Phil's Ribeye (Taken after some has been eaten)!
    Donyale S.

I was looking for somewhere that had good steaks. When I googled steakhouses in Hamilton, Coach House was at the top. I had never heard of it and but it did pique my interest so I decided to make a reservation and go for it. Upon arrival, I realized it's nestled in a quaint assisted living village. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Walking into the building I wallowed in the simple yet elegant, romantic decor. This was a date night for me so the aura of the locale added to the atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My fiancé and I started with a glass of wine and the Caprese Flatbread topped with sun-dried tomatoes. It was a very generous proportion definitely made for sharing. (Photo taken after some of it had already been eaten). For the main entree, he ordered the Phil's Ribeye. A 14oz ribeye with baked potato and carrots. He ate half with the intent on saving the rest for the next day but ended up eating it all because it was that delicious. I ordered the High Hats, two croissant sandwiches, both were very tasty. (I was so wrapped in conversation, I forgot to take pics of my food). However I could not wait to order dessert. They had my favorite, crème brûlée. It was so delicate and decadent; highly recommend. Overall, if you're looking for a high end, classy night but at reasonable prices. the Coach House is sure to please. 10/10

We had a fine dining experience here on Saturday. Arrived about 10 to 5 and were lucky to get seated as they were all booked up with dinner reservations. Happily they found us a booth in the tavern dining room. It's bright and beautiful inside, vaulted ceiling with skylights and a fancy chandelier. Fireplace too. Attractive and comfortable bar. Tables had little fresh flower vases and electric candles. Service was excellent, questions were answered, food arrived promptly. Waitstaff were attentive without being overbearing. We felt welcome and appreciated. We started with the arancini, very tasty and creamy with an interesting take on marinara. Fresh shaved parmesan on the plate was nice. My husband loved the filet, which was cooked perfect medium rare. Edible flower garnish. He was also pleased with the well-cooked, tender vegetable medley. I wanted something lighter so I had the mini croissant duo, one of each filling. Tuna salad was fine, nothing special, but the chicken salad was dee-lish. It had a kind of fruity sweetness which balanced the meat nicely. Potato dippers- oh my, like a very thin steak fry. Lightly crispy outside and just melting within. Addicting, be warned. I also added a cup of chili that was spicy and flavorful and loaded with meat. The location....there is a big sign for Coach House on Washington Blvd. where you turn in and drive straight down till the road ends in a cul de sac, restaurant to your left. It seemed to me that available parking was not abundant, but there might be a back entrance. We did not explore that. It was definitely different, driving several blocks through a private and very upscale community to get here but I'm glad we did! Hope to come again and will definitely make a reservation.

Okay! I loved this place. I will tell you, it was weird going into this place. It's hard to find for sure. And it's in a retirement community! Yes, a retirement community. This of course didn't bother me and nor should it bother you. The food, service and cocktails were very good. The restaurant was playing 50s/60s music which was a little loud but not over bearing, the restaurant was very clean. I got the pork chop and it was cooked perfectly. It was very tasty. The mashed potatoes were good. The only thing I didn't like were my green beans. In this places defense, I am very particular about my green beans. My wife got the Gatsby Cesar salad which she absolutely loved! She said there were so many different flavors that complimented each other very well. Dessert- the house made peanut butter pie was perfect. Not too sweet. I couldn't even get a picture because it was gone so quick. We will be going back to this place for sure! Don't be fooled by the retirement community. SERIOUSLY!

Awesome service! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Love the ambiance[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and food tasted amazing!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice and clean restrooms.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I am happy to say I gave Coach House a second chance, and I'm glad that I did! In the past 2-3 months I have attended 2 cocktail classes there and had several meals there with friends and family. The food and cocktails have been delicious. The service has been prompt and friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The bar area and outdoor seating section is always inviting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you are looking for a hidden gem, check out Coach House. You will not be disappointed!

Certainly a step up from the previous restaurant. The food is excellent and the restaurant itself is very versatile.

You can either walk through the gun center or enter at the rear / side of the building. Either way it is a bit of a walk so could be a concern for anyone with mobility issues. I was surprised that there were not any disabled parking spots close to the side entrance. It's a large lounge, upscale and beautifully decorated though does not have an intimate feel. Majority of seating is tables vs. bar. The cocktail menu is unique and fun, with the different drinks named after famous and infamous gunslingers. I had a Baby Face Nelson which was attractive and delicious. At first I though it was a little weak but towards the end it hit with a bang (see what I did there). I also took advantage of the ladies night menu and got a $5 cucumber mint G&T. The cocktail pricing is what you'd expect, ranging from $12 to $16. The wine list is not extensive and I would not describe this as a wine bar. But, I would come here seeking a fancy cocktail anyway. No food served, but door dash menus are available and there is also a limited menu for direct delivery from the Indian restaurant across the road. The outdoor patio looks nice. We were there on the earlier side, around 5 PM on a weekday. Service was pretty attentive with only one waitress handling the tables. I think if they found a way to serve some simple appetizers and put in a railing along the walkway from the parking lot to the door (thinking of my husband here) I'd give it five stars. They have a weird rule in that they insist on scanning your ID, regardless of age, up until 7 PM any day - this is so that no one who orders a drink can go next door and shoot (where they also scan IDs). The shooting range closes at 7 PM. So shoot first, drink later.

In addition to wine, they offer a selection of beer on tap and in bottles, and some mixed drinks. I noticed they even featured a local brewery. Ciao Vino offers wine by the glass or bottle. The wine selection is not extensive, but it does have a balanced selection of dry vs sweet and red vs white. The menu also includes a few light bites. We ordered a charcuterie. I was a little underwhelmed as to its content which interestingly enough included chocolate covered raisins. Our wines - glasses of Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Grigio - were served at a perfectly chilled temperature and very good. The prices are moderate. The staff were pleasant. This place has potential to be a great addition to the mix of establishments downtown. However, it could be enhanced by some added features such as: bottled wine displayed in store for purchase to take home, educational wine classes, wine flights accompanied by informative descriptions, and a rotating selection of weekly or monthly featured wines to add variety to the menu.

The charcuterie board had a good variety of cheeses, fruit, meat, crackers and chocolates! My only suggestion is that they dim the lights a bit. It would add a lot to the coziness.
