We were craving some good quality nachos and checked Yelp for recommendations in the area and thought Breeze Cuisine sounded like the place. We were warmly greeted and given drink and food menus. There were so many great sounding menu items. We started off with a classic margarita and a fruity cocktail. Both were generously sized and very good. The nachos al pastor with pineapple, monster cheese, onions, cilantro, avocado tomitillo sauce, red beans and queso fresco with steak was so good! The nachos did not become soggy and all the ingredients tasted fresh and were well proportioned. We devoured it! The elite loco was a blend of great flavors on fresh and slightly charred corn. Yum! Next time we would order 1 each. Service was attentive and responsive. The restaurant and restrooms were clean and the atmosphere was relaxed. There is also a bar and high top seating available in the bar area. On street parking. We very much enjoyed dining here and would recommend.

Always a delicious bite, typically come in for taco Tuesday but always a great atmosphere for the bite. Service can be slow on the dining side at times since there weren't many servers when I went.

My friend and I went out for lunch and we decided to come here. There are many restaurants in the downtown Shelton area that I haven't visited and I want to explore more local restaurants. As we walked into the restaurant, we were greeted and seated. My friend and I were the only people in the restaurant which we didn't mind. I ordered a Mango Margarita and Costillitas that consisted of Pork Ribs over Steamed Yucca, Cilantro, Red Onions, with a Pumpkin Creamy Spread. The Mango Margarita was delicious and had a punch, which I loved. Just the way a Margarita should be. The Costillitas we're good but the meat was dry and the Yucca were lukewarm. The Red Onions were delicious, pickled, and full of flavor. The Pumpkin Creamy Spread was very creamy and delicious and since the meat was dry, it was perfect to dip the meat into the sauce. My friend ordered French toast and I had a couple of bites. The French toast was buttery, had the perfect texture, consistency, and buttered edges. The customer service was great and are waitress were very pleasant. The three stars is not for the customer service but rather the food. The food was a three star and the customer service was four star. I will definitely come back to try other options off the menu.

Cute little hole in wall restaurant in down town Shelton. Parking is street parking or there is a lot up The street that offers free parking. The restaurant itself with a bit chilly as the doors seemed to be letting in cold air. The staff was very kind and welcoming but very busy. We had reservations. The drinks we had from the bar were very good full of flavor and didn't cheap on the pour. The appetizers of guacamole was super fresh with homemade chips, the calamari was a bit chewy and had an odd yellow sauce on top. The fried plantain with shredded chicken was very good but small Portion. My friends and I shared all the appetizers and barely had room for the awesome dinner. The steak plate I had was full of flavor and the portion was very large it include steak, eggs, beans rice and sausage. They do take credit card and we will definitely be back!

I went to Breeze yesterday. I ordered chicken and beef empanadas, tostones and white rice. The food was delicious. All the staff are very friendly and the waiters and waitresses are very attentive. I will definitely go again.

Breeze Cuisine was a gem we stumbled upon when we wrapped up the Legends of Fear trail in Shelton. We got there on a Friday around 8:30pm. There restaurant wasn't too busy but there was a good amount of patrons seated. There are two sections, by the bar with the high tops or the dining area, and we chose the dining area. Our waiter came over with a few menus and cups of water for us. I asked him how the Chillo (fried fish) was and he said it was really good so I opted for that, with white rice and sweet plantains. For my drink, I chose the white sangria. The food was prepared in about 15-20 minutes and was worth the wait. It tasted so good and was just the right amount. I now see why Breeze has nothing but 5 stars and it's because it's a 5 star experience. The food was great, staff was polite and super friendly and the ambience was so chill. Can't wait to go back.

The food is incredibly fresh and the sazón is perfect, truly reminding me of Puerto Rico. Because in Puerto Rico they cook everything fresh, every dish here is cooked to order, so while it may take some time, it's because they are preparing everything with care and attention. It's one of the best restaurants in CT and well worth the wait for such authentic and delicious food!

Breee Cuisine impresses with its vibrant, modern decor and lively bar atmosphere. The food was delicious across the board, and the drinks were excellent. The yellow sauce, in particular, was outstanding--an absolute must-try!

This restaurant is fantastic. The wait time was minimum. The hospitality was awesome. The constant making sure that everyone at the table was fine. The food was fantastic seafood was to die for; melted in your mouth fresh seafood. The steak was cooked to perfection. The ingredients fantastic as it had delicious flavors will be going again with my friends.

What a wonderful experience we had at this gem of a place. The restaurant has Two dining areas, bar area with bar seating and high tops an a regular dining room. We chose the high tops. Along with the Latin fusion cuisine on the menu they have an excellent playlist of Spanish songs which keep you entertained as you dine. The service was quick and pleasant. We decided we wanted to try several of their tapas so we went with the meat platter and the tostada de pescado. In addition we also had an order of their mixed vegetables. The tapas were excellent, in most places you figure the tapas (small plates) are indeed small plates but the portions here were excellent; enough to share among two. The meat platter had fried crispy pork chunks, chorizo and strips of beef. The meat was perfectly seasoned and extremely tasty. The tostada de pescado (fish toast) was delicious. It had a generous portion of salmon with avocado and other delightful tasting things which was delicious. The mixed vegetables were perfectly crisp and tasted good. To finish off our night we had the flan which was really good. I think we will definitely be back to try other items on the menu. Give these folks a try, you definitely will enjoy.

    Happy hour from 3-6.

What a gem I lucked into tonight. An adorable Latin fusion restaurant with top notch drinks and an assortment of tapas that were creative, satisfying and didn't break the bank. The guacamole was outstanding, chunky style with nice finishing of cilantro and lime. The tostones were fried to perfection with a good amount of salt and a nice sauce to accompany them. Crispy with tender insides. The Costillitas were crispy pork ribs with yucca, red onions and spices over guacamole were seasoned really nicely. My favorite was the Nachos Al Pastor . Nachos piled high with beans, cheese, guacamole, pernil pork that was super tender and seasoned beautifully and pineapple. Yes, pineapple. It added a real lift to the dish. I def recommend this. The Quintalitos Valentin were fried dough pockets stuffed with shrimp and crab. An order could have been my whole meal. The soup of the day was a seafood soup that knocked our socks off. The margaritas were spot on, and there's a nice selection of wines by the glass. The vodka tonic was a nice pour for a happy hour drink. The place was clean and classy, nice clean ladies room, and a cute outside patio. The service was fast and friendly, we never waited for anything. I highly recommend this place. I will be back. Fresh, delicious and unique is what I'm always looking for, and I've found it here, even though I'm from NY and it is in Shelton CT, I'll be back. Just coming back from a few days in Newport, this is the best food I've had, and I paid a lot more for food in Newport. Def worth a trip.Arepa Ropa Vieja

What a explosion of flavors that Breeze brings to your plate. Delicious displays of food & decor. So out in Shelton CT headed out for some delicious Latin food. Started off with crispy fried plantains with mayo ketchup. Then long came these colossal fried shrimp with homemade tartar sauce. Oh my I could of ate it all. Then came the main attractions. Heavenly fried whole snapper. That snapped with with ever tender bite. Paired with a delicious house salad and some fried plantains. To the bouty of meat that came on the Badeja Paisa. Tasty grilled steak to fried pork & some juicy chorizo. This plate was the winner oh I hated when it was all gone. I Breezed through town of I will be back, Breeze to try some more of you delicious Latin fusion options.

Went here on a date and the atmosphere is so cute. If the weather is nice you can sit by the open windows or even outside. Parking is a bit difficult you're going to have to park on the street or in the parking lot next door (not the liquor store, you will get towed!!) The food was full of flavor, i wish they had a larger menu though. The servers were very kind as well. The nacho's al pastor was amazing and the chips were perfectly crunchy!! Add cheese if you get the Arepa dish, suchhh a nice touch !!

Milford's restaurant week was happening, and Costa Peru was on my list, so I decided to go there. My family ordered seafood, while I went with the Peruvian Chicken Wings topped with Peruvian Barbecue sauce, Ceviche Chicken Wings, and Lomo Salado. I was particularly curious about the Ceviche wings because I'd never heard of them before. The ceviche sauce is inspired by Aji Limo Ceviche, a lively Peruvian dish featuring fresh, raw white fish like sea bass or flounder "cooked" in lime juice, seasoned with citrusy, spicy Aji Limo peppers, red onions, and cilantro. It's usually served with sweet potato, corn, and leche de tigre (tiger's milk), offering a tart, spicy, and refreshing flavor. The Ceviche wings were fantastic. They had a bright citrus kick, and I could taste all the distinct flavors, including the spices and chilies. They really hit the spot. The barbecue wings were just as enjoyable, with a sweet yet tangy sauce and perfectly seasoned chicken. The Lomo Salado was also a hit; the rice was fluffy and full of flavor, and the tender Lomo meat practically melted in my mouth. For dessert, I ordered the flan. It was my first time trying it, and I was curious about the taste. Honestly, I didn't care much for the texture, but I'm glad I gave it a shot. My son picked the Passion Fruit Cheesecake, which was pretty good. It's not something I'd order again, but I'm glad I tried it. The service was excellent, and I'm definitely looking forward to returning and trying more dishes from the menu.

I loved this place, their food was fantastic and the quality was super consistent; an excellent spot to get together with friends or a date. So much attention to detail was paid, house made dressing, salsa, all ingredients were super fresh, the meats were always cooked excellently, and the staff was friendly. I hadn't been to the restaurant in a while but at some point in the last few years the Little Columbian restaurant became My little Columbian restaurant. My friends and I went there for dinner at the end of October, there was one couple that was leaving the restaurant but we were the only ones there when we first walked in. The vibe of the restaurant has changed because they changed how they decorated the interior of the restaurant. I prefer their older vibe but no big deal. Our waitress was nice and very attentive all night and the staff in general was quite friendly. Here's my issue, the food quality is not as good as it was in the past. And if they are going to charge along the same lines as what they have, always been on the pricier side, then the quality should still be at the same level. There were a bunch of little things that added up. To start, the salad I ordered didn't have the same quality of greens (I think they used a spring mix in the past), there were some small bits of core in the salad. More to my disappointment the Salad dressing was no longer the house dressing they used to make it was Ken's balsamic dressing, which generally tastes like diabetes syrup. Maybe it was an off night for the salad and I could live with that but the lack of the old house dressing was disappointing. Speaking of cutting corners, the chimichuri used to be super fresh and of good quality ingredients. The chimichuri this time around had a lower quality olive oil and the parsley was dried instead of fresh. My friend ordered some empanadas, which were partially burnt and again the slasa wasn't the same quality as they used to make with the empanadas. For an entree, I ordered Bandeja Columbiana. The chicharon was a bit overdone but ok enough. The chorizo was probably the best part but you have to try to mess up chorizo. The maduro was kind of dry and somewhat bland. The chicken was a touch rubbery and the steak was fine; nothing to write home about. As I had mentioned before the food wasn't terrible, it was fine enough but it was not worth the price it cost. Much worse is the fact that the quality in general just isn't the same as it had been prior, maybe they just had an off night but something tells me this is how it is now. It's too bad this restaurant isn't quite what it was; it used to be one of my favorites.

I personally made a reservation for 7pm and wasn't seated till about 7:30 while waiting in line. The restaurant was fully packed with tables set for 2 and a few bigger tables set for slightly larger parties. There was also live music playing throughout the night. Once we reached the front desk we were offered a "fixed" menu that included an appetizer, an entree, and a dessert for a total of $85 per person with no drinks included for said package. The food was delicious however the wait time between each plate was far too long in addition to this it took 4 attempts to get water served to our table. We decided to cut our meal short and have our remaining entree wrapped up as well as the desserts. Which brings me to my final point. At my previous visit to mamajuana cafe with a full table of 6 each with 5 alcoholic beverages, 5 entrees, and 1 appetizers. The bill was about $420-460 (give or take a bit as it has been a while) with tip included. For our 3 course meal for 2 the bill with tip included was $309.87. Although I would probably still come to the establishment to grab another bite I would recommend refraining from coming on a holiday such as Valentine's Day if you don't want to drop a heavy dime on the food.

La Fonda was a great spot -- authentic food, warm atmosphere, and always fresh. Unfortunately, this new place doesn't live up to that standard at all. To start, there were no English menus available, which made ordering confusing. During my visit, I actually killed three flies inside the restaurant -- and there were several more buzzing around. That alone was a bad sign. The food didn't redeem the experience either. The calamari was over-fried and far from fresh. The dish with ground beef was literally ground into a dust-like texture -- completely unappetizing. The beans were cold, and the empanadas were hard, stale, and clearly re-fried; they even had an unpleasant taste. The mango juice, which I hoped would save the meal, was also a miss. Overall, it was a terrible experience from start to finish. I won't be coming back. Whatever happened between La Fonda Colombiana and Sabores Orange is truly disappointing -- the old restaurant was far better in every way.
