I had high hopes based on reviews, but this was our least favorite winery stop of the day. The…read moreatmosphere was really lacking...no curb appeal outside, no ambiance inside- harsh (boring lighting) cheap decor, no music. The patio out back was almost painfully plain and open to look at- I feel like if they would invest some money they could give it a better vibe- but everything feels cheap. We ordered a glass of wine a little after 5 and all but three tables appeared available- around 5:30 the worker(owner?) showed us that our table had a (tiny-) paper on it saying it was reserved at 6pm. And asked us to move tables- when we looked all of the other EMPTY tables also had signs (and no people) saying they were also reserved for 6pm - anyhow- we quickly finished our glass of wine and left/ needless to say- not a very good experience- wouldn't return. On a positive note- the wine was decent.

Dayton Beer Co., is one of the very nice spots where that's possible. The taproom was cool even when the sidewalk outside felt like it was melting. The big windows brought in the bright summer light without the punishment of actually being out in it. I brought my laptop and with my nice seat in the back next to a power outlet, I was able to get things charged, enjoy a pint and sit in the air conditioning undisturbed. Their beer list looked like a good spread of guest beers and their own core beers. A draft Paulaner was my first choice but hey, I can get that anywhere. The light options included their own Gem City Light and that worked very nicely. The space works for solo time in the afternoon, but it could also work for a nice meet up with friends. There's plenty of room to spread out and not feel like you're crowding anyone. I sat for two hours and no one minded at all! Overall, it was an easygoing place to cool off, hydrate, and enjoy a well-made beer while waiting for the temperature to go down. [Review 775 of 2026 - 307 in Ohio - 25956 overall]

Drinks and food we got were pretty good. One big miss from the watch party piece of things is they had an outdoor seating area and even had a stage which would have been awesome to protect the game onto but they didn't and their TVs were not in sync so one would show the goal seconds before the one near it...was super annoying. It's a great little venue for about 40 people. They allowed us to bring in our own food, and also allowed us to project content onto their many TV screens. Nick, the owner, as well as the other people who work here are all super friendly. There is a lot of aviation-related knick-knacks and trivia hiding in this place, and Nick will be sure to talk your ear off about them if you ask. The only downside is the location, which is in a dying strip mall in Centerville. But the interior is beautiful.

I got here during a lull and found a six-top in a corner. I ordered a pint of their Fly Light and a basket of "spicy" pork rinds. The beer was excellent, the pork rinds disappeared which clearly means they were tasty. It's a really nice spot. It's very "warehouse" with high ceilings, exposed concrete and cinder block. The big open space makes the noise more muted than it might have been in a smaller space. I enjoyed my time and I might have stayed longer if there was a seat with a power outlet at a table rather than at the bar. [Review 776 of 2026 - 308 in Ohio - 25957 overall]
