THE DREAM TEAM! Paris, Jassir, & Manuel! Wow! I called first & Jassir answer, was super friendly told me they were just finishing a car & didnt have a wait. I was actually excited to pull up after talking to him. When i got there, Paris waved me down & with the biggest smile asked if i needed my oil changed.. i said yea & he handed me a bottle of water. I was like omg thank you!! He explained everything & guided me to the bay. Manny & Paris were under the hood while Jassir thoroughly & quickly explained everything to me & got my permission to check my air filter. The energy was through the roof, they were communicating so well with each & informing me of so many things i felt so comfortable with it being my first time at a Take 5. This place is very slow. I was in line for 25 minutes before they served me. The oil change took more than 10 minutes in spite of the "5" in their name. They left my car a mess with oily fingerprints all over and the hood bar was not put away properly and was in the engine very close to the fan belt. Would have been quicker to do it myself. read more

Here is my experience with this location. First time coming here in July 2023 was simple and fast enough. Several days later I am leaving for work and notice a puddle of oil underneath my car. Checked the dipstick and was about a qt low. When I checked underneath my car I noticed the oil filter was hanging on by a thread. I was upset but thought it was probably just an honest mistake. There's some differences of opinions out there on how much you tighten them. The techs who serviced my car that day looked like literal children so I figured they were recently hired and trained. Against my better judgement I decided to return to the same location earlier this week. That convenience factor they sell is hard to resist. This time I waited close to 45 mins with one vehicle ahead of me. This was fine to me. I think it's probably a little foolish to think you'll be in and out of there within 10 minutes every time. No problem. Techs again were nice enough. Checked my air filter and quoted me $17 to replace it. Sure. As one of the techs was about to close up my hood I heard him ask the other, "Did you put oil in this?" "Yeah" the other replied. The tech checks the dipstick and told the other it was dry. "Whoops" says the other one (this is important later). But they got oil in there and sent me on my way. For the next 2 days I noticed my engine was louder than normal. Tried ignoring it for a day but it seemed to get worse and there was no denying that it was much louder especially when I hit higher gears. Hoping that this was just a coincidence I made an appointment with my dealer for an inspection. But on a hunch I checked under the hood and there was the air filter housing unsecured and flopping around. There was no air filter in it. For 2 days I drove around with no air filter. I live in the desert. Absolutely livid I try calling the location but would be routed to a call center who would try to connect me but nobody would answer. I had a friend give me a ride to the location where I explained what happened. Manager gave me an air filter and offered me a free oil change for next time. He said "Refunds can take 3 to 4 months. Are you sure you want to go down that road?" I explained to him that his techs almost sent me out of the place with no oil in my motor and no air filter and I'd prefer the refund. He disappeared for a few and came back and said he'd put the request in. I asked him again about the time frame and he stated, "I've heard of some people getting it back in one day and others 4 months." I asked him what the refund process was and he stated, "I don't know." Sketchy right? He provided me no documentation and I don't know why I walked away but I did. Tried getting ahold of customer service department but nobody answers. I went back to the location later in the day and it was pretty obvious the manager was annoyed that I was back. I asked him if he could provide me a receipt of the refund and he asks "Do you need that?" I said I did and he went and brought back a receipt. I looked it over and there was no mention of it being a refund. When I asked him about this he said "I can't give you a receipt for that." When I asked him if he thought that was odd considering literally every other place can do that he tells me that he sent an email to corporate requesting that I get a refund. He asked me if I'd like a copy of that and I agreed. He printed me out an email of the request. Time stamp was right and everything but it still just seemed odd. He told me if I had asked for a refund that day he could have given it to me but since I waited a couple days that he has to request the corporate office refund my money. I'm not in the business of telling people what they can and can't do. I will not be returning here. But if you decide to go I highly suggest you check a few things once you're home. If this situation would have happened to my mother she 100% would not have noticed and had considerable damage done to her motor being that she has to drive down a 2 mile dirt road 2x per day at least. An air filter is a helluva thing to forget if you're driving in the southwest. read more

Not only was it an hour and a half wait with only 2 cars in front of us (mind you one car was already being worked on), but they over filled our oil and our engine was smoking. So rude and unhelpful! I made a 7:00 pm appointment, a nightly available time slot per their website, I arrive at 6:50 p.m. I look for the "made an appointment" bay also per the instructions from my appointment confirmation. I am told that they don't care if you make appointments they would never be able to accommodate that system. He then says "we are trying to get out of here so the guys ahead of you are our last appointments." I show the confirmation and he agrees but states I should have booked 7 am not 7 pm. I BOOKED WHAT WAS AVAILABLE?!? Then I get in line and another guy screams at my window while throwing his hands up that they do not service my vehicle make at this location, I am going to need to go to the dealership. I have gotten my oil changed at Firestone etc. it just needs oil! I was then turned away, when I told him they need to figure this out on their website he looked upset. Why the hell do you have the option to 1. Make an appointment if they aren't going to honor that 2. Choose a time slot that they will give you flack for and 3. You enter your make and model when making the appointment, so if that was going to be an issue maybe let the customer know before hand. Do not go here! Being a mom of three I really enjoyed this place as I was able to sit in my car while they changed my oil. The last time I took my car there I did it out of convenience, my husband was working away a month at a time. When they were changing my oil they informed me that they only had the most expensive oil and that the other oil was out. I ended up spending almost $100 to get my oil changed. When my husband got home he was very upset that I spent that much money, but was grateful that I got it done. Yesterday February 19 2022, my husband finally changed our oil. He noticed oil and dirt on the underneath of our car. When he pulled out the part he also noticed that no O-rings were put on when it was changed last. NO O-RINGS! How freaking dangerous! On top of that it was over torqued, which caused a crack, which caused it to leak. When we addressed them directly today February 20, 2022 the manager said because we didn't have them change it that they would not refund us our money, because they didn't see and change our oil. So basically, they wanted us to drive dangerously two hours to come to their dinky shop and have them possibly put us in danger again. Never go here! They do not put your safety first!! I wouldn't take my vehicles there even it the oil changes were free! We will not be getting oil changes at the new Take 5 at Santan Mall! My husband took our truck in for an oil change, keep in mind this truck has never leaked anything, but because of their carelessness we now have oil all over our pavers. He went back and they did not seemed concerned at all, pretty much said they feel everything looks good. Their invoices have no phone numbers to the shop so he looked up corporate, tried to call and no one ever answered! How does a company do business without putting a phone number in their invoices..? And then, they kept trying to slam the ladies hood down in front of our truck almost destroying her hood hatch! Also, they say Take 5 because the oil change will only be 5 minutes and you wait in your car and sit there until about 40 minutes go by... I would advise not to use Take 5 read more

Definitely not a 10 minute oil change as one car as been finished in front of me. Well. Another guy came out after I've been here 40 minutes to tell me that they don't service Mini Coopers. There are 3 cars behind me, 3 in front, and 7 to my side. I am stuck here. They can't let me out of line. A prisoner. Be very cautious of this location and the workmanship. Took in my Honda for an oil change, and the next morning I noticed a puddle of oil under my car. The vehicle was taken back to Take 5, and the staff member automatically stated it was a valve, whatever that means. My interpretation is that he meant valve cover, but the valve cover gasket was repealed 6 months ago from a reputable shop, and never leaked. It was impossible to get these guys to just take a look to see if maybe the filter was not tightened or if the drain plug was loose. AVOID THIS PLACE. If you look at other reviews, which I failed to do prior to going into Take 5, you will see that leaks are common once leaving this location. Took it to a near bye location and they perform oil changed at half the cost and stated the filter was overtightened and cracked. Very disappointed customer. read more

i would not recommend this place. they take advantage especially elderly. i went mothers day week end got an oil, wipers they quoted one price and charge another and told me they gave all the discounts. i wrote on this before. i drove for two and the shield plate came off . they said my fault. i hit something. they would put a new one on if i got one. went back today 2 hours later the plate came off. said i did not. said well the screw part is missing of course it was i was dragging it to get back. i said i had people in my car they witnessed i didn't hit anything. then said well its a honda you need to take to a lisenced dealer. so they have to scrap something. i'm 72 living on social security should have told me that at the beginning. you take those off and on and now because it's a honda you can't do. i was dealing with the manager. i did loose my temper, but remember if you have oil changed there they can put the sheild back correctly because it's a honda. theres don't stay on. i have driven 56 years and drove several hondas and never heard this. i have been to other other take 5 never been cheated. 2635 e broadway rd, mesa, az 85204 this one cheats you to notch. please check other reviews. and if had a bad experience please review. they need to go away. read more

I brought my vehicle in for an oil change which I have done for 3 years when required. They put in the wrong fluid and caused serious damage to my engine. After the car stalled the mechanic stated it looks like you have transmission fluid in your engine oil. I took my complaint to the branch where I got my oil changed for three years and they stated that was impossible and they record all oil changes. I asked them to produce the video and you will see the mistake was made on your part. They could not produce the video and did not compensate me for the damage to my car. I have never personally done an oil change to any of my vehicles and I should have been compensated for their error. I will never use Take 5 Oil Change again. read more

Let's figure this out. Take 5 advertises 10 minute oil changes, but those actually take 20 minutes. They have two bays but are only servicing one car at a time, so your wait is really about 40 minutes. Apparently I arrived just in time because I'm first in line behind the cars in the bays. I feel bad for the 8 cars that lined up behind me as they'll likely get serviced sometime next week, if this pace continues. Couple of on the fly corrections as I wait in line: it'll be 60 minutes for me as first in line because I picked the wrong lane and the guy behind me picked the correct lane. And several cars bailed on the line instead of waiting. Update 2: the manager came out of the office to help so it was only an extra 10 minutes in the wrong line, so about 50 minutes here. As for the service, they did not check the tires but marked they were at 35 psi. They did not clean the windshield as indicated. Most importantly, they did not verify the oil level but instead just showed me a dipstick of clean, new oil. Yes, they are hiring but now is not the time to visit. read more

First of all, this is NOT a 10 minute oil change as purported. It's 45 minutes to an hour at least depending upon how busy it is. I didn't save any time going there; I just sat in my car with the motor running and the air conditioner on for over an hour. Second, since visiting Take 5, my vehicle won't hold any oil; it just leaks all over the pavement. I brought it back and waited another hour sitting in my car with the engine running and the air conditioner on they told me that the wrong plug was put on. I'm not sure why they didn't just use the plug that was already on there. A week later and my vehicle has leaked out all the oil again. DO NOT USE TAKE 5! read more

I've been going to this location for years and never had a problem. 2 days ago I took my car to get the oil changed. There were three men working in the garage. Each one seemed rude and indifferent to the customers including me. The gentleman that was processing my vehicle started arguing with me that my mileage was much higher than it actually was, couldn't find my car in the computer then after that and then suddenly found it but never apologized. Then he tried to upsell me by telling me that my oil was milky white which was a total lie. I am very meticulous about my car being especially since it only has 49,000 miles on it. My only guess is because I was a woman he tried to sell me more products and thought that I might not know anything about cars which I most certainly do . I will never take any one of my car to this place again. Very disappointed in the service. They offered me a bottle of water to begin with, then proceeded to inform of what they were doing all throughout the process, while also informing me in decision making.
