I walked in and told person at desk I wanted a quick pedicure with fast dry, she said get gel, I asked total price for basic pedicure and she said 45. I was handed a money and pointed to basic plus gel and said that out loud. Just basic plus gel. The woman went on to do something with wax on my feet. I said this is different. Then at counter she said $65. She said I asked for something else that is 65. Instead of meeting in the middle she refused. So I paid and left without a tip. Although I understand that circumstances are out of the ordinary and expectations are different, this place was the worst experience. I think they're trying to fit in the sanitation on top of overlapping appointments which leads to poor customer service. Also, there aren't prices listed anywhere - not even on their website. I was charged $55 for a basic manicure and pedicure - too much for poor quality work and regular polish. There wasn't a spot for a tip, so I'm pretty sure the guy tipped himself and totaled it out. So I have no idea what the cost truly was nor how much he tipped himself. I won't come here again and I just wouldn't recommend it. There are other nail salons that are equally as compliant with sanitation due to COVID19 with much better service and quality work for less of a price. read more

I am Vietnamese, and this is the first time that no one has asked me if I am Vietnamese at a Vietnamese nail salon - which is fine because it was really entertaining listening to all the women talk shit about their customers. It was also fun hearing what they said about me, lol. This in no way affects my rating though because this is literally all Vietnamese people. It's in our culture, it's what we do *shrugs*. I had a pretty okay experience. My friend and I came in around 1pm without an appointment. We were immediately greeted/acknowledged and told that there would be a wait. The salon is a little small, but very well-maintained, so there were only 4 chairs to sit and wait in. Wait time was 10-15 mins. There are tons of colors to choose from! I really liked their selection of nudes/muted colors. I chose a light pale pink (#409). I didn't really get a chance to talk to my nail lady because I was catching up with my friend, but I appreciated the non forceful small talk. She was quick and efficient - a little too quick though.. I ended up getting a small "indent/line" and a small dust particle stuck on some nails... Nothing super noticeable, but it's annoying to KNOW that I have imperfect nails lol. I also wish she would have painted closer to my cuticles on my right hand. BUT, I do really like the shape that she gave me and she didn't make a mess at all. My friend's nail lady was super nice and did a great job, so I think it just depends on who you get. Overall, I had an okay experience - you can't beat the price! I just feel like they could have cleaned up my nails a little more and paid more attention to details like covering my whole nail? We'll see how my nails hold up after a week or two. read more

Tried this place out today for the first time and I was so impressed! I didn't make an appointment, just happened to have some time so I walked in and got helped immediately. I got the deluxe pedi and a dip set on my fingers. I told Michell how nervous I was because I've had an allergic reaction to crappy shellac before so my fingers were sensitive. She took extra time and made sure to be careful on my fingers, and really got the shape just right. Some places I've been before do the dip too thick - but she did it JUST RIGHT! My daughter and I were having a girls day at the MOA but we decided to stop by this nail shop first instead of the mall shop. The staff was really nice to both of us. The ambiance was nice too. The "nail" smell wasn't over powering which is awesome because I usually leave with a headache. My favorite part is that my tech didn't try to up-sell me nor did she talk to me about how I needed my eyebrows done. As a matter of fact, she really didn't say anything to me. EXCELLENT service! I booked 4 mani/pedis tonight for my bridal party and even though they were running behind schedule, they squeezed us in after close of business. They stayed TWO hours late to complete our mani/pedis and provided great service. The owner, David, kept us entertained the whole time. My first impression of the place was peace and harmony. I was greeted by a gentleman who took my appt over the phone. I arrived right at 10:30am to get a full set manicure and basic pedicure. Picking out my polish was easy as I knew what I was looking for. I was surprised when I had one woman working on my toes and another tending to my fingers at the same time. I wondered if that was normal, however things changed abruptly as soon as traffic picked up. The lady doing my toes, Hanna, suddenly finished my nails. I was then instructed to go to the nail station of Tina's to finish my nails. I missed to mention,Tina attempted to upsell me the moment she started working on me. I said, "no," to gel nail polish as I really only need this done for the weekend. She continued to ask me if I wanted the acrylic powder or the gel powder, "for $3 the gel powder is more clear." I said, "no thanks." So again, back at her nail desk she asked again to get gel polish on my nails. I told her I will only have this for the weekend and she didn't know how to respond. To help her out I told her I understand "that it will last longer." As she filed and polished my nails I didn't see she was putting much heart to it. I kindly asked her to polish my nails on my right hand as the polish was so thin and it looked like a bird's beak . I almost felt cheated. She re-polished them upon my request. She then put the last coat on my nails which was a clear coat from a black bottle. Now that it's hours after my appt, I notice my finger nails were not filed round enough around the edges, nor were my cut evenly on both sides, and my polish is uneven. As for my toe nails, the polish looks great from afar, but close up she too didn't file well enough. I'm hopeful for this nail shop as they have some opportunity to work on and maybe, just maybe, someone they know will read this and can relay them my review. I never seem to find time to take care of my nails before traveling, so I once again found myself in the Twin Cities in need of a manicure. My previous experience in the area (at the XpresSpa inside the airport) taught me that I was not willing to risk having the same high-cost-for-low-quality experience at MOA, despite the fact I was staying literally across the street from the mall. Instead I found V Nails on Yelp, hopped in my rental car, and was there in about 10 minutes. I am so happy I did. I received a fantastic basic manicure for an amazing price. My needs were super straightforward: natural nails, one color of polish. Just even 'em out, clean up my janky cuticles, pretty polish, and I'm out the door. The woman sitting next to me had much fancier nails and was having some sort of nail art done. She had a picture of what she wanted (but in a different color) and the owner took the time to look at the picture and make sure he understood what she wanted. I was impressed with that, as with the fact that he used my name when saying goodbye as I headed out. V Nails isn't a posh spa experience, but they are competent, friendly, and affordable, so I definitely recommend. read more

I'm not sure why these people have a good rating, their bedside manner sucks. I called ahead to get prices and the prices went up after I got the work done that I went in for. They did such a crappy job, polish on the skin by the nails, uneven nails, should have done better with the coating. Just awful. it doesn't seem as though things are not sanitized, the same things that were used on my nails were then used on someone else. Then they are nasty if you don't give them a big tip. I'm on a fixed income and can't afford horrendous tips like most people. After the crappy work I'm glad I didn't tip them more. I won't be going back there and won't recommend them either. read more

The place seemed nice, I came with my husband to get pedicures because he needed his callous on his foot removed. We picked the $40 package each and this includes a massage, intensive callous work, nail polish + more. So I picked both of us polish. Their communication with us was barely anything. They assumed and did not complete their jobs. My husband didn't get his nails painted even tho he chose a color. He did not get any work on his callous. We did not get massages. He was falling asleep and I noticed the lady working on my feet was pointing and laughing at him for a minute or two. Okay, i get that these people are known to do that but it made me uncomfortable. V Nails is my favorite place to get a pedicure. After several less than satisfactory experiences at other places, I'm glad I finally found this nail salon. (Thanks, fellow Yelpers!) I've made appointments and I've done walk-ins, and have never had to wait very long. The first thing I noticed upon my first visit is that the salon doesn't reek of chemicals! I don't know how they do it, but I appreciate being spared the olfactory assault and ensuing headache. The second (and probably most important thing) I appreciate about V Nails is their sanitary procedures. For each client, they take the tools out of sealed autoclave bags. Third, their customer service is wonderful. The techs are friendly and make good conversation if you're feeling chatty, or they let be if you're not interested in small talk. It has happened to me at multiple other nail salons that the techs badger the clients to only pay with cash. Sorry--I generally don't carry much cash. If I know in advance I want to get my toes done I'll try to hit the ATM, but sometimes it's not convenient. I've never been shamed for paying with a card at V Nails, and I thank them for that (in the form of a generous tip, of course)! It's a little thing that makes a big difference. If I could change one thing, I wish the foot and calf massage with the spa pedicure were a bit more thorough (it's not bad, but it's nothing to write home about), but I know that if I want a relaxation or therapeutic massage, I should see a massage therapist instead. :) They do a great job here, the prices are reasonable, and it's a pleasant experience. read more

You know I rarely cross over to that "other town" in the twin cities but I was meeting someone in Richfield, so to be most efficient, I decided to get my nails done in Richfield and my fellow yelpers led me straight here! This is truly the nicest, cleanest, most comfortable nail salon I have ever been in. Everything is a step above the average nail salon and many steps above the mediocre ones. The décor was homey, the music soothing, and I truly felt I was in a spa. Mary did my nails and she was a perfectionist, as well as the sweetest woman to talk with. A new set was only $21 and she said I could add on a pedicure for $21. $21 for a pedicure in what looked like would be the most comfortable chairs ever!! Count me in!! Time got away from me, however, so I was unable to get the pedicure but when I come for my fill, I most definitely will try one. I met the owner and he was such a nice guy and told me his concept of trying to make people feel at home in his salon and he most certainly has succeeded in doing just that! There are adult size waters, no blaring television, a flowing layout, and a separate room to relax as your nails dry! You know how salons have about eight colors for gels and you get stuck with some standard nails. I know. Annoying at best. This isn't that place! There are more than 100 options, including designs. Not impressed? They don't use the standard old pedicure system so there are no pipes left to fester in someone else's foot juice aka fungus. The spa mechanism is removed after each customer so you know your foot bath is your own. As for service, so far so good. I am in love with this salon. Easily the best I have been to. I went in for an acrylic fill and gel polish. From the moment I walked in, I felt important to them. The technician I had was very responsive to what I wanted for my nails and was very meticulous with everything.
