They had plenty of staff to get everyone done at the same time, stayed open late so we had the place to ourselves and let us bring food and drinks to enjoy. I really wanted to love this place. The first problem (and it's a big one!) is that the website price list was a huge lie. It looks like they've updated it now, but last week it said a full acrylic set would be $45. It was $75. I agreed to pay it. And the girl who did my nails was lovely, but incredibly slow. It took over 2 hours. And worst of all, 8 out of 10 nails popped off within two weeks. These were tips, so that means there is something weird about their acrylic gel. I went in and asked them to remove the gel from my nails and reshape them. They proceeded to take the gel of by soaking them, which I didn't know why cause I had acrylic already on. Before she did I asked her if she was going to take the nail off and she said she was taking the gel off. After my nails started braking off I stopped her and told her they were weak and different lengths. They said I should have told them I had acrylics but I tried to ask her what she was doing before she did it. Worst experience ever getting a pedicure. The guy I've been going to for years moved out of state so I went here because of the good reviews in my local FB group. I was very disappointed. I always have at least one ingrown toenail and I said that when I scheduled and I was told that was no problem. Cut to tonight and nobody in the business has apparently ever seen an ingrown nail. My nail specialist was too scared to cut it, I was literally telling her where to cut the nail and she wouldn't do it. The manager wouldn't help. The other lady working at least got some of the ingrown out but not everything. I wasted an hour and $48 and was so embarrassed. Never returning. read more

This place is the best nail salon in Bloomington. It is affordable, CLEAN, well-furnished, modern, and relaxing. Siri gave me a fabulous mani/pedi and I could tell she really cared about doing a good job. As soon as I stepped in the door, I was warmly greeted and felt totally welcomed and comfortable. I was gifted a 60 minute mother day massage that only lasted 45 minutes. The owner/ massage therapist started late massaged me for 20 minutes placed hot towel on my back and left the room did not return until towel was cold this was uncomfortable, I never experienced that before, we were interrupted at least twice. I may be isolated in my low rating regarding my massage. I have received massages for many years so I feel credible with my feedback. First, I made the appointment because I had just completed a major move, I was very tired and wanted to treat myself to an hour of calm/relaxation. Yes, I had some body ailments that she asked about --- she told me that I'd need deep tissue and that I might get bruised! I should have paid attention to that comment! I have a smaller frame with very little body fat. Any deep tissue that I had received in the past, was met with a balance of Swedish and other techniques to balance out the deep tissue pressure/pain. Past therapists have often told me that it was important to balance the techniques to avoid pain afterwards. However, this therapist, did nothing but apply such deep pressure on me that I was fighting from crying and actually peeling my body off of the table on multiple occasions. At one point, I told her that it was too painful, and she only told me to hang in there ---- It was awful and I left there kind of a wreck, waited until I got to my car and had a cry over the matter. I literally felt like my boundaries were not respected and it almost felt like an assault on my body. I'll never go back there. read more

Since then I have been to at least three dozen different masseuse and I have to say that Laura at Ocean Dream is the best! She can work out the deepest knots with skill, not just by force, so not only do I get better results but it's more relaxing than painful. The location is great, the inside is clean and kept up. Ok place. Got a gel manicure. I thought it was strange because the nail tech peeled off my old gel polish instead of soaking it off, which I've always been told is not good for you nails. The manicure seemed really rush and wasn't super precise. And I only got 2 coats, which for some colors is fine but for some colors it is too see through still at that point. Don't think I'd go back. Although I am happy that they were able to fit me in right away. read more

The place is clean, nicely decorated and Laura was very friendly. 3 days later, 4 nails peeled and others had edges coming loose - it was Christmas Eve, so couldn't go back until Dec 26.
