We grabbed dinner before seeing the musical, The Wiz, and it was the perfect start to our night. I went with my mom, wife, and mother-in-law, and the cozy vibe really set us up for a great evening. The drinks were good and fried brie cheese were quick to arrive The food was awesome all around. The risotto was super rich and comforting, the salmon was cooked perfectly, and the New York Strip steak was tender cooked medium-rare with that smooth, tasty puree, was definitely on point. I tried the crab cake on noodles, which was a nice surprise and packed with flavor. For dessert, the espresso creme brulee was amazing, so creamy with just enough espresso, and the perfect pre-show treat Tyler took such good care of us from beginning to end. He was attentive, friendly, and on top of everything. Totally recommend it, and we'll for sure be back!!

Great group luncheon for end of year celebration. We ordered a variety of salads to share as well as hand cut fries to start all of the salads were freshly made and flavorful steak, chicken Caesar, beets. Plus we all loved the blueberry hibiscus tea - delicious. Then we enjoyed their classic grilled cheese & tomato soup, the patty melt, chicken wrap They have so many choices & a few finished with dessert. I wished I took more photos but we're enjoying the food so much. Great service & only place downtown which takes lunch reservations. A Dayton classic Coco's Bistro .

Fabulous! We went out for a birthday and the whole experience was great. it's a very nice looking restaurant inside and the food was great! If nothing else go for the fried Brie... WOW! 5 star appetizer there. The chicken entree was also delicious, fall off the bone. Another great Dayton spot to try!

One of Dayton's best date night spots. No reservation on a Saturday night and still seated right away in the bar area. Inside is very open and spacious so you don't feel like you're dining with the people next to you. Drinks were great as was the food. Serving sizes were great and flavor was on point. Salad was a great size and a great price. Salmon was fresh and fries were cooked to perfection. Will definitely be back.

Very elegant restaurant that offers assorted appetizers and tasty entrees! I ordered the steak, which was cooked perfectly medium rare. I also tried some asparagus, house salad, fish on bread, savory olives, and a chocolate tart dessert. The servers were kind and continued to check in on the table. It's an elevated atmosphere that is perfect for a nice dinner.

I ordered a take out salmon. One side is burnt. The salmon is not fresh.

I ordered a take out. The salmon is burnt and not fresh. The appetizer is not good the bread is too salty and hard.

    Smoked Salmon Dip

It was my 50th birthday and my family surprised me which was a nice surprise! The smoked salmon dip was good, but a bug ended up in it! There was no offer to replace it or anything! I let it go though, it was my birthday lol! Then my risotto came out and I was so disappointed! It looked like the sweet potatoes were frozen then microwaved and thrown in the dish! The dish wasn't appetizing nor aesthetically appealing! There was No flavor at all for this dish! It was as if the chef decided to play with the food and it did not matter what it tasted like! Since I wasn't enjoying the dish I then ordered the smoked half chicken, chipotle - honey glaze, roasted broccolini, smoked gouda cheese pommes purée and the chicken was bruised and inedible! The sides were good, but It's like a badly bruised piece of chicken was cooked and served! Totally unacceptable! I'm not talking about myoglobin or the red rings from smoking or roasting meat either!! The spot was black to the bone as if it was damaged before it was cooked! Needless to say my appetite was gone!! Staying in the spirit of my birthday, I ordered a dessert after being encouraged by my loving family and when I put my fork into the cake it was dry and lacked flavor! It was covered in a glaze and it was still crumble dry! So my experience wasn't the best for a first visit! The service wasn't terrible but our server didn't offer much of any empathy or even suggestions on what's best to try! Not the best first experience! The ambiance was nice though! Maybe I'll try it again one day, probably not though! Needless to say, the highlight of this experience was my family and the cute pictures we took afterwards!

Definitely recommend reservations...they were quite busy on a Saturday night. When we walked in, we were led to a comfy corner booth. The decor inside was simple, yet elegant. Our booth was a cushy, soft, almost couch. We loved it! Loved the gray color palette and industrial/modern look as well. Our waiter, Jason, was fantastic and attentive all night. The menu is limited, which is good! You know they actually make the food on site versus defrosting. We started with some drinks. The summer breeze(?) cocktail was yummy and sweet. They also had a fantastic wine selection. We went with the fried Brie appetizer. It was so good paired with the crusty bread. For our main we had shrimp fettuccine and spaghetti and meatballs. So good! Be prepared, the prices were a little high, but definitely worth a trip downtown. We had a great night!

What a great hidden gem just outside of downtown Dayton!! Beautiful atmosphere but not upright. Servers were friendly and knowledgeable. I had the shrimp linguine and it was so good! The ginger cake was divine!!! Give this place a try!

We received a gift card to Coco's so gave it a try for dinner during the week. It was surprisingly crowded for being a Monday evening, but we were seated without a wait. The menu wasn't as big as I was expecting, and I thought it was funny that the drink options take up about 60% of the menu page. I tried the burger, as our server said it was one of the best in the city, and my SO got the brisket. The food didn't live up to the hype. My burger was pretty average, and the roasted garlic aoli became lost in the boursin cheese. The brisket was below average, and in hindsight, this was a terrible choice considering Coco's isn't a BBQ restaurant. It also came out lukewarm which was disappointing. Overall glad we tried it, but don't think we'll be back. On a positive note, the service was great, and our server Anthony did a wonderful job.

I was invited to a Birthday Brunch here at Coco and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. We had a great menu of chicken and waffles, eggs, shrimp and grits, collard greens and brisket. The service was amazing and the brisket was even better. The ambience was upscale.

The rice wasn't cooked properly so it was hard. I wanted to like this dish more...I think the traditional pairing of short rib w mashed potatoes would have been better) -Deviled eggs (3/5; these are mixed w avocado which makes them unique. A favorite for brunch, we booked dinner for a Friday night. Phenomenal experience celebrating the holidays with a small group of family and friends. We already loved Table 33 for lunch or brunch, but had never experienced their dinner menu.... Now, it's our favorite Dayton-area restaurant for any meal, snack, or cocktail. (Do not sleep on their wine list though, fabulous assortment and available for retail purchase) Friday night dinner reservations and we were floored with the recent dining room updates - including new dining venues off a hallway, each with its own unique decor (including a unique chandelier in each) and a truly decadent and unexpectedly private environment. Seating for 4 and above in the varying spaces. After dinner, we booked the guaranteed add-on table reservation at the adjacent venue, 'The Dessert Room'. A well-appointed room with a European decor and upbeat music settles you in for a delightful list of desserts, from gelato and macarons to pies and cakes, and a nice coffee, port, wine, or cocktail menu. The service is amazing. The food and cocktails, phenomenally good. The venue? Truly gorgeous. The owner is reinventing another adjacent property next to 'The Dessert Room', currently a mix of a Mexican fare (bowls, burritos) and tequila. Previously a coffee shop, interested to see what it ends up being to tie these venues together.

Today's adventure brought us to Chef Danes first restaurant, a global comfort food diner called Culture. Culture is a pleasant, if a bit noisy at times, visceral experience of its namesake. The menu full of unique yet familiar dishes and ideas Invites one's culinary curiosity yet doesn't become unapproachable. On a different day I would have tried their Louisiana catfish, but today Patrick and I were on a mission. The specials were calling. Patrick and I have been trying to slowly become part of the Dayton community and Patrick's new job at Little Fish (a nearby bar and restaurant) has propelled us to dive further into our exploration. Patrick was made aware of Cultures new specials, a Thai cheesesteak and chicken tikka masala fries. We had to try them. So on this crisp and cold mid spring afternoon we decided to become cultured. First off we got the Chicken Tikka Masala Fries and we were quite impressed. I'm not the most familar with British Indian food (maybe a bit more than the average midwesterner but not by much) and the fries definitely brought a pleasant experience that Patrick an I enjoyed...but we didn't finish all of it at once. We saw a glimpse of what was to come and we didn't want to eat to fast and fill up to much. The picture I took does not do the Thai cheesesteak justice. It just had a certain presence coming off of the kitchen. We were sitting at the bar watching it all unfold for the most part and the smell was subtle yet hypnotizing. we finished maybe 3/5ths of the fries and waited for the sandwich. Once it got to use I cut it in half, Took as good of a pic as I could, Gave Patrick his half, And dug in. It might have been a bit too hot resulting in me burning my tongue but the flavor was encompassing. I could taste all the elements coming together in such a unique groove. Could be chalked up to just a damn good cheesesteak, they tend to illicit similar responses, but still. The first words out of my mouth after finishing that first bite were "holy shit". I then maybe finished the sandwich a bit fast but I couldn't help my self, i had to have it. It was so damn good. Well worth trying while they have it. To say anymore would spoil the experience. Anyway, I've rambled enough. I encourage you try Culture for yourself! Thank you. Drew, from Dayton
