Stopped in for a pedicure after work. I asked the team if they accepted mobile cashless payments (Google Pay, Apple Pay, etc). After some confusion and a phone call, they confirmed they do. I think it would be helpful to have this information by the door. I had gel polish on my toes, and the process to remove that was a bit surprising! This was my first visit to Pro Nails, but not my first pedicure, or change of gel polish. The individual who performed the pedicure (not sure his name) was not confident in the process. His co-worker did help guide him, but it took a VERY long time. I will say, he was very thorough with my nails. He even used the heated rocks to massage my feet and legs, which surprised me, and was really lovely. Sometimes when you choose the "basic" option, you are treated very basic. Nothing about the customer service stands out. The two employees chatted throughout my visit. They didn't ask my name, or anything about me, which is fine, but something that would set them apart, or give me a reason to come back. I've been going here every now and then for a few years but more recently in the last few months. The pedicure is amazing with great care, hot stone massage, and the massage chair is wonderful. I've had powder dip sets a few times and I love them! Typically I stick with French but I have to say this last trip is my favorite so far. Cindy did a lovely ombré from a picture I showed her. Was first time here, had a mailer coupon but decided to do the Luxury pedí due to going on a cruise in a week. Jenny completed the pedicure with mango sugar scrub for exfoliating. Also included hit stone massage. Very relaxing in the massage chair. Jenny noticed I had bad ingrown toenails and put 2 acrylics on for free. I also had a gel manicure. I hope it lasts 3 weeks. I like to think I get simple nails - gel manicure with a single color or French - but I have come to realize that making simple nails look good and last is harder than it sounds. Jenny always does my nails the exact way I like - square tips, not too long, and a thick coat so the color really lasts. She doesn't rush and checks in frequently to make sure it is what I want. I went in on a Sunday for a pedicure and fill. Pedicure review first: The lady who did my pedicure didn't trim my toenails despite me asking her to do so twice. She used hot stones and hot towels on my legs and burned me. Not terribly and I also have sensitive skin but that shouldn't matter and even after I told her it was too hot so continued putting them on my legs. That night in bed I had a hang nail on my toe that got caught on the blanket. The reason I got a pedicure in the first place was to trim my hang nails. The lady that did my pedicure didn't/wasn't able to paint my toenails so one of the other 2 ladies working painted them but did not put the same number of coats of polish on each toe or foot. My big toenails are brighter in color than the rest of my toes. Fill: The lady that did my fill was in a hurry and it was obvious - the length and shape of my nails were uneven and some nails were thicker than others. She cut me with the grinder at least twice and the last time she hurt me she told me my skin is sensitive because I'm pregnant. The color didn't turn out like the sample because she used bare minimum polish. It was close enough and I was ready to get out of there so I didn't say anything. Less than 24 hours later the polish peeled off of 1 of my nails. I went back in and they fixed it. This time she had time and there were more than 3 people working so the nail turned out like the original sample I chose so now it looks different than the rest of my nails because the others were done in a hurry and with less coats of polish. Now, 4 days after getting my nails done 2 more of nails are chipped and peeling. I'm not going back to get it fixed. I will pay my regular nail salon that I love (Envy Nails in Edina) to fix it. The only reason I didn't go to Envy this time was because I recently moved to Burnsville and didn't want to drive to Edina. Lesson learned - make the drive! I will not go back to Pro Nails and do not recommend anyone else to go there either! read more

Most terrible place I have ever gone to get my nails done. I asked for gel and this women gave me dip and gel? Tf.. I seriously did not like the way my nails turned out. They are so thick that I can't do shit with them. And all the edges are not even filled in. Day one and it already started chipping. Never going there ever again. This experience was an embarrassment to them. This is not a good way to build a clientele but then again, maybe they do not care. First, they had no record of me making an appointment 50 minutes earlier. Second, the lady rushed through removing my gel polish which she did not give time for the solution to work and ended up sanding and basically ripping off what was still on my nail. She then informs me that she is not going to give me a manicure but only change my color because they had no record of me calling and she only had time to change my color. Really????? What???? You let me sit down, start and then tell me that????? No filing, no cuticles trimmed, no nails trimmed, and all for 15 bucks. I just came home and had to file my nails to remove the jagged edges. I've been here four times and I'm not impressed. The reason why I've been to this location is because I'm crunched for time and Pro Nails is close to where I work. The first time I went to Pro Nails was for a gel fill manicure, the fill was incredibly thick, my nails had small bubbles and imperfections and the paint began to chip in less than 24 hours. The second time I went here, my gel fill mani turned out okay, I was relieved that this visit wasn't as bad as the first visit. The third time I went here, a male nail technician took off my old polish and touched up my gel nails. He lightly scolded me for my nails; I had to ask him how I should know such information about my nails for the next visit; he said there wasn't a way for me to know. This left me crazy confused. As he picked away at how bad my gel nails were (even though Pro Nails was the last location to touch my nails) he talked about things like Politics, which to me is a major customer service no-no, let alone in any general social or business setting. After he finished touching up my nails, he told me to pick a color. I told him I wanted Gelish and he kept trying to point me towards using another brand. I was told that they're going to stop carrying Gelish because it clumps easily; even though they still had plenty of Gelish colors. I told the technician how Gelish is the only brand I like and that other gel nail polish brands tend to chip easier. After I surrendered and I was and persuaded to go with another brand, he then handed me off to an other technician to complete my paint job. The male technician hovered over her back and very sternly told her she was pretty much doing everything wrong. I felt uncomfortable, there was clearly major tension between the two and I wanted to get the heck out of there; primarily because the male technician pretty much told the the girl how bad of a job she was doing, while painting my nails. The female technician seemed to then take her displeasure towards the male technician out on me and my nails. She was short with me, annoyed and treated me like a child whose never been in a salon and or let outside of the house before. I left in a hurry with an icky feeling and imperfections on my nails (similar to my first visit). Less than two hours after leaving the store, my gel nail polish chipped and the imperfections got worse. All I did during that time was drive and make phone calls (no cleaning, use of chemicals or heavy work). The next day I spoke to my co-worker, showed her my nails and she told me I should go back and have Pro Nails re-do my nails. I reluctantly went back within a 24 hr. period. I showed the male technician my nails and I asked him to re-do or touch up my nails. I explained to him how I was very careful and that these chips appeared in under two hours and I did nothing to possibly aggravate my nails/ the polish. He scolded me and said something like typing, chemicals or driving could have caused these chips; even though I explained to him that I was very careful. My gel nails sure as hell don't chip when I get them done at other places this fast, regardless of doing heavy work or not. He kept arguing with me and I gave up with trying to tell my side of the story because I was flying out of town the next day and I didn't have time to deal with that. I was told that if something happens within a week, they'll fix it free of charge. The whole time the male technician did my nails, he scolded the female technician who did my nails the previous day and made her watch my nails being done (a majority of the time). He asked her to go pick out the Gelish color I wanted. I told them to give me any dark red or red they had left in Gelish. This turned into another "thing" because they went on about not wanting to use Gelish and that there wasn't a dark red left etc. I felt uncomfortable and I thought I was making it easy by telling them to literally pick ANY shade of dark red or red. They became even more annoyed with me for this; I could tell because of rude eye rolls and their tone of voice with me etc. Once my nails were finally done, They again didn't look that great but I pretty much jumped from my seat and booked it out of the store because I felt beyond uncomfortable, belittled and that I just wasted time that I really didn't have time for in the first place. I will NEVER, EVER go back to this location again. The service is horrific, the pricing isn't that great and the pretty decor doesn't hide the dust and lack of cleaning. Misc: -Payment: Accepts most credit & debit cards. Pro Nails strongly prefers cash payments, especially for tips. -Parking: plenty of spaces (accessible and non accessible). Since the salon is located in a strip mall, its typically easy to find parking and the spaces aren't too close together. read more

I'd give 4.5 stars if I could. Nice & clean. I'd say the selection of polish colors needs an update. Several colors looked a bit old. However, I did find something I liked. Mimi did a nice job on my toes and gel nails. My nails were pretty short, so I know it was probably harder to shape them and she made them look nice. I ended up deciding to go with a gel nail, and she picked out the perfect color for me! Prices were decent. You can get a regular mani-pedi for $35. I upgraded the pedicure and I think $10 extra was worth the extra scrub, mud, hot towels, hot stone and extra massaging!!! Their gel nail price is $25 which is less than I've seen elsewhere! So, a mani-pedi with gel nails and upgraded pedicure plus a design on my toes came to $60. Not a bad deal! Plus, they were very nice! read more

A friend and I recently had pedicures on a Sunday afternoon. The people working were very friendly and we got in right away. We both had the spa pedicure, which included a foot wrap and a hot stone massage. My technician gave me an amazing foot and hot stone massage. However, she really didn't to anything for my toes. She didn't cut, shape or buff my nails, nor did she pumice my heels. She did a terrible job with my polish, so when I got home I took it off and cut my nails. Honestly, I care less about the extras - I just want my toes to look pretty. I may give this place a 2nd chance and will the the standard pedicure. read more

Most places I've been to you have to pay extra for that stuff, but here it's just included. You can do walk in or appointment. Let me start off by saying, I wanted to like this place so much as it's very close to my house. My past few visits have not gone very well. I had an appointment for a mani pedi 10 minutes after they opened in the morning, when I arrived, everyone with appointments and some workers there were waiting for the manager to come unlock the doors. We had to wait another 5-10 minutes just to get in the door, than another 5 minutes so they could set up. Not very professional. But again, because this salon is so close I tried to look past that and go again... A big mistake.... My last visit is what REALLY got me. I had an appointment, I arrived two minutes early, I had to wait 10-15 minutes while my nail lady worked on someone else who did not have an appointment like me. She didn't finish with the other woman before getting me started, and that didn't make her happy either. The nail lady rushed through my mani, chopped up my cuticles (now they are all pealing! Ouch.) and did a lumpy job on my gel polish. The polish was lumpy and too thick with too many coats of polish that the UV light BURNED my fingers terribly. I told her this wasn't normal and it hurt, she told me to leave my fingers in the light - really!? While I was having my speedy uneven painful mani experience I heard a woman not getting along with the manager (the only man working there). Now the manager is sexist, crosses the line, and is a huge smart-ass. I guess he took it too far and called a woman getting her nails done a "BITCH" and she SLAPPED HIM. As she slapped him the other lady's working there just laughed... Yes, you read that right. Like c'mon people I'm just trying to relax (for once!) and get my nails done here!!! How unprofessional .. I usual never go to a nail salon, but I was getting married in 2 days and I wanted my nails to look perfect. I made an appointment online for a French tip full set. When I got there, the place looked so nice and welcoming, I gave in and got a pedicure. It felt amazing! Then, Jenny from Pro Nails looked at my nails and said I had great nails and didn't need to get a "full set of nails" so I didn't have to attach any fake nails. She helped me not only save money, but protect my nails! She did an amazing job on my gel French tips! I thought it was going to be very expensive, but it was very affordable and my toes and nails look amazing. They are a wonderful group that likes to crack jokes and have a good time, but are dedicated to making nails beautiful and making you look beautiful. Walked In had to wait about 20 mins, I wanted gel polish which one woman said was $15. Once I was able to sit down I asked the tech who was doing my nails to fix the shape of them she didn't seem to know what I meant by that. No one seemed too friendly or welcoming. The woman didn't put a base coat on my nails because she said I had powder nails (which was acrylic overlay) but I've always had base coat when I've used gel nails regardless of what's on them. Their Tv showed they offer complimentary beverages I was never asked if I wanted something to drink. Also I didn't get and lotion or oil for my hands even though I didn't get the full manicure I've always been able to get my nails rubbed with oil or lotion at the end. Finally when I went to pay the woman charged me $20 instead of the $15 because she had to soak off the gel. Last time I checked that was included other places when I have paid $15 because of course you need to soak it off to put a new fresh coat on.
