Rosie is AWESOME. I love her I always go to her. She is always friendly and happy and does great work. Everyone there is nice and they do a nice job with walk ins and same day appointments. Get this I had a appoint on Thursday that was cancelled last minute and my spidy senses were telling me I was getting proposed to the next day on my bday and I was freaking out because your nails are very important! So I yelped what was open and good near me and called and they were open! At this point I wanted something done and didn't want to be so picky. I arrived and the place was being remolded but I was just like as long as someone can do my nails I am good. I showed a picture and was like well I'll give it a shot and you guys they turned out exactly like the picture ! I went with round shape, ombré, and chrome. I loved loved my nails favorite set I've done in my life. Service was amazing and I had 2 wonderful people work on my nails I also got the privilege to have the famous Kelly she is amazing!! They took me as a walk-in and did a good job. A gel pedicure was $50 total. I felt like my nail technician rushed me in choosing a color, but she was very sweet and did a good job. She cut my nails exactly as I asked. If you go here, be aware that the parking sucks. There's no designated parking lot, only street parking that is pretty full. read more

I work with infants and my natural nails are very thin and sharp. Excessive hand washing also makes my nails and hands really dry and brittle. Mary always does an amazing job- if you need round tip nails GO TO HER. She always gets the shape perfect and takes her time to even them out. She gets this all done in less than forty minutes. These nails can last you over a month if needed- I grind hard with these nails and they survive immaculately. Every lady here also does a great pedicure- such a good job I only need a pedicure once every three months and my feet look like a babies. read more

I went to this salon 3 weeks ago. My artist wasn't able to do a very simple design and had to change it up. At the time i was fine with it. I noticed after i left that there was a hair stuck in the acrylic. Again, I was really annoyed but I moved on. After a week with my nails, one of them broke because i threw a ball. Then another one broke off because i closed my trunk. I just lost the third one today while picking up a box. I have had nails before and know how to do all of these activities with longer nails. They were not done well and are so weak. I will never go here again and I do not recommend you do either. read more

I was really excited to find a highly rated nail salon within walking distance of my home. Unfortunately it was a pretty awful experience. She pulled the tools out of some tackle box she was carrying with her between clients so I'm not convinced the tools are properly cleaned as I did not see a cleaning station nor barbicide anywhere. This especially became a big concern when the technician cut my cuticle enough that I was bleeding and she didn't try to disinfect or anything. I asked her to put alcohol or something on the cut and she just looked at me confused until one of her colleagues had to step in and explain to her. And sure enough at the end of my appointment she just put the tools she used on me back in her box. I reminded her she had to clean them before the next client but she once again looked at me confused and as I checked out she went straight to the next client with her same box of tools. I told the client to make sure the tech got new tools since I bled on those but it's wild to me I even had to do that. Will not be returning. read more

Just relocated to this wonderful state and needed a nail technician fast! Read the reviews, saw the pictures and I was there right at opening! Everybody was cool, it was highly effienct and I was in and out less than an hour for a fill and gel color! They are polite and sassy and get straight to the point, which I love! Mary is very good at doing nails. She welcomed me on a Saturday afternoon and recommended something that I didn't go in for. I am beyond happy with her recommendation. She was very precise and doesn't nickel and dime you if your cuticles need to be cut. I also got a pedicure which I don't get very often. It tickles a bit lol. I really enjoyed this spot to get my nails done! They had reasonable pricing and did great work. I appreciated their honesty w what they could and could not do based on design wants! They were also very transparent with folks calling about availability which I think made the atmosphere there much more open and enjoyable. It wasn't overcrowded at all because the techs were being realistic with how long it'll take them and it never felt like there was a rush! Overall, I loved it :) read more

I literally hadn't had my feet done since February, due to Covid-19. I'm in St. Paul now and my normal pedicure location hasn't opened. So I went to my trusty Yelp mobile app to find a new location. I came across this location, not far from where I'm staying (literally down the street) and they had awesome reviews. I called to verify they were actually open and headed that way. Parking can be difficult, but there is ample street parking and there's a WholeFoods ramp, if you're desperate. I circled the block 3x and finally lucked up on a spot 1 store down. Greeted upon entry. They have Covid-19'd their store. Upon entry, you're made to wash your hands and they have these big shields to protect from spraying particles from your mouth between you and the person providing the service at each station. I wore a mask and the workers did too. I don't recall if all of the patrons did. They seem to have a lot if regulars. My feet came out beautifully. I will be back. read more

Traveling. Came here for a pedicure based on the reviews. Overall a good experience. It's across from Whole Foods. 6-7 pedicure massage chairs. Wasn't give a menu to choose from, went w/ regular and was fine w it. Though I would have chosen something extra for my calluses. Good selection of color choices. They don't use the bags with the pedicure chair but overall still seemed fairly clean. Having an appt seems wise as they were fairly busy but they handled a few walk ins, but had to turn some people away. A five from me would have included a menu of options to help w the language barrier, and the bag things for OCD cleaning level. End of the day, I would return. read more

I went in for the first time to get a full acrylic set. The staff was very friendly. I wasnt overly impressed with my nails. I wish she would have prepped my nails by addressing my cuticles. used to live right across the street from this place but never had the money to go. i finally checked it out this week and i'm so glad i did! they didn't have the colors i wanted but that was okay, i still got really gorgeous marble nails. everyone who works here is very nice and they're all very experienced. i asked the guy who did my nails how long he had been doing this and he said about 7 years! it showed because he had the acrylic on and the shape done quicker than i've ever seen. overall i'm really happy with the results and with the service. will definitely try to come back when i have the money to! read more

This place is really a hidden gem. I called and got in for an appointment on the same day. Kelly did my nails and I like them very slender and pointy, and she exceeded my expectations and was even able to do some rhinestones at the last minute. I was pretty disappointed in my experience here. The reviews looked great but, in the end, NO! Never again. I made an appt. the day before for 5 pm and when we got there, she said she didn't have us scheduled. The place was empty. When we finally sat down, I decided I wanted a "CAT EYE" style Pedi. When I mentioned it, the woman doing my BF's pedicure said, "on your toes?" as if it grossed her out. Keep in mind I got my first cat eye nails done in Los Angeles 5 years ago (Yes on my feet).. I just thought her attitude and snide remarks throughout our entire experience was unprofessional and unnecessary. Especially since she's in the "Hospitality/Sales/Beauty industry. Even my boyfriend noticed everything I said she had something negative to say afterward. Both her and the woman doing my toes made it painfully obvious they were talking (forgive my French) Shit in Vietnamese the entire time.. IDK how I could've been more uncomfortable. Not to mention my cat eyes are NOT symmetrical. The goal is to make them look even and like they are the same on each toe. The total was $80.00 not including tip for one male Pedi (no color) and one female Pedi/cat eye gel. You tell me if it was worth it.. I wouldn't say so. I do not recommend this place to any of my friends unless your a well off "Caucasian" where they'll pretty much kiss your butt to sit in one of their chairs. Sorry, nothing against white people but thats the vibe I got. Best of luck. read more

I started going here about a year ago, but I've started going regularly within the last few months (every two weeks or so). Everyone who works here is so nice, professional, gentle, and good at their job. I've never been cut or scraped, and I get asked about my nails all the time. I selected Will and found his work to be IMPECCABLE, extremely meticulous, top top quality, strong and they lasted 5 -6 weeks before one loosened. He has many many years of experience. A four star rating instead of a much deserved 5 star is because of only 2 factors: the liquid compound he uses to mix with the acrylic powder, and the final finishing "sanding smoothing" step of the new acrylic nail . My dad was a Prof of Biochemistry so I am very aware of chemicals. Will unfortunately uses an unusually strong smelling chemical needed to bond the acrylic powder. I have asthma too and could not tolerate the pungency of this chemical. Then in the final filing/ smoothing of the newly bonded acrylic he uses his tiny electric sander which creates a very fine granular dust which bothered my eyes and caused me to cough. My former acrylic nail beautician in Florida did this sanding via hand. This manual process greatly decreases the high volume of dust. I can not ask Will to use a less toxic pungent chemical nor switch to manual sanding. So sadly I must find someone else. He is an EXTREMELY good artisan and craftsman and gave me BEAUTIFUL nails!!

I got Tuyet, she was so friendly and sweet and did an amazing job on my nails. I left the salon very happy! I will now be a regular there. It is very clean and organized in there.. no complaints at all. They also provide all waxing services and 60 or 90 minute head services. The prices are comparable on everything. Loved it here!

I did rounded nails, and somehow some nails were sharp around the edges and underneath, and some of my black french tip were painted unevenly and i left with nail polish on my finger. I had to unfortunately push my review down to one star. There were issues I had originally ignored as I was excited to come in and get my nails done after about 3 years of not doing so and for my birthday dinner later on. I ran into issues like my original tech not showing at my allotted time for my full set after my pedicure was done, and being charged the wrong amount and my husband hearing the staff say I was charged the wrong amount. I had waited a long time for each of my appointments to start also. I ended up having to remove these nails after the given 2 week "fill" time period and ended up discovering that the acrylic used had come off with an acetone soak in a gummy state and realized MMA was used on my nails. It was extremely difficult to remove, time consuming and very painful, and I'm not really wanting to go back to this salon now. I also recall during my appointment, sitting next to clients who notified their techs that they had issues removing their previous sets. I will say their receptionist is a sweetheart who did handle the charging and no-show of my tech wonderfully and apologized, and they were super attentive to us, so this is not on them. I do not know who supplies the original kits for the techs, but MMA should never be used on our nails.

I let her know I just wanted my skin to look a bit better, no miracles expected. I typically have good skin and have never had issues with facials at other places. I let the lady who did the facial know that same information just before the procedure. The treatment was painful and I questioned that and was told that was normal. My appointment was for 12/30 and I called on Friday 12/27). Good thing I called to confirm...This made me weary but when I tell you the massage was amazing, it was AMAZING. I was so relaxed, I didn't even want to drive home.. Per my request she focused on my back, neck and feet. It was so fabulous. I cannot recommend Cailee enough! I used a new customer Groupon and the check out process was extremely smooth.

Kelly gave the best nails I have ever recieved. I've been getting acrylics my whole life and they have never looked as good as they do when I go get them done by her. She can freestyle the best designs, and if you don't know what type of nails to get, Kelly will figure it out for you and make them beautiful. She's super nice, great prices for the work she does, and overall the best nail tech I have been too. The store itself is great as well the staff are all very friendly and talented as well. 10/10! read more

I've gone to a lot of nail salons and I just stopped into Merriam Park Nails. They were reasonably priced and I felt valued as a customer.
