A cozy Korean restaurant serving your stews and hot dishes perfect for a rainy or cold day. Majority of the items are in Korean but you can use photos or google translate if needed. There were two ladies working: one to take your order or refill your banchan and one in the kitchen cooking. Although there was a language barrier, both ladies were very nice. One refilled our fish cake and kimchi when we asked. This meal was perfect for two people who wanted a light dinner! There's also extra salt and pepper at the tables if you would like more seasoning to your dishes. We will be back to try the spicy pork neck bone stew. You also have the option to order take out if dining in isn't your preference.

This place serves amazing spicy Sundaeguk. The soup is flavorful and satisfyingly spicy, and the ingredients are super fresh. There was no unpleasant smell at all, which is very important for a good Sundaeguk. Highly recommend!

Came here for the lunch special, and it's a steal for these days. $15 for a big bowl of noodle soup with sides. You can't go wrong with that these days. It's a cute restaurant on the inside, and I nerded out for the tables. There is a drawer at each table with all your utensils you need in there. Very carefully placed, and it just made my experience much better just seeing that. The food was delicious. The Yukgae Jung was packed and very hearty. It is definitely the bang for your buck in terms of quantity. The Seolleong Tang was a light broth that makes you feel very warm. My wife enjoyed it a lot. Overall, I loved it here. I would love to come back and try other dishes or even their dinner menu.

Best side dishes compare to other korean restaurant nearby!. And if you want authentic korean soup, this place is the best! 100% recommended

I wanted to give this place 5 stars but I'm not really sure if I'd really be coming back too often. The food was really good! A very home-y mom n pop type of shop! My friend ordered the special pork belly soup and I ordered the ox knee soup! The banchan was really good as well! my friend loved the fish cake and my fave was the kimchi that's was perfectly fresh and spicy! Portions for the pork belly soup was good but the ox knee soup was lacking a little bit of meat in my opinion. When we asked for a container to pack some of the banchan home they didn't let us. We thought that was such a waste of food and we only asked for a refill on some banchan once so we weren't really being greedy with the banchan :c

Really great korean comfort food, I went in during lunch to grab a bite. They have a lunch special $14.99 with a set menu includes mostly hot soups and cold noodles (Naenmyeon). I got the Yukgaejang and my friend got the Naenmyeon. Yukgaejang was slightly spicy with shredded brisket, egg and bracken fern (Gosari). It also came with glass noodles and a bowl of rice. The portions are big, I saved half for leftovers. The Barley Tea is refreshing and light perfect to the meal. The Banchan was pleasant, the kimchi is a good tell and it didn't disappoint. Not too fermented but not super fresh where the marinade didn't seep through. The radish, fish cakes, bean sprouts were average. Staff and service were really quick on taking orders and delivering the food within a couple of minutes.

the blood sausage hot pot (soondae jeongol) was SO good -- rich, hearty, and packed with flavor. The broth tasted like it had been simmering for hours. We also tried the galbitang, hand-pulled kalguksu, and bossam, and everything tasted so comforting and authentic -- it honestly reminded me of Korea. Portions are generous, prices are reasonable, and the service was warm and attentive. If you're craving real Korean comfort food in Fullerton, this spot is a must-try

I enjoyed the pork belly soup here since it was so clean in the beginning, but can be more umami as the meal goes on using salted fermented shrimp. There was a good amount of pork belly, heart, and intestine that made the dish very filling. Their Banchan was fresh as well and I really enjoyed their fish cake and tofu. Background On Visit: Was in the area after getting dash cam looked at and thought to myself that it is lunch time and was craving something soupy. Promo: Lunch special: 6 different soups for $13.99 each. From 10am-2pm (dine in and weekdays only). Wish the promo applied on the weekends, but it's only on the weekdays. The flier that was posted outside of the shop didn't mention that it was only for the weekdays. No worries... moving on. Credit Cards: They're accepted. Restrooms: Restrooms are available. Location/Parking: Located in a decent size plaza with decent amount of parking spots. If you can't find parking in front of the restaurant, you can find a lot of more, towards the back. Ambiance/Decor: Nice ambiance with modern furnishings. On the side of the table, there's a little drawer that you can slide open and get your utensils. Service: Endy, server, was very nice, friendly, and attentive. She also ave me good suggestions on the soup that I should get. Food came out at a decent time and Endy was a good sport when I asked for many refills on the banchan. Soup Of Choice: Note: Meal comes with barley tea, bowl of brown rice, and 6 unlimited banchan side dishes. I loved the kimchi, radish, and tofu skin. 1) Pork Belly Soup: Pork bone broth with heart, stomach, and rice noodle. Absolutely delicious. They definitely didn't skimp on the innards. Tang For Thought: Would love to revisit and try their lunch special one day.

I've got Gamja Tang and it's just perfect! The pork bones are tender and the portions of the soup is so good for this price. Servers are friendly and welcoming. Love the way they keep utensils and napkins in the table drawers. This is so practical and smart. I will surely come back to try other soups.

I just had dental work done today, so figured a nourishing soup would be good for dinner. Decided to try this place as take out. Online ordering was easy. There was a moment when I wasn't sure my order went through. On the status update, it only said sent but not confirmed. I showed up to the restaurant and my food was ready. The food was packaged without spills. I had expected lids but they were plastic films that frankly took me some time to peel off and I worried about microplastics as the soup and rice were hot under there. Only 2 side dishes came with my to-go order, regular kimchi and radish kimchi. I ordered the ox knee bone soup. The meat was tender. Salt came on the side so I seasoned it to my liking. The broth was not as rich as some others I've had, it was white but not quite milky. Overall a satisfying meal but nothing special.

I went there for lunch recently for the first time in years, and the prices were the same as 7-8 years ago. The free side dishes were also delicious. These days, dining out is so expensive that it's hard to choose a restaurant, but I think the owner made a very wise decision. When you live generously and share with others, you'll be blessed and make plenty of money. They've brought back the original flavors, and the service was great too. I'll always be happy to open my wallet for food like this. Try having a bowl of soondae soup with a shot of soju, like you see on Korean TV -- it's the true taste of Korea. @This lunch price is reasonable. These days, Korean food prices are way overpriced.

This place is SOOO good. My gf got the galbitang and i just got the bone broth but wowww it's amazing. Its so smooth and tastes amazing for a rainy day. The portions are HUGEEEEE. My gf loved the galbitang and the side dishes are so delicious. Check this place out when you can. I recommend parking in the back cause there's alot of space. read more

Nice hole in the wall spot for some Korean comfort food! I came in on a Sunday afternoon, and they weren't too busy, so we were seated right away. Wow, I absolutely love jokbal (braised pig's feet), bossam (boiled pork belly), and sundae (Korean blood sausage), and Fullerton Tang truly stands out. The chewy texture of the chal-sundae (sticky rice sundae) is simply the best I've ever had. The bossam melts in your mouth without any gamy smell--perfectly clean and tender. I had an amazing experience at this restraint. I sat in the back in their conference room. There were like 3 tables in the back. I tried the ox soup broth with pork blood cube. It was spicy and good. It came in a giant heated bowl. It tasted so good with steamed rice. My brother got the silver noodle with beef ribs. The ribs just came apart. He said the broth was amazing. He drank all the soup. The chicken and ginseng came steamy hot and flavorful. My mom loved the chicken soup a lot. I also got a large steamed sliced poke plate. It came with marinated or fermented Napa cabbage. The pork was not chewy or died. It was moist and tender. I simply love this spot. read more

Here's another tremendous Korean gukbap place in Fullerton! I've been on a frenzy for Daeji gukbap recently, so I have tried more than a dozen gukbap restaurants in a short period. So far, only a few places have been worth mentioning, but Tang is definitely a place that is worth the review! The place is clean, friendly, and comfortable. Let's be honest; you don't really look for a five-star fine dining experience when you go to gukbap place. You just want to have a good, warm gukbap that will fill you nicely in a cold winter. This place has that dining-at-home vibe, which I liked. The food is good! I decided to try their daeji gukbap. It was good just by itself, but even better with their tasty kimchi! It was on a promotion, all day special $14.99 (regular price $17.49). When you can get a good, tasty, filling gukbap under 15, man, I'm sold already! If you are looking for a good Korean gukbap experience, I'd recommend this place. If daeji gukbap is not your thing, they have planty other options as well! read more

Today just discovered the korean soup specialty restaurant in the Barns & Noble mall. This place was the Japanese restaurant spot years ago. What a big surprise! We got Soondae(korean sausage) soup, cold noodles for hot summer like today. Price: reasonable 4/5 Quality: 4/5 Ambiance: traditional Korean concept, no booth Service: 4/5, friendly, fast Parking: huge parking lots They have a variety of soup menus. I can tell real soup specialty restaurant like their name, TANG. I like mostly fresh made Kimchi for ox bone soup and aged radish kimchi, dice shape, way too sweet....too much aged? Dissapointed! Ordered food at 6:57pm and food came out at 7:36 Looks like a skeleton crew with only one server and maybe one person in the back. Food was pretty good but not worth such a long wait. Especially if you're not doing ayce. We only got an order of fries and 24 wings. It shouldn't take over 30 minutes to receive at least our appetizer first. Honestly think the business needs to hire more to support in the kitchen because this wait was a while. Only thing that made it better is they gave us a free set of extra fries and a drink on the house.

Each one was very tasty and the spicy one hits you after a bit. So good! The K-pop street tacos were also very good and served with a spicy sauce. So glad they're still around. It's been a while since we came and we're happy and satisfied. Plenty of seating and the service is good. Attended to in good time and didn't have to wait long to get our food. Love the Japanese Cherry blossom decor mixed with K-Pop flare.

The place only serves a limited staple of Korean food but what they serve they do them so well that it's worth going just for that small menu. Over the years they expanded their menu but their staple imo is the galbi tang or beef bone soup. It comes with 2 pieces of large beef bones. The soup is delicious and is paired perfect with the mustard sauce. There are other delicious offering such as the thistle rice bowl. I'd say because of the limited menu everything is great. The parking lot can be packed especially in the weekend as all the church goes come by. Most of the clienteles are usually middle aged or older so you know they know what authentic Korean food is. The service is extremely efficient and very friendly. The place is clean just like most Korean restaurants. Nothing to complain about. Order the galbi tang and you'll be coming back.

The noodles are cooked perfectly and is topped with a generous amount of beef. My #1 recommendation from MDK. - Pork dumplings $17.99 : My favorite dumplings in all of OC. They are so incredibly juicy and flavorful and the thin wrapper helps bring out the flavors even more. The spicy kimchi here is also so yummy, the perfect balance of spicy and garlicky. I highly recommend you try it, even if you're not the biggest fan of kimchi. Overall, MDK has been here for years, and will always have a special place in my heart for the yummiest, heartiest foods.

The tofu was silky, the portion was generous, and it's the kind of dish that makes you slow down for a second because it's so satisfying. The galbi was the standout for me. Super tender, well marinated, and grilled with that slight char that gives it the smoky sweetness. It didn't need anything extra, but wrapping it with the banchan and rice made it even better. Speaking of banchan, they were fresh and kept coming without us having to ask. Service was quick and the food came out fast even though the place was busy. Visited Tang today with my son and had such a comforting meal. I ordered the spicy Sundaeguk, my son had the Ddukbaegi Bulgogi, and we also shared a plate of dumplings. Everything was delicious and satisfying. For me, Sundaeguk is one of those true soul foods that gives comfort and energy, especially on a long day. The broth here was rich, deep, and hearty with a really nice savory flavor, and the spicy version had just the right kick without overpowering the soup itself. Initially, I requested a refund politely over the phone, but they were uncooperative, and they refrained from apologizing until I pressed them to do so. Ultimately, I found myself visiting the restaurant in person with the food in hand to secure a refund. However, their response was unexpected, as they shifted blame onto me for potentially losing another customer due to my complaint. They returned the money without offering an apology. Their attitude of withholding an apology until prompted was truly dissatisfying and left me with a feeling of discomfort. I strongly advise against considering this restaurant as an option. My experience at this restaurant was infuriating. The staff were rude, dismissive, and uninterested in providing any customer service. They repeatedly pressured us to order more while we were still eating, gave us dirty looks, and made loud, rude comments. The food was also terrible, and I've had severe diarrhea since eating there. This was the worst dining experience I've ever had. Avoid this place at all costs. The management needs to rethink their approach and retrain their staff. read more
