My BFF & I stopped here last Saturday 2-22 for a walk-in pedi. This place was hopping and we were told 15 minutes. We were seated after about this wait time. However, while not a bad thing to sit back and enjoy soaking our tootsies we did wait a good 20-30 minutes more before they started the pedi. We were handed a menu of options and if I'm being honest I do not recall what I picked, but the final total was $55 before tip for a gel pedi, with no fancy add-ons. I enjoyed the pampering, massage chair, and visiting with my friend. We were also offered a bottle of water while we waited. I was pleased with the final product and by the time we were done, my friend's daughter had arrived and she got a mani and they allowed us to just sit and relax in the massage chairs while we waited for her to finish. $40 for a powder set. $5 to add a fake nail if any were broken. We paid $45 dollars for what the pictures show... we used our natural nails. Other than the artificial nail for the broken nail. First, the fake nail we added onto was in the right hand pointer finger. You can tell, it's just not shaped right, placed right, and even the same length. Second, terrible cleanup. Cuticles were not cleaned up. Leftover powder all around the fingers. Did not clean up under the nails. She also did make sure that the powder was still not attached to the skin. She did not give an equal amount of powder throughout the nail; color more toward the skin is lighter. We did not ask for a "fade" Third, we asked for a line design and it was poorly executed. The lines were not even and they were shaky. Just poorly done. We told her they didn't look right but she said since we asked for "round nails", it's going to look funny.. we asked if she could shape them to coffin (since that's what she said it would look better on), but she said she would have to start over and that she can't do that. We then asked her to take off the design because it was just terrible. And she started roughly taking off the design... I feel like these things are just the basics of doing nails and if you can't shape nails right, clean up correctly, or realize you're handling another humans hands, then there's something wrong here. They were definitely just squeezing in customers and I think that's what led them to be rushed and not doing nails properly. read more

Went to Red Nails tonight for a fill and to replace 3 of my broken acrylics. NEVER AGAIN. Not only was there too much glue, but the technician overdid the gel and several of my nails are bonded to my skin. I asked her to file down the sides several times to match my natural nails - and I ended up being cut twice in the process by the file. Had that been it, I could have overlooked it, but three nails chipped on the way home, and after arriving home and opening a container - two of the nails BROKE. I've had acrylics for about a month - and never managed to have an acrylic break. The work was sloppy and uneven - and the salon refused to give me a refund. Highly disappointed. read more

I drive 25 minutes to get my nails done at this salon & I think it goes without saying, that I wouldn't do so if it wasn't worth my while. The nail technicians are great. I usually get a gel manicure & this is the only salon I've been to that doesn't use a machine file (for fake nails) of any kind on natural nails. Very nice ppl but... Don't get Dip Nails done here. Top coat crackled when dried. Stayed 45 minutes past closing time and it happened again because they used the SAME top coat. $40+ tip later, I had to go back the next day to have it fixed. No discount, no offer to discount next visit. Should have been completely dry when I left but 4 of my nails had smudged. One week later and all my nails are lifting. Horrible place or at least my tech was..I live 5 mins away and thought I would do a last min pedicure since my original nail shop was closed. Well 1) they didn't ask me what type of pedicure I wanted? Just started me thinking I wanted the cheapest because I was asian?? Because the white lady next to me was asked what type of pedi she wanted..2) the tech was new!! she literal just putzed around and pretended she knew what she was doing?! I told her-could you please trim my nails a little more because there's no way I came to just have you wash my feet? The ladies are friendly, experienced and do a wonderful job on my fingers and toes. One time a gel french manicure chipped after a few days. They repaired it without question. Ladies, I've been coming here for years, and have only had one bad manicure in three years. That was from an older lady in her 60s whose eyesight isn't the best. ALL the others do fantastic work. I get pedicures (even convinced my hubby to get one), and gel/acrylic nails. I've seen Lee, Tina, and Jennifer. All do great work. I have been going to Red Nails for about 3 years. You do need to find the right person to do your nails. However, after you find someone you like and trust, it is a wonderful place. The management has changed, and the salon has been upgraded. They are really friendly and courteous, and there are new employees. I even got a Christmas gift from them this past year. You will mostly see good reviews on establishments while the bad ones get erased. I had to write a review to let others know what I went through with this establishment. I walked into this place on a Saturday after 4th of July, when I arrived they were closing so they say. The lady told me to come back the next day which was Sunday. I arrived back Sunday around 3 pm, which they do not close until 5. There were maybe 3 people getting pedicures. It appeared to be less busy. The same lady that told me to come back walked up to me with a nervous look on her face and began to speak Vietnamese and said to me in English, they were busy, I should have made an appointment. I had a confused look on my face. I reminded her that she told me to come back because on Sunday they open from 12-5. She said, do you want to make a appointment. I looked at her and said, you told me to come back today. When she looked as if she didn't want to do my nails, I then walked out. I went to get my nails done, there was no customers at the nail station every one was getting pedicures. I will say this, I'm a black American and that should be enough said. I could have been waited on, I would have waited until they were finish doing whatever it was that they were doing since they didn't close until 5 pm. Why didn't she tell me to make an appointment Saturday for Sunday, This is a walk in. I will never go back into this place again. I know better. read more
