Indoor seating with the bar.

Wanted some Tex-Mex and tried Taco Shore for the first time. Took the 121 bus from right outside our Condo in DTLB to right outside Taco Shore. No parking/driving necessary! The staff is super friendly! The prices are very reasonable. Just drinks and apps this trip. Cadillac Margarita in a schooner and a Grey Goose martini for drinks. The Guacamole dip was my favorite. The cheese dip with chorizo is good. The ceviche tostada is ok. All the aperitivos are large portions. Next visit will be for Fajitas and Quesadillas. I'm including the menus as of 2026. Give them a try!

Taco Tuesday Happy Hour All Day

Great happy hour all day Tuesday! Good drinks (lime margarita), chips/ salsa, and tacos (carne asada, chicken). First time visit with patio , spacious seating, and indoor seating. Friendly staff and would definitely be back!

Holy Micheladas!!! Tacos, salad, chips and this beauty! Service was top notch, quick and friendly and great prices. And it's always a great vibe on 2nd street, when the weather is beautiful!! #secondstreetshufflg

We came here on a Sunday afternoon (before Labor day) and the street was lively. There was already a few people eating before us so that was a good sign. They have a pretty big menu, I got the chille relleno and birria taco. The chile was good, big size, really cheesy. But the birria taco was pretty dry and it didn't come with consome which I thought it did :( there was also no onions or cilantro for it either My friends got a burrito, pozole, tacos, and enchiladas which were pretty standard/good. They do have really good margaritas and drinks! The only thing, was the food took a while and we had to keep asking for things like lime, chips + salsa instead of them checking up on us

Today March 28 was the "day of Camarones"as my wife had never tried. She is from New Orleans and is VERY "picky"about shrimp. The Taco Shore Shrimp were fresh and delish". Five Stars" for the Shrimp and we like the new mural on the walls of the Parking lot. Keep up the great work We will continue to support this local owned business

This place is so cute, they have indoor and outdoor seating. They start you off with complimentary chips and salsa, the chips were red and green for the holiday season. The tacos are big and I ended up only eating one and taking the other two home. The workers are nice and provided good service. ig: @cravingswithcat

Wow, right on Second Ave! We were looking for a new place to eat and came across this place. Let's skip the parking situation for Second Street on a Friday night. It is bad, we all know it. Nothing we can do about it. If it bothers you, done come to this part of town. We came across this place and it had outdoor seating. Thought we would give it a try. We ordered a margarita sampler and some chips/salsa. For a busy Friday, they came out within a reasonable timeframe. The waitress was busy but kept up with e eryone sitting outside. Chips were good but salsa didn't have much flavor. I cannot recommend the margaritas. Any place that makes margaritas south of Fourth Street does something weird with them. Is there some seltzer water or something with carbonation in them? We tried a second sampler with 4 different flavors. I cannot recommend those either. I have to admit that margaritas are more than a sum of their parts. This experience proved it. I ordered the 3 tacos plate with el pastor and chicken. My husband ordered the taco salad. Neither bad quality but it was difficult to say they had flavor. I found myself using a lot of salt to finish my meal. The meal was reasonable (about $40/person with cocktails). I doubt that I would find myself going back. The food and drinks did not impress me as flavorful.

Great food, amazing service and great place to bring the whole family! They have a lot of TVs playing sports games, great bar area and most importantly clean restrooms.

Dropped in after walking around 2 street & this cafe hit the spot! It took about 5 mins but it was good!

I know this place is called Taco Shore but I decided to order a burrito because I'm a contrarian. First the positive. The service provided was exceptional. Our server was a super friendly and attentive server and she had great support from other employees. Great team effort! My burrito was pretty good, it was HUGE! I wasn't going home after, so I forced myself to eat it since I couldn't store it properly. I was full for 24 hours! 18 bucks to not eat for a day is a good deal in my book. I really loved eating outside on their patio, on a nice summer day, it's great for people watching on 2nd. Now the 2 parts I don't like. 1. They serve their salsa in these tiny little dishes that are probably made for soy sauce at a sushi spot. I get not wanting to have too much waste but 4 or 5 chips will empty the salsa dish. 2. I left my favorite sun hat at our table. I called about 30 minutes to an hour after I left to ask if they had found it and they said they didn't. I was devastated because I love that hat. My buddy went back the next day to see if it was found and he saw it displayed on the wall with some sombreros. I'm super glad they still had it but the situation makes me feel a little weird towards the restaurant.

We come here all the time. Best service - the staff is so kind, prompt, attentive, and always makes sure our drinks are full and we have everything we need. Food is great and very well portioned (get the spicy salsa), patio is dog friendly, and we always feel like family when we come in. 10/10!

Carnitas tacos. There so good. Best Carnitas ever.

Taco Tuesday was fantastic. Family owned. Great service. Friendly staff. My favorite Mexican place. Catering also.

Mahmut E.

Overall, it's an OK experience. It's a typical American Mexican restaurant with a bar inside. They have outdoor seating. I ordered three tacos. They were more juicy than I like, but they were not bad either. My favorite thing was the salsa they brought, and chips were very fresh. Service was very good. They are very attentive. Sietting and decoration is kind of old. Prices are OK. Overall again it's an OK experience.

There is metered street parking and it's not too hard to find a spot. The decor is also beautiful and it's a wonderful ambiance with consistent GREAT service. On the real real- I am disappointed in the food. Each time. Every time I've been here I actually don't eat the food beyond a bite or tie because it's just not good. However, I will say if you are looking for a cute place to people watch on second street and grab a cocktail then this is perfect. I've tried over half of the menu and I've never been impressed with anything. I never can even get past one or two bites. I kept going back to give them another shot, but at this point, I've decided I can't recommend anyone to eat here, especially for the price point. This last visit I had an amazing bartender and preserved a poke bowl, ceviche, and shrimp cocktail. None were good and I can't even call them satisfactory. I had two bites of the poke and it was bland, boring, and actually tasted bad. Same with the shrimp. The ceviche was also off and my friend and I left full plates and no questions were asked as to why and if we liked the food. We didn't. Very cute place, friendly servers. Mediocre at best food, and very expensive. This 11th chance leaving disappointed (and hungry) was the last chance. I tried.

If you're looking for a spot with great atmosphere, a trendy vibe, and beautiful décor, this is definitely it. My favorite time to go is on the weekends for breakfast. I think they have some of the best breakfast options you'll find on 2nd Street. It's definitely a trendy, people-watching kind of place where you can enjoy the scene as much as the food. It's centrally located right in the heart of 2nd Street, directly across from Nick's. Between the stylish décor, lively atmosphere, and great location, it's just one of those places that has a really fun vibe.

I've gotten fish and chips a bunch of times; sometimes the fish great--but sometimes it is slightly under-fried. Today I tried their fried chicken sandwich and it was not great. The menu described the sandwiches coming with pickled vegetables, but it was very plain. The brioche bun was great, but it's not the selling point. The fries oddly also always come with a teaspoon of ketchup. My biggest gripe is the service. I stopped by to have lunch with my mom. I ordered a soda before we placed our food order. While we looked over the menu, I took a few sips of the soda and finished it. My mom drank her water, and finished it. The server came back and took the order, the drinks were empty and never refilled. Whatever, NBD. However, 10 more minutes passed and I flagged down a different server and asked for a refill. (My server had disappeared). The food came out eventually, my drink was nearly empty again--no refill. The runner asked if I needed anything else after setting the food down and I again asked if I could grab a refill (the server still has not come back to the table). I looked around and he was chatting it up with a bartender leaning against the wall and giggling. Super annoying-- I'm glad the culture here means that the employees are friends and can talk and joke around. I don't need constant engagement, but you can't let drinks stay empty for lengthy periods of time. Half way done with the food, we still had empty drinks. Server never came back, runner never came back. Finished the food and sat for ten mins. Flagged down yet again another server and asked for the check. My server made his was over with the check--tips START at 25%, then 23%, then 20% Our lunch was about $70 (without the tip). This isn't McDonald's. The food was meh and the service was terrible. The cost did not make me feel like there was any value given the lack of attentiveness and quality of the meal.

And England Fish & Chips had been on my radar ever since it popped up, I think, from someone else's Yelp review or YouTube channel. This small spot is in the corner of a strip mall and I've heard the lines can be long at peak hours but at 3pm on a Wednesday, it was a breeze and the friendly and smiling owner gladly took my order. I ordered a "Snacker" Fish & Chips for 7 bucks and change and it came out after perhaps a 5 minute wait after ordering and piping hot. HOLY MOLY; this place is LEGIT. My go-to spot for Fish 'n Chips in L.A. has always been Ye Olde King's Head in Santa Monica but this place is closer and truly delicious. For just over $7, you get a very large piece of fish and a huge helping of fries. The breading is delicious and perfectly crispy. The fish inside is delicate, flakey and moist. Your meal is served with ketchup and delicious tartar sauce but I'm a traditionalist and love dousing my F&C with Malt Vinegar which is on every table in the joint. We started with Riley's on 2nd in Belmont Shores, Long Beach. The passport recommended the BBQ Bacon Burger, but I'm not much for BBQ sauce. So, I ordered the Bacon Brie Burger and the Hubs ordered the Short Rib Melt. Hubs gave me a bite of the Short Rib Melt. (We always share). The pickled onions and arugula really made the sandwich sing. Loved the tart with the saltiness of the meat. The Bacon Brie Burger, first, all burgers are 1/2 pounders. Very filling. This burger was hella delicious! I probably won't order it again. No reflection on the burger itself nor the chef. It's just that I was burping brie the rest of the night. Well worth it. If I do order it again, I think I will pass on the garlic mayo. I don't typically eat mayonnaise. Or, next time, I'll either order the Short Rib Sandwich or the Ahi Poke Salad. They have a pretty good menu. The service was quick. I think we waiting less than 15 minutes for our food, even though it was a busy Sunday and football was on all the TVs. Would definitely order again. The eggs rolls and steak sandwich were not it.
