Words can't express how impressed I am about this cute and chic restaurant. I ordered the Ribeye taco, Baja Fish, Barbecue beef, grilled corn on the cob and a side of sweet plantains. EVERYTHING I had was nothing short than AMAZING! The meat was tender, everything was seasoned appropriately and when I got my food it was still HOT! Mind you I originally ordered via Uber Eats but I had to cancel due to a long wait from no delivery drivers. I called the restaurant and they were so accommodating by allowing me cancel the order so I can pick it up myself. I was most impressed of when my husband went in to get the food, the manager took it upon himself to REMAKE my order just so I can have hot, fresh food! Went for a Friendsgiving night out. This place did not disappoint! The drinks were creative and very good. The tacos were authentic and flavorful with fresh ingredients. Even the Street Corn Salad was fresh and delicious. There's not much as far as parking options in the area, but it's well worth circling around for a spot to open in one of the nearby lots on Howe Ave. I'm so glad they are also on Uber Eats because I will be ordering for delivery often. read more

I have been a customer here a few times and I have had great experience however after recommending this place to my boyfriend & his friend I am utterly disgusted and shocked with how they experience was. While out my boyfriend texted me saying his friends had seen a mouse poking in and out a few times during the hour it was taking for the food to be brought to them. While he was afraid to speak up because they are black men ( we all know the prejudices that comes with that) they waited and kindly asked to speak to the manager about the mouse and the long wait, she proceeded to laugh & jokingly ask if they had ever watched ratoutille. Instead of apologizing and making any effort to improve their service, the waitress and manager then chose to avoid the table. After seeing many tables that came before them eat and leave, they finally got their food after a hour even though they mentioned to the manager they would not like to eat anymore and just want the check for the drinks. I am completely disgusted in the way this matter was handled. And in fact will never step foot nor will I ever recommend this place of service to anyone. And will go out of my way to tell everyone I know about this unprofessional poor customer service and clearly unsanitary place of business. read more

I received a generous gift card so I tried a bunch of dishes here. Among my favorites were the tremendously tasty yucca fries, the cheese quesadilla with mushrooms, and the portobello mushroom taco. Four of us went out to give this new restaurant a chance. The restaurant has very nice ambiance and great outdoor seating. When we arrived, we were quickly seated and advised about the happy hour they offered with good prices. The waiter we had was very friendly and went above and beyond to answer any questions and give his personal favorite recommendations. We all proceeded to order drinks and food. We ordered each of the tacos, queso fondito, and nachos. All the portions of the food were small and left us wishing there were more for the price you pay. But the drinks were fantastic. Overall, I wouldn't rush back unless I am meeting a group of friends for drinks only. Wasn't impressed with the food or the portions. Well, I gotta say this place has really made me happy to live in Shelton CT. I got the Carnitas Tacos and beef. It was very juicy and delicious. The meat was on point. And as you can see the presentation was great. The sauce they give you, while delicious, it's not picante hot. However, I asked for hot sauce and was given a tasty hot chipotle sauce. Which went great with the tacos. It was about a 5 in heat from 1-10. The tortilla was also great. It really brought everything together nicely. They have a variety of beers, but didn't have my fave which is Yuengling. Maybe they'll get it soon. Will definitely come back. Very nice staff and friendly. Good prices. read more

Tried this a few times, as we live in the apartment building above it, so it's very convenient. The drinks are amazing and the staff is very friendly. However, the food is just so-so. Not awful but nothing to write home about. Portion sizes are small and it's very authentic so if you're expecting American nachos or tacos, you'll be disappointed. Twice I have gone and asked the waitress specifically what was in the food I wanted to order because of my allergies and both times they were wrong. They're all new to the menu so I understand they need time to learn everything, but in my opinion if you're unsure you should ask the cook before risking a serious reaction for someone. I really liked this restaurant! I'm thinking they are still working out the kinks as the service was pretty slow. They have top notch drinks, and excellent small Plates. I had just went after the gym so I was HUNGRY. I had the shrimp skewer, a vegetable skewer and 2 mahi mahi lettuce wrap tacos.... they all had amazing spices and sauces. Really good! Went on a Monday night at 6:30 & sat outside. It was great weather but I'd suggest they get some kind of shade covering- the sun was hot & bright. Our server was very friendly & efficient. The pork carinitas were very tasty (2 to an order). The maduros were excellent!!! Heard about this place opening and decided to check it out. The place has a great ambiance, outdoor seating in addition to the inside open to the patio. Not a huge menu, but what is there is wonderful. Started with Carnita tacos, 2 per order. They do not come with rice and beans, you need to order separately, but was also very good. I read a review about the corn and it was a must try. I second that! They come with a chipotle and cheese coating and are on a stick, 2 per order. Ended with guava epinadas, unbelievable! The door were all opened up so you got a beautiful breeze from the outside. Overall great vibe and nicely decorated. Food: the menu is on the smaller side but they have lots of food interesting options. We ordered a few different taco including fish, pork and beef. The pork were by far by favorite of the 3. Tuesday's after 4 are 2$ tacos. Brought the family down for some and were not disappointed. They have 7 signature tacos on their menu so we ordered one of each since it was our first time. Everybody had a favorite but all were really good. The only thing my wife and i could pick on was that the tortillas which are doubled sometimes dropped alot of liquid on the plate making it somewhat more messy than needed. If they brought them out in taco servers(pictured) i think that would easily be remedied. Atmosphere is cool. Margaritas are on the small side but good. There are maybe six taps but if you are a beer person it's a good mix. I had the headway. My wife had the frozen margarita which she said was really good. New restaurant in downtown Shelton. Great outdoor seating and nice indoor decor with a great size bar. Our waiter was excellent and provided recommendations and informed us of the happy hour menu. We were a group of four and ordered margaritas (blackberry and traditional) both were great made with fresh fruit, not a sugary mix. We all got tacos off the happy hour menu. The Baja fish taco was to die for but overall all tacos are super small only about 2 bites. We also got the queso fundito with rajas and a few skewers which were good but again very small portions for the price. The nachos and churros were both excellent and decent size portions. Overall if you're looking for a place downtown just to grab drinks and a few apps or a light meal check this place out. Food was delicious! Service was awful. We went early on a Saturday (husband and I) and they weren't busy. It was just before the dinner rush so maybe 2 other tables there. Our waitress wasn't very responsive, we frequently looked over at her to get her attention for drinks or water. Food came out really fast which felt like we were being rushed. We lingered a bit with drinks and we weren't even asked if we were all set and ready for the check. She just brought it over it us. All I can say is I feel sick. Ordered thru Uber Eats and could not believe the mess they delivered. My first options were sold out so went with a 'Rice Bowl' which wasn't a bowl at all. Gloppy mess of cold mushy lentils with a few grains of hot rice tossed with cold veggies. Inedible. Scorched cauliflower was completely raw on the inside. Awful. 'Grilled corn' was even worse. It's the height of summer, fresh corn everywhere but what you get is cow cud breaded in salty dry cold cotija. Delivery should come with complimentary Tums. I will say the plantains were incredible. Completely delicious. Hot, fresh, sweet. Get a pile of those and some good tequila shots with salt and lime? Just make a boxed version of rice studded with black beans and ur all set.
