Not the regular sliced pieces. Does not taste good. Bitter taste every time. 2. Empty boxes in the dining area: I understand that they might be running out of space to store these boxes to be used for take out orders but: Nobody wants to see that while eating at a restaurant. It's a cozy spot that feels like a second home, especially when you're in the mood for something hearty and authentic. Their Soondae Guk is nothing short of amazing. For fellow locals or anyone in the area, do yourself a favor and try the Soondae Guk at this spot! My favorite dishes are: - Soondaeguk (a traditional Korean soup featuring slices of savory blood sausage in a rich and flavorful broth) - Gamjatang (a spicy and hearty Korean soup made with pork spine, potatoes, and vegetables, known for its rich flavor and tender meat) - Yookgaejang (a spicy Korean soup made with shredded beef, vegetables, and a rich, fiery broth) My only wish is the restaurant works on its atmosphere because the to-go boxes near the dining tables are a bit distracting, and a nicer setting would really improve the whole experience. A place specializing in Korean pork soups and blood sausage (Soondae), definitely come here for these two things and don't expect kalbi or seafood pancake on the menu. We came here as a last meal before our trip back to the Bay Area and were looking for an interesting place with outdoor seating. There were at least 9 tables of 4 in the outside area. It is under a canopy so you'll be protected from the sun and staff wore masks as well as checked temperature before taking orders. They also brought out sanitizer, overall it felt very clean and sanitary though warning for Summer the food smells great and it will attract flies. Tang is located in the HUGE mega plaza with a ton of supermarkets and restaurants. If you follow google maps it will tell you to make a right into the plaza near Islands. If you see the Islands, starbucks, and jamba juice you will be near the back of Tang. We parked here and walked towards Rubio and the front of the restaurant. Loved the Pork Belly Soup and Hot Pot Bulgogi, the broth for both were very clean and delicious. Loved being able to add your preference additions to the soup with the green onions, gochujang, fermented shrimp, etc...The soondae tasted like it was very well cleaned and had that organic, internal organ taste we were seeking today. I instantly regretted walking in here without checking reviews and should have walked out while I had the chance. Place was empty around dinner time and now I see why. Soups were both verrrry salty. Hardly any banchan at all. The meat in my cold noodle did not look great but thankfully they only gave a few measly slices. My parents were cordial, smiley and polite the entire time but the ladies were cold and straight up rude. We should have stuck to our original plan to dine at dPlace or our plan B, Rubio's, but it was a hot day and while walking to Rubio's, I saw cold noodles in the window menu. We live nearby and frequently dine out locally for Korean food but won't be returning. I usually just avoid leaving bad reviews if it's just the food but that kind of treatment, especially towards my parents, is hard to swallow. I am so sad to see all of these negative reviews! I was walking by after leaving the gym and on our way to Jamba Juice when one of my friends mentioned this restaurant, so after getting our Jamba Juice, we went into order. Service was super friendly and quick. I ended up taking the food to go and the portions are so big that I couldn't finish it all even though I was ravenous during my workout. The broth was absolutely divine and for 15 bucks, I can't complain at all. I ordered the pork belly soup per her recommendation, and it definitely did not disappoint. I will be back again. read more

First time trying and I tried the spicy soondae guk off my coworkers recommendation. Soondae is a blood sausage made with noodles. I know it sounds gross to most ppl but it's really mild tasting and comes with a salted shrimp side and a salt and spice mix to dip lightly in for seasoning. I have had better soondae elsewhere but I'm not complaining about it here! The soup is a thin broth type with more intestinal meat inside. I'm not the biggest fan of intestine due to a textural thing, but it was a good soup. I ended up finishing most of it. Included was a side of marinated chives, kimchi and steamed rice. They have a nice sealer that packages everything and you need the included plastic tool to cut through it. Price was about $16? Which I think is fair for the amount you get. Great food, very umami. I love the simple side dishes of radish kimchi, regular kimchi, and im not sure what the green veggie was but it felt like a good palate cleanse. The people are so friendly and welcoming, and the vibe is calm and nice. The place is clean and even though all in Korean they treated me nice and did not show any frustration with my lack of understanding of korean or not being able to read the menu fully. Don't let the review deter you from coming here! I had a really enjoyable experience at Tang. They have two locations, one in Buena Park and the other in Fullerton. The ladies were so sweet and attentive; they suggested one of their popular items--the spicy pork rice soup. The broth isn't too spicy for me, and it's packed with a lot of ingredients. I can see why some reviews mentioned a lack of flavor; their soups are on the lighter side, which I didn't mind because that's how I like it. Their Yukdaejeong (spicy mixed veggie/beef) soup and the ginseng chicken soup were also delicious. The portions are quite generous, and they definitely fill you up. We also ordered the steamed dumplings, which were stuffed with a generous amount of mixed veggies, glass noodles, pork, etc. I love that they came in a steam basket to keep them fresh. Also, if you like meats with veggies, definitely try their pig feet for the extra boost of collagen. If none of that satisfies you, try their KIMCHI. Came here on a cold weekday night and luckily they have outdoor dining. I do not speak Korean, so I will say I found it slightly hard to communicate but the waitresses were very patient and helpful as can be. I ordered the pork belly combo soup and the bulgogi coup. The soup came with blood sausage (soondae) while they gave us some sides to begin with as well as rice. The soup based for both were delicious and hit the right spots in the winter season.
