Beautiful night to try this new to Centerville restaurant. Never had the chance to try them in downtown Dayton but I had heard good things about them. The brand new building they built near downtown Centerville is simple but works well for a pub type restaurant. I had reservations through Tock so we had no wait for our booth. The booth was comfy and tall to give ample dining privacy. There is also a nice patio for seating as well that many took advantage of on this beautiful night. Our server was Nicholas (I may have spelled it incorrectly). He was friendly and knowledgeable and was able to answer our menu questions. He even got us to try an order of their maple bacon Brussel sprouts, which I never would have tried in a million years. They were delicious and did not taste like Brussel sprouts, which are usually gross . Food and drink was overall delicious. We enjoyed it and will be back.

This is half of the "Boat Show Brisket" and half of the "Chicken Avo" the both were very good with fresh cut French fries!

The food and the service was spot on! I shared with a friend and the food was very good.

Great meal! Hubby had the fish sandwich and I had the hanger steak, which was cooked a perfect medium rare like I asked. The steak could have been a little move flavored, but it was very good nonetheless. The spinach and tomato side was really good as well! Cute and yummy Mason margarita to cool off on a hot day in the city!

Started the meal with a Caribbean Ice tea and went to a Old Fashioned after that. The Ice tea and Old Fashioned was a little weak. I went with the cauliflower power for my entree. I was a grilled cauliflower steak on a bed of greens with a vinaigrette. I was pretty flavorful. We had a large group there on a Wednesday night and they easily sat us. The service was ok understanding we had a large group. The overall feedback seemed to be that the food was fine/solid. Decent place to hang out

Always a good time at Mudlick! AND they're open for lunch again, which is amazing, because their salads are the perfect mid-day munchie. If the weather is nice, definitely sit on the patio.

We had trouble finding a place to eat on a Saturday night and stumbled upon this place since it was close to our airbnb and could get us in quickly. There was a nice selection of beers and we ordered one while waiting at the bar. After being seated we noticed that the menu has specialty items for Mardi Gras which we were so excited about. We ended up ordering the poutine, jambalaya and balsamic burger. It did take a little time to come from the kitchen but I'm convinced it is because everything is cooked with care. The flavors were delicious and we would absolutely come back here again. Great drinks, food and service.

Got dinner here before seeing Hadestown. I got the fig jam burger and it the job. It was a little overcooked but the flavors were still there and the fries were delightful. Despite being busy, our waitress did her best to check in on us and make sure we made it to the show on time. While some of their menu is a little pricey, I would definitely eat here again.

Our recent visit had a bit of a rough start. We told the hostess it was our first time and kind of expected 'sit wherever you like' since we were the only customers there. But she tried to stick us at a very small 2 top right under an AC vent. My husband objected. I asked for a booth, and it was granted. Then she tells me they have no paper menus and cannot print one, so "You're gonna have to use the QR code. " I don't think that's the way to speak to a customer, especially one who is, well, quite a bit older than you. Honestly if we hadn't been under a time constraint I would have gone elsewhere. Our waiter arrived - Nick. He was very good, professional, checking on us, just the right amount of attentive. Now I never use QR code OPTION at a restaurant. I'm staring at a screen enough as it is. I asked Nick what's the deal, and he very politely explained they were currently updating the menu and would be printing new ones but unfortunately not ready yet. And suggested if we didn't want to mess with the scanning just go to their website. The food- cup of chili arrived quickly and was a beautiful sight but sadly it was cold. I waved Nick down who promised to replace with a hot one, which he did. Piping. Chili was great, good medium spice level and contained chopped green pepper which made for a nice texture. My husband had the Reuben which he said was delicious. The Brussels sprouts were awesome. Shaved/sliced very small so every bite was crispy and well charred. Crab cakes were good but there was a bit of fishiness and I think not enough crab in proportion to cake. The accompanying greens with lemony dressing were superb. There's a serious industrial vibe to the premises, not surprising being a 100 year old former Model T dealership! I liked the prohibition era themes in the decor. The background music was new agey and soothing. I hope when they get around to printing those menus they include some of the historic information. That's what local flavor's all about.

I liked this place! It fits you like a worn leather glove, warm, friendly, nice people, great food, great beer selection and on and on.. We stopped here for dinner as we had reservations for a play and this was close to the theater. Parking was easy as the parking meters stop at 6 and that's when we arrived. We started with bruschetta. It comes in a glass cup with thin very crispy toasted bread. Not a fan of this and we agreed we would not reorder it. I had the Cobb salad with blue cheese dressing. Chicken, avocado, tomato's egg, on top of greens. The blue cheese crumbles just made it that much better. The blue cheese dressing was rich and delicious! My SO had the spinach salad with chicken. Also a delicious salad with tender grilled chicken. She also had a cup of the daily soup special a corn chowder which was delicious but not served hot.

Excellent draft beers and Buffalo cauliflower!!

Traveling through Dayton and this place caught my eye. So glad we stopped in and enjoyed a wonderful meal and experience! Daniel took great care of us and recommended the grouper creole. My wife is a huge Buffalo cauliflower fan and the app was fantastic!!! Additionally, they have a broad selection of excellent draft beers. Great food, excellent service - highly recommend and will be back next time through Dayton.

This tap house is what one might find in Portland Oregon. It's hip with clever decorations. The service feels like you are dealing with friends that welcome you with a smile. The place itself used to be a car dealership. There are few pictures on the walls that show what it used to be like. The food is top notch quality food that you know right away that it was prepared by a skilled chef... I highly recommend it.

This is such a fun spot for a big group! We made day-of reservations for a party of 9 adults and 2 children, and had a great experience at Mudlick. This historic building in downtown Dayton has a neat automotive history -- I definitely recommend asking your server about it, or looking it up while you're dining! We were seated on the second floor -- and the staff was so accommodating to the elderly members of our group that have trouble getting up and down the stairs. They have a service elevator that they primarily use for employees, but they were more than willing to allow our grandparents to ride up. They have a decent list of rotating drafts: I ordered the Platform Co. Red Martian sour, and that seemed to be a hit among the rest of our party, because three other people ordered the same. We started with a few appetizers -- the soft pretzel was delicious, although the cheese dip wasn't my favorite. The buffalo cauliflower bites were cooked perfectly, and while I didn't try the Crab Dip, the other people in our group practically licked the dish clean. I ordered the "Cauliflower Power" vegan entree, and was so happy with how this was served! The cauliflower was grilled and seasoned beautifully, and the lemon vinaigrette it was topped with just brought the whole dish together. The only thing I would have changed is that the while beans underneath the "steak" were a little cold ... that could have been because our party had several other orders, so it definitely wouldn't deter me from ordering this again. I was able to taste some of the other dishes we ordered ... the french fries and aioli were absolutely my favorite bite of the night. The "Trotty Coddy," which is their version of fish and chips, was also spot on. The portion sizes are pretty big -- but I feel like they match the prices. Our waitress was so kind and attentive -- and even though the food and drinks took a while to get to us, she continually checked in on us to make sure everyone was enjoying themselves. Our party ranged in age from 1-year-old to 87-years-old, and everyone left happy and full of straight up yummy food! We'd love to come back here again soon -- I definitely recommend Mudlick for your next big family or friend dinner.

The Avocado Deviled Eggs were delicious, slightly tart, and had a salsa flavor. We really liked them. My girlfriend really liked her salmon. The portion was a really nice size. My thanksgiving meal was delicious. The turkey was really good, mashed potatoes were nice and creamy, and the green beans were cooked just right. Green beans a lot of times have a tendency to be overcooked where they are a little soggy or undercooked where they are too raw. These were cooked just right. The stuffing was good but a little dry. But I'm not really a stuffing guy. For dessert I had the tiramisu which was in small jar topped with some strawberries! It was also and a great way to end the meal. My girlfriend had the Dark Chocolate Terrine. She said it was dense and rich in chocolate flavor. We did check out the outdoor area after we ate. This would be a really nice place to eat outside in the spring or summer. There was an igloo-style structure you could eat in during colder months. I giving this establishment five stars. We had a 3:30 pm reservation, arrived at 3:00 pm and were immediately seated. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly and the food was really good. The rice wasn't cooked properly so it was hard. I wanted to like this dish more...I think the traditional pairing of short rib w mashed potatoes would have been better) -Deviled eggs (3/5; these are mixed w avocado which makes them unique. Unfortunately, the flavor was lacking and needed some spice (Dijon, salt, pickles?) I wouldn't get these again -Oaxacan old fashioned (5/5; this old fashioned was made with tequila and mezcal and a flamed orange peel. The menu rotates roughly every quarter, and given the use of fresh, locally sourced ingredients, the selection is a bit limited -- handful of vegetarian small plates, a few meat and a few seafood options. For the non-drinkers, they had two non-alcoholic cocktails available, but no NA beer. Beware though, as the NA cocktails were still around $11, which I always find frustrating as they are basically flavored sugar water. We tried the blackhawk beef burger and koji-aged ribeye. The blackhawk burger was a smash burger (thin patties, melted cheese), that tasted delicious. The ribeye was just as expected and cooked as ordered. The star of each of the entrees, however, was the thin cut, crispy fries. Good thing the fries were delicious because the sauces that came with it were quite bland -- would've preferred ketchup. For dessert we tried the bay leaf cheesecake. It was alright, had a subtle smokey flavor that I think threw us off a bit (although that was obviously the point given the bay leaf). Our server Renee was friendly and everything was prompt. Overall, we enjoyed our experience and the food was pretty good. Although, given the limited number of options on the menu, you'll definitely want to look at it ahead of time to make sure there is something that suits your palate.

The moment we stepped in, the modern aesthetic hit perfectly - clean lines, mood lighting, and just enough buzz to feel energetic without drowning out conversation. Our family gathering was greeted immediately by staff who seemed genuinely stoked to have us there. Major points for making a large group feel welcome! The menu is refreshingly concise - none of that overwhelming novel-length situation that makes you second-guess yourself three times. Their drink selection strikes that perfect balance too - enough variety in wines/beers/cocktails to satisfy everyone. They've got some non-alcoholic options as well. We started with the Kimchi Pancake and Brussels Sprouts for the table. Not gonna lie, I was skeptical about the pancake (kimchi can be hit or miss for me), but this was a revelation. The kimchi flavor was present but not overwhelming - just enough kick that played perfectly with the shiso and wasabi remoulade. And those Brussels? It's packed with flavor and disappeared in approximately 3.5 seconds... Maybe less! For my main course, went with my cousin's recommendation - the Koji Aged Ribeye. When it arrived I initially thought "that's it?" But this steak is deceptive. The thick cut topped with Togarashi Butter was significantly more filling than it looked. Cooked to absolute perfection, and that butter situation on top? A flavor bomb of sweet-spicy-savory that had me contemplating licking the plate - don't worry, I didn't! My taste buds were begging for more even when my stomach waved the white flag. That's when you know it's good. If you're anywhere near downtown Dayton, make Jollity a priority stop. Not sure when I'll be back in Ohio again, but would definitely have this resto on my return list.
