I've had a few pedicures done here and I absolutely love this place! The staff is super friendly and the salon is clean. I spend 50+ hours a week on my feet and this is now my favorite place to go to have them rejuvenated. It's so relaxing! Prior to this appointment I would say Tammy's Nails did NOT have the best service! They don't have enough workers, but will try to take as many people as they can! People waiting for long periods of time with their feet in the water waiting for someone to come and finally do their pedicure. I recently went and noticed they hired a new nail tech and she was AMAZING! From the beginning I told her exactly what I wanted and she definitely delivered. She was fast and knew exactly what she was doing. She wasn't pushy at all and even offered to do a design on my nails! She was super sweet and made sure I liked my set. I had been to Tammystwice prior to the last time I will ever go, which is the experience I am but to write abut. I went to get a manicure/pedicure for $65, off a coupon so, Of course, I took it. Gave them the coupon up front and went about the process. They set up a foot tub and the pedicure went alright, I suppose. And she painted the color I had chosen and when I went to the nail section, they switched me to a guy. I've had males do my manicures before and im sure some are great but this guy was not one of them. First he INSISTED on doing my nails in a dip and I gave in because I didn't want to keep repeating myself but I asked 100x if it is the same color. And he ASSURED me it was. He proceeded to file my nails super short (I have bit my nails forever so I was proud of how long they had gotten, some of y'all will understand that) and then pulls out the acrylics. I stopped him and said no, I want MY nails in THAT color. So he started painting. Long story short it was noteven remotely close to the same color. And they charged me $80 total. When I called and spoke to Tammy, she said they could fix it by painting the gel color I have on my toes ON TOP of the dipped color. So I went in and it did exactly as I expected. Chipped off all the Gel polish within 24 hours. I will not be back. read more

! wrong length! i asked for pearl tips which i had gotten for years! not too much acrylic and coffin style! they ignored all of that. didn't push my cuticles back nor clip! uses the drill. used white tips. stated they had no pearl tips. arguing with me again stating they had never heard of pearl tips! made them thick as f*(# and squared. my cuticles looked terrible little pieces sticking up everywhere! not pushed into their correct position and the acrylic was uneven and bumpy! no cuticle oil! no hand massage! no apology! i was so mad!!! especially because the last time i came in i had my tax money and he only fixed a small 2 broken nails and because he was so nice and i had a few drinks. i gave him a $25 tip!!! thinking they would be this good and kind again to me and knowing that i overpaid and overtipped last time that they would serve me properly and correctly! i asked for them to give me my money back or to do it correctly. of course now this time people are recording me and making me feel criticized and knew i didn't deserve this kind of treatment by these people who i paid very well last time i'm hopes they would be like my old nail salon. who were consistent, efficient, happy, kind! and would first off never do a bad nail. took pride in their work and knew who paid and tipped them well the last time. which usually is the universal, i like your work and i will only except this level of perfection, kindness, friendliness and nothing less. not only did this lady who did my pedicure do horrible, made no attempt at conversation, ignored me, did not pumice my feet for more then 10 seconds. did minimal work but also when i tried to tell her. after a ten minute pathetic excuse for a pedicure which was a scheduled appointment!!!! for a mani-full set and pedicure. i was rushed and treated like a walk in who hadn't already over tipped and came initially for a nail fix in hopes of finding a better nail salon who wouldn't jip me and would do their job correctly a conversation i had with tammy's husband the first visit whom i tipped $40! aside from the fix? he promised me..." you come to us from now on! we treat you right!" i believed him and way over tipped him. because like a fool i believed him! because he fixed the other salons mess up! but this time. i had a scheduled appointment for a pedicure. a 45 minute treatment. that was $30 for a soaking, pumice, nail polish removal, pushing cuticles, removing cuticles and pumicing my feet, massaging and painting my toes. in which she did none of that and when i complained and asked for the manager of course the same guys who i tipped $40 the other day. pretended he spoke little english. didn't understand what i was asking for. they tried to fix it but did nothing! then they still made me pay for the service! at this point 2 women have their cameras on. i was mad and embarrassed and asked them to turn off their cameras. i had to pay an left with the worst pedicure i have ever had!!!! my cuticles were still in need of a pushing a clipping and my feet were crusty on the bottom! they refused to fix the problem!!!! did nothing to apologize or comp the horrible service. embarrassed me by treating me like.crap. embarrassing me. taking advantage of a disabled woman and of course probably called in their regulars to record me and laugh at me. when they truly gave the worst most pathetic excuse for a pedicure. caused me a mental breakdown and made me pay. totally robbed me! read more

I've been to Tammy's Nail about 5 times, STILL hoping that they get it right every time and they FAIL EVERY SINGLE TIME. I've gotten cut by their artists about 2 times, one time from a pedi and another from a manicure, which I bled from A LOT! They did NOTHING to resolve it, other than covering it up. The last time I got my nails done they did a HORRIBLE job painting them and they looked streaky, and lumpy. I don't get my nails done there anymore but I went in for THE LAST TIME to get my nails off. THEY STILL MANAGED TO MAKE IT A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! They had me soak my nails for 1.5 hours in acetone, which last time was not nearly as long. On top of that they were helping other customers, and left acrylic on my nails, along with breaking one of them. Never going back & I hope you never go in! I have been coming to Tammy's Nail Salon for 15 years. Tammy's nails is a wonderful nail salon. Each nail tech takes their time with you, they are very friendly and have good customer service. They always ask questions if you like your nails and how you are doing. They always try to make you more comfortable. If you dont like something they will always try to fix the problem. Tammy is very good at keeping appointments and will try to accommodate if there is a long walk in time. Tammy's nails is very clean and organized and there is a wide selection of colors and dips. Only reason I gave 1 stare is because there was not an option for 0 stars. I have been to this salon at least 4 times now and only the first 2 times I was satisfied. Today was the absolute worst! I went in today for a fresh full set with a pink/nude acrylic ombré. The man who started my ombré did not know what he was doing and left pink acrylic all over my finger tips and underside of my fingers and the result was a huge disaster. When I told him this is not how I have ever had an ombré done before he was then approached by two employees and they told him how he should have done it and he did it all wrong. So then he told me he only works with blue or green color acrylic and I should have picked either of those colors.... hmmmm nope, I want pink! So he said he would start over and I told him I would just do a gel color if that is easier. He proceeded to take off all 10 freshly applied nails to "start over". I said I want to see someone else with a little more experience. I then was asked to move to the owner Tammy's station. Things started pretty well with applying the tips and when I told her the shape I wanted was long stiletto she cut the shape, applied the acrylic then proceeded to shape my nails into round almond shape.... I said "I want stiletto". Tammy continued to round out into an almond shape and said I think almond will look better!!!! I had to beg her to shape my nails how I want them which was stiletto! While filing my long nails I ended up with short ugly stiletto nails. Once I asked for 3 gel colors Tammy tells me she charges $5 to do 3 colors!!!!! After sitting there for 3.5 hours, two sets of nails (because her employee messed up) she wants to seriously charge me to do three colors and make me feel like she was doing me a favor by discounting $5 only after I said something! Not to mention I have gotten 3 colors before and never charged $5! After everything was done I noticed my whole left hand nails are significantly shorter then the right side! Okay, so the name is much better than my previous nail salon entry (Golden Nail). But the better name doesn't mean the service is THAT much better. I got in at 530 for my mani/pedi. When I walked in the door, three people started yelling at me. Well, maybe not yelling, but... actually, yeah, it was yelling. And for the life of me could NOT understand what they were asking/saying. They finally sat me in one of their new massaging foot-pool chairs with "Tammy's Salon" embroidered on the head cushion. Lovely. Although the chairs are new, I don't understand why they would go with a forest green color rather than a black or gray. No sense of style. The decor for the rest of the branch is the typical, tacky, Asian nail salon decor with photos of hands, feet, Asian landscape, etc. The woman that helped me spoke little English and I was surprised when she asked for my name and introduced herself. I was really pleased until she busted out on those battery-operated nail sanders. I almost passed out; I despise those! Forward through the mani and pedi and into the tanning salon where the UV rays make my nails glow! Yep, poor paint job. You could tell where the top coat was.. and wasn't. My toes had polish on the skin. Honestly, I could have done a better job. Anyway, the three stars because they always have coupons ($27 for both) and they actually try to have an English conversation with you. Oh, and the third star because I saw them disinfecting the pedicure station after using it. While traveling to my childhood home in MN from FL I wanted to treat my 10 year old great Niece to her first ever Manny/Peddie. I loved the pedicures that I, my Niece and great Niece received. it was when my pedicure person turned me over to the (I believe was) owner of the establishment that it turned sour. I had asked at the beginning of my pedicure for my gel nails to be wrapped for easy removal. (cotton with acetone covering for the whole procedure). I specifically said no drum wheel electronic sanding as my nails are my own and can get thin. They said NoNo they do not do that. When the owner started my Manicure she went right to the drum wheel electronic sanding. I pulled my hands back and said no. She argued with me and said she would only take the top coat off. That was the first of 3 times she sanded them down with the electronic drum wheel. Each time I protested. I should have walked out but didn't want to scare my Nieces. I think she did this meanly. I could see the sneer on her eyes. But the biggest trauma came when time to pay. She gave me the price 225. for all of us and it was reasonable. I gave her my credit card (CC) and then proceeded to pull cash for tips out of my wallet. I was not watching her but all of a sudden she snatched all of the cash 200. I had and said cash first. I protested that that was all the cash I had while traveling and to give it back but she refused. I argued with her for over 5 to 10 min to give it back while my Nieces became wild eyed and scared. I knew I just needed to give up and just suck up any ATM fees for more cash as my bank in FL doesn't have any compatible in MN. I hope that the 3 other Manny/Peddie persons got their tips from what she charged on my CC after the cash. Lesson learned. At least she didn't over charge my CC. read more

I think they have a lot to work on when it comes to being fair and race. I've noticed they have favorites in terms of race where they act quickly with Caucasian's but make people of color wait. I waited one hour and I am a BLACK MUSLIM just for my pedicure whereas a White lady came in and they rushed to seat her before me. Very unfair they need to change their selective racism or this business will go down. I also noticed during covid they don't follow the distancing rule when it comes to people of color I had 2 people who look alike me be told to wear masks but realized a white lady wasn't 30 min in. I continuously ask if there were any cheaper options (which I later found out there was) and the lady kept telling me dip powder was the only option. The technician took an unused acrylic nail, stuck it under my nail I had on, and tore it off. Not only did it hurt, it also ruined my nail underneath. Absolutely not okay. I work near this nail salon and took a chance to see if they waxed eyebrows, which I badly needed done. I walked in and was hit with a thick smoky smell like a cloud, all around the shop. I put my hand to my nose right away and asked' What is that smell?' I thought something was wrong, or burning or not sure what? One of the nail techs said 'oh, that is the acrylic'. I've been around nail joints long enough to know (40 years) that wasn't the case. Tammy came out and gave me a mask to wear and said it was incense. I would have left, but thought the mask would help. It didn't. She proceeded to sit me down in a nail chair next to the front door and lean my head back with no neck support. I wondered about how clean everything was, and felt awkward sitting up front in a nail chair with my head jerked back. She was chatting with a co-worker who stood right next to me during the process. Not cool. She did my lip too, so had to take the mask off. By the time I left, the smell in my nostrils, my hair and the sweater coat I was wearing was overwhelming. I had to go back to work and smell myself the rest of the day. Yuck. Took a shower the minute I got home. My dog kept sniffing at my jacket, I put it in the garage to air out. She did an OK job, for a nail shop, right brow is crooked but I can fill it in. It was ok in a pinch- but lose the heavy incense! read more

I would never recommend Tammy's Nails to anyone....they are lucky I'm not pressing charges....I got eyelash extensions done and explained exactly what I wanted....Tammy, the owner, is the one who did this service ....and the glue she used was like super glue and hard like cement they hurt and irritated my eyes and skin around the eyes.....I couldn't even get them off with remover!!!.....they pulled out all of my natural eyelashes, hurt sooo bad.....I've been getting eyelash extensions for over a year.....the glue is supposed to be pliable and soft and move when you blink....this was my first time to Tammy's Nail Salon and last.....wow read more

I've been going to Tammy's for over 12 years. I went in and asked to have a nail fixed from a pedicure that I had done 6 days ago. It came off, the girl painted 1/3 of my nail and it was a different color. She told me to find the color and she'd fix it or I had to pay to repaint 1 toe. I wasn't going to pay to have a 6 day old pedicure fixed. I just wanted my toe fixed. She got mad and wouldn't do it. I told the owner sister and she didn't have an answer. Some other lady fixed it and it's a totally different color. Poor service and bad attitude. I didn't expect a free pedicure, merely one toe to be painted, not 1/3 a totally different color. WE HAVE BEEN ROBBED! I went for a pedicure with a friend of mine. We agreed to a deluxe gel pedicure for $35 as shown to us on a laminated sheet by the chairs. Of course they continued to ask if we wanted manicures and then offered to do it for $12 more. They asked us to pick a color from the gel samples. A different person rang us up at the end and charged $70 for each of us. We were expecting the cost to be $47. Neither of us felt comfortable saying anything right away. The ladies were busy trying to close up, and we thought maybe we had made a mistake. On our way home we talked about what happened and realized we didn't make a mistake. I called the nail salon today to discuss the issue. The lady I talked to said her staff gave us the wrong price and she will correct them and make sure they are giving the correct price. She didn't apologize or offer any resolution to the issue. She said they charge $25 for a gel manicure and $35 for a gel pedicure. Well that still doesn't add up to $70! Wish I would have spoken up when I was at the register. Wish I would have read these reviews. Looks like we were not the only ones ripped off! I would NOT return! I called ahead to make my appointment for a removal of acrylic nails and a liquid gel full set which I was assured they could do. I sat a full hour in acetone, when I decided I was going to leave. I was told "no, no, no" and ushered into a chair although I protested I did not have another hour to spend, I was assured it would be a half an hour. It took one hour to get THE worst set of gel nails I've ever had. This was Sunday, 9/18/16. I am still pulling gel off my palms and fingers 9/22/16. The gel covers my cuticles on all three sides. Dirt has crept between my white tips and the gel. It cost an additional $5 to remove my acrylic, $45 for the liquid gel nails (because there is NO such thing as powder gel nails - powder = acrylic) and then she charged additionally for white tips! I had to request that she completely remove the old navy blue polish before applying the clear gel to my nail beds - I was getting a French! The place is clean looking although I forgot to pay attention to whether fresh/clean tools were gotten, I doubt it. It went too fast. A few people walked out in the time I was there because this salon has POOR time management. There were only 3 people working yet they continued to tell people to pick their polish or sit at a pedicure tub and were left to sit for 30 minutes or more. The only positive part I can mention was the eyebrow wax. She did a good job although I wasn't sanitized prior to the waxing. read more
