The food was creative and delicious. The space was cramped. The ambiance is mediocre. The head waiter/manger was rude and impatient. Our waitress was great.

We ordered -Sepionetas de playa a la plancha Grilled baby cuttlefish -Almejas al Jerez con berenjena y jamón ibérico Clams with sherry, eggplant and iberian ham (not my favorite, but my daughter really loved this dish) Anchoas 00 con tomate fresco y albahaca Anchovies 00 with fresh tomato and basil (perfectly balanced anchovies and tomato with basil)

Food was good. Atmosphere was great. Service was very slow. They gave great street seating but the service did not make up for it.

Bar seating on a busy Sunday! Highly recommend making a reservation

The owner of this spot has a Michelin star that being said expect a wait for a spot at the bar. Service was fast friendly and efficient kudos to them for maintaining high standards despite being super busy. The food here was the best bite I had during our entire 12 day trip. The flatbread was incredible and cuttlefish testicles surprisingly delicious. This should be a must go on your trip list.

If your in Barcelona & want TAPAS GO HERE!!! GREAT lil spot with cool atmosphere not to mention GR8 foodIt's a small place so we went early, they open at 7pm we arrived just a bit after sat at the counter luckily the menu had English on all the food so that was a HUGH help for sure! Our server was Pablo from Germany, LOL!!! not really he is from Argentina. (Ask for him, & tell him the people from Las Vegas told you to Extremely helpful & patient (always a good thing for tourists) with recommendations~ E started with grilled french bread and instead of rubbing it with garlic, they used fresh tomato's, might sound odd but was quite good Next we had Iberico Ham a full dang plate of it, sliced so thin just ideal to grab & devour either alone or on the grilled tomato bread. Along came he "Bikini Sandwiches" called this as they resemble the bottom of a bikini, a triangle of course it could be the top of the bikini, but this is Spain and topless might be a popular thing these are grilled smaller sandwiches with Iberico Ham (never can get enuf of this) w/ mozzarella cheese all melty deliciousness and truffle. Now I am NOT a big fan of truffle however these are wonderful treats so don't be put off due to the truffle thang! our next selection was the avocado salad, simple presentation of sliced avo about 15 or so topped with pesto, pine nuts and a it of cheese which I think was feta ‍ , also my husband ordered tomato tartare!! who ever heard of this?!!? It looked like meat tartare like a a shape of a raw hamburger pattie with aioli and capers along the edge, he enjoyed the entire thing by himself~ lastly we shared their cheesecake, served with mixed berry topping? kinda like jam and it added a nice element to an already delisssh cheesecake

Best tapas in all of Barcelona! Where is the so deserved Michelin Star? The most incredible meatballs I have ever had! Tomato bread with Iberian ham, grilled Skirt Steak w/ Chimichurri & the Bikini de Jamon Iberico, wow. Oh, and the pear and rosemary jelly.... Only wish was the McFoie was on the menu.

Sangria, eggplant dish

From my son- best food on this trip! Everything we ordered was delicious- from the eggplant, sirloin, croquetas, bikini sandwich. Enjoyed it with a sangria, great spot for tapas in Barcelona

This was recommended by friends awhile back, I remembered the modern ambiance, amazing Tapas, friendly service and the place was as busy then until now. For this big restaurant caliber, it's pretty crowded yet they do a good job with a fast turnaround. We did the early Dinner and by the time we got out there was already a long line for late Diners. The fact that even after a decade, it's rare that I go back to the same spot let alone they're still around after all these years. You already know that tells a lot and I feel bad for those who didn't have the same great experience, hope they give it another shot. See y'all soon! Salut, Vermouth!

My son had been here last year and thought, it was a solid. We put our name in, went to a nearby park bench to wait and watch people for 50 minutes. The servers outside are grumpy as to many people are crowding the sidewalk and impeding his service. Finally, our name was called, were seated at the bar, and watched a chef make the magic dishes. The menu is huge and I can't help but watch the delicious dishes flying by us. So little time and yet so many great choices, this won't be easy. We began with the beef tenderloin montadito foie gras. It was presented as a open face sandwich on a bagette. We split it as it had a huge piece of foie gras. The tenderloin was tough and the tapas tasted like indivdual components, not a blended or refined profile. The grilled razor clams were nicely cooked, slightly gritty and needed to be washed more thoroughly. The Spanish omelet wedge was spiritual, dish of the night award. The onion made the dish! The sliced fried artichoke was finely shaved, and again lacked a enjoyable flavor that I would order again. The chips with fried eggs and Jabugo ham was different, tasty and a concept I would not of thought about. Delicious! Casveseria Catalanahe was packed and stacked for a reason. A high vibe and energy even in the face of a revolt at the check in desk from hungry dinners. I came say without hesitation, we will give them a second try. The staff was friendly, engaging, warm and a good sense of humor, nothing but smiles. I can't wait for our next trip to Cerveseria Catalana and let them tell me what to order. Good luck and see you sooner than later.

We were happy to enter the cozy La Alcoba Azul and seated by a smiling host immediately & presented with menus. The interior looks almost like a wine cellar with brick vaulted ceilings. The offerings are best described as fusion tapas but there are a few traditional bites as well. Our waiter presented us with an amuse bouché of pumpkin hummus topped with roasted pepitas on an herbed toasted baguette crisp. DELICIOUS! We confidently ordered the tomato tartare with avocado cream, basil, olive powder and rosemary olive oil caviar as well as a half order of cured Iberican meats featuring chorizo, loin, sausage and ham, an order of the hummus with black olives, parsley, pine nuts and pita triangles. All were terrific! We especially enjoyed the meats and tomato tartare. I enjoyed a red sangria that was satisfying and happened to be topped with cinnamon...a first and welcome addition for me. La Alcoba Azul is a spot we'll keep on our tapas go to list! You shouldn't hesitate to visit.

Our server, Amaya, was funny, knowledgeable, and incredibly attentive. He took great care of us, and every single recommendation he made was delicious. I wish I knew all the Spanish names of the dishes because everything was amazing. The highlights for us were the Bacalao -- so tender and full of flavor -- and honestly the best octopus I've ever had in my life. We also loved the soft steak with duck liver served on a slice of French baguette, the shrimp skewers, patatas, and the Spanish ham with tomato toasts. Every dish was unforgettable. On top of the incredible food, the restaurant itself has such an elegant atmosphere with beautiful décor that made the whole dining experience even more special. I came here for lunch, and thankfully I didn't have to wait too long before I got seated inside. The interior is a bit on the smaller side, but it's quite bright with a lot of natural sunlight inside. For the food, I decided to get squid, codfish with honey allioli, and iberian ham montaditos. While all of the food was great, for me the codfish was hands-down the star of the show and probably one of the best dishes that I ate on the trip. The flavor of the sauce combined with the texture of the fish actually blew me away, and I can see why my server highly recommended this to me. If you just get one things when coming here, definitely make sure not to miss this dish. Highly recommend checking this place out for Spanish tapas, they represent the cuisine well!

The pork belly marinated in lime was tasty but the fresh Mackerel stole the show! The Truffled eggs with foie and mushrooms was finished table-side and was amazing. We missed that the Cuttlefish had squid ink-no matter, so light and exquisite-only complaint would be to have more cuttlefish. Service was engaged and friendly from start to finish.
