The chicken was juicy but terribly under seasoned. They are arrogant enough not to have salt and pepper shakers on the table, so I had to request them. If you could offer those fantastic Old Fashioned waffles before, why on earth would you serve these boring ones now? I feel they are going for quantity over quality these days; the portion size was very large. My tequila sunrise was bitter and not at all sweet, but how can I tell my server that after watching the bartender take several minutes to "craft" it? Supposedly the best place to eat for breakfast at Dayton. Verdict: Not a great place. Not worth going. They emphasize too much on being a foo foo place that they sacrifice portion and taste. My friend steak was overcooked. And it took another 25 minutes before getting a new one after sending it back. The manager Toya was not too concerned that other people is getting their food. I guess there is no reason to fast track a food that get sent back. They fail miserably on other dishes that is not signature dishes. Table 33 is an awesome spot in Dayton and it's really one of a kind here. They serve breakfast and brunch along with lunch and dinner. Their lunch and dinner menus seem to be basically the same, as I've ordered the same items at both meals. I think their breakfast and brunch is what they do the best. I've tried just about everything on their brunch menu and everything is great and I would order it again. They also have a full bar which can be hard to find for other brunch locations in the area. Unless you're at the bar, everything is ordered at the front counter and then delivered to your table. The only reason I give this four rather than five stars is because their menu is a little on the small side, though everything on it is very good. I definitely recommend the spot and I frequently return, especially for brunch when their weather is nice and I can sit outside! read more

Dear Husband and I dined at Table 33 last night, with reservations for 6 on a Saturday evening. The food was outstanding, hence the 5*. The ambiance was city casual --sophisticated casual in other words. The service was somewhat slow and inattentive, but still friendly and adequate. We needed to request our small water glasses be refilled and had moderate difficulty getting our waiter's attention to pay our bill. These were minor annoyances but if you have theater tickets you may want to let them know that when you are seated.... The real joy was the food. My DH had the glazed 8oz hanger steak with frites. Outstanding--very tasty. DH ordered medium...it veered toward medium rare which I prefer. The fries were perfect--as they were on our other visit to Table 33, medium cut, lightly crispy on the outside and pillowy on the inside. The fries are one of the reasons we chose this restaurant last night. We have never tasted any better. The plate must have been warmed too because the fries came out hot and stayed warm until devoured. Since we had the Mac and cheese appetizer (and I planned to help myself to some of DH's dinner) I decided to order light--the table salad. It was a creative combination with roasted locally grown beets and cauliflower accenting the arugula in a tasty lemon vinaigrette -- delicious and super fresh. Then I had to ask our nice waiter to describe the dessert cake options. I don't remember what he said that made us order the chocolate fudge cake but are so glad we did. Again--it was the best chocolate cake we had ever tasted and usually my own is considered the best ever. It is big enough for two chocolate lovers to share. Great eats, creative cocktails and fun atmosphere! Music can be loud; I was enjoying it but my husband thought it was too loud.

Mom and I went here for an afternoon lunch when I was in town. Ample meters or there is a garage right across the street to park. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. We choose to sit inside. The decor is super cool and has a modern feel. There is a bar and many people were sitting near there. I love farm to table scratch cooking!! Okay on to the food- Delicious!! I got the advocado tacos and the my mom got the hamburger. The tacos although small were packed with flavor. I tried the hamburger and it was seasoned to perfection. It came with home made chips. For desert we had the Italian Almond cake- it was gluten free and very moist and flavorful. I highly recommend this restaurant if you enjoy scratch cooking and trying new culinary flavors. read more

It's my last 3 months living in Dayton so I'm visiting all the places I never tried. Table 33 is inside of a large office-like building, with decor more modern than I expected for a "farm to table" restaurant. I ordered the chicken and waffles and it was AMAZING! The second best I've ever had (first still goes to a place in Nashville). I felt like the chicken could be eaten as it's own meal, and I'm not normally one for being excited about fried chicken. My only gripe would be the service. It took close to 20 minutes to get out checks, and that was after waiting quite a while to ask for them. I was meeting a friend for our belated Christmas exchange and catch-up so it wasn't a huge problem, but I can imagine this being annoying if I had someplace else to go afterwards. read more

This was my first visit, the place was cute and I loved the atmosphere. We went for Cinco de Mayo and had their house margaritas, churro waffle and several of their tacos. The churro waffle was amazing!! I mean I'd seriously go back just for this, the only disappointing part was that I had to share it. The taco filling was very good but my corn shells were tough/not warm, I do think this could have been due to the busyness and would try them again! I gave three stars only because our service was disappointing. I'm pretty laid back but we waited over a half an hour for water after asking a couple different times. Our tacos took a long time to come out (which we understood given the day), but then a couple of people in our party didn't get theirs and it took another 30 minutes for them to come out. I was excited to meet up with some friends to try Table 33 as a new option for our Saturday Brunch adventures. Here's the breakdown on my experience: Space: 5/5 - Very modern and fresh atmosphere with bar seating and small tables lining the walls. Inviting, open space. Definitely a younger crowd here with a hipster vibe. But I dig it. Parking: 2/5 - I can't fault the restaurant on this completely, but they chose a spot without a private parking lot, which I understand a lot of downtown restaurants don't have this option, however I spent nearly 20 minutes circling for a street spot before even going inside after not one but TWO parking garages closest to the restaurant were closed. Not sure if there was something going on, but I ended up finding a spot a few blocks away and was uncomfortable walking by myself the entire time, even on Saturday mid-morning. Food: 4/5 - You'll find a variety of breakfast, lunch, and cocktail offerings on the menu. Our bartender recommended the Chicken & Waffles as his favorite dish. I'd scoured the menu online long before I ever arrived at Table 33 and was set on trying the Brunch Tacos with steak. Perhaps I should have gone with the bartender's suggestion. I love street style bit sized tacos and got excited to see these Brunch Tacos presented as a trio of three with steak, scrambled eggs, queso fresca, and jalapeno cream on made to order corn tortillas. Meh.....sounded great, but disappointed in the lack of flavor. I love the concept of farm-to-table here, but this meal in particular fell short for my expectations. The rest of the gals in our group felt the same, good not great meals. Value: 3/5 - I'm also for paying more for high quality meal. To me, the food did not justify the bill at Table 33. The Brunch Tacos I mentioned were 2-3 bite tacos. I was fine with the portion size, but don't expect to get full on that if you are hungry (I had to sample the quiche, muffins, and grilled cheese from the other plates in my group, both to try and to get full). My bill for Brunch Tacos, a drink (brunch - the acceptable time to have a morning cocktail!), and tip was nearly $30. Hard for me justify spending that on an okay jazzed up breakfast. My overall rating would be 3.5 stars, so I will generously round it up to 4. I'm told the menu constantly changes so perhaps we'll try again in a couple months. Stopped in for brunch for the first time today, with a friend of mine. We both love culinary adventures, and are always looking for a new place in Dayton. Walked in and was immediately impressed with the size of the space. They have tons of room for a busy and lunch (and hopefully one day, a fancy dinner service). We sat ourselves and our server greeted us with a friendly smile within no time! The Decor is clean, open, and relaxing. They had music playing, and seemed to have a casual atmosphere, which was perfect for brunch. They have a cocktail and juice menu. And a brunch list consisting of different kinds of tacos, chicken and waffles, and chopped salads. What I like about this place is they are friendly to gluten intolerant and vegans, which is important at this day in age in the food scene. I had the brunch tacos, 2 with steak and one with chorizo chicken, and my friend had their chicken and waffles, with a jalapeño blueberry butter. Set in the heart of downtown Dayton this small restaurant has a unique vibe. You walk up and order from a cashier station. The menu is posted on the wall in easy to read fashion. The selections are few but ranged from soup and salad to tacos and burgers. I chose the carnitas tacos my wife had the grass fed burger. I added a cup of soup since it sounded right up my alley (potato leek). After paying they give you a number to put on the table of your choice and they bring you your food when ready. The inside was a little noisy with music so we chose to sit outside. The food took about 15 minutes to come out but was hot and looked great. The soup was garnished with fresh arugula and homemade croutons. The tacos were 3 soft corn tortillas in a stainless taco holder. The burger was on a nice brioche bun and had the usual fixings. The fries my wife ordered were fresh and tasty and came with homemade ketchup. The ketchup was different from ordinary bottled stuff and we both enjoyed it. Overall the food was great but over priced. The portion of tacos was a little small for the price and the burger should have included the fries for the price but other than that I was pretty pleased with the meal. I probably would try another restaurant if back in the area but was happy that I tried this one this time. read more

Came for dinner on a weekend. So disappointing. Ordered the cauliflower starter, trout dip, burger, and salmon w/pasta. The cauliflower was awful. It was roasted on the outside but the inside was completely raw. The trout dip was average at best, but it's served with literal saltine crackers. The burger was average. The fries that came with the burger were probably the best thing we had. The salmon was cooked well, but it was under seasoned and the pasta it came with was extremely bland as well. A lot of the good reviews seem to be related to breakfast dishes so maybe that's better, but the dinner was shockingly bad. And the bill came to $75 for two people for one starter, two drinks, and two entrees. As a side note, they charge $17 for a Manhattan...in Dayton, OH. The average Manhattan in Manhattan doesn't even cost $17. On a positive note, the interior is trendy and the staff is friendly. read more

For brunch, their fresh squeezed juices for mimosas make all the difference and their chicken chorizo hash is so tasty - hearty but not heavy. For dinner/happy hour you can't go wrong with a Dayton Derby or their killer margarita. The mezze plate, truffle fries or the Brussels sprouts are perfect for sharing and delicious. Went to Taco Tuesday last night at Table 33, and WOW, what a great dinner experience! This was my first visit and I, as well as my dinner guests, will absolutely be going back again and again. First of all, as a downtown dweller it was fantastic to see the place full! The Raspberry Thyme margs were really good -- and the best part is they are not from crappy commercial bottle mix, but rather they made their OWN in house from fresh ingredients! That is special to say the least. We had the Nachos (large enough for a table of 8) and the Taco Special we were all overwhelmed with the quality and uniqueness of the ingredients. The tacos had coffee rubbed beef tenderloin...simply divine. The Nachos had pork belly, a wonderful lime avocado concoction, arugula pesto, pickled and green onion, and a lot of love! Then there was dessert -- key lime pie that is made onsite. Again, it was fantastic. Can't say enough about the food and the drinks. Service was just as great and the owner is clearly loves the business, the people and ensuring customers have great food and a great time ! I cannot wait to go back for brunch! Keep it up! This is solely a rating for a post-activity place to stop in for a drink. I would not recommend it as the space is just pretty tight for large crowds, which is pretty typical downtown. Draft beer selection is pretty good, they always have ~6-8 and can options, for $3.33 during Happy Hour is a good deal and a good reason to stop in after work. I hope to dine in soon for an actual meal, as the food looks delicious, but the price point is just too high for an appetizer or causal setting. read more

The staff made me feel like a VIP! Me and a friend celebrated my birthday brunch here and I'm so glad we did. The staff was super friendly, introduced themselves and had such a great positive spirit about them. I have NEVER been to a restaurant with such an attentive staff as Table 33. I am so impressed. We decided to give Table 33 a try before our show at The Schuster tonight & I'm so glad we did!! The atmosphere is wonderful , with light jazz playing in the background.
