From the time I pulled in to the time I left was 2 1/2 hours. There were 7 cars in front of me and there are 2 bays. Once you pull in it is impossible to get out so you are stuck. And I don't necessarily think it was the worker's problem, because when they did mine, it took about 20 minutes, but they weren't exactly being lazy, so I don't feel I can fully blame them. They were all nice guys, working at a good pace. They were bouncing back and forth between bays. Understaffed? Something about the system here is not working. Never ever ever again. I had a great experience here! I was there for 35 minutes total. I got there at 11am on a weekday and there 2 cars ahead of me. The staff was honest, nice, quick and they communicated with each other very well. Great teamwork. They also had a ton of deals and I ended up saving $55. Take 5 is a misleading name since the two cars in front of me took just over 20 min EACH. Imagine being hungry and you see a "Burger World" with just two cars in their drive thru. You pull in and wait 20 min for the first car to leave. A car pulls behind you, so now you can't back out even if you wanted to. Now you can hear the second car being offered extras like apple pie deserts, spicy tater tots..."No, thank you, I just came for a burger." Then you hear the price they have the audacity of charging (No prices visibly shown for any of the items offered, they just spring it on you once you're there.) If you want to REALLY save time for an oil change?...Make a reservation at a garage somewhere, show up at the appointed time, and maybe they'll even rotate your tires and change your oil in half the time and for less money, without being trapped in your car dealing with a barrage of sales pitches! read more

I waited a long time. After I was inside I waited almost 30 minutes or more for the workers while they talked and messed around. Only one worker seem to be focused on his job. Then they try to force you to purchase the most expensive service. I said no and then they try to señl you the air filter for $27. Which is an outrageous price. read more

Never will I becoming back to this business. I paid almost $100 to drive off and my car started shaking on the right side. I pulled over and slowly took off and the noise got worse. I was super nervous I went back to the location. They opened my hood and pulled the dipstick out and it was dry! They come out with a big jug of oil. Darrell tried to tell me it was missing a quart! I call BS. Later in the day I returned with my husband and the young man who wasn't even at the location earlier knew that they forgot to put oil in my car. First time customer . Whole experience was kinda shocking. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else . A few issues : 1. The salesperson ( Jaden) that walked me thru the services is a fast taking fool. Made recommendations and when I went with another service said he could give me a better oil for same price I chose which was great but a little suspicious. 2. Jaden asked if I wanted my cabin air filter changed . Initial price was $42 however after objecting to the price he dropped it by $20 so I agreed. Again , nice but they obviously are trained to change prices as needed. 3. Jaden replaced the filter and when he did, he dismantled the glovebox . When he went to put the glove box back in, he couldn't do it. He said I was missing screws or a piece. I had opened up my glovebox 100s I'd times and never an issue . When I told him to fix it , he basically said it's my issue and walked away. His manager , Jessica , then tried to fix it. After a while, she said there were some screws needed and that she would order them and repair the glovebox when they came in. She then disappears with Jaden and after 20 minutes , reappears , tells me the glovebox was broken when I came in and that they couldn't help me ! I started laughing because it was so absurd . 4. After all that, they charged me the wrong price and I had to go back to get it fixed. 5. Jaden refused to give me his name when I asked and Jessica said there was nobody I could talk to / contact because it was a corporation. Terrible customer service . Prices that change while you're taking with them . 2 hour wait . I believe whoever owns the store has trained the staff to upsell which is fine, but lack of transparency on pricing and unbelievable behavior after they broke my glovebox should make you question ever going to this store or any others like it. read more

I got in line for a basic oil change on my Corolla with 4 total cars waiting on 2 bays and it took me over an hour for them to even start. Apparently they only work on one car at a time so even once I got inside the bay, it still took over 20 minutes to start working on my car. Then after all that I found that the basic oil change was over $100. I've visited this location once before and the same thing happened so I figured I'd give it another shot. I was so nervous coming here after all the negative reviews but I just couldn't resist giving them a chance. It's everything I could ask for in an oil change. I don't have to get off my car, don't need to make an appointment , and I was out of there in just about 30-40 minutes. The tech was great and explained everything to me and it was a breeze. Found my new oil change spot. If I had a more expensive or unreliable car, then maybe I'd opt for a dealer but for my little daily driver, this did the trick. read more

Our car was in need of an oil change and we just happened upon take 5 on our way to the grocery store. The staff at take 5 was incredibly friendly to us and each other. The only name I caught was Marcus, but everyone there was great. They were so personable and quick, even working outside on 115 degree day in Phoenix. Just wasted 35 minutes in line at take 5 (also why is it called take 5, when they claim it takes 10, but really it's 30+ minutes each? There were 6-7 guys working. Not understaffed...). Iv had my oil changed here twice and it has always been a great experience. I'll admit it's a little pricey but I think it is worth it because of the quality and speed of service. Not to mention the workers there are always so friendly and really go above and beyond, for example my front bumper is pretty loose and they offered to add zip ties to it to help keep it secure. I went this morning at about 11 o'clock and there were five cars in front of me. It took about an hour in line. You sit in your car so you have no access to water or bathrooms. I had a 3 year old in the car and that was definitely a bad idea to bring him along. Then when it was all said and done my tab for just a synthetic oils change was $95. Yikes !!! Please be AWARE! It's very unfortunate to have to say these things, but the public needs to be aware of the dangers of additional damage to your vehicle that using puppy mill types of oil changing centers such as this, can incur. They try to get as many customers in as quickly as possible and sometimes that can mean doing something in haste or recklessly that may cause additional damage to your vehicle, such as what happened to me. I purchased my car recently and it was kept in immaculate condition by the previous owners. I've had only one oil change done to it since purchasing the vehicle and it was by this particular location/company about 6 weeks ago or so. Whoever put the oil filter cover back on....put it back on wrong and tightened it too much to the point it damaged the cover. So when I went back to have what I thought was a routine oil change, they informed me that the part was broken and they wouldn't be able to take it off without breaking it further. They tried to play it off but it became evident to us pretty quickly what had happened and that they had done the damage when they did the previous oil change. We had to go track down this part they broke which meant going to a couple different places and paying out of our pocket for it. We came back and explained to them that I had just purchased the vehicle and we knew 100% that part was damaged when they did the previous oil change. Initially they tried to give us 50% off the new oil change we had come in for but they ended up comping it completely in the end. It took them a while to get off the part and the poor lady waiting in line behind us was obviously stressed and upset about having to wait for quite a while during them fixing the problem they caused. I ended up having to miss a few hours of work. I shouldn't have had to pay out of pocket for a part they damaged, but whatever. Also, one of the guys working there told us that Take 5 is really cheap on a corporate level and doesn't give the mechanics all the proper tools they need. I believe the guys working here are good guys.....everyone makes mistakes, but just know they have a revolving workforce of new people coming in to their shop as jr. mechanics that don't always know what they are doing. This type of mishap can literally cause an engine to seize, costing several thousands of dollars to repair. We were fortunate this didn't become a bigger problem, but please be aware that these types of scenarios can evolve into big problems and you could get stuck with the bill because it's rare for them to accept accountability. read more

I've been here twice as it's on my way home from work. Very fast service and easy to run to get the oil changed. I would like to say that both times I've been here they have magically been out of the oil I need for the cheaper oil change. The difference being $20+. When I pointed at the canisters that still had oil in the type I needed, the rep said I could come back tomorrow if I wanted that one. I was already in the bay with a guy under the car so I chalked it up as a learning experience. Granted, I know the service is going to be different then a regular oil change but the cost for convenience for less than what I'd normally get at a mechanic or dealership for about the same cost is not worth it for me. If I decide to use their service again, I'll need to call ahead so I can find out if they have the right oil and then I'll know whether they're scamming me as a female or really just having supply chain management issues. I decided on 2 stars as it's kind of fishy, but I'm really trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. read more

A bunch of kids who don't know what they're doing. They couldn't even get the oil cap off so they declared it a "no service" even though they've done it twice before. They get paid by the hour so if your vehicle takes even a minimal amount of effort they will just opt to not do it. It's also a chain so it's more about churning out as many cars as possible. I only go to the Take 5 off Michigan Rd in Indianapolis, they are awesome! Recently went in and did an add on service of a coolant flush, but when they opened my cap it broke off and fell inside. They tried to get it out but with no luck so they sent me home in an Uber and paid to have my car to a shop. Again no luck on retrieving it so they paid to have a new radiator put in my car so I wouldn't have to worry about that piece traveling through my. at and damaging the engine! Not only that but gave me my oil change for free for my inconvenience. A++ for the care and urgency in the matter that wasn't necessarily their fault. This was my first time visiting this place, and it will be my last. It took close to an hour before I was able to get someone to work on my car. The actual work time was around 14 minutes (which is not bad). I paid an average of $68 for my oil. I am a fairly young woman (19), and as I stated, this was my first time visiting this place. As I was leaving, the imbecile of a guy who helped me (Kevin) told me, "thanks, sweetie. You're cute." I am an independent woman who does not need remarks, as such, from a 30-year-old man who works changing oil for a living. Unlike Kevin, I respect myself too much. They broke oil housing filter on her 2012 Dodge challenger, The store was located in kingman arizona on stockton hill road, I knew soon as we arrived there'd be a problem, The young manager was full of himself, I'm on the passenger side I have my window roll down, I heard a pop and one of them said oh shit we turned it the wrong way, I go to look this oil leaking.And they broke the oil housing filter, The young manager.I wouldn't have changed a light bulb said they're not liable, He did not want to clean He gave me a towel, I complained and called corporate.They reached out to me with a district manager, Because the store manager Owner wanted to put a bandaid On the problem, A district manager from take 5 in arizona reached out to me. They paid for the new part is part but they didn't pay for the labor, $$$$$ I would spend the extra money and bring it to a regular place.That knows how to change oil, And not bring it to take 5 their texts don't know what they're doing, When you bring it to a reputable company oil company and they charge you a little bit more remember the reliable, And they know what they're doing..
