Love this restaurant it was in a quaint location on a small, central Avenue kind of area with Plenty of parking in the back. There was a beautiful wraparound porch patio, which is ideal for spring and summer days. The inside the decor was beautiful lots of room, there was the main room, and then additional large space to the right of the restaurant and patio seating out front as well Live music which was wonderful the ambience was great fun it was Sunday brunch and the food was terrific. I had the pancakes with bananas with cinnamon and vanilla and it was warm and also the fried chicken I could've done without the fried chicken just a breast cutlet with the rest of the brunch was awesome. My cousin got bang bang shrimp which was delicious.

My best friend and I went to uptown on a Tuesday night. There was live music which we had no idea about until we got there and we're pleasantly surprised! We started with the special empanada which was mac and cheese and it was delicious! The crust was cooked perfectly and the chili Mac and cheese inside was so flavorful! For entrees we both had spicy penne alla vodka which had a huge piece of burrata on top and breaded chicken. The penne alla vodka was delicious and we were pleasantly surprised because uptown is not an exclusively Italian restaurant. Our waitress made great recommendations for us and we were very happy with the friendliness of the waitresses and speed of service!

This was my first visit since the change to Uptown from Crave. Again, friends were performing, I was out in the area with Writer Friend, so it seemed as good a time as any to stop in and check out the new spot. The first thing we noticed was the bar--twice as long as the original; It was much easier to find seats than in the past. They also expanded the lounge area into a full dining room, freeing up space in the bar for entertainment. There are also small conversation areas in the bar, with comfortable-looking couches and chairs that can accommodate small groups, and all of them were filled when we were there. The menu is different, with some favorites gone, replaced with what may be new favorites. Most of the new items are Uptown's twists on American comfort food, rather than Iberian-inspired, but you can still find empanadas and other traditional Crave items on the menu. Unfortunately, we had already eaten by the time we got there, so dinner is the plan for our next visit. And, one Crave tradition that has been held over is the "Cocktail of the Day"- That night was Empress Lemonade - Fresh lemonade mixed with Empress gin, which gave it a nice color. Plus, their outside area is still open, which is a favorite on weekends during nice weather. We're looking forward to a Sunday where we can sit out there and enjoy a few cocktails while we listen to one of the performers they have. There's music there quite often, even during the week. Highly recommend Uptown for a nice hangout. I'll update once I've eaten there, although, if my past experiences at its predecessor is any indication, I'm sure it will still be five-stars.

This is the Pear app, delish! Sweet so maybe more of a dessert.

The Sunset Dream tequila drink was absolutely amazing! This is a speakeasy $20 drink for $12. Service was welcoming and friendly didn't feel like we needed to be regulars to feel welcomed. I had the blackened fish sandwich on gf roll with tots. Very good I just not crazy about tilapia so I probably wouldn't order again but can't wait to try something else next time. My husband had the all American burger and said it was very good. We will definitely be back.

We came here for dinner and were super impressed! We started with the zucchini and eggplant chips appetizer and it was delicious! My boyfriend loved the green goddess sauce that came with it. For our entrees, my boyfriend had the short rib with asparagus, lyonnaise potatoes, topped with bacon mushroom bourbon demi glace sauce and I had the enchilada stuffed peppers. Both were amazing! We loved how flavorful everything was. This restaurant has amazing service! Our server Andrea was super helpful and courteous; she helped us navigate the menu, made recommendations, and ensured my meal was 100% vegan. The bartender Lauren was also fantastic and made us delicious cocktails! We can't wait to come back.

Went with my boyfriend for our 1 year anniversary/ birthday dinner. The food was amazing and it was the best service we ever had. I had taken a couple bites of my steak and needed to stop to take a picture. Highly recommend.

I had the bang bang shrimp, artichoke flatbread and my partner had the avocado toast . All three were hot, fresh and delicious. Our drinks were well made and staff was efficient and friendly , would recommend!

A lot pricey for the area, portions aren't worth the prices. Martini was good tho! It's wish them luck.

The food was outstanding. I had the NY deli plate. Very good, the pastrami could be sliced a bit thinner, but it tasted great! Fries were hit fresh and crispy!! My wife had the Sunday special, derby dunker. Just wow. So good!! The truffle fries just kicked the whole thing into the stratosphere!! We were there with friends on Kentucky Derby day, and they had Mint Juleps and made sure to show the races, and the Derby was really exciting! Always a good time at the Q&A!

Bummer, as drove 20 minutes in terrible winter weather. I happened to notice the sign Retro next door. On a whim, I googled it. Great reviews. We decided to give them a try. Oh my goodness, the 4.9 out of 5 didn't lie. Out of 5, we give them a 7. Super cute, uber clean was our initial impression. Emily was behind the bar and quickly welcomed us in. We were their first customers as it had just opened. We told her about Taco Central being closed, no idea why and that this was our first time in. She was so friendly and explained pretty much everything about Retro, from it being family owned and run to what makes it special with recommendations and customer favorites. Her Dad is the owner, Gary and we quickly met him. He shared some history of the area, his background and really made us feel special, but what is special is the crazy delicious pizza we enjoyed. Probably the best pie we have had in the NE. Which is saying a lot. It's New Haven style pizza at its absolute finest. The dough, the crust, the San Marzano sauce (to die for), coupled with the cheese, and toppings. We built our own. Sausage (which he makes himself), black olives, mushrooms, hot oil, jalapeños omg!!!! The pie was so delicious. A tip, when your pizza comes out, let it sit a minute or two before grabbing a slice to let it jive together. They offer oregano, red pepper flakes, and Parmesan cheese to add. It's not needed but was so appreciated. They have apx 3 TVs to catch a game as well as tables. The ambiance is casual, retro and fun. Great date night, family friendly and welcoming. There truly wasn't one thing missing. Plus, they offer great wine choices in six or nine ounce pours at reasonable prices. But unlike so many restaurants, they have lovely long stemmed wine glasses. Great selection of beer, including local craft beers on tap and full bar. Go with complete confidence. I don't know if they have parking behind the restaurant as we parked directly in front street side.

The menu retained some items from before, but the chef added more options with a little flair. Upon entering, we weren't greeted and had to sit at a table without any server approaching us. I eventually went to the bar to ask if I should order there or if a waiter was on the way, and I was told a waiter was coming. We waited about fifteen minutes before the waiter arrived. It took another 15 minutes to get our drinks, and an additional thirty minutes for the food. I saw on their Instagram that the staff was still adjusting to the kitchen operations, which I understand, but at least bring the drinks to the table. That was a bit disappointing, but I hoped the food would be worth the wait. My son and I visited because we saw the food on Instagram and thought it looked delicious. The day's special was Rasta Pasta with Salmon, Chicken, or Shrimp. We ordered the Rasta Pasta with Chicken, and my son chose the Rasta Pasta with Shrimp. We also ordered Chicken Wings and Macaroni and Cheese. The Wings and Mac & Cheese arrived first, and the Mac and Cheese was really good. It wasn't overcooked and had multiple cheeses, making it creamy and flavorful. The Wings were crispy and tasty, with well-seasoned sauce. The Rasta Pasta was excellent but very spicy. The chicken was flavorful, and the pasta was cooked perfectly, but I couldn't finish it because of the spiciness. My son agreed it was spicy but enjoyed it. Overall, the customer service was a bit lacking, giving it a three-star rating, but the quality of the food earned a four-star rating. I'd return to order food, but prefer takeout over dining in. They also offer delivery.

This was my first time here, so I wasn't sure what to expect. It's a cute little dive bar tucked into the hillside. The parking situation wasn't great, but we found a small lot nearby, so it worked out perfectly. We were greeted right away and sat at the bar. I was surprised there was just a menu for the wings just two full pages--everything sounded so good that choosing was the hardest part. We ended up ordering three different flavors (six wings each). Caramel Soy (my pick): I knew this was going to hit, and it absolutely did. If you've ever had Korean fried chicken with a soy glaze, it had a very similar flavor profile:savory, slightly sweet, super addictive. The best part? It came with a fluffy dipping sauce. So fun. The wings were crispy and tender, easily my favorite of the night. Hot Garlic Butter (my girlfriend's pick): This one leaned more toward a classic buffalo-style sauce. Delicious, with chunks of garlic throughout. Not the most adventurous flavor, but exactly what we needed for a little spice. These wings were more heavily coated, so the skin wasn't quite as crispy, but the flavor held up. Solid 8-9/10. Cilantro Lime Tahini (our mutual pick): A bit out there for wings. I liked the flavor, but it felt better suited for a salad than chicken. Definitely our least favorite, but still not bad. 6.5/10. Overall, we'll be back--I want to try all the flavors!

I thought the parmesan butter bacon garlic sauce would be more of a sauce, but it ended up being more of a spread. Still a solid burger, just different than what I had in mind. My boyfriend ordered the blue cheesy bacon wings, which were good, although they seemed to have no bacon. He also tried the classic hot wings, which were solid as well. I really enjoyed the laid-back vibe here and would definitely come back to try more of their crazy wing flavors -- there are just so many to choose from.
