This review is specifically towards Lowes Installation Service. This is the WORST service ...very un-professional sub contractors. Lowes does not own installation team, but rely solely on subcontractors. 1.We paid Lowes full price for installation and was assured scheduler will call within 48 hours 2. Had to call Lowes after 96 hours waiting...who gave me subcontractor number.....who happens to be in LA, while I am located in SF bay area 3. The subcontracttor NEVER called, I had to call 3-4 different times to be "assured" installer will call me 4. After 4 times, they gave installer number ( name AJ )....who never ever answered the phone 5. Finally after lot of escalations by Lowes install team, so called AJ called this morning telling ( not asking) that he will visit between 100 and 130 6. AJ does not have simply courtesy to call/text that he is running late 7. Shows up at 345....one look and says he can not install garage door opener ...the reason he gave is power outlet point is not exactly above opener motor. 8. Asked if its building code, he explained Lowes prohibits to install if power outlet is not directly above motor....and he will call Lowes to cancel installation. I waited over an hour just to get assistance with blinds, which was really frustrating. I could see that some employees made an effort to call for help, and I appreciate that, but unfortunately, no one ever came. It felt like I was just left hanging without any updates or support. If you go on your own and know what to look for, then it's fine. You walk in, pay, and walk out. Now if you need help with anything, that's a completely different story. I was at Lowe's for 2 hours already, happily shopping and finding the things that I needed. Then I couldn't find a specific faucet that went with all the fixtures I decided on. So I researched online and found out it was sold out and unavailable at any stores. So... I returned all the fixtures and started again. I found what I wanted except the faucet was out of stock. I looked online and found out I could order it. I walked up to the check out, and asked the man who was standing there if I can order the faucet. He said I can order it online myself or I can go to customer service. (He seemed lazy and didn't want to help me except for ringing up my items.) "I don't want to be charged for shipping. How do I do that?" I hear you. You can order online I guess. Or you can ask customer service. "Where's customer service?" Um, over there (he pointed to somewhere.) But maybe we might have it in stock. "Can you check for me?" Well, you can look online. "Can YOU check for me?" He scanned the number and said there were 4 on the floor. He called someone to help me who met me at the sink fixture aisle. The person who helped me was the sweetest, most knowledgeable and patient man. He was older Asian gentleman who reminded me of my grampa. He looked up the number, grabbed a ladder, then handed me the sink fixture. Easy peasy. I was ready to pay and the same cashier guy was there to help me. I asked him about the price of 2 light fixtures. They rang up as $89 each. I said, "The price for these are $71 on the display." Well those are probably different lights. "Can I show you? They're the exact same lights on display with the exact same name." Well, I don't know. They're probably different lights. "Can I show them to you? They're right here." I can't leave my post. "I'll take a picture then." I showed him the picture and he said, "I need the item number to know for sure." "Ok, so how do I get the item number when it's all the way up top and my camera can't zoom in that close." I can't see the item number. "Can YOU get someone to help me???" He called the same nice man to help me who got a ladder, took the item number and said, "You're right! These lights are the same. Take a picture of this sign. They'll adjust the price for you." We ordered a microwave and were not able to return it (48 hour return policy) despite it being unopened. The online purchase experience makes it intentionally unclear that returns for large appliances are limited to 48 hours from purchase date. We went there on a Sunday morning to do quick research on a puzzling plumbing problem. Our now retired plumber had permanently piped our whole house water purification system in place. And we needed to remove a tank for servicing. Ugh! As I stood puzzling over the various plumbing fittings, one of their employees, George, asked if I needed help. His vest had an embroidered patch which said "Plumbing 8 years". Well, his experience definitely showed! George thought of a brilliant solution to our plumbing problems - compression couplings. They were easy to install, no glue needed, and best of all, inexpensive compared to the parts we were considering through countless hours of late-night googling and watching DIY YouTubers! George helped me locate the 2 sizes of couplings we needed and we were quickly out of there. We installed them and they worked perfectly! I would give a -0 score but that's not available. I purchased a dishwasher from Lowe's in Dublin CA 2months ago, it took them over 3 weeks to deliver it and it WAS in stock. They gave me a faulty water line which flooded under my sink twice, they came back out to replace the water line a week later and did NOT pull the dishwasher out to connect it. My ENTIRE kitchen is FLOODED and they were supposed to send someone out to rectify this situation, no one came. No one has even called me and they won't answer my call or messages. I recently had two very bad experiences with Lowes or lowes.com and not necessarily the store its self but I did order a $500 gas bbq grill which came from either the Union City store or the Dublin location I honestly am not sure now because I had them delete my account from their system and the email I received for the order does not say where the grill came from. The first problem is customer service couldn't link my "guest" purchases made online to my Lowes account I created after I made the purchases. The account had all the same information used to purchase the items but they just couldn't do it even though I was requesting it and giving them my permission. The only reason I can think of that they couldn't/wouldn't do it is because the Lowes corporation doesn't want to provide the little Lowes "My Rewards" that I would've received for my $700 purchase (I also ordered a small outdoor shed and cover for the grill). This is the problem with corporate greed in the U.S. they don't care about making the customer happy anymore. After spending at least 30 minutes on the phone 4/7/25 with their outsourced customer service who couldn't help me and couldn't show me where to delete the account I created (they walked me through the steps and I looked myself and there was no option to delete the account). I got a phone call today 4/9 after leaving a voicemail describing my dissatisfaction with their automated survey on 4/7 and they still couldn't help me find where to delete the account. The "supervisor" had to do it for me. Dear Lowes Customer Service Management, your policies are insufficient at best and your service was non existent. No amount of script reading can fix this when you have a customer that is unhappy with their order and the "supervisor" your speaking with is reading a script and not actually addressing the issue, you have already failed. The second problem I had was when the grill arrived yesterday 4/8/25 it was not assembled correctly! The hood hinge was missing its screw on the left side! How can this item have even left the warehouse like this?!? Why offer free assembly if its just going to be a crappy job. I had the delivery people put it back on the truck to return it for a refund. To Lowes Executive/Management team-get your crap together and address the issues within your organization. This kind of stuff is totally unacceptable and really a loss of profit for your shareholders. The CEO should be terminated because obviously they don't have a clue as to what is going on at the basic store level. The outsourced customer service you're using is not functioning properly, they have outdated documentation in their scripts that describe places to go on your website that don't exist. Unfortunately not a helpful store. We went looking for a few items, and all of the items were either unavailable, broken, or cheaper on Amazon (without the hassle of lugging it home too). Upon entering a nice employee greeted us and asked if we needed any help finding what we came for (drawer handles and a sliding screen door), but later on once we got to the screen doors and needed extra assistance and pressed the button, nobody came. We waited for maybe 10 minutes, then made our way back to the same lady to ask if she could help, then waited some more as she figured out who could help, and it turned out the person assigned to that section of the store was busy, so we proceeded to wait another 15 minutes or so before help was recieved. The screen doors we were looking at in question were all dented so we were asking if there was a proper replacement in the back but the answer was no. We were told that we could order online, but the point of coming to Lowe's in person was to see if we could avoid additional charges and change our door that day. I'm writing this review because I was very happy with the customer service at this Lowe's store in Dublin, CA - specifically from Jose Caloca. He helped me (and my dad) purchase a new Bosch washer/dryer, answered all of our questions, made recommendations, pointed things out that I wasn't aware of, was very thorough so that I didn't forget or overlook anything, walked us through every option, and went above and beyond!! Jose was very knowledgable, professional, friendly, happy, understanding and patient, and I felt like I could trust him. I truly appreciate everything he did. He was the only one in the department and did a good job helping me and another customer. I think Lowe's should have 2 employees on the floor though - it would be a better customer experience and also not so stressful for 1 employee. I used to work at Home Depot and held many other jobs where customer satisfaction was the #1 priority. So I recognize good/bad service immediately and compare it to how I would handle situations myself. I can't say enough good things about Jose. Lowe's is lucky to have him!! If the service was bad, I would not have hesitated to walk out the door and purchase elsewhere. The Bosch washer/dryer weren't available to look at in the store - Other brands were on display. It would be nice if Lowe's could put Bosch on display in the future. I already have a Bosch washer/dryer that I'm replacing so it wasn't as crucial for me to see it in-person. But if I didn't own one already, I would definitely want to check it out before purchasing and probably would've went somewhere else. I also thought the Manager was great too!! I forget his name, but he offered to help my dad and me when we were waiting for Jose and chatted with us until he was available - super friendly, happy and personable. And when Jose needed to answer some quick questions for the other customer, TWO MORE employees offered to help us out!! I was impressed and very happy with their attentiveness. THAT is excellent customer service. Overall it was a great experience, I bought the appliances, and I would definitely recommend talking to Jose Caloca if you're looking for a washer/dryer. The price of the tree was $70, but they had 25% off, so we had our luck! Can you believe it's already January 13th, and that tree still hasn't shed a single leaf? :-D This place is great, I love coming here. They have such a wide variety of plants and flowers, and they always have everything I need to take care of my own plants. On November 24, 2024, I purchased a cooktop, oven and microwave from the Lowe's store in Dublin, California. Delivery and installation were scheduled for December 12, 2024. One of the "services" that Lowe's charges for is having an installer come to my residence to determine what additional installation work might be required. The installer checked the intended installation area the first week of December. He advised that the natural gas connection pipe and the electrical service needed to be relocated. I told him I would take care of both those items, and after making several more measurements he left. When I had not heard from Lowe's on December 12, I called their Installer/Delivery phone number as asked when they intended to complete the installation of my three appliances. I was told by the person at their "corporate office" that they would check and call me back the next day. (Lowe's apparently does all their installation and delivery management at the corporate office, wherever that may be). I was called back the next day and told the installation was on hold and that I had to pay over $600 in additional installation charges for the installation to be scheduled. I asked why this was the first time I was hearing of this additional charge, and they had no answer. I went to the Lowe's store in Dublin on December 14 and paid $600 which is what the salesperson and I were told over the phone was the amount due to schedule the installation. On December 16 I again called Lowe's and was told there was still an outstanding installation charge that had to be paid. I was promised a return call within two days so Lowe's could determine the actual circumstance. I received the return call on December 17 and was told the balance was $0 and that I would hear from their installation contractor within two days to schedule the work. Apparently, the contractor Lowe's employs has two days to contact the customer once they hear from Lowe's. I head from the installer two days later and was given a December 24 installation date between 2 and 6 pm. Lowe's uses a contractor for installations and then sub-contractors are engaged to do the work. The sub-contractor arrived late in the afternoon on December 24 and installed the three appliances finishing after 7 pm. I tried using the oven on December 26. Brand new it turned out to be defective and would not heat properly. I called Lowe's corporate once again and explained that the oven was defective, their response was they had to have the installers come back out and check the item. So again, two days to hear from the installer and five days for them to come out and spend less that five minutes confirming the oven did not work properly. Again, Lowe's claimed two days to hear from the installer and I received another phone call advising the oven was defective and that I would hear from Lowe's within 6 business days as to when they might be able to replace the defective oven. I drove to the Lowe's store in Dublin the following day and talked to a supposed department manager about the experience I was having. He checked their computer and found that the matter was being handled at the corporate level and promised a phone call the following day to let me know the replacement status. He did call the next day telling me that they were looking for a replacement oven and that he would call me later in the day with the status. When I didn't hear from him, I again drove to the store and asked to talk to him. He got on the phone with the salesperson and while on speakerphone he told the salesperson to just let corporate deal with it. He never came to speak with me directly. I finally got an operable oven installed on January 18. This was the most exasperating and disappointing experience I have ever experienced. Calling Lowe's call center means you get whoever the answers the phone and their scripted response to every question and concern. The lack of empathy in this was beyond belief. Chances of me ever making a similar purchase from Lowe's is next to zero. The delays cost me time, headache and money as I frequently had to buy prepared food during this time as I had no way to cook, for weeks on end. read more

I came here looking for a stove. An older salesman asked me if I needed any help and that he has been working there for over 15 years. I asked him which stove has the strongest flame and the highest BTU. His answer was all stoves are the same, depending on how high I set the knob. That's when I knew I needed to walk out and buy it somewhere else. I ended up going to Home Depot and a younger lady that worked there for less than 2 years answered all of my questions and pulled up the report on the BTU ratings. DO NOT SPECIAL ORDER/INSTALL FROM THIS COMPANY! I took my 85yo mom to LOWES to order blinds, it took 25 min to get help. We got the measure, they measured for the wrong products and we had to remeasure. They said they could get a blind made one way and when they couldn't they ordered the alternative without checking, We couldn't use it. They did a reorder, they lost them. They did a re order, they were wrong. We did a reorder... Wrong sizes, wrong colors, random single blinds arrived twice, We only wanted 3 blinds to match the others in moms house. A year and three months went by and the company discontinued the product. Six months of further mess and they said they wouldn't order the new product available because it was more costly than what we'd originally ordered. Eventually they refunded the cost of the blinds but not the measure. Things to know: This company is sneaky, communicates poorly and is under staffed. Lowe's has a regional install center, you talk to different people by phone. There is no one in the store who deals with the install. I have screen shots of 24 min hold times trying to get a person to talk to in the Dublin store. I finally hung up. The ordering problems were all on their end and took a YEAR and 8 MONTHS yet they offered no compensation, and we were left with a hodgepodge of blinds that are wrong. When we spoke up about this the manager said that we didn't have to let the installer take our original blinds. The installer, their representative, said he'd get the reorder and left the miss matched ones in place. The intent was clear. Lowes is not an honorable company. You would be better served by ordering online if you can install on your own or going with Home Depot or a blind company if you need them installed. Your time and mental health have a value. When I asked if she could bring to forklift loading area she said she had to wait for clerk. "Management Thwarts $3 Purchase from Board Thief." This is a true story--I am not making this up: I came here on a cool Friday morning to purchase some small wood boards. I found exactly what I was looking for, but they only had a few loose boards. To my astonishment, they refused to sell me the individual boards! They preferred to have leftover junk on the floor, rather than help a customer. An assistant manager reluctantly agreed to sell me the individual boards--but at double the usual price! Gee, that seems fair! The total amount of the sale was $3.56. Please exercise a little common sense. It seems like the store went out of their way to make me unhappy and not get the product I needed. They tried telling me this variation in color was acceptable, that it was somehow my fault that they can't match the swatch color, and that I should be grateful that they would only charge me $15 for them to try to fix their mistakes. After way too much hassle, I finally got my money back. I went to Sherwin Williams and got the right color on the first try with no fuss. Although incompetence and terrible customer service are expected at Lowe's, this whole experience is completely unacceptable. Linda, the store manager was extremely rude to me when I came to pick up my order. I had my name on the order, and a nickname on my account which is almost the exact same as my real name. I went to the pickup area, She asked for my ID, and then she called my phone and I was curious as to why. She then told me, "so we're not releasing the order to you. have a good day." I was confused as to why she switched up so quickly so I asked, "Why? Is everything alright i'm confused?" She continued to say "Have a good day. you're not getting your order.". And so I asked again and she said, "your name is different from your account" which makes no sense because I put my real name from my ID on the order, but because the nickname on my account was different, she was extremely rude and kept telling me to leave. Aside from that, when i was asking why once more, she straight up was ignoring me and was talking to the girl on the computer and said "Cancel his order. He doesn't need it." The worst part about this interaction is this isn't the first time this has happened, it happened to my uncle. With the same rude store manager, Linda. She's on a huge power trip and honestly needs to be fired. We've been to other lowe's locations such as Union City and never had this problem, they were super kind. Definitely not this location. Given the store is a home improvement store, why do you have toy cars for sale in front of the checkout line? We were given an attitude about my 2.5 year old son playing with the cars and "causing" a potential tripping hazard/ liability when he made a line with the cars across the walkable traffic area. My wife was watching him the whole time. I understand the concern but the workers could have came about it much nicer especially towards a toddler. The lady and gentleman made my son cry. Run, do not walk. I have never seen a more FUBAR situation than this place. Ordered windows and doors over 14 months ago. It took months to get the materials, and longer to schedule time. New window frames finally installed. No stucco. We paid for these fools to redo the stucco before we could paint. I am very angry. I guess our next step is court. BUYER BEWARE: LOWE's has one of the worst store policies and the customer service is not winning any awards. My daughter bought me a set of string lights as a gift. I decided to return them and pick something else out. I brought the unopened box back to the Dublin CA store, with receipt in hand and the associate refused to give me store credit, or cash back. The gift was paid for with an ATM bank card. I asked to speak with a manager and he said "we no longer offer store credit due to fraud." So...how is this fraud? Will not shop here again...happy to go to HOME DEPOT! I was told by another Lowe's store, that if the item wasn't purchased with a credit card AND you have the receipt, they will give you store credit, or cash back. read more

I will never use Lowes again. I purchased a gate handle/lock system. I never opened it, sealed in plastic that it came in, and since I don't have the receipt Lowes wouldn't even give me a store credit. I paid cash for it. I got it 2 weeks ago bur ended up not using it when my house sold quickly. The receipt is packed with my household good that I won't have access to until December, then it will be too ate to return the item. I'll use Home Depot in the future! read more
