Tiny little joint but really good food. Though not celiac safe there are heaps of GF options. Chicken parm sammy was epically good. Thin cutlet, super moist. Sauce was nice. Omg this place is so comforting and the staff are phenomenal! Super nice and happy to answer any questions we had about the menu. The Spicy Pasta -- the sauce is DIE for! (Pro-tip: order the stuffed mushrooms w sausage and make those babies swim in this sauce). Pasta is cooked perfectly al dente. The sauce isn't too spicy (so if you have wiggle room to make the pasta MORE spicy if you want). Stuffed Mushrooms -- these are little crack bombs. They are savory, salty and have the "lingering taste" that makes you want to order more. Burrata Salad w/ Seasonal Fruit -- The Burrata cheese is fresh and delicate and whatever balsamic the kitchen gave us --- it's a hit! This dish is a refreshing additional that compliments the pizza and pasta entrees BBQ Pizza -- the pizza didn't feel too overwhelming. Not overloaded w/ toppings. I really like the bread (we spit the crusts by dipping it in the balsamic and the pasta sauce). The dough has a nice soft crunch to it but it is soft/chewy enough that it doesn't hurt your teeth. The food here was really good I had the spicy jojo's pizza and it was one of the best pizza's I ever had. The service was so good and they were also kind enough to give my kids toys. We ordered two pasta dishes, and it came with a complimentary appetizer.As much as I would love to give this place five stars, unfortunately, I found a piece of white hair in my appetizer sauce, which made the rest of the meal a bit harder to enjoy. The spicy pasta I ordered was still good overall (8/10). The cheesy bread it came with was great, and I liked how rich and thick the cream sauce was with the seasoning well incorporated. Service-wise, the cashiers were a bit rushy, likely because it was close to closing time. The ambience inside was nice and cozy, and there was also outdoor seating available. Our favorite part of the meal was the complimentary bread & dip as well as the soup. Both Tomato Bisque and Vegetable Minestrone were so flavorful. Don't be alarmed. The food was good too. The Shrimp & Crab Ravioli, a special, had a good amount of crab. Jo Jo's Spicy Pasta is deservingly a popular dish. The portion was generous. The restaurant is tiny with a few tables. The patio is more spacious although I didn't step outside. I believe diners were watching a game on TV outside. Service was friendly and attentive. We stopped in for a good meal. And a great meal we had! Chicken Parmigiana, Lasagna and Ravioli. We had soup and salad. The soup was hot and the salad was fresh and crisp. We even brought home a little for tomorrow. Our server was so helpful. There several menus due to Valentine Day. We dined outside and were do happy to have a heater. The outside dining was so nice. They have nice lighting and great music playing. However I know they can't help it but flocks of birds kept flying over squawking. We came here on a Saturday afternoon, very little people here, but very beautiful and chill set up, sat in the back patio. Park was easily found, but if it was crowded, I could see how the parking would be difficult The food here is great, and big portions, and very affordable. Good kids menu, lots of options and great deal, like 7 bucks. We got the spicy JoJo pasta, which we loved, great garlic bread, big portion, not really spicy, but the sausage and mushroom were great and the sauce was very flavorful, The Fried Calamari was very tasty, and light breading, the marinara dipping was amazing, we were dipping everything in it, the garlic bread, pizza, everything. I also got the fried chicken parmesan and spaghetti which i loved, again noodles were average, but the marinara, and fried cutlet was great, big portion. This place was so good, we came back at night to order pizza for the house. We got the Florentine pizza, and Margherita and added pepperoni. Dough was great, almost a sourdough bite, topping were amazing, the florentine, had sausage, mushroom, spinach, and the Ricotta, amazing. Sauce on the margherita was great again. If you are a Glutard, like me, this place is a GEM. They ask when you arrive if you have any food sensitivities, which is so nice, to not have to explain. And OMG. The GF Chicken Parmesan and GF Cannoli ~ I wanna marry um. The Eggplant too. They even give you complimentary GF bruschetta as soon as you sit down, and they have GF croutons for their delicious Caesar salad. I am told all of the "normal" Italian food (from the Borchetta to the Cannoli) is excellent as well. The prices are reasonable and the portions are very generous. I have missed Italian food SO MUCH. One of the brothers is also Gluten intolerant, which explains a lot. He makes all of the MANY GF deserts himself, and you can feel the love. I intend trying more of those beautiful deserts, but right now, I'm stuck on the Cannolis. I will be back, very soon :) read more

I don't know why I love this place so much. It's super chill, home-y, and non-pretentious. It's not trying to be fancy or trendy, just serve good food and enjoy your time while doing it. I've even taken my out of town family here a few times. The one thing that really sticks out to me about the pizza's here is the sauce. I love extra sauce, and the normal here is a healthy helping of sauce. And it just tastes different. All the flavors work, this is how I imagine things cooked "with love" taste like. Outside of that, the crust is super crispy, almost fried (but oily). Pear and gorgonzola salad was solid, but also huge. Can easily split that. And they also give out bruschetta which was very onion-y and had a good bite to it. Every time we've been in, service has been super pleasant. The owner even offered my younger daughter some gelato, which he later apologized because I think the wait staff mentioned parent's don't always love giving sugar to kids, but it was fine. The only thing to be aware of is that inside seating is extremely limited. Maybe like 12 people max, they have a covered back patio, but if it's super hot, that can be a consideration. read more

My kid insisted I write this 5-star review. Since he was diagnosed with celiac disease a few months ago, eating out has felt like a bit of a culinary obstacle course. So when we found Tardino Brothers and their gluten-free options, we were hopeful and they exceeded expectations. One of the first questions we were asked was whether anyone in our party was gluten free or had allergies. As a parent of a kid with celiac, that meant a lot. They even brought out bruschetta for the table and a separate gluten-free version just for my son -- no awkward asking. The seasonal artichoke with aioli was amazing, and my husband (a self-proclaimed wedge connoisseur) loved their wedge salad. The gluten-free minestrone was delicious, the fettuccine Alfredo and spaghetti with meatballs were great, and my son gave the gluten-free lasagna a big thumbs up (though the bread got a polite "meh"). It's a little pricey, but since the diagnosis it's been hard finding places where we can relax and enjoy a meal without playing ingredient detective. Found this hidden gem in Pasadena, tucked away on a quiet street, it almost looked abandoned at first, lol. I was craving pasta, and this place did not disappoint. It felt like some of the staff were sending negative vibes - likely because they were so busy, but the side eye had me feeling a bit guilty that I wanted my food when the app said it would be ready. Can't go wrong with Tardino Bros. Fresh and tasty sandwiches are my favorite. I remember my first sandwich at the previous location in Azusa, that's right from A to Z in the USA. I used to never take pictures of food, and Tardino Bros. is where I took couple pics of my fabulous sandwich. I'm far from a food photographer but these sandwiches deserve to be remembered. I tried this spot for the first time and I'm already planning my next visit it was so good. I brought my dog with me to sit in the outdoor space and the staff was very friendly. They even offered to bring a bowl of water for my pup. They brought some bruschetta type bread as well waited for the pizza. The tomatoe topping was so flavorful and had a bit of a sweetness to it. I loved the mixture of herbs and spices used in it. The pizza was amazing. The crust was not too thick and not too thin and it had the perfect crunch with each bite. Calamari came with onions. It was hard to find the calamari because I got mostly onions and the breading wasn't the best but the sauce was good. A bit of a surprise find near old town Pasadena. This Italian deli features large portions for reasonable prices. Most of the seating seems to be outdoors on the patio where you first enter from the gate. Fortunately the weather cooperated with us on a nice afternoon. Menu was extensive for what I expected. I ordered the vegetarian lasagna which was huge. However, the inside ricotta was cold so it may have been premade and then reheated. Once heated a second time through, the food was fine. So was the minestrone soup,and strawberry gelato that was complimentary after the temperature issue. The bruschetta appetizer had more parmesan than with other restaurants and I liked that. Our waitress was really nice but slow. She operated in a rather serial manner with her customers before going inside rather than checking on all of her tables. On a Thursday evening that was warm for January, strolling the Pasadena neighborhood of Boston Court and Ice House hoping to find dinner before a show, the two of us happened upon this gem. We were greeted warmly and informally, took in the welcoming rustic family-restaurant interior, and chose the outdoor patio despite the two large television screens. Our very friendly and kind server supplied us with menus and immediately asked about any food allergies or sensitivities (their menu features a large selection of gluten-free options). As we pondered the menu, she soon brought water and surprised us with superb bruschetta, the equal of any I've had anywhere, even in Italy. My companion ordered the lasagne and added a side Caesar salad, which exceeded our already high expectations. The dressing was unusual, interesting, and good; the flakes of Parmesan cheese were of the highest quality; the entirety was fresh and delightful. Our main dishes arrived within minutes of the salad being cleared, adding to my guess that our server was not just unobtrusively friendly and efficient but also very observant and experienced. My 12" gorgonzola-and-pear pizza was wonderful: The gorgonzola was ample but not overpowering; the pears were perfect, and the pizza crust and mozzarella excellent. With only a medium appetite, I ended up taking two slices home. The lasagne was also excellent, with some interesting subtle flavor notes (basil?) and perfectly textured pasta. I could definitely tell that the pasta is made fresh everyday. The garlic bread was perfect addition to the delicious Cobb salad. I ordered a sausage meatball mushroo onion 12-in build your own pizza. Great flavor and texture. What I ordered easily was good for 2 to 3 people. Very good value for the dollar. I ordered delivery after talking with tardinos on the phone. I was told that they do not have their own the delivery service and that I would need to order from GrubHub or Uber eats etc. I ordered from Uber eats. I will say I was truly impressed by the service at this restaurant. I was in a large group about 18 people, and there were no hiccups with the service. They were able to divide up the checks without a problem and the food was really delicious. I was so hungry that I forgot to take a picture of it, but I got the Italian meatball sandwich. Marinara sauce for dipping was a bit salty (personal preference, we prefer the sauce a bit more tart) Clam linguine was good. 7/10 mainly for the pasta. The hubby said the clams were a bit sandy. This is not uncommon with clam (and scallop). Fettuccine Alfredo was meh for me 5/10. This was my craving but i didn't get my fix.
