Yummy chips!
Ryan S.

This is a nice hotel bar. They offer free bees and well drinks Monday and Tuesdays 6-7. Then they have little snacks out. Also had live music on Tuesday which was cool. I ate here a few times during my stay. Went with the wraps, which were typical bar food, nothing to rave home about. I did see some folks get the chicken dishes and wedge salad and those looked much better than my wraps; maybe next time I'll spring for the larger dish. They offer a buffet in the morning that has an omelet station, then your usual breakfast food. The bacon is greasy and fantastic! I loaded up each morning on the bacon. Super good bacon! Service is a bit on the slow end, so you'll have to be patient.

Fun little restaurant in the Holiday Inn. A friendly bar tender and strong on drinks! Ordered their chicken wings and hoping they are as good as they say.

My favorite Indian food. Multiple options for online ordering and very simple. Chill vibes and very nice staff.

Side note: Whatever happened to the good ol' days when you walked into a store, grabbed a computer, paid, and left? Now it's a **seven-step Apple ritual**: 1 Find a computer 2 Make an appointment 3 Hope it exists 4 Wait 5 Wait more 6 Sell soul 7 Possibly donate blood, maybe a semen sample. Get it together, Apple. I survived the Apple Store -- despite being the **only guy without a man bun or wearing a toboggan indoors** -- and after selling my financial future, I needed **lunch and beer**. Preferably both. Immediately.Also... content doesn't write itself. ‍ Enter Beavercreek I know the usual suspects: Cheesecake Factory, Black Rock (when I want to *feel* wealthy), BJ's (my favorite), City Barbecue. But I wanted something **new**. Something **different**. Something that might **judge me less**. Yelp sent me spiraling. So many options near the Creek of Beavers . I briefly considered *The Last Queen*, but then remembered **we fought a war to escape England**. #Merica #Next And then I found it... **The Wandering Griffin Brewery & Pub**. First of all -- **Griffins**. Half lion. Half eagle. All attitude. Basically, the spirit animal of anyone ordering a beer flight at 11am. #TwelveStepProgram First Glance Right across from Wright State -- clearly targeting the college crowd and confused grandparents babysitting in bars. #IsawYou #BabyInABar **Beer Menu:** Large. If I wanted to clean up after myself, I'd eat at home with my **very capable air fryer**. But then I remembered... **I don't have elk, boar, bison, or wagyu in my freezer**. And I'm definitely not rich enough to casually eat Wagyu. So here we are. Beer Flight Review Because Apple-induced financial trauma requires alcohol. - Smooth Griffin Pilsner- Fruity, fizzy, borderline seltzer vibes. - Peace Pale Ale- Honoring the Dayton Peace Accords. Noble. Forgettable. - Don't Worry Be Hippie - I hate hippies... but this was my favorite. Irony tastes hoppy. - Winter Gold Lager - Fine. Existed. Left an aftertaste. Overall? Meh. I'll stick with my **BJ's Jeremiah Red**. The Beast Burger Experience Half-pound monster. Beer cheese. BBQ sauce. Blue cheese (which I forgot to remove and shockingly didn't hate). Bacon crumbles. Onion ring the size of a life preserver. Messy. Two hands. Napkins everywhere. Onion ring was . The meat? Honestly... I couldn't tell elk from boar from bison from wagyu -- but it was **good**, different, and worth stepping outside my comfort zone. Also salty. Deliciously salty. Hope your blood pressure is under control. #OrderLotsofBeer Final Thoughts Don't let the self-service scare you off. It's not terrible. Just... different. Lots of food. I wasn't able to finish my fries. If you know me, this is a lot - I'm a founding member of the clean plate club. Pricey? Yep. $30 later, I felt it. Service? Minimal. You see two people. After that, you're on your own, champ. Plenty of seating. Great for groups. Bring your checkbook. Let's Talk About the REAL Test... The Restroom Now, let's address the unsung hero of any dining experience, especially for a man pushing 50 who just crushed a long drive, a bottle of water, and a flight of beers. Yes... the restroom. Gentlemen, I'm happy to report that The Wandering Griffin passes the bathroom test with flying colors. The restroom was immaculate, which already puts it ahead of about 70% of establishments serving beer. Plenty of urinals -- no awkward waiting, no weird eye contact, no life choices being questioned. Just efficiency.

The bartenders were very friendly and made us feel welcome, as we were visiting the area for an event at the Air Force Museum. Mikey was great and kept our drinks flowing. We met a nice local couple there, Monty and Stephanie I believe were their names. We had a nice conversation with them about bourbon, as we are from Ky, and other libations. I played some Keno and also the pull-tabs. They also have a large selection of dart boards, pool tables, and a Skee-ball machine. We had already eaten dinner at MacKenzie River, but after a couple of hours there we ordered their cheeseball, which was excellent. Their other food offerings looked good too. I highly recommend stopping in here if you're ever in the Beavercreek area. They have a large selection of bourbon and craft beer. We will definitely be back the next time we are visiting the area.

The wings were perfectly breaded, crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. The porn sauce was excellent. When I mixed the porn sauce with the BBQ sauce I got the heat level I like. Service time was good. You order at the bar then wait, there is no wait staff, so order your drinks at the bar. You want more food or drinks go back to the bar. It's a popular bar so atmosphere was semi loud.
