I have had acrylic nails for 23 years. Being extremely soft, they naturally start splitting on the side. Having good acrylic nails PREVENTS this from happening! And my hands look wonderful. I research Yelp very thoroughly reading as many reviews as possible. This takes days. I selected Will and found his work to be IMPECCABLE, extremely meticulous, top top quality, strong and they lasted 5 -6 weeks before one loosened. He has many many years of experience. A four star rating instead of a much deserved 5 star is because of only 2 factors: the liquid compound he uses to mix with the acrylic powder, and the final finishing "sanding smoothing" step of the new acrylic nail . My dad was a Prof of Biochemistry so I am very aware of chemicals. Will unfortunately uses an unusually strong smelling chemical needed to bond the acrylic powder. I have asthma too and could not tolerate the pungency of this chemical. Then in the final filing/ smoothing of the newly bonded acrylic he uses his tiny electric sander which creates a very fine granular dust which bothered my eyes and caused me to cough. My former acrylic nail beautician in Florida did this sanding via hand. This manual process greatly decreases the high volume of dust. I can not ask Will to use a less toxic pungent chemical nor switch to manual sanding. So sadly I must find someone else. He is an EXTREMELY good artisan and craftsman and gave me BEAUTIFUL nails!! read more

I've been checking out different nail salons. Will did a fabulous job on my dip powder. He put it on very thin and the oyster color looks beautiful. Even he was commenting on it. I don't know how I'll choose another color, it matches everything. I was a walk in so I had to wait. I was very impressed with this heavy duty power tool he used for someone's pedicure. I want that used on my callus. He owns the place with his sister and is always working. But I'll always ask for him. read more

I discovered this place as it was within walking distance of my house. The reviews seemed pretty good, and overall, I had an amazing, great experience here! The staff were really sweet and attentive. They even give you a free bottle of water while they pamper you. For $20, you can't beat the pedicure. While they have a $16 deal on Thursdays, it's likely more crowded and noisy. I'm horrified... they completely botched my sister's nails days before her wedding when she doesn't have time to redo them. We didn't bother trying to get a refund but we should have. They also told us they're "not doing acrylics right now." I wish we would have left as soon as we heard that (since my sister's nails are short and she needed added length). Why aren't they doing acrylics..? No explanation for the lack of this standard nail service. The color they suggested is completely sheer and looks basically like clear polish, but when I asked them to redo it in an opaque color, they said "too late now." The polish is also messy and the tech I had doesn't know how to do an almond shape. The two stars are because this place is very cheap and I've had a decently good experience here before. The nail tech I've had seems sweet. But after this horror story, I don't think I'll be coming back. Ugh. read more

You're there to get your nails done, and that is what sets this salon apart. $35 gets you a mani-pedi, takes about 75 minutes approximately, a good value anywhere. But the reason they get five stars is for how thorough and patient Maci & Ann are. My services are never rushed, and the attention to detail is what sets Bee Nails apart. My cuticles look perfect, my feet are smooth, and the polish is always beautiful. The salon has a lot of OPI & Essie, and are fine with bringing your own polish to use with your service. One important tip though-- make an appointment! With just two technicians weekday evenings get busy. People need pay more attention to my hands and feet than I do. I refuse to. I hate doing nails - because I ALWAYS screw them up...my polish bottle ends up on my bathroom floor, red streaks splatter my wall and I'm standing there screaming and pulling my hair out. Meanwhile my nails are all smudged and I'm a hot mess. Enter: Bee Nails. I found out about them from an ad in a local newspaper - the kind that pile up inside of apartment building entryways. I clipped out the coupon, only to find that the $30 mani-pedi deal is offered every day. The store was empty, but it was a Tuesday afternoon. The lady who was working on my nails took her time and was very sweet. The massage chairs for the pedicure were pretty beat up and didn't work super well - however I look past that, because the water was warm, the jets worked, and my toes still look great 2 weeks later. I was initially drawn here by the $25 gel manicure price, skeptical about the place. Macie did such a professional and beautiful job on my gel manicure! She took excellent care of me and my nails, suggested the perfect color to complement the one I'd chosen (I wanted a glitter fade), and wasn't the least bit irritated when I changed my mind about the color at the last second before she started. I walked in at 3:45 on the Saturday after Christmas Day, and only had to wait 5 minutes for Macie to finish her client before she invited me back. The manicure lasted less than an hour which is impressive considering I had nail art done. The shop is clean, cozy, and her technique was 100% on point. The tools were all clean, and nobody used electric tools on natural nails. All the clients and staff seemed very happy and calm. Wonderful experience, this is my new spot from now on. UPDATE: one of my nails started peeling 2 days later (today), I called and she said to come in and she'd fix it. Since I was there anyway I sprang for a spa pedicure, and the gentleman who did the service (forgot to ask his name) was awesome: very professional, gentle, clean, and didn't bat an eyelash at my fully grown out leg hairs OR my wonky shaped little toenails. $20 gets you a foot soak in aromatic hot water with jets, nail cleaning and shaping, lower leg and foot scrub, gentle exfoliating callous removal, hot oil massage for lower legs and feet, hot towel treatment, and a perfect polish. The salon itself is very unassuming, situated next to a Domino's Pizza. I would compare the experience and skill of the technicians to a five star spa. I had a gel pedicure and manicure with Macie, and she is the most METICULOUS nail technician I've ever sat with. She could (and should) be charging $10-$20 more for her services. I've paid way more for mediocre mani/pedis at the "higher end" salons. A cup of cheap champagne and pretty decor is not worth the shit service. I'll take Bee Nails please! read more
