He was so incredibly sweet the whole process. I have been going to this salon for 4+ years and I have had mixed results. I will not be going back. Beware... of who you get and the value. Mostly I have requested gel pedicures but sometimes nail tips for special occasions. Last two times I have had a male do my pedicures and also my gel nails for a big event- unsure his name. I have made what I feel are reasonable requests- I like my big toe nails a little longer please cut down as I indicated or as close as possible (just not to the quick), I like the color requested from their color wheel to match what is painted, give me an even polish on the nails that's better than I can do and don't chew up my skin around my nails or cause me pain. This last visit will be my last visit to this salon. I'm done and unfortunately I won't take the chance to be treated like I was again. I selected a color from their color wheel, when it was clearly not the same color (the first nail he painted) he got upset and said yes it is and actually argued. I ended up asking to please switch out to a color that was similar and went with my second choice. Once he completed my gel polish I noticed the edges were pooled up as if my niece did it who was 5. When I asked him to correct the worst one only, he got angry AGAIN at me and said it was my nail shape and not the polish. The owner (blond hair) heard him raising his voice to me, came over, their voices escalated and got louder and he left and didn't come back. She tried all she could to fix the nails and was extremely gracious. But she had to leave her client to do so which wasn't fair to them either to solve an issue her peer created. As I mentioned, not every experience has been like this but I was so embarrassed to have been treated as if I was asking for something I shouldn't be - I can presume others haven't returned because of their experiences with him and maybe the owner doesnt know why. I thought about asking in the future to not have services by him but its left a bad taste. I would rather not take that chance and go to one of 10 others in the 5 mile radius around me. At $60 a service, I expect to be treated nicely and my nails to look like they are done by a professional. I ask to have my requests be met with respect and the respect I show them be returned. read more

Horrible. I got an acrylic fill here yesterday and I don't think the lady knew what she was doing. All my nails are crooked and she didn't even file / shape them properly. Some are round, and some are square. I paid $80 for service I'm not even satisfied or happy with. I will never come back. The workers were friendly and very sweet, but the work was done horribly. ALSO : the lady I had was pulling tools out of her pocket instead of a sanitized container, so I won't be surprised if I get some sort of fungus or infection from this. Please make sure the nail salons you go to are using sanitized tools EVER TIME. This lady did not. read more

Worst Pedicure and Worst Service Ever!! She wasn't gentle at all, left my cuticles all cut up, when she was putting the lotion on my legs, she didn't even dry them first. They were wet while she applied the lotion. She did not massage my legs or feet like they claimed was included with the pedicure. She filed my nails down really short and was really rough when using the nail file on my ALREADY VERY SENSATIVE nail bed. She didn't speak to me once besides asking if the hot towel she left on top of my feet before cooling it down was too hot. It was. I was serviced by Hannah on nails, Tao on feet, and Robin to backfill when Tao had to leave early. All this happened simultaneously. The entire time I kept thinking that this has to be what celebrities experience. I often get my nails done but seldom get a pedicure because I don't have the time. It was an enjoyable experience all around. I am sure this had to do with the fact that I walked in an hour before closing and ordered services that would take two hours. I received the Deluxe pedicure which included exfoliating scrub, hot stone rocks, and clay scrub. My manicure was with the dipping powder or SNS nail system. Hannah, who is also the owner, was gentle in the removal of the last botched job I received and made my nails look natural with the dipping powder; not too thick, just perfect. The only downfall is that they do not carry many colors for the dipping powder as compared to other spots such as Nail Bar and Spa in Apple Valley. Nails and Company only carries around 7 colors in the SNS line. The prices are decently priced so I will definitely keep this place in my top 5 in the Twin Cities. read more

I'm leaving for vacation tomorrow and so I wanted a gel manicure. I've never had one before but Nancy did such a great job on my toes and eyebrows, I didn't hesitate to return. I have been going here on and off with my mother for sometime now, and I truly have reached my limit on what I accept and do not... I have had pedicures that looked and lasted horribly. I have had acrylics put on and filled here that had lumps, missed painting on the sides and stuff left under the nails. This past week, I went in for a french gel manicure and got the worst experience ever...she did the white line so thin that you could see my natural white above it (like it had grown out already). So I went back the next day and had them redo it. The one thing that is positive here is that we never wait more than 10 mins to be seated and staff are nice. This is probably the first review I really don't know what to think. I've been here twice. It's been a mix of experiences... The first time, I had a manicure with gel polish and the lady who did my nails did an amazing job. She was very careful and diligent with my nails. I honestly don't remember the last time I had a nail technician do THAT great of a job. So, of course.. I came back. I asked for an acrylic full set of stiletto shaped nails. Often known as, claw nails. Yeah, yeah, yeah... it's the "in" trend right now. Don't hate. I think they're cool. I had a different gal this time. She shaped my nails so nicely. Instantly, I was obsessed. I quickly left, as I was running late and noticed that my nails weren't smoothed as nicely as I had initially thought. I guess I was blinded by the shape and color, that I didn't pay attention to the quality of her work (you'll see in the pictures I've provided). A few days later, I am at a different salon getting a fill and fix for the poor quality. :( They're so nice and decently priced, but I really am disappointed. Ugh, what a let down. read more

I went here yesterday around 2. I'll start with the pros, they were really nice even though we showed up 15 mins late, and they had affordable prices. Other than that, there was nothing else pleasant about it. I showed my nail tech a pic of the nails I wanted and he said he had that exact color, only to pull out a hot pink of some sorts. He told me the color would come together and look like the pic. Against my better judgment, I trusted him because I never had a bad experience at a nail shop. My shape was horrible and did not fit the frame of my fingers even after I told him to slim them down and the paint job itself was watery and not pigmented. I was so sad and so I asked him to add sparkles to two fingers to make it better. It did not, the sparkles were so patchy for no reason. I asked him for more coats but he kept saying no and that it looked fine. It was disheartening and if they got me this messed up, then there was no point in trying to fix it with them. I paid 30 and tipped 7, idk why I tipped but I guess it was me being Minnesota nice. I went with a friend and her nail tech did her dirty and made four of her cuticles bleed so bad nor did she even listen to my friend's requests. We took the L and left. Our nails were so bad to the point we wanted to cry. After that, we went to local nail shop and just got our nails redone and I should have gone to them the first time because they did me so right. No longer will we ever venture out to this store. Pictures may take time to upload on google but could be viewed on the contribution side. The pink nude on the lighter hand is what I wanted, the two pictures with the sparkles are what I got here, the white nails are what my friend got here also. I was looking forward to getting a mani-pedi, as it had been way too long with the pandemic & all! I called to ask for an appointment for 12:30 on the weekend which they had. I walked in. Sign on the door stated masks were enforced which is great, because I'm a healthcare worker and believe we should all be wearing masks, especially when not being socially distant. I walk into the salon and I see 2 people talking inside--neither with masks on nor around their necks/chins. I was wearing a mask...I start looking at the colors, thinking they must be scrambling to go get their masks...nope! A 3rd person walks out from the back, also not wearing a mask! I'm thinking to myself, if they don't follow state mandates for COVID, don't tell me they are cleaning the nail equipment properly! I told them I wouldn't be keeping my appt because they weren't complying with the mask mandate. They then tried to assure me they'd put a mask on, but it was too late and I no longer felt comfortable in their establishment. Maybe they clean their equipment as they should, but this definitely raised concerns! Thought you all should know! read more

I've never had a bad experience getting pedicures here. They are nice and relaxing and thorough. I was attending a gala and decided to get a gel manicure done. The lady who did my nails completely missed my nail bed with the dremel tool and got my skin instead. It stung all day and today it's scabbed over. I can't recommend getting a manicure there, but the pedicures are great! read more

I had a flight to catch and they made sure I was in and out in time to make my flight. They even offered to drive me to the airport! Second review, first was for a manicure. This review is after a pedicure. I will not be returning to this nail salon. My nails look fine and she did a decent job, that's not the issue. Here is the problem... when I went to pay, I asked her if I could leave a tip on the card, she said yes. She then took it upon herself to add the amount of gratuity SHE wanted (a very generous amount, I must add) and just handed me the receipt to sign! Are you kidding me!?!?? Pretty hot or cold.... I am a 1 star or 5 star reviewer and this nail salon is a fave, hands down! I'm pretty picky about cleanliness of facilities and attitude of the staff and have yet to be disappointed here! It's very convenient for me to come over my lunch break at work for either mani or pedi and while I try to book ahead, I have never had an issue being taken care of right away. They are super nice and welcoming and have a great selection of polish, lots of new massage chairs and no strong smells of polish or remover and no one wearing masks (kind of a turn off when you are treating yourself to a beauty procedure!)... love this place! read more
