I really want to thank Jon and Hugo for going the extra mile for me today and for creating a new plastic cover for my kitchen overhead light. Even though at first, some of the staff were not sure if it could be done, Jon confidently assessed the problem, solved my problem, and left me feeling at ease, while they made a new plastic piece for my broken piece, while I waited. The result was a shiny new cover for my overhead light in my kitchen, which fit perfectly. I cannot thank these guys enough for their willingness to solve this problem and get the job done right. Thank you, Tap Plastics, Jon, Shaun and Hugo! read more

Awesome!!! They were very quick with my order, they got us out of there in no time. Please note this is only based on my order of 8 same pieces. Great customer service and very knowledgeable. read more

John and Hugo are the best. I came in at 455 pm on a Saturday and needed 5 pieces of 1/2" acrylic cut. They turned the saw back on and cut it up for me. Thanks! read more

I frequent TAP Plastics at least a few times a month and won't go anywhere else; they're fantastic! Kim, Riley, Jacob, Eric (unfortunately no longer there) and the rest of the crew have always been very helpful, friendly and willing to work with me on all sorts of projects. In the many dozens of times I've been to this TAP, I can't think of a single time I can mention anything negative about them. I've been there a couple times where they got a sudden rush of customers and I had to wait a few minutes to check out at the register, but that's not their fault. It was simply chance that so many customers were there at the same time. If anything, perhaps that goes to show how many others are grateful for an awesome location like this to help with their plastic/acrylic/other project needs. Keep up the great work guys/Kim! read more

I just left the store and I experienced the best customer service from Jon and Kim. When you have a two-year-old and a three-year-old and you're trying to order some items it's really hard when they're trying to touch and grab everything in the store. Kim is such a sweetheart she came out of her office to help me with my daughters, so that I could concentrate on what I was doing. I waited in my car with my children while they made the cuts and Job was kind enough to bring them to car! I will definitely order from this location again! Thank you!! read more

I went to several different stores trying to replace my reptile glass door. I thought it would have been easy to replace. I went to Home Depot, Lowe's, Ace, a few glass places in town, I couldn't find anyone to cut me glass. Finally two people suggest I go to Tap Plastics and under 15 min, I had my reptile door fixed. Ryan was the one helping me today. I was all ready to hear I'm sorry our machine is broke or we don't do that... but he said no problem. He took measurements of my other glass door and within 15 min I had it in my hand. I will always come back to Tap Plastics because of how quick, polite, and knowledgeable they are. Thank you Ryan! :) read more

I have heard so many good things about this store i just had to check it out for myself. So i brought my game used Jack Cust baseball helmet and a big baseball signed by 7 different players and asked Kim if she could help me design a custom display case for both items. I told her what I was thinking and she gave me her suggestions and I LOVED them. She knew exactly what I was wanting the custom display cases to look like. After about 1 hour of going over every single important detail, we made the design of the two cases and they got to work on making my ideas a reality. It took about 1-2 weeks to make both cases which is a perfect amount of days. And when I returned to the store I was amazed of the fantastic job that Tap Plastics did. It was a little expensive but TOTALLY worth it. I then got another amazing sports item that needed a custom display case and I knew exactly where to go. I arrived at the store and they remembered me and greeted me very professionally. Again, I showed Kim the amazing item that I had and we went over the specific details about this display case. I told Kim that this display case was even more special and I told her what I had in mind and she suggested a couple extra details that she thought I would like and it's like she read my mind. lol. She was 110% right. I knew exactly what I wanted and Kim made my idea even better. This time it took a little longer to make because of the specific details. Which was totally fine.I came in about almost a week after I ordered the display case and the man that was making the display case (sorry that I don't remember your name) had it almost done. It was suppose to take about 2.5 weeks to make and it took not even 1 whole week. AWESOME!!!!!!! And it looks amazing. Tap Plastics definitely went above and beyond again and I really appreciate it. I definitely know where I am going to get my custom display cases made. read more

Kim was very knowledgeable in regards to the product(s) I was specifically looking for. She was also kind enough to hold onto and return a lost dog tag (thank you by the way)!! Additionally, the store is very clean and well organized. They carry very high quality products. I would definitely return for my plastic/project needs. read more

Only 1 star because you can't give zero stars. There is one older gentleman working there that is an awesome employee. The manager there is rude, has no people skills and I will not walk in to this store all because she works there. She tried to say they could not cut down pieces I purchased there two days prior and that I had to buy all new pieces again. She thought I grabbed these pieces out of the scrap bin. Thank god the one person that helped me the day earlier was there and confirmed these were specialty cuts and I did pay for them. She still had an attitude and said I had to pay for the re cuts. I said no problem. In the end I walked out with out them cut and will never return. Seriously don't think your attitude towards customers is the way to go. Seems like she has something to prove to her employees. Yea don't do what she does. Leave your attitude at home. read more

I went to TAP Plastics, in Pleasanton, yesterday, January 11, 2018, and worked with Kim on a quotation for a sheet of plastic. Luckily it was at the end of the day and it gave me a chance to think about how I would assemble what I needed. Today, January 12, 2018, I returned to TAP Plastics and gave Kim the revised ideas for our sneeze guard. They rounded the corners with a 1/2" radius, they applied the plastic hinges, and they smoothed the edges. The final product was amazing. Sometimes, simple elegance is, elegant! Kim was extremely helpful and the folks working in the shop area did an amazing job turning my vision into reality. The pricing was bit more than what I initially expected, but after seeing the finished product, it is cheaper than anything else I saw on the market. Great service! Great products! Easy to work with! read more

No standard-size garbage cans would fit under my sink, and the only ones I found that would fit were crazy expensive. I bought a tall laundry hamper from Target for a few bucks. It was the right (narrow) width, but was too tall. I brought it to Tap Plastics and asked them to cut a few inches off the top. They looked at me like I was crazy, and I kind of had to talk them into doing it. They warned me that it would be ugly, but I had to convince them that I really didn't care how my under-the-sink garbage can looked. They finally agreed to do it, and in the end, even they agreed that it turned out great. They charged me $10, and now I have a nice, big garbage can that fits perfectly. Thanks, Tap Plastics! read more

Great Service!! I've been using them for years and i have to tell you John and Ed are great guys to work with.

I stopped in for some pieces I needed for a Halloween costume. John listened to what I needed, then came up with a couple of different options for me, cost-wise. I really appreciated the thought he put into helping me find the best solution, even though it was a somewhat frivolous project. Very good customer service, and the solution he came up with worked well. read more

Napa is in the middle of the complex fires and to say it is a terrible time might be an understatement. We had been evacuated on Wednesday night and stayed down in Pleasanton. Our day on Thursday was meet with the need for us to head back into Napa to help some friend in need the trouble was the R95 masks where gone EVERYwhere so I know I had to look before I left Pleasanton. The kids and I were in the parking lot and figured we didn't have anything to loose. One of the employees showed us the section and asked what we needed them for. He then headed to the back to see if there was any chance they had some in the back and he found nothing. He came back out and so kindly offered their personal masks for us. I offered to pay but they said not to worry about it. I was so touched all the emotions of the past several days hit and I started to cry. Someone walked in the store and saw me crying and gave me a much needed hug. We then found out it was the owner Kim. We headed out with our masks and they stopped us on the sidewalk with everyone's mask from the shop so we had masks to share when we hit town. Wow what an amazing and generous place this is. They will forever have my heart and business. read more

Our hardware store did not carry a replacement for a ceiling light cover - too old. They referred me to Tap where I took the broken plastic cover. Unfortunately Tap could not provide a replacement. Within seconds of delivering the bad News they came up with a suggestion, and in minutes, repaired the broken cover. It's better than new. Creative and friendly people! read more

I had an amazing customer service experience..... So rare to find. I walked in and was met by Kathryn , I had a project idea in my head but not sure how it would look. Kathryn listened to my idea and actually cut some pieces and assembled them to show me different looks and possibilities. I was ecstatic to not only see how it would look and how to assemble them in different ways. But it got even better when she gave me samples to take home.....at no cost for her time or materials. Great store and excellent service. PS... I never write reviews, but felt this deserved one. Kevin read more

I had an unfortunate experience recently with a new employee who did not know what he was doing. I ended up having to go back to the store and explain my experience to the manager, Kim Lucero. She was very understanding and walked me through what would be best and most appropriate for my project. She cut me a brand new piece of acrylic at no additional cost for my inconvenience. Thank you, Kim! If you come into the store, I would also recommend working with Kat as she is very knowledgable. read more

It is our pleasure to recognize TAP Plastics for their very generous discount on product that will be used as displays for our annual "Crab Dinner" fund raiser. A HUGE attaboy to Jon! Thee most knowledgeable man on the plane! An amazing resource. Do yourself a favor and ask for Jon!

I was so disappointed by the amount of help I received from the front desk clerk. This is a fun place with lots of fun ideas but he was unable to answer any questions or offer suggestions. I noticed he couldn't or wouldn't help other customers either. I first tried one idea, had it cut, purchased it, took it to work. It didn't work out. I went back a couple of days later and noticed another much better material/option. Why wasn't this pointed out or suggested to begin with? I purchased this new plastic instead. No discount offered - just out $200 I feel unnecessarily. I noticed that some workers in the back were caring to a customer but the front man was in a daze about his responsibilities. read more

I had a project that need customized cutting. Kim was very helpful in providing me with choices of material to use for my project. She even allowed me to bring home a couple of samples to try and see if it would work for me. I returned and made my choice and gave her my project measurements. She went beyond just the cutting but also made sure the sides of the cuts were smooth. Fantastic customer service. read more

I have about 12 experiences with this store from the last 18 years we have lived in the area. I've had several custom cut pieces as well as bought off the shelf stuff. They have always been helpful and I have no bad experiences, so I am surprised to see there are people who have had very negative experiences. I last went 8/3/2017 and 3/10/2018 my salesperson, Hugo was professional and very nice, gave me a great deal on a piece of scrap cut-off, got me a custom cut matching piece and answered all of my questions very patiently. Hugo was also my salesperson 5/20/2018 and he was again super nice and very professional. I gave him the wrong details about a custom piece I had cut in March, and when I realized it was too thick, he re-priced out the thinner material, and had it re-cut. I felt so bad - it was due to my mistake that the error was made! But he didn't charge me for the wrong cut. That was above and beyond customer service. Thanks Tap Plastics! read more

I had the worst experience at this location.. all i needed was a piece of glass for a picture frame that broke.. i didn't know if they sold glass or not so i call them to ask. I has a coworker standing right next to me and heard me ask " i have a broken piece of GLASS and i need to replace my GLASS with another piece of GLASS, do you sell glass?" They said yes. I said great ill be down in a little bit to pick it up. I brought the frame with the broken piece of GLASS with me inside the shop and said " i need another piece of GLASS this size i called earlier and the guy said you guys can help me with this" he measures the glass and i ask " will it be long for you to cut the GLASS?" He said no.. meanwhile behind the counter this entire conversation there was a lady who wore glasses was interupting us. Grabbing a stapler and telling the guy who was helping me to hurry up, or move out of her way, she rolled her eyes, reached over his arms to grab a pen.. just totally being rude.. and then he said it would be about 15 mins. While i waited they helped another lady who purchased all sorts and sizes of plastic sheets. And she dropped $60.00 on the ground and i told her she dropped her money. She said thank you ssoo much.. and then the guy who helped me brought out a piece of plastic covered with a blue film and i was confused and said "no no i didn't order plastic i needed a piece of glass to replace this broken one" he said I'm sorry we dont sell glass" i was speechless i told him Ive said severval times i needed glass not plastic.. i even brought the broken piece of glass in to show you i needed a piece this size of GLASS! I told him can i get a refund because i dont need plastic i needed glass.. he said "um no after any plastic is cut its final sale no refunds" i said "it was only $10.37 cant you make a exception??" and so upset with his service i grabbed the useless piece of plastic and walked about to leave and walked out of the store when the lady from earlier walked up and " i feel bad they treated you like that, i heard you say you needed GLASS not plastic.. and you were very sweet for telling me i dropped my money so here" and she handed me a $10.00 bill " I'm doing a bill project and i can probably use your piece of plastic and i know you dont need it and i feel bad they wouldn't give you money back so here ill solve both our problems and smiled" i said thank you so much and she told me to go to Michael's for glass. I just feel this customer service there was so awful from this store. And seriously?? It was $10.37 and you guys couldn't return it because of this miss understanding.. and it wasn't just me who noticed, there was another customer who offered her own money to fix their problem... lets just say i wont be going back.. read more

I am pretty disappointed with this company. I called requesting three 1/8" thick clear plastic custom pieces for a few surfaces in my home. One was for a dining room table, one for an entertainment center and one for a counter top. This was the nearest location to our home, a 45-minute drive one-way, so my husband made a special trip to pick these pieces up. When he arrived home, we were excited to put our pieces on the tables and counter top! Much to our dismay, two of the three were cut to incorrect lengths. Very disappointing! One of them was written down incorrectly when my order was taken, 18 1/8" ended up being 18 1/2". Ok, so I can probably live with this. However, the other was written down correctly, but is nearly an inch too long! Unfortunately, this one was for my counter top and hangs over the edge quite obviously, so this will not be acceptable. I called and spoke the same person who originally quoted me, she was very unapologetic, but said she would cut them to the correct length if I brought them back in, but that was ALL she could do, no compensation for my time or fuel to drive another 1-1/2 hours out of my way for their mistake(s). She made it very clear that she could not drive to me (which I obviously would know without her even having mention this) so she did not know what I expected her to do. Not to mention, I paid nearly $260 for these three pieces! read more

Staff are constantly uninformed and infighting as to who is more incompetent. This store is incredibly unprofessional, they sold part of my reserved order from under me even when my order was marked as reserved and were not able to produce replacements. You can't get a clear understanding of what inventory they have, it changes by the minute as the staff doesn't want to check, can't seem to use the computers correctly and seems to go by what they've seen lately. I would suggest ordering from somewhere else or going to a different location. read more

Manager Kim Lucero is the best!! Our organization needed several last minute ball display cases for a fundraiser. I really didn't have time to drive all over town to get the several ball cases I needed but Kim offered to get what she didn't have at her store and have them all waiting for me later that same day. She saved me so much time and effort. If that wasn't enough, we ended up having someone donate another brand of ball display cases and we ended up only needing one of the 7 I bought originally. Although I am sure disappointed at the return, Kim was very gracious in processing my return. I am SURE I will be contacting Kim again for any future plastic needs. read more
