Happy hour menu
Stephanie D.

Went on Tuesday for their happy hour at 4. We were one of the first people there. Lovers lane sangria reminded me of a coconut rum bay breeze, tasty but a smidge too sweet for me. House margaritas were delicious. My favorite tacos were the baja fish, chicken barracho, beef barbacoa, and pork carnitas.

Solid tacos! A bit messy to eat but the flavor was good. Service was great. We ordered the Baja, chicken, carnitas, and barbacoa tacos. Our favorite was the barbacoa. We sat outside and it was nice but a bit loud due to the bridge being right there. Solid taco spot!

Tonight was my first time here and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and the food. The wait staff was very attentive and everything we ordered came out very timely. Everything was extremely delicious, especially the churros! I also recommend ordering a classic margarita to go with the meal. I am excited to come back and try more of their menu! The atmosphere was also very fun with neon signs and a full bar as well as outdoor and indoor seating options.

Food is very flavorful and drinks are poured well. Service was OK, but it was also a fairly light evening when we went and there were not that many servers. Ambiance is cool. They mainly use their bar area which has high chairs, which are not the most comfortable unfortunately.

I really liked the ambiance and decor of this place, but I found it a little difficult to find and parking was a little far. The menu has a wide variety of things to choose from, and we decided to sample a bunch of things. The cornbread and the Brussel sprouts were my favorite! The tamales were my least favorite. We also got nachos and split the churros and apple empanadas for dessert. Everyone enjoyed their cocktails. The service was excellent. I would probably return if I were in the area and the weather was nice because there's a good chance you'll have to walk a bit to get there. There is also an outdoor patio that I think I would enjoy.

Chipotle Corn Bread

Went yesterday, Took about 7 minutes for someone to come over and seat us. Prices are reasonable. Front of House Staff Was attentive and had good recommendations. However the food could've used some extra love..... Started off with the Chipotle Corn Bread. Had a nice crisp outside with a soft center. However the cilantro butter was rock cold so didn't melt over the corn bread. Had Chipotle in the name so was kinda expecting more of a kick of heat/ more love. 7.8/10 The arroz Moro tasted like they just opened a can of beans and threw it into some rice with all of the canned liquid. Beans should be showed love with sofrito, thyme, cilantro and soo much more. 2/10 Crispy chicken taco was literally chicken with flour and pineapples. (Chicken should be marinated and tossed in season flour) 5/10 Shrimp Tacos were 2 shrimps past over cooked with the whole container of slaw on one taco. Hard Pass 2/10 Beef Barbocoa tacos once again just needed some love to it. Meat was cooked tender and juicy but overall lacked flavor. (Would recommend adding a crema or salsa to wake it up) 6/10 Mahi mahi taco was cooked perfectly, just small protein to tortilla ratio. 7.8/10 Falafel taco was the best on the menu from the crispy Garbanzo Fritter to the tzatziki and pickled onions 9/10 wouldn't change a thing except protein to tortilla ratio. Chicken borracho taco was cooked tender and juicy. 7/10 Crispy Avocado Taco was quite surprising, first time trying a deep fried Aguacate before. Fun idea. 7/10 Yuca fries were the best thing that night. Cooked to crispy outside while still being soft and fluffy in the middle. The salsa verde tasted like blended tomatillos. Needed some lime juice, cilantro, garlic, jalapeños and seasoning. House made hot sauces saved the night. I'll say overall to just add some love. Brine & marinade your meats. Use Sofrito, Mojo, cilantro, adobo, Sazon, fresh peppers, fresh herbs. And to avoid tacos from being dry/lack flavor just add drizzles to the tacos.

Yummy food and drinks. Chill atmosphere and good service. Went with friends for happy hour. I would return.

Pork Birria tacos

Second time coming here and this time we tried a little of everything. We ended up trying the birria thursday tacos, cooked perfectly with a nice crunch. The empanadas were delicious, I liked the chicken over the beef. But those chili nachos were out of this world, I'd go here for just the nachos and tacos! The service was fast even though it was busy she did a great job. It's pretty loud inside with the front garage door closed but super cute on the inside. Definitely more of a bar scene. But still a great place to grab a bite!

Great food and drinks! Very fun and cozy atmosphere. Our server was super attentive especially with allergies in our party. Would definitely go back.

Jerk chicken empanada

My cousin and I went to Tacomida for dinner on a Thursday night. The restaurant wasn't too busy and we were promptly seated at a high top near the bar. For appetizers, we ordered yucca fries, which were pipping hot and absolutely delicious. We also ordered jerk chicken empanadas, which were also extremely delicious, although I wish there would have been a bit more chicken. Lastly, we ordered the grilled corn off the cob, which was amazing as well. For dinner, we both ordered three tacos, beef, carnitas and chicken, which all had good flavor. Overall, I would recommend Tacomida. All of the waitstaff was extremely friendly and the food was great as well.

The portobello tostada is wonderful. The mushroom is super soft and the toppings are all so so yummy. This restaurant is super vegetarian friendly. We were able to custom make our own tacos with cauliflower/mushroom instead of meat. The baja fish taco is a 10/10. The fish is super crispy, the chipotle aioli is so so good, the cabbage adds the best crunch on top. The mushroom taco is a solid 7.5/10. It wasn't as good as the baja fish taco though. All the cauliflower tacos were a little dry, but still very good. The best, the absolute best part of the meal, were the warm, crispy, wonderful churros accompanied by dulce de leche and chocolate sauce. I would come back just for the churros. SO GOOD. The service here is also so so good. All the waitresses are super nice. We sat outside, it is the cutest little outdoor area. The lighting is great and pretty. The music is also great. I loved it here and cannot wait to come back

Taco Trio

We went around 2pm on a Saturday. It was not to packed just a few couples and the road nearby was not busy or loud. The server was nice and attentive. The food was delicious and savory. We each got the Trio taco; this option allows you to pick three different tacos on their menu and has a side of rice with plantains with sour cream. The fish taco was my favorite. The drinks were amazing, I got the mango margarita I believe, and it was great. The bathroom was clean as well and overall the vibe was nice.

Carne Asada

Came here after work with my girlfriends for drinks and tacos. It was difficult to find a place to park at first but we parked under bridge and walked right up to the restaurant which was very convenient! The service was decent, nothing really special. They asked if we wanted chips and salsa but never mentioned it cost extra. For a restaurant like this I was surprised they would charge for a tiny little thing of chips and salsa. Tacos came out cold and a bit soggy, tasted decent. Yuka fries were good but the dipping sauce was pretty much just mayonnaise. The margaritas were $9.50 for a tiny glass, wasn't super impressed with that either. Overall okay, but not worth the insane prices.

This is the best marg you're gonna have in your life. I'm actually kinda mad because now every other marg I get anywhere else is a letdown.

We were helping my sister move all day so we came with a huge appetite. While we didn't have reservations, We were warmly welcomed, and given the weather the host was super kind and allowed us to wait inside and even grab some drinks while we waited. We had a couple of different drinks. My personal favorite is the ginger and pearl and the drink with the egg whites. I honestly forgot the name, but it is so good. While not pictured we did get a whole bunch of different appetizers. The brussels sprouts, the muscles, the sourdough bread were also delicious. For main course, we got the tomahawk steak with mashed potatoes and mushrooms, the burger, the steak frites , and the mac & cheese, which is actually on the appetizer menu. Everything was so good. We literally demolished everything that was on the table. All staff members are incredibly kind and the vibes were great We will 100% be returning.

I order dinner and they were out of the hanger steak. My boyfriend ordered and they were out of the paella. I ended up getting the chicken cutlet board. The chicken was very dry, it was like a fish fry batter, not what I think of when I hear "cutlet". Over cooked, salty. My boyfriend got the salmon. I tasted it at the end of the meal, I couldn't even believe he tried to eat it. It was very overcooked and so fishy. Also it said that his potatoes were Lyonnaise potatoes, Definitely not, they were thickly sliced, lacked seasoning, just a miss. Drink service was very slow, forgot a drink too. The waiter mentioned they're in between menus; i'm hoping my feedback can be helpful to the restaurant. Also it is my pet peeve when servers don't tell you upon seating you that they are out of an item. Being they were out of both of the entrées we wanted we may have chose to leave and come back another day and possibly have a more positive experience.

My daughter and I ordered the Hot Honey Wings for an appetizer, and my daughter had a Cheeseburger with French Fries, and I ordered the Meat Lovers Paella. I ordered the paella because I have always wanted to try it, but I don't eat seafood, so I'm glad they had a meat paella. If you're ordering the Pallea, it will take about thirty to thirty minutes, so I would order an appetizer. The wings came out, and they were good, and the sauce was good. My only problem is that many restaurants that make wings seem to miss the seasoning, and the wings were missing flavor. It was fried well, but it was missing flavor. I loved the Meat Lovers Paella, which was packed with flavor. The paella came out in a cast-iron pan, and the meats were cooked well. The steak was moist, full of flavor, and cooked well. The rice was full of flavor and delicious. The Paella had a rich flavor profile, with the prominent tastes of saffron and smoky paprika coming together to create a satisfying and aromatic experience. I would definitely be back for the Paella because the presentation was on point. The customer service was great as the waiter was friendly, outgoing, and very knowledgeable about the menu.

This was my first time here, so I wasn't sure what to expect. It's a cute little dive bar tucked into the hillside. The parking situation wasn't great, but we found a small lot nearby, so it worked out perfectly. We were greeted right away and sat at the bar. I was surprised there was just a menu for the wings just two full pages--everything sounded so good that choosing was the hardest part. We ended up ordering three different flavors (six wings each). Caramel Soy (my pick): I knew this was going to hit, and it absolutely did. If you've ever had Korean fried chicken with a soy glaze, it had a very similar flavor profile:savory, slightly sweet, super addictive. The best part? It came with a fluffy dipping sauce. So fun. The wings were crispy and tender, easily my favorite of the night. Hot Garlic Butter (my girlfriend's pick): This one leaned more toward a classic buffalo-style sauce. Delicious, with chunks of garlic throughout. Not the most adventurous flavor, but exactly what we needed for a little spice. These wings were more heavily coated, so the skin wasn't quite as crispy, but the flavor held up. Solid 8-9/10. Cilantro Lime Tahini (our mutual pick): A bit out there for wings. I liked the flavor, but it felt better suited for a salad than chicken. Definitely our least favorite, but still not bad. 6.5/10. Overall, we'll be back--I want to try all the flavors!
