Never do these reviews, but got this delivered and it was straight fire had to share. The campechana (asada & al pastor) burrito was absolutely insane. Asada takes like it should--on an open flame and can taste the wood grilling. Al pastor is shaved on the spit. I didn't get guac in mine I think they forgot to put it in. But a side of the creamy guac (like Lola's "crack" sauce) & their hot salsa was a match made in heaven. Plus, on their homemade tortillas was *chefs kiss* give it a try! read more

I've been wanting to try this place for a really long time. I definitely had very high expectations coming in. We got mulitas, tacos, burrito, chips, corn on the cob. The first thing I saw when I walked in was all mayo (it's not very pleasing to be honest). You can tell that the meat is not fresh, it was a bit dry. Everything was okay, I'm kind of disappointed but at least the customer service was good. read more

Tacomasa is not just any taco place the meat or carne asada served is very good quality and seasoned perfectly! The beans are "De La Olla" style and tortillas for tacos, burritos and mulitas are handmade. They also have Mexican corn on the cob on the menu which everyone must try once. The setting is casual with barstool seating inside and tables are located outside in an open patio. read more

Wanted to try this place! Looked for Mexican food and Taco place came up so why not?! Let's start with the parking area!! Clean and not hard to miss, very nice from outside! When you go in, you are welcome right away by all staff (about 6.. workers) very nice. The place is nice because it has a picture of the family who own the taco place! Very beautiful!!! I added pics.. The menu is small but well worth it and prices are not bad! I ordered adobada fries, adobada torta and a regular arina quesadilla.. oh and let's not forget the horchata! Waited about 10min or less. They have the adobada tronco!!! And let me tell you it looks fresh and the right amount of adobo!! I ordered to go, and many times I hate to be driving home and open my order and something might be missing! But had a long way home! Let's start by saying, don't let the size fool you, might look small but it's packed with lots of meat!!! The torta and fríes My husband loved the torta, he almost didn't finish it he was full but didn't want it to go to waste! Lots of adobada!!!! Good taste I ate the adobada fries and let me tell you, container looked small but it was heavy and ofcourse.. it was because it had lots of meat!!! Good taste and good size for the price BUT!! Yes unfortunately a BUT It needed more sour cream and I didn't see aguacate that sadden me big time!!! I was expecting to have the flavor because of the pics I had seen on reviews, I really missed it!! And sour cream was just like a quick drip, I think if it had both in just the right amount?! Would of given 5 stars!! Remember when I said I hate to order to go?! Yup, because I don't see what I'm missing.. and I missed the guacamole The horchata was so tasty, just PERFECT!!! I came here after I saw their IG page and wanted to try their Super Mulita which looked so delicious. The Super Mulita has carne asada, Al pastor pork, cheese, guacamole, and salsa, all in between two tortillas. They also have Tijuana style tacos the simple but delicious carne asada with guacamole. If you check in on yelp you get a free soda with your meal, they have Pepsi here. When we were ordering they offered us samples of the meats; carne asada, Al pastor pork, and grilled chicken. The meats were all delicious including the chicken, flavorful and juicy. The super mulita lived up to the hype it was delicious flavorful and gooey with cheese. The food was delicious here and great service too. I will be back next time I am in the area. read more

Top notch taste and quality. They make fresh tortillas that are very savory and their tacos are among the best I have had in the LA area. Also their corn on the cob is excellent and a must have if you visit. The only complaint is that they are a bit too pricey but the quality and taste makes up for it. Strongly recommend. Mixed feelings. The Jamaica taco was disappointing because there were many hard, dark pieces of i-dont-know-what which were inedible. I ended up throwing them away because they were one bowl. I also requested two tacos to be lettuce wrapped and they came without the lettuce which was also disappointing. Asada was the best in my opinion. It was nicely charred and crisp in some places. Flavor was nice and subtly smoky. The tortillas were freshly made and you can tell as it was thin yet plush. Overall, it was still a good meal but as a whole, it was a 3/5 star experience. read more

The nachos were a good portion but then my buddy ordered some nachos and they were almost half the size. Inconsistent. The meat was just okay. Nothing that great. The burrito was an average size but had a lot of rice and beans as filler. The food was okay but not worth the price they charge. The asada tacos were great and the adobado tacos were even better! The guacamole topping helps seal the deal here. The cucumber and pineapple aquafresca was very refreshing. The service was very friendly and helpful since they kindly explain the menu if you're a new customer. The day ambiance is nice with a spacious outdoor dining area. To name a few reasons that this will be one of my go-to's: -Great service. -Easy parking (they have a small parking lot on site). -Clean blue and white modern interior and exterior. -Easy ordering process (you order at the front first and then find a seat or wait for your takeout). -Lots seating options including outdoor seats. Can get anymore authentic than cooking the meats in mesquite. It can get a little smoky inside but they have nice outside seating. Service is fast. I had a quesadilla with asada and reminded me of having tacos at El Yaqui in Rosarito. The only reason im giving a 4 star review is the Prices! Damn!!!!! Definitely catering to the white folk out in the LBC because you can definitely get the same for a-lot less at these street taco pop ups. read more

I have been here twice now and both times I have walked away a bit disappointed. While I appreciate what they are trying to, I can honestly say that as someone who has grown up on tacos, and street tacos specifically, Tacomasa misses the mark. The aesthetic they present is true to a lot of the traditional taco places I grew up going to, but the food itself is where it falls short, especially for the price point. 4 tacos and a mulita for almost $30 is a bit excessive in my opinion and while I understand that the cost of goods have gone up, this is still excessive for what it is. 3/5 - Asada tacos 3/5 - Al Pastor tacos 4/5 - Asada Mulita 5/5 - Service 2/5 - Price Overall 3/5 read more

Newer taco place that opened up recently. We finally tried it for lunch and know we'll be coming here a lot for take out! There is a nice patio area with plenty of seating. Most patrons were ordering to go. It is a fast food restaurant and would expect that. There is a parking lot and we were able to easily find a spot. The food and service were both excellent! The meat freshly cut off rotisserie spickets with a wonderful charbroiled flavor. We both ordered Asada Tortas. Meat was very tender and the buns were toasted and fresh. Very pleased with our selection. Definitely one of the best tortas I have had! They were served with several salsas. Hard to tell our favorite as they were all good! I think Tacomasa might be the best Mexican restaurant in Long Beach The food is delicious and they have soooo many authentic options to choose from. My personal favorite is their chicken burrito, but you really can't go wrong no matter what you order. The best part is that the staff are extremely nice and welcoming, always going above and beyond in customer service. Plus they play great authentic Mexican music you can enjoy while dining. First time here and the tacos were amazing. Meats were cooked over a real mesquite wood grill which added a good smoky flavor. The pork tacos were crazy good along with the steak and smoked hibiscus tacos. The people were really nice and the food came out quick.
