I typically give all restaurants the benefit of the doubt- busy or whatever the case may be. I barely even yelp but 2 times at this location with a bad experience- ehhh. I've gone to this restaurant two times - the first time being just as bad but I thought I'd give it another chance because I love wings and it's close to us! I don't have high expectations from a restaurant chain but I have a little hope! First, I paid $50. $50 for a pretty disappointing dinner. I give one star because first my husband ordered tater tots and got 6 French fries instead. Okay..that happens but 6? Not a handful - 6 French fries. We literally counted. He also ordered fish - 3 very small pieces 2 of which were intertwined together. Now, I'm talking the size of a fish sticks with a little more "meat" and they tasted like fish sticks. (For $12.50 I may add.) Now onto my order, I asked for "swimming wings" - I think we all know what that means - the only thing that was swimming were my French fries. Which then weren't edible but hey at least I got more than 6! My Wings weren't even tossed ...warm.., or even moist. The Garlic Parmesan tasted like butter with no hint of garlic or Parmesan Also, there were multiple dark spots on my wings. I ended up eating the majority of it because I was starving at this point because we waited 45+ on a Tuesday night that wasn't very packed. Let's not forgot my app that ended being our kids meal - We ordered a flatbread pizza - that's where the 1 star comes in - tasted pretty good - kinda microwave-ish though but the kids didn't mind. Service, was okay - I understand that all the waitresses were tired but some cheerfulness or maybe a warm welcoming smile would maybe give this restaurant another star. 2 1/2 hours of my life and $50 that I will never get back is pretty disappointing. Hope y'all have a better experience. Done spending $50+ on this food. Edit to add : Everyone now has stomachaches. read more

I have frequented this Taco Mac location for several years several times per month and will no longer give my business to this location. Some of the bar staff are extremely rude. Unfortunately, my wife and I experienced this rudeness from one particular bar staff person numerous times now and my wife and I have decided that it is not appropriate to continue to give our patronage to an establishment with such rude servers. The food is average but acceptable. read more

Very inconsistent service. We have had great experiences and negative experiences. You can get worst service when no one is there vs when it is packed. Not sure how that is even possible. Hopefully they will realize the negative feedback and make changes. read more

Hadn't eaten here in a while but my wife and I stopped in for a bite to eat. I got a Burger and she got Chicken Strips. After letting her have a bite on my burger she immediately had food envy. Hands down the best burger I've had in Canton. I was surprised because it had been hit or miss in the past. Well, after that lunch trip we ate here 3 more times in the next week & a half, each time Both of us got burgers. I'm not sure what's changed but I like it. My go to place for a burger from now on! I figured I'd post an update to my previous review. At the time of my last review I gave them 5 stars for their burgers. Since then I've returned several times and did not have nearly the same experience. The burgers have become so-so at best. I'll still drop in every now and then but if they don't somehow get back to where they were I won't be for long. read more

I love taco mac as a place, great food and beer. Love the selection and the brewniversity system. I go to taco Mac almost ever week recently(2-3 months) and I used to be a frequent customer at the Milton/alpharetta location. But I hate to say every single time I have been to this taco Mac I've had less than acceptable service. Sorry taco Mac I still love you but please train your servers better. Update: 10/1/2014 We asked the host for a good server. We sat with Josh and it was the best service we've had so far. Prompt drinks and attention. The food got alittle wrong but it was the kitchen not our server. A friend and I talked a the manager who was very nice and willing to listen to what we had to say. We will continue to be customers here and sit with Josh when he is available the manager ensured that we they were working on training their servers more and hiring more staff. Thank you taco mac for awesome food and beer. Will look forward to the improvements upon our next visit. read more

Stopped in for late dinner this evening. Ordered appetizer and two meals along with drinks. Server was pleasant. Started off great, drinks served promptly. Waitress soon returned to explain they were out of the appetizer due to heavy sales the prior day. Asked if we would like to select another appetizer. Not a problem, we get it. Ordered second choice. Five minutes later our dinner arrives, no appetizer. We are looking at each other and 75 seconds later the second choice appetizer arrives. My companion asks them to take it back. The person serving us (not our waitress) says she can explain and my companion says "Don't bother, we don't want it now." Server states again, "Let me explain...". "No, don't explain, just take it back and take if off the bill, we don't want it now." The server then says "I am not your waitress, but I know what happened and I am going to explain anyway!" Companion (now irritated): "NO. Don't really want to hear it, we don't want it now, take it back." Server: "I am going to tell you ANYWAY what happened..". Companion" "Please get your manager." Server "Oh my GOD you are SO RUDE!." 1) The original waitress never came back to the table although she was well aware of what happened; no spine and bad customer service skills. One word from her could have made it better. 2) Manager(?) came up and smiled and asked how we were doing. I told her it had been a long night and we just wanted to get some "to go" boxes and would leave. The response was she wanted to explain to us what happened (again - as if these folks don't understand we really REALLY did not care for an explanation, just let us eat the flipping dinner in peace). We didn't have much of a choice, we were going to have to suffer through the explanation. Manager(?) -Paraphrased-: "The waitress went ahead and placed the dinner order when she found out that the appetizer was not available, and then asked you if you wanted another appetizer in its place after that!" Me (thinking): "No f*ing sh*t Sherlock." 3) I asked for to go boxes, explained that it had been a long day but I had now lost my appetite, that I did not like being told that we were rude when in fact the woman had been told at least three times that we did not want an appetizer after the main course was served and did not really care what happened, did now want to hear it, that appetizers should come before the main course and that her staff should be able to figure this out and how to manage it. Restaurant 101. The real issue is that they should have just let us eat in peace and served us as good paying customers. Not the case. I don't think they care at all about the paying client. We could see the staff laughing in the background, they thought this funny. I didn't even bother 2waiting for change I was so ticked. I am sure the bubble heads that served me are laughing and think they are doing wonderful service in this industry. In my view, epic fail. FWIW I am 58 years old and have been going to Taco Mac since I was a teen and first visited Virginia Highlands location in the late '70s. My name is Stuart. I will not waste my hard earned money at this place again. Addendum: After writing the review (3+ hrs post-restaurant visit) I tried to eat some of the food and just realized that the wings we were served (we requested medium) are fried have NO wing sauce on them at all. WTF? read more

Love the beer selection! I also love the point system for brew university. Wings are always good but the "Hollywood" sandwich subsituted to be wrapped is beyond amazing! read more

From first to worst....This use to be our favorite sports bar in the area. They had great food, cold beer and friendly service for years. The food and service continue to go down hill. I was a bartender for about a decade and a restaurant really has to go out of their way to provide bad service before I find a flaw or complain. This place easily takes the worst service award in Canton and maybe Atlanta. We went from visiting this place two times a week to no longer visiting at all. The continuous changes to current menu items, poor service and lengthy food wait times (even when the restaurant is empty) make this place my least favorite place to eat in Canton. I'm convinced this place survives only because of the huge tables of little league teams and the dozens/hundreds of beer taps. This restaurant is bad but I'm completely baffled by the corporate chains constant changes (for the worse) to the menu. I would have loved to sit in on the meeting in which they thought it was a good idea to change the best and juiciest hamburger in Atlanta to the burger they current serve. The decision had to be a financial because it sure had nothing to do with taste.. read more

Cold fries without ANY seasoning of any kind. No water refills for those of us not drinking. Will not be back

I understand why the ratings are so low. This place is terrible. Why would you seat someone at a table where the sun is directly in their eyes and then tell them by the way the blinds don't work. read more

Very spacious, clean and the staff was friendly. As you can tell by my other reviews, I love food. So I swing by for a late lunch or early dinner. read more

I've never thought Taco Macs good was that great, yet I still always find myself there. The beer selections are great and it is a fun place to hang out with friends and watch sports on the TVs. Great beer selection. Food seems to be hit or miss. It's never really bad, just meh. But sometimes it's really good. Service is always friendly and the atmosphere is great, that's one of the reasons we keep going back. read more

Service was terrible! Waitress left us sitting for 30 mins before bringing our drink order. Our food arrived before our waitress brought our drinks. She seems very unhappy with her job. And has a very bad attitude. read more

My 5 start rating is only because Amber is the best server they have. They often have mistakes. For example 5 out of 6 wings making it too the table or often out of popular beers on draft. Either way we return only on days Amber works. I am sure there are other great servers, we just haven't had them the past 5-6 years we have been coming to this location. read more

Had a Togo order when I opened it there was barely any food in the containers so I stopped the next day and talked to a manager and he said there should have been more and asked for my receipt so he could refund my credit card. Well that was 10 days ago and never got a refund on my credit card. The food was poor quality on top of being very little. read more

I prefer this Taco Mac to the one on 92, probably because I've never been sat indoors at the 92 location. I can't tolerate smoke and when I must sit outside I tend to get a sore throat within the following hours. That being said I've always had comfortable times at this particular location. My waitresses have been great, and I'm a pretty hard judge on service. Note to those that enjoy their thursday pint nights: go the first Thursday if possible, they have run out of the special glasses before. I went on 12-8-11 and I mentioned the beer of the month and asked if they had any glasses left. Our waitress said they were low the last time she checked but would check. So she did, checked my ID and went to the back, shortly returning with sad news that they were out. All was well since she had me a water to tide me over until she confirmed that they were out. Best part was she didn't prematurely charge me for anything. In fact! The kitchen pumped out an extra grilled cheese for another table and she offered it to us free of charge. Sometimes things just work out. :) As usual. Great beer selection, different beer of the month selections. By different I mean a bit unique, no coors or bud light. They have some great beers on tap, I mean Dogfish Head, Sweet Water and Terrapin. Yes please. And a good selection of bottles as well. Next time I'll sit at the bar and see how their bartenders are. All in all it's a good place to relax with a couple pals, usually on a weeknight if you want more relaxing though. For the high energy times hit up a Friday or Saturday during football season... I'm a hockey fan however, and they even change the channel for me. Great. 4 stars for the service I've received, food is the usual bar/sports bar fare. Nothing incredible, but I can always find something pleasing. read more

So I took my dad here for his birthday. Since he normally loves taco mac. Boy was that a mistake. We get seated and wait for our waitress. couple minutes go by she finally shows up. takes our order and disappears for awhile. Comes back with drinks and hot queso. She decides to get a steaming hot plate of queso right in front of my 1 year old almost in her face and leaves. My dad had to quickly grab my daughters hands so she didn't scald herself while I pull it away. again awhile goes by and no waitress really stayed this way the whole time. we saw her like 2-3 times and she did not care at all. on top of that she brought our food which was chicken nachos and i had asked her before what was on top. never mentioned guacamole which my dad and i can't eat. so i had to wipe it off with a napkin since we were starving she just glared at me and left again. didn't even listen to me when i was trying to see if they could remake it since even after wiping it off it was all over the chicken. it got so bad we had to ask the manager in store for help. which he was great got us boxes and to go drinks. so we left food was terrible and service even worse. My dad even tried to call in and whoever he spoke to just said oh okay and hung up on him like they didn't even care. I feel horrible this was my dads birthday dinner and the first of his birthdays my daughter got to spend with him. What makes this even worse is we love taco mac and normally have a great time here. this experience though was one of the worst we've ever had and left such a sour taste in our mouths. read more

Terrific place for casual dining and a fun atmosphere! I love the salads, they are always crispy and fresh. The wings, well, awesome and large come close to my best description. On Wednesday's they have Beef n Weck...I do believe that Taco Mac's is as good as in Buffalo, Ny! So tasty. I also always get the Queso Cheese Dip to share, no need to fight over it, they give you plenty. This is one of my favorite Canton restaurants. Clean, Fresh, Good and Fun. read more

Slooooow service. No silverware at table took 45 min to get food. When it did come out it was cool and wrong. I guess they figure if they can get you drink enough of there 100 different beers you won't care that there food sucks. read more

What can I say... It's Taco Mac. It's our goto wing joint. Beer and wings, and they do them both well. Nice clean place and the service is normally pretty good. We have had some slow service in the past, but that's usually when they are packed. The staff is always friendly and offer up advice on beer choices with samples. I learn something new every time I go there. The food is your traditional bar food, and as I said earlier it's our goto wing joint. They tend to be nice and large with a very tasty wing sauce. I really haven't had anything bad there. I like their fish tacos and their burgers aren't bad either. I've never really had to wait too long for a seat, but we tend to go rather early 6 ish. They have TVs galore like most Taco Mac's and pretty much every game you want to see will be on somewhere in the joint. Just a really nice place that we visit often. read more

Winner winner chicken dinner. Wings were so Good! Hot buffalo with a side of sweet sesame is where it is at! Service was spot on too! read more

Ah, I have a feeling we had the same server as Adrian did... He was so confused, I almost felt bad for the guy. He messed up our orders, messed up our checks, charged me for the drink I didn't have and for the sauce that had to come with the order. All this fun took about an hour... Oh, just to make it a bit more interesting... There were 8 of us... 8 adults. You know those round tables in the bar section... Well, when we walked in, one of the girls started putting 8 charis around that table... I mean... We are close, but we are NOT THAT close! When we said we weren't going to sit at the kiddie table she couldn't understand what the problem was. All-n-all.... the food was ok, the service is a whole different story... I'll probably go back eventually, but for now all this drama is still too fresh in my mind.... read more

Staff and service has declined in the last year at this location. We used to dine here several times a month, now maybe once a month.

We love Taco Mac wings, and their beer selection is always great! We have a cupboard full of glasses received on pint nights (Thursday nights). This location is our favorite by far. We have a server that always takes care of us well. We have special orders, but he always remembers them to a tee. We have noticed in several T.m. locations the tendency to get cold food (especially fries.) The Cumming location is the worst for this. Here in Canton it has happened only twice, (out of many many visits) and both times we got fresh hot food quickly afterward, and the manager discounted our meals for the trouble. Bottom line: food is great, beer selection is great. Speak up to ensure your food is hot. read more

I've never had good food at any Taco Mac. But, it's "bar food" I suppose. They have a pretty awesome beer selection, however, ALL of the taps have been swapped over to a nitrous system, rather than the typical CO2. That makes the beer taste flat and nasty in my opinion. So now I just get whatever I want from the bottles. Also, this place is sort of a family sports bar place during the day, yet, they play stripper booty bass music all day long. They sell Aventinus, so I have to go there. lol read more

Love Taco Mac and the Canton, GA location didn't disappoint! I had the new catfish tacos and a Dry County IPA (Fairly Local) and both were fantastic. Funny name but great food. I had the broasted wings, sauce variety good, tried the hot, had a bit of a kick might have to try the Three Mile Island next time. The homemade blue cheese dressing is really, really good. Ordered Grilled Chicken nachos, took way to long to get them, not sure the issue but the manager comp'd the nachos. I hope the server learns that commination goes along way in making customers satisfied. If she had simply told us the situation we might not have asked for the manager. read more

Yep, I have been here before and I keep coming back because the beer menu and the food menu can't be beat for the price. This place could have an amazing atmosphere if the tuned up the wait staff and chefs/cooks. We had a party of 5 go in around 5:30pm on a Thursday so there were plenty of tables and very large booths available. We were seated as soon as we walked through the door by a not so speedy hostess. That was fine. Then shortly after we chose a clean large booth our waiter stopped in. We asked if we could get one of the "cool looking" drinks off the menu but non-alcoholic. He looked at us like we asked for something impossible. (Also, There's a huge menu of draft beers for any beer lover) He left our table as if we were going to ask the bartender to create the cocktail but never returned. After a few minutes, a waitress returned and asked what we'd like to drink as we looked over the menu. Apparently the waiter was close to his shift end and wanted to leave (but we saw him sit at another booth, order a beer and food then sat there the entire time we were there for dinner) Our waitress lacked personality and enthusiasm, very monotone for wait staff. The burgers were "okay", chicken strips were dry but tasty and the chicken fajitas were good. I had to reorder the shells as they were dry but the chicken was tender. Fries were also dried out. No quality behind their food or staff really. I don't like to write negative reviews. If you're not looking for outstanding service and food, this place is "okay" but I wouldn't go out of my way to go there with company unless we just wanted so-so finger food and a large selection of beer. You would think after all the negative reviews, something drastically would change. I see the managers replied to most of the reviews so they are aware of the situation. read more
