This nail salon is terrible. They are the most unprofessional and rude nail techs I ever witnessed. I was with a friend who'd been going there for years. This was my second or third visit with her. They were so mean to her I will never go back. When I told the manager while she gave me a pedicure, she cut my toe nails so short they hurt. The manager was manipulative and also rude. Literally the best experience I've had in a nail spa. The customer service is amazing and they work so fast, efficient and bring your nail vision to life. It's clean, relaxing and always a pleasant experience. Definitely call to make a reservation- you will not be disappointed. Nail colors: sooo many options. Gel, regular and dip. Some of the Nail Techs are extremely rude if you ask them to fix something you don't like ( completely reasonable request). The staff is always leaving after a few months of being there. They will bend/ twist your fingers and be rude as hell until it's time for you to pay. They also change the price for the nails every time. The manager is aware that the staff does these things and allows it. read more

I went to Lux Nails only one time. Overall experience was fine, but pedi resulted in infection in EVERY SINGLE TOENAIL. It was so painful, I actually had to go to the doctor and get some removed. The doctor stated this looked to be a result of poorly cleaned nail utensils or soaking tub. As a result I will not be returning. Doctor highly recommend finding a new salon. read more

Worst nail salon I've ever been to. I moved to Eagan and was looking for a new salon by home. I went here to get a French manicure and it was horrible. I went back the manager re did my nails with a solid color which was fine... then a couple days later the nails chipped. I talked to the manager and she said they can re do the chipped ones and she said to just come in. I came in the lady told me to wait 30 minutes. I ended up waiting for an hour to get 2 nails re painted. Then not even an hour later the nails I just got re done completely just slid off and came off. This was a huge waste of my time. Background: I've always gotten a gel manicure on my natural nails every few weeks since I can remember. The past couple months have been full of weddings and other events and my nails got so beat up that I got a full set to keep up with appearances but boy did they really mess up my nail beds. I have recently moved back to MN and had no idea where to go take care of my nails. I found Lux by accident and I'm so glad I stopped in. The staff are extremely friendly. I had a relaxing, milk and honey pedicure with gel polish. For my poor nails, I wasn't sure what to do. Cindy told me that dip will give me the strength of acrylic but with the ease of gel polish. This is my first time using dip powder and I love it. I even dabbled with a little color (I usually stick to nudes ) and I'm really impressed with how it feels. FROM MY WIFE THAT LOVES THIS PLACE! Love this nail salon! I have gotten my nails done here now 3 times and am planning on going back again soon. I am so pleased with my experience and how my nails look afterwards. The location is convenient right off of Highway 13 and Silver Bell Road in Eagan. The salon itself is newly renovated, very clean and pretty inside. The ladies there, especially Cindy are wonderful, they are friendly and accommodating. Ann has done a spa pedicure with jel polish for me twice and my toes look perfect afterwards and the polish lasts for at least 2 weeks. My first visit, Cindy did a jel polish manicure and my nails looked great for 2 weeks afterwards. The past two visits Cindy has done a pink and white full set and then a fill on my nails. I have not done my nails like that since before I had my 3 kiddos, 12 years ago! I forgot how much I missed my nails looking like that. She did such an amazing job on them, they looked perfect, and I received so many compliments on them. I highly recommend Lux Nail Spa. This is my go-to place now for some me-time. read more

I got a dip manicure and regular pedicure. When I went they had only three people working so we didn't start until 30 minutes after my appointment time. I wasn't really bothered by that, BUT the lady who did my nails was rushing because they were so behind. She did not put the dip all the way to my cuticle so it looks like I got my nails done 2-3 weeks ago even though it's been less than a week. She also did not ask what shape I wanted my nails filed and there are spots on my nails where it's glossy from the top coat and some spots look more matte. Less than a week and the dip is already cracked... Will not go there again and I do not recommend. read more

Based on the looks you would think they would do a good job but no I was wrong..For starters the lady doing my nails tried to pressure me into getting dip powder when I made clear that's not what I wanted. After awhile of her trying to talk me into it I still decided to go with acrylic. That must've upset her because the rest of the experience was not well. Even though I was getting a short set I wanted clear tips and she insisted since I wasn't getting clear designs it didn't make sense to do straight clear tips. Again with the pressuring! She continues to rush through my nails and eventually CUTS ME on three of my fingers! When I told her about it all I got was a "you will be okay". So much for customer service. On my way out my total was $61! But on my card it ran as $81 dollars for such a basic set and not even decent quality! I had to go somewhere else to do my toes because I wouldn't dare let her cut me again. I had to ask for another coat of paint and for her to file down only for them to still be chunky! They over charged me (I tried to tell her she was over charging me, but did not listen and there were many people waiting so was not about to make a complete scene). Absolutely love this place! I decided to stop in for a pedicure after work. The salon itself is very nicely decorated. I made an appointment (on their websife- SO convenient) but from what I saw, they were very accommodating of walk-ins. Tram, the woman who did my pedicure, was super sweet and friendly and did an excellent job. I got the deluxe spa pedicure for $40, but next time I'll probably try one of their specialty pedicures (lavender, cucumber, or milk and honey) since it's just $5 more. I went yesterday expecting a relaxing pedicure. I chose one of the more expensive pedicure options and got gel polish. I even drove 30 minutes to the salon because it looked so lovely. The woman who did my nails was very nice. The color and polish turned out beautiful. However there were a lot of things that I didn't appreciate it. They clearly double booked because I hadn't even been sitting down for 5 minutes when a party of 3 came in and sat in the lobby... maybe 5 minutes after that 3 or 4 more girls came in. At that point the person I was getting a pedicure with had hot towels wrapped around her legs and feet as advertised in the pedicure description that we both chose. I still had nothing even started with my pedicure. My friend also said her water was nice and warm and mine was honestly cold.. which is my fault because I should have spoke up and said something.. but I decided that wasn't a big deal as everything else advertised seemed amazing. However the person doing my pedicure didn't put the hot towels on until the end. I had maybe 5 minutes of hot towels and my friend had about 15/20. When it came to the stone massage.. she rushed so much (I assume to get to the other people who were doubled booked) that the stone actually flew out of her hand and almost hit another worker. She walked over.. picked it up.. and used that same stone on my feet and legs that was on the floor. When she was rubbing lotion on my feet she was going so fast that I actually had red marks and my feet were so sore. It felt like her nails were just digging into me the whole time. The person I went with loved her experience as she had someone relaxed and did everything that was described with the pedicure we chose. However, with my experience I will not be back. Maybe it was a bad day or off day but I feel like it wasn't worth $80 ($70 pedicure and $10 tip). As I said the lady who did my nails was very nice and I appreciate her efforts to complete everything that the pedicure advertised.. but rushing through everything was not how to do it. The pedicure even advertised "helps clam anxiety" and lets just say it did the opposite. UPDATE: After leaving my initial review, Cindy text and called me to try and remedy the situation. She refunded a portion of my bill back for the experience. I appreciate her willingness to go the extra mile to ensure her customers are taken care of. The thoughtfulness was greatly appreciated. My daughter and I visited Lux on Friday to get her nails ready for her first day at a new school. We were excited to find Lux because she's been looking for a place that does acrylic nails well, and everything from reviews to photos says this is the place for that. I made our appointment (her full acrylic set, me pedicure) via their website for 10:30 am and got confirmation texts that our appointments were set. A few minutes later I got a text from the owner asking if we could move our appointments back due to a wedding party they had scheduled that morning. No problem, we moved them back to 1 pm. I was impressed by how quickly she responded to get the timing straightened out. Friday rolls around and I realize that we were not going to make our 1 pm appointment as we were waiting in line to check out. I called at 12:45 pm to ask if our appointment could get pushed back to 1:30 pm and the owner stated we didn't have any appointments scheduled. Mind you, I had gotten two text confirmations PLUS text back and forth with the owner about moving our appointment back to accommodate their needs. Then she says 1:30 pm won't work, come at 2 pm. Fine. So we arrive at Lux and when we walk in, Cindy, who checks us in, says it'll be a little bit, another 15 minutes or so. At this point I'm pissed because we moved our appointment back from 10:30 am to 1 pm to 1:30 pm to 2 pm. After arguing back and forth with Cindy I stated I would only wait an additional 15 minutes because we had time constraints at this point in time. We kept getting reassured that it would only be a few minutes, but when my daughter and I got up to leave at 2:30 pm is when they finally started running the water for my pedicure. The wedding party that was supposed to be done by 12:30 pm didn't leave till after 2:30 pm, plus they were short staffed due to a family emergency. So I tried to be as understanding as I could because my daughter really wanted her nails done AND it's not 100% their fault the wedding party (of 4 people) took so dang long to get done. Tram and Cindy were both enjoyable, and my pedicure was great and my daughters nails were exactly what she wanted. We were still charged full price - which was ridiculous considering our appointment time was majorly screwed up from the beginning which, to me, warranted some type of discount. Didn't honor their coupon they had on their website since it expired in June - which was fine, I understand that, but it was still on their website. I wasn't going to leave a review whatsoever, but to add insult to injury, my daughters $50 acrylic nails started to break not even 48 hours after the appointment. As of yesterday (Monday) she had had to glue back on 5 of the nails. While they're longer nails (MAYBE an 1-1.5 inches), she is careful with her nails, has had them done in the past like this before, and doesn't do anything with her hands that would increase the risk of them breaking that easily. We won't be going back and strongly encourage anyone considering Lux to verify their appointment is actually scheduled before going in, avoid getting acrylics, and don't bother with coupons. read more

The staff here are extremely kind and professional. I've been getting dip powder down for a year now and they've been perfect. However, two weeks ago something went wrong and they began to chip within a week (usually it would last perfectly for three weeks and I would get them redone my nails had grown out). I came back to the salon and the ladies there redid my entire dip manicure free of charge and personally apologized. I was VERY disappointed, I had Tammy, she was not friendly to me at all. She rushed through my pedicure and I requested dip powder nails. I had a couple repairs, instead of fixing them, she just put the powder on. My nails were all different lengths and she cut me with a file under both my thumbs. It was my first time with the powder so, I wasn't sure until she was done. When it was time to pay, she asked how I was paying. I told her with a card.
