Stayed in the area and came here a few times. I sat at the bar both times and service was nice and friendly. The place is easily accessible from many hotels in the downtown area. The decor is artsy and fun. I did take out and the items were as expected and tasted great. I saw lots of food orders at the bar that looked great.

Quartered chicken. Avoid.

Stopped back here a few times recently and have had great experiences. They have definitely made some changes over the years and the menu and food is really good now. Most recently I had the meatballs and calamari appetizers. I had then pappardelle as my main meal. Everything was delicious. So much flavor in the pasta especially. This is also a really good spot for if you have a big group. We have had office get together, lunches, and dinners in their different rooms. They have always been very accommodating and provided great service.

Arugula salad (honestly not the best, presentation is pretty though.)

SO happy that we stopped here. We dropped in to three restaurants to have appetizers, and drinks.. this was our last stop. Needless to say we ended up ordering entrees because everything looked so good. The wine selection was amazing, food and drinks were affordable for downtown. We sat at the bar and service was excellent. For a weeknight, reservations were still required.. so a heads up on that. Location is lovely, I loved the corner building with glass windows.. prime people watching. Will Return!

Really nice Italian restaurant in Downtown Pittsburgh. The staff was super friendly and when we arrived without a reservation, they put us at the Chef's counter where we were able to watch dishes being served by their talented cooking crew. I had the lasagna dinner, their weekly Tuesday night special while my wife had the seafood fettuccine dish. We both enjoyed our dinners, a nice bottle of Sicilian wine and our really personable servers. It fit the bill perfectly for our dinner plans on a special night to start our trip to the mid Atlantic states.

Another delicious Italian restaurant! I love when a place is delicious from the first bite. Chic, cozy interior on a busy night. We started with meatballs, focaccia, and burrata. The focaccia was airy and had a nice touch of rosemary. Meatballs were excellent, and the sauce was fantastic. I love when you can taste certain flavors, and both were packed with goodness. Meatballs had a nice sausage flavor to them. My chicken had a Calabrian chili sauce, and it was the exact right amount of heat. Cooked to perfection, as the whole chicken was so tender. The cornbread mash the so delicious. It soaked up the sauce and offered a nice sweetness to the meal. This dish was fantastic!! My wife loved her pasta, and the few bites I had definitely didn't disappoint. We will be back!

We made reservations for a Friday night and were seated right away, while most tables were filled when we arrived. The server came over immediately and continued to check on us through out the meal. You have to start with the focaccia; it's amazing! We got it with the oil and balsamic dipping oils. For the main course, I had the rigatoni, which was served piping hot. I enjoyed the vodka sauce, but it had a bit of spiciness to it. We were celebrating my birthday, and they surprised us with a complimentary tiramisu (with a cannoli on top). This was my favorite part of the meal... it was so good!

Came here with a group of friends & had a really nice time. Very cute inside, good wine, and good service. I didn't love the gnocchi dish I ordered, but it was something different and was good just I've had more impressive pasta in Pittsburgh. However, the cauliflower dip with the focaccia??? Incredible. Focaccia is light and the pieces are big but the basket only comes with 4 so we ended up getting a second basket. Cauliflower dip was so delicious and I would come back just for that!

It's a must go again! Amazing service , delicious food, beautiful atmosphere and great location. The server was incredibly helpful about the menu and friendly. We had the broccolini as an appetizer.I had the vegetable pizza and he had the crab cake, seafood Alfredo. However, not sure of the name but 100% sure of wonderful taste. Definitely a new go to!

Food was delicious, pasta was amazing, drinks were pretty good and it was a nice ambiance to sit and chat with a friend

Impeccable service. Great atmosphere. Amazing prime rib with brussel sprouts and potatoes. Also had the shrimp pasta. Our server was Sindhu; so attentive and helpful. Looking forward to dessert!

Sweet Potato Gnocchi

I hope it was just an off day. The bread was ok, the sweet potato gnocchi was ok, the Casarecce was delicious but there was a lot of fat on the beef and my mom had to throw half of it to the side. So kind of disappointing. Our server Danny was nice and funny. And just for a heads up, It is loud in there so not good for a quiet date night.

Had an amazing time here and I'm happy I finally got to go dine at Talia. Pizza and drinks was amazing. Loved the atmosphere as well. We got there around 5pm during the week and promptly seated. Definitely recommend if you're in downtown Pittsburgh

Now, I am going to take you on a journey just like the books Belle read so strap in. We had a 5:45 PM reservation, and even arrived a few minutes early. The hostess/employee (I don't want to assume positions) took me upstairs for a table right by the window, which will be an awesome view when the construction finishes. It was also a beautiful sight of that part of the city as-is. When I was seated, I was one of a few tables seated. It was not full or even busy at that time. Also, as we were seated, we were given waters. My friend joined me about 5-7 minutes after the reservation time. We then ordered our drinks at about 6:00/6:05 PM. From there, we waited and did not meet our waiter, who will be referred to as sweet baby angel Max from here on out, until about 6:20 PM. We ordered an appetizer and two entrees at around this time. Our orders had some modifications but nothing major. By this time, many more tables were seated upstairs and others seemingly received their alcoholic drinks and even appetizers by the time we received only our drinks around 6:30-6:40. Our drinks were big, too, which is great, but that also meant we had to drink them a little more quickly due to the time constraints with the show. We were enjoying ourselves but noticed multiple more tables receiving not only their drinks and apps but also their entrees. Once 6:55 came, we had to tell sweet baby angel Max about our predicament. I will be honest and say we suggested for our drinks to be comped at least - not only for the wait and lack of courtesy with everyone else receiving their items before us despite our arrival and reservation time, but for the fact that we would have maybe 15 minutes to eat, finish our drinks, pay, take our food back to our cars, and make curtain time. What sweet baby angel Max did next flabbered our gasts -- he said not only will our drinks be comped but our whole meal will be comped. He also helped pack our food and kept it in the back so we didn't have to worry about going back to our cars. We made sure to tip him with all we had! We are so glad we did because when we returned after the show, he had the kitchen remake the food and kept it warm for us. When you go to The Eagle, ask for sweet baby angel Max and you will not be disappointed with him, the service, or the food. Because even when they may mess up? The Eagle gets it right with their classy attitude and positive treatment of their customers. You definitely have multiple return customers just from this encounter. Thank you!!!

LOVED our dinner at this place…read more We came here for dinner while visiting Pittsburgh. The first thing that struck me was the interior decor. Very industrial and moody with an open kitchen/preparation area that adds some intrigue. I do like to see the happenings of what's going on as someone with zero attention span. Service was excellent. George was fantastic. He kept a close eye on us without being overbearing. He anticipated what we might need so we didn't spend one second waiting to order anything. The menu is not endless or overwhelming which, presumably, allows them to focus on the items that are listed. I have decision panic so it was kinda nice to have less things to choose from. They asked if there were any allergies or dietary restrictions so I mentioned my vegetarianism. George went through the menu and pointed out the vegetarian options including what seems like it is vegetarian but isn't. They had TWO vegetarian entree options and fortunately the non-mushroom one was something I probably would have ordered anyway: pesto with walnuts, arugula, and a very generous amount of grated cheese. To start, I ordered the Brussels sprouts whichc I was warned had fish sauce. This was fine but nothing that blew me away. GF, on the other hand, loved this. GF ordered the wedge which was brought to our attention as vegetarian with the bacon on the side, which was her request. We ended up sharing both, a large part of that was because hers came out first and I couldn't wait but I'm so glad because the wege was FANTASTIC. The dressing? holy fuck pure ecastasy. The wedge was more like a filet shape which was much easier to eat. Who decided on the wedge shape anyway? The lettuce was so fresh and crisp and went wonderfully with that orgasmic dressing and breadcrumbs. Back to my pasta. Also delectable. Noodles were al dente. The sauce was creamy and packed that pesto umami flavor. The walnuts were a really nice contrast in texture. Everything about it absolutely fucking slapped. GF ordered the mushroom entree which came served on a bed of barley which, don't mind if I do, had a few forkfuls to "sample" for "my review". Again, so fucking good. Because it was my birthday, George provided a dessert (yuzu maybe?) that was served inside a meringue-esque igloo, creamy perfect balance of sweet and tart custard with some berry business underneath. Wonderful. I almost forgot their spectacular cocktails! Holy shit, literally they have a CORN CHIP cocktail that I could not pass up. It comes with two massive cornchips on top of a flavored foam. When you bring the glass up to sip, the cornchips are right in front of your nose and their aroma sets the stage for the drink which was STRONG. It wasn't as corn chip forward as I expected but I understand that flavor is probaly hard to create. For my second drink, I ordered the blue one which was refreshing, light, and really good. GF ordered a spritz which was gorgeous "it was good". For second round, I picked out some uranium thing that was very cucumbery, GF says, "it was good". I just read it outloud to her. "it's true!" Fantastic meal at a great place.

Portions were huge, but the dishes were kind of basic with a ton of sauciness/goopiness. My burrito from Mijo had a ton of chicken but not much in terms of beans and rice and no veggies or garnishes. My wife got a huevos rancheros bowl that just had mountains of sauce; it filled her up, made her very thirsty, and made a huge mess. The kids cheese burger and fries from Triple S was just fine for my daughter but, again, basic.

First, this restaurant is on the 25th floor in part of the space where the law firm K&L Gates used to be. This actually used to be their lunchroom. The lunch menu was excellent. Very well-priced and everything was quite tasty. Our service was top notch as well. Daniel (our server) was excellent, taking great care to make sure we were satisfied and had everything we needed. He deserves major kudos for taking great care of us. I will definitely be back again for lunch and dinner. Check out the pool while you're there. It's comparable to any other pool. However, it was an engineering feat, as it is located on the 25th floor as well! Kudos to Elevation for a great experience and for continuing to raise the bar for Pittsburgh's restaurant scene.

My son called and made reservations. The day came at I met him in the hotel lobby. We took the elevator up to the 25th (27th?? Can't remember) floor where the restaurant is. When we got there we were told that they weren't ready yet. We didn't even tell them we had reservations. So we waited. . . and waited. Finally my son walked over to the bar and told them that we had reservations. The bartender called a server out. She asked us if we were doing fine dining. I said that I wanted to check out the menu to see what they had. She took us to the back of the restaurant. We found out later that there was a nicer area but it was closed off. All of a sudden all of these people started coming in. It took us a minute and we realized that they were guests of the Embassy hotel. They must have been given tickets for free drinks. The bar line was long and stayed long. They were also given access to a very small snack buffet. The server that waited on us was the one and only server working the entire restaurant. She was constantly cleaning tables and checking on the snack buffet. So we had to wait ridiculous amounts of time to order, to get our food, and to even pay. I had ordered a cup of lobster and corn chowder. When I finally got it, it was barely room temperature. It tasted like it was straight out of a can. There was one tiny piece of lobster and about half a can of corn. I hadn't eaten since breakfast and was starving so I ate it. My son tried it and gave it a hard pass. As my entree I ordered shrimp tacos. There was seemed to be fresh pico on it but the shrimp was 90% breading. Not good. My son ordered the club type sandwich. It had a nice portion of meat on it and tasted ok. (That is what the one star is for.). Was very disappointed from start to finish. I won't be back. Ever.
