This was our first time in this town. It's super cute and the brewery has a great location right by the water. They have a nice outdoor area and the inside is very spacious. We did not eat but the food looked so good. The bar tenders were nice and helpful with making selections and letting you try samples. We enjoyed the amber, the winter ale and the rainbow drink. We definitely plan to come back again. Alematic brewery- This place is a brewery as well as a coffee shop and a café. We did not try the coffee or the food but the food did look good. The beer is OK. It's nothing special not the best. I had not the worst. I've had. I did enjoy the sour cream that was pretty decent And the berry sour. My husband was disappointed in the cream sickle. Stopped here on a whim to have dinner and a drink. Staff is super friendly. Food was decent. My husband tried two different stouts and both had no "flavors". They should have had notes of chocolate, coffee, etc. The orange cream ale was super orange flavored. The pulled pork nachos were good. We ordered an extra side of queso for ours. My burger was good and a nice size/portion. The tots were good and had some seasoning on them. My husband got a wrap and he said it had too much lettuce/filler. The inside has a cool vibe. read more

Great brewery: Diverse beers and great food I stumbled onto this gem based upon the adjacent coffee house (B-Side). The coffee house has a full kitchen and has incredible food, which is available for order from within the brewery. The brewery has a very 70's-80's music theme with the bar top featuring LPs and album covers embedded. All the classics are there, from Rock, Funk, Disco and Soul. It's a trip down memory lane just looking at them. The beers are inspired by- great "must haves" like hazy IPAs and the like, but there are some really eclectic brews like Curry stout! It was incredible and not what one might have anticipated. I wound up taking home a 4-pack of the curry and the Mexican hot chocolate stout. The brewery has a full bar for those who might want something with a little more punch. On the evening I was there, they had a weekly event called "Singo", which was a combination of Bingo and "Name that tune". Players received a bingo card of song titles and then the host played a playlist of approximately 1 minute long snippets of tunes from all genres that one had to identify and then match to the titles on their score sheet. Complete a "Bingo" correctly and receive prizes. It was really fun to play and it drew quite a crowd. Definitely worth checking out. read more

My friends and I stopped by this gem of a place because we were visiting some locations on the Dayton Ale Trail. I'm so glad we did! Their ales are made with all natural fruits and you can tell. I ordered a couple 4oz pours of a variety of their offerings and I enjoyed them all. However, I do have a favorite... the Stillmatic. I still am amazed at this ale. It's a peanut butter and jelly sour ale. Don't be fooled by the "sour ale" part of that and think it's too tart, because it's not. It truly just tastes like a nostalgic always-there-for-you peanut butter and jelly sandwich! 10/10 recommend. My friends and I will be coming back for sure. The guys behind the bar were great too. We enjoyed talking to Greg while figuring out what to drink. He's a super nice and kind guy! read more

Black owned brewery making good beer. The bartender was super friendly and knowledgeable about beer. I loved that he knew a brewery in Brooklyn and my friend has been there...great beer talk!! We did a 3 day brewery run while in Dayton and this was on day one. At the end of our trip, I would have went back to Alematic to just hang out. Tried to make the feud trivia on Thursdays with a friend but we were both running a little late and seemed to have missed it. As a consolation, we shared some pretzels and tried some beers. The pretzels were pretty good and the bacon queso was very tasty. I would definitely get it again. I got the mixtape beer on tape and it was different and not what I expected but I liked it a lot. I also grabbed some chun-li to go beers which I really liked. Bartenders were very nice and helpful. The next time we will make sure and get to trivia on time! read more

He gave us a few minutes to review the menu as there were 14 beers on tap - IPA's, Sours, Ales, Porters & Stouts - something for everyone. The bar is covered in old album covers and the beers are named after songs or variations on songs. As it was hard to decide on what to try we went with a variety of 4oz pours, Santana Champ, Beautiful Times, Blue Ocean Floor, Cut Em In, The Big Baloons 2021 (delicious & my favorite of the bunch), Italian Leather Sofa. Thursday night is song bingo night and is a rout of a good time. Found this gem on line searching for something new. Hidden in a shopping center but nicely done. Drinks were great and atmosphere was good. Outside patio was nicely shaded due to the building but what we were looking for. The food was excellent and was surprised, but the guys at the bar were giving it 5 stars for whatever you order. My wife's a vegetarian so really went there for their homemade black bean burger. This is where the rating gets a 3.75 - 4.0. They've changed that out with the impossible burger which my wife can't stand. She was so looking forward to the homemade black bean burger only to find out it was no more. We enjoyed our early Saturday evening visit to this new and upcoming brewery "hidden away" in the middle of a shopping plaza in Huber Heights. Tough to find when we went, but I think since our first visit, they've gotten a much-needed large sign out front, which definitely helps. Bob enjoyed a couple of IPA's, I had a porter, and we played a couple of relaxed games of cards. We grabbed a bite to eat before we arrived, but will be trying some local spots (Thai, Pizza, Mexican...) for future visits. FYI, closed Sundays, we sadly discovered a few weeks ago!! Happy, as always, to support the efforts of places like this that are true labors of love. AMAZING the amount of work that must go into getting a place (and a great selection of beers) off of the ground!! Wishing them much success; can't wait to see how far they can go!!! read more

Consistently one of the best breweries around. They have some of the best fruited beers and sours. Currently "Stillmatic" is a sour that has a finish that taste just like PB&J. They also have solid stouts and other styles. The venue is small but never seems crowded. Friendly and knowledgeable bartenders. Plenty of parking as it is in a shopping center. They don't serve food but it's all about the beer and this place is well worth the stop. read more

Take-out beer open for business. During our pandemic this brewery will not give you samples and will not fill your growlers (apparently it's against the law). So I grabbed one of each of their IPAs on tap in their 32oz Howlers: Gooey (8% ABV , dry hopped, double IPA, with clover honey), Paint it Black (black IPA), and Draped Up (regular IPA). Gooey was a winner: a fantastic and delicious juicy beer. I wish I'd picked up three cans of these. The other two IPAs were just OK. Paint is Black tasted a little too smokey or peaty for my taste. My pallet couldn't segregate the hops from this smokiness. Draped Up was OK. Nothing to write home about. read more

Alematic is a lovely, new brewery with a great attention to detail. The location feels super comfy and pleasant to be in, and the service really adds to that. They have a decent selection of craft beers - enough to last you a couple hours. I just wish there was more variety in the seating. (NOTE: They have the sign out front now! Alematic is located in a strip-mall next to a Mexican grocery store and a cafe) PROS: -The atmosphere in here is so nice. I really love the attention they gave to the decor. Instead of using the built-in overhead business office lights, they strung up hanging lights across the ceilings. They added plants and painted the walls. Other walls are covered in canvas art. It's definitely a various-obvious focus on making their place look nice. -Music selection and volume was really on-point. It felt very chill, comfortable, and enjoyable. We could hear it at the couch where no-one else was, but we couldn't hear it easily near the bar area. Good volume. -Alematic also has some adorable arcade pin-ball machines. I imagine those get a little intense/loud if all of them are going, but it's really a nice touch. -Delicious beers! A lot of them weren't necessarily up my alley right now, but I definitely enjoyed their selection. I appreciate that they use Untappd to keep things organized too. Helps me so much with checking things in! -Bartender was super friendly. No table service here, so just walk up to the bar and get what you want. Very friendly guy and very prompt service - even though a single guy was handling the entire bar when we went. -Oh! And the bathrooms were extra awesome. They have two, single-stall unisex restrooms. Each one is super clean with complimentary feminine care supplies. Fantastic job guys. CONS: -There is only high-top table seating here. Why you do this to me? There's a sofa which could seat 4/5 people, but other than that, the entire place is made up of various high-top tables and chairs. This is pretty much what would keep us from coming back (unfortunately!) -Just an FYI. I'm not sure if it's always this way, but it was definitely on the chill side (we left our coats on!) when we went in mid-November. Just bring your coat just in case! read more

They've only been open for a week so I was really impressed with what they had to offer being so new. They currently have six different beers on tap and I tried them all. They didn't have a sign out front yet so it was a little difficult to find but they are working on that and shouldn't be an issue soon. The taproom is really cool. This place was a bit of a surprise. When you first arrive, it doesn't seem like much, but inside is quite a bit of seating and very friendly staff. The beers are okay - the flagships aren't as great as the other offerings, but overall, the place was pretty amazing. They are 10 minutes away from our home and kid friendly (we brought our teenager who drank a Sprite and hung out). My first impression pulling up was "man, this place is small." Wrong!!! Huge on the inside with plenty of room to sit in your group and socially distance. Clean with unique works of art. They have some cool pinball machines too! The two bartenders were beyond friendly. Offered suggestions, told me some history, they have at least one sour on at all times. A huge win for me!! Also did you know porters/stouts should be room temp so the notes (ie chocolate, coffee, etc can breathe)? Learned that too. Anyways, great service, staff, and experience. Can't wait to go back! Hey Huber Heights, welcome to the craft brewery scene! Unless I'm mistaken, this is Huber's first craft beerpub. Hooray! From what I've heard, this place just opened a couple weeks ago. They've currently got 6 beers on tap, but they're just getting started! The owners are very friendly and welcoming! They seem to know their stuff and delight in giving recommendations to people and explaining the brewing process. This place looks small from the road, but it's actually pretty big inside. They don't sell any food (other than bar snacks, chips, etc) but encourage you to order from local businesses, as most brewpubs. I think these guys are off to a great start!
