I went to another salon (Luxer Nail Lounge, Maple Grove) before my sisters wedding to get a manicure and pedicure and they did a horrific job. So much so that I stopped into MN Nails just praying they could do something to fix the gel polish that was chipping just 24 hours after my manicure. The kind man at the front took a look and suggested he may be able to reshape my nails a bit to improve the look of the chipped nails. Unfortunately they didn't have the same color match polish to just do a polish change. He went a step further and removed the gel top coat and put a new liquid gel topcoat on to smooth out any bubbles and add some more shine. They still aren't perfect, but they look so much better!!! To top it off, he wouldn't let me pay him and just said - come back again when you're ready for another manicure! This is a great business that saved me in a pinch and knows how to do great nails and treat their customers! Thank you!!! read more

So we had issues with timing and scheduling. We had to reschedule so I left a voicemail before they opened he called fuming about how I can't cancel last min bc he turned down 3 people in that half an hour. So we rescheduled n when I finally got there I was rushed and pushed n it robbed me of my soothing mom time. I finally had alone time and they robbed me of it by trying to push up selling. They refused to answer when I did try to talk to them . They even rushed me out saying my toes were dry.. they were not. I still have callus on my feet n there's alot of sharp edges catching on my nails. I didn't want to be there once I got there and never go there again. Yes!! I have found a nail salon that has great pedi's as well as beautiful liquid gel nails. The cat-eye gel polish is SO COOL! I had an issue and called up to inquire on it. Owner Thao told me to come right in. I wasn't thrilled that the gel was so far from the cuticle and it had chipped. She spent over an hour fixing it herself. And remembered me the next time!! Update: I've been coming here now at least 6 months and love my nails every single time! Adding a photo that just doesn't do the French manicure justice (nails were done a week ago and STILL look this amazing!). I came here with my mom on a Monday afternoon, which was also President's Day, and the salon was open for appointments and walk-ins. I called an hour ahead to make an appointment, but once I was here I noticed that all walk-ins were seated within a few minutes. Note that most of the customers were regulars so it was nice to see that consistency. The shop is located within a small strip mall at the far end of The Village. The store was clean and the staff was friendly as well. I got a gel manicure for $30 and my mom got the deluxe pedicure for $40. The manicure included cutting cuticles and an optional wax dip. I decided to get my mom the deluxe pedicure over the classic pedicure because of the additional massage, soak and warm towel that was included. Both services took about an hour (without the drying time for the pedicure). One of my mom's toes got brushed against during drying which ruined her polish but the lady who did hers was nice enough to quickly fix it :) I would definitely come here again! The prices were standard, no wait time, clean facility and most importantly - welcoming staff. Note there is no loyalty card ... I guess they are already so busy that they don't need to add this element! They suggest that you tip with cash but there is a place on the receipt to add tip when you pay with credit card - so this is an option for tipping as well. A suggestion I have for the owner is to display the service menu on the wall in a place that's easy to see. I was searching for the service options/prices upon walking in and once my manicure was done I discovered it was sitting in a plastic holder near the front of the shop. read more

My sister and I stopped in at 10:15am today, Friday, June 17. We each wanted to get a manicure. We didn't have an appointment, so were told to come back at 11:30am. We We did return and were asked twice if we wanted a gel manicure and we responded, no just a manicure with standard polish. Even though we had requested to get manicures at the same time, my sister went first and was done within about seven minutes. I was going to pass on a manicure (wish I had!) but someone came to do my manicure and, again, I was done in about 7-8 minutes. My sister and I look forward to the pampering - massage (ours was 60 seconds) and they didn't even had my sister wash her hands before getting the polish. We would have rather been told to make an appointment and/or come at a less busy time. This is the first time either of us did not tip the technician and I would not return to MN Nails again. There are too many really good nail salons in the area. I feel that because we didn't ask for a gel manicure, a fill, or a pedicure, we received the very basic manicure possible. read more

I took my mother there for a mani pedi for her birthday. It was very crowded, and the wait would have been at least 40 minutes. We opted to go for lunch and come back when it was less crowded. They took us right away when we came back. The women who did our nails were wonderful. The reason for the 2 stars is the owner. He is unpleasant and only looking to make money. They have a bajillion signs asking you to tip with cash. I understand that. I go to pay with my card, and he tells me that it won't work. They are having trouble with their machine. I told him that he should tell people upfront and he just laughed. What would they have done if my mother didn't have the cash, to pay for her own birthday present?!?! read more

If you go here, you might want to request no males because my mom and I have both had bad experiences with the younger male that does finger nails. He rushes his manicures and you will leave with your nails looking worse than when you got there. He doesn't really seem to care. Such a waste of $30. The first time I went my nails were perfect, but I went back yesterday to get my nails filled. It was a horrible experience. My nails are uneven, the pink gel is wavy, there are rough spots. For some reason the lady thought the proper way to deal with my cuticles that were in the way was with her bare finger nail, which tore my cuticle and caused it to bleed. And then she filed one of nails so hard she cut my finger. read more

Since walking in everyone was nice did my pedicure and everyone was good did my little sisters nails and everything was good. When getting my nails one everything was really rushed didn't even take long I went to wash my hands and paid before my polish was placed and I payed $83 and tipped the guy before he finished the product witch I highly regret. This place is amazing, seriously the best nail place I've been to and I've been to salons all over the country. I got a liquid gel manicure with French tips in a stiletto shape (see photo) by Tin. I was impressed, he took extra time to make sure it was perfect and even, he really was passionate about his work and it shows. I will be back. Also I got a manicure, just the basic, and it was great as well. They use really nice products here and the chairs are new and nice, the decor is modern but comfortable. Prices very reasonable. My pedicure was amazing, the girl who did it was great. My manicure was not. I had a man who had been working there for years he said and all he did was paint my nails. I had many hangnails and my cuticles didn't get pushed back. He didn't even offer lotion for my hands. The owner said he wasn't sure they would have time to do the dip gel since 3 people before me also wanted it yet there was only myself who I saw getting my "manicure" or even nails done. My first time at MN nails 4/6/17 with my daughter to get a full set acrylic $30 with gel polish $15 and a classic pedicure $30. The picture was taken the morning after. I never write reviews but people need to know what they might experience going to this place.  I looked at the reviews and wanted to give them a try. I didnt get the ladies names so here it goes. The young lady who did my pedicure did an great job and my daughter got a pedicure by an older lady with glasses next to me. Well this is were it all went down hill minus the old older lady kept talking in her language to the younger lady who seemed not all that interested to hear what she was talking about. Anyways this is when the switch happened the older lady with the glasses started to do my acrylic set with gel polish, she was really rough grabbing my hands all kinds of ways which didn't bother me much it was funny at first and reminded me of when I'm doing my sister's hair (she moves alot). So when she started shaping my nails I noticed they looked slanted and wide so I let her know, she went a cross it with the file but it didn't fix the issue so she continued I looked and all on my nails looked like this I let her know and she looked at them and did nothing. My nails look wide and slanted and they are sore and I will need a fill in sooner because she left a big gap between the cuticle and acrylic overlay. See pics.(I should have switched nail techs but didnt. I was on a time limit.) Well with that all being said this place is overpriced and the older lady with the glasses does a horrible job doing acrylics with gel polish there and she's rough, not gentle and considerate (I'm not a mover, I like my nails done right). I will not return. It's dark and gloomy and the atmosphere doesn't feel relaxing. Plastic covering pedicure bowls, just sanitize and wash it thoroughly. Quickest pedicure ever. I was in and out in 30 minutes. I arrived at 6:45 and they close at 8. I understand they don't want to stay late, but an hour and fifteen minutes is enough for a solid pedicure. There were multiple people still getting their nails done when I left. So I've been to MN Nails quite a few times but this was my worst experience. I showed up for my appointment on time. I had a difficult time finding the right color. I felt rushed into making a decision because they were busy. That's ok, I found a color I could live with. Everything was going fine until the receptionist had given a customer's appointment time to a walk-in because she was late. The customer was irritated because her 15 minutes late translated to her having to wait until a technician opened up. Well the receptionist talked to my technician, Mary, in a language I couldn't understand but from the change in her behavior it meant "hurry up". So my appointment became rushed. The polish is on the thin side and isn't up close enough to my cuticals. So my gel fill isn't going to last long. Now instead of having an upset costomer because she was late and lost her appointment, they have a repeat customer who will likely take her business elsewhere. Customer service matters! read more

I used to come here a lot and everything was great- then I got a nail fungus! I am almost 100% sure they don't use new machine sterilized nail tools for each client. You know how they are supposed to open the new pack in front of you? Yea well they never do and when I see them take the tools out of the package it is already open... makes me think they sterilize them there- improperly. About a week after a manicure there, a black fungus started growing out of the base of my thumb- exactly where they had cut me during the manicure!! I haven't had my nails done in awhile, and hadn't found a place that I really liked near my house. Well, my search is over! This place is large, clean and well organized. My technician was friendly and had properly sterilized tools, and the gel manicure included a lotion hand massage and paraffin wax. I just had an OPI Pedicure today with Tin. He did such a great job with my foot and hand massage! He was very thorough with cleaning my nails and exfoliating my heels. I have been coming here on/off for the last 4 years, he is one of the best! He was not only friendly but explained what he was doing but also the importance of keeping the nail edges smooth.
