lol... it's a little hard to get excited about screws but hey - when you need one, you need one! My little vintage Honda (when does a car become vintage, anyway?) needed a bolt. Dropped one while changing spark plugs and coil packs. Grrrr... It was a challenge scrutinizing the parts sheet online so I just took one in to Tacoma Screw and they quickly found the replacements. Fast, friendly and no wandering around in a big box hardware store trying to get some help. Totally recommended. read more

This is a fantastic place and a real resource for anyone including RC guys like me. The staff are all first rate but in my humble opinion Simon is the very best. Courteous, friendly, knowledgeable, and al willing to go the extra mile even to help a non-professional, non-business guy, like me. read more

Yesterday I raced over to Tacoma Scew in Georgetown. I knew I was going to get there with less than 5 minutes before they closed. My son and I walked in the door and were immediately greeted by one of the employees. We explained our need and the gentlemen took care of us quickly and professionally. I decided to do a review because the employees could have easily had a sour attitude with me and my son walking in so close to closing time and asking for something so small, but they didn't! They treated us kindly and professionally and it seems that is more and more rare these days. Keep it up Tacoma Screw...I see you and I appreciate you!! read more

Anytime I need a fastener or speciality fastener, the only place that I go to is Tacoma Screw Company. There selection is second to none. The service is outstanding! Today was no different. I had Jeremy who did a fantastic job for me. He was prompt, curious and extremely knowledgeable. I will definitely return with employees like Jeremy! Martin (Marty) M read more

WOW !!! Over the top fabulous service from Rafe! Thank you for your talent, courtesy and for superior customer service. I am deeply grateful and impressed. I left with what I needed....but equally important: I felt valued and respected. THANK YOU read more

Staff is super helpful. They even have accessories for my Dremmel / rotary hand tool and at pretty much wholesale prices! Remember to grab a ticket in the middle isle for service or you'll be waiting for a while. read more

They will grossly overcharge you, that's why the prices are not listed on their shelves. the website is impossible to navigate, just see how long it takes to purchase a roll of tape for cash. read more

This place has been incredibly useful for moving into our new (old) house. Go in there with an idea of what you need, you can sketch it on some paper to show the nice people behind the counter what you are looking for. They will disappear to the back room, and come back with some options. When you walk in head straight for the ticket spitter machine and take a number. While you wait, look around at all the fun stuff they have. Do you need a 5 gallon bucket of WD40? Because they have that. I do wish that prices were better marked though. They have an amazing selection of screws, fasteners, and doodads. I highly recommend checking these guys out before home depot if you are looking for that odd fastener. read more

Competitive prices, knowledgeable staff, and the only place to find unusual nuts/bolts/fasteners/screws. If they don't carry it they will direct you somewhere that does. If you just need one or two screws they will usually just give it to you for free. Much better selections than the big-box hardware stores, especially for different materials like stainless steel. They also have a good selection of hand tools, a great selection of files and other odds and ends. Check them out! read more

Eric at Tacoma Screw in Georgetown was awesome. I've come in before for projects but this time I just needed a screw to fix my family's BOB stroller. Eric not only helped find the screw he helped install it. The part was super tricky to attach but he found a way to get it done. Eric and the Tacoma Screw team go the extra mile to provide top notch service. read more

I was in town and needed a thread repair kit and some fasteners. The folks behind the counter were really helpful and had the technical expertise that I needed to solve my problem. Stores like these are very rare and it's hard to find good hardware. I would definitely recommend it!! read more

Expert advice and great selection!

Some of the best customer service on finding you the right screw for the job/project you are working on. Their prices on tools and supplies are up there but they stock top of the line stuff. read more

I'm not a big customer. I'm not even what you would call a hobbyist. I just have the random need for more of a particular screw, bolt, nut, whatever. Tacoma Screw has always come through for me. The time I came here I just needed 18 more screws of a particular thread and length. The staff here was very curteous and spend the time with me to identify the exact size I needed and find me the pieces I needed. Given how few I pieces I needed, whatever they were charging seemed fair since I needed exactly those things. I've always recommended coming to Tacoma Screw when somebody needs a fastener. I only wish that they would expand to the Bay Area because I haven't found a place as awesome. read more

They have a lot of things that serious professionals need that the box stores don't carry.

I love this place. I always feel a bit bad because I'm typically buying a very small quantity of hardware for the various rando DIY projects I'm working on, but the staff is friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a just the right fastener, who would prefer not to waste half an hour searching through the bins at a big box store. read more

Love this place as they have all the specialty bolts, nuts, washer, you name it they got it! Love how their website is so organized and easy to navigate. I always double check their site first, check the in-stock availability and then head to the store with the part # in hand. Quick and easy. read more

The Puget sound salt water requires me to replace a lot of bolts. The customer service at the Georgetown location of Tacoma Screw has always been excellent. These guys, and gal, not only know their business, they have great senses of humor as well. read more

I'm a really hard grader but I give the Georgetown store an A plus. The employees at the counter are smart. The location has everything. I recommend this outfit without reservation. read more
