I frequent this T4 quite often and it's a pretty chill place to hang out at. There's some board games. It seems to be very popular amongst high schoolers, especially from the SL area. From what I've noticed, it tends to get busy around 4 PM (after school is out) and during happy hour (crazy lines that probably exceed the maximum occupancy). Even though it's not on the menu, I always ask for a black tea topped cream. They actually have a name for it on the receipt, so I'm not sure if it's actually supposed to be on the menu or not. Their cream is salty, and it blends very well with the sweetness of the drink. I usually get it with 30% ice and standard sweetness. Their pearls are really good. During happy hour, my friends and I ordered level 2 spiciness calamari and popcorn chicken, however, it was way spicier than it usually is. The worker stated that they recently changed chili powders, so beware of the new spiciness levels. They offered to refry the items, but it didn't taste as good refried, but I appreciate their effort. This place used to be one of my favorite boba places. But they have gotten worse ever since itea popped up. The first thing I noticed was that it started to take much much longer to make my boba even when there were no other customers. Then, they stopped using 5 stars and that was a let down Bc I liked deals they sent me. The last straw was that they stopped having $2.50 happy hr for all items. I wanted to surprise my wife with a fancy drink but she ended up spitting it out of me because of the black circular things in the bottom of the drink. She told me they were fish eggs so I did my research and it said, In most cases, your fish's eggs should hatch in 3-7 days, occasionally less or sometimes more. The incubation time can vary depending on species, tank conditions, and water temperature, but it should never take more than 10 days for most fish species. I'm still waiting for the to hatch, I don't know if something is wrong with mine or what. It's been 2 whole weeks and they haven't hatched. My wife has been trying to throw them away when I am not looking so I made her sleep on the couch so my 5 dogs can sleep with me. My dogs keep the fish eggs safe when I go on top of my roof to get away from my wife. Last summer I bought my wife a little kiddie pool so she can stop taking up my bathroom time, I told her to shower in there and I think she has it out for me ever since. She clipped my nose hairs in my sleep so I shaved off half her eyebrows. Anyways the people here were really nice and even took my wife's order, if i worked here I would never. The service for T4 has gone downhill over the years. I used to come here regularly. Now I only come once in a while. Today, I went to redeem my free drink. T4 has a point system where if you buy 9 drinks, you get 1 free. However, when I went to redeem my free drink, the employee told me that the free drink reward only applied to MILK teas! On the app, it does not say the free drink is redeemable for milk teas. No where in the store does it say the free drink is only redeemable for milk teas. I offered to pay the difference for my free drink. (Free milk tea+ difference=cost of the drink I wanted) I asked the employee why the free drink was for milk teas only, and we got into an argument. The employee raised his voice and told me to refund everything if I was unhappy with it, and told me to go to another place. He threw the drinks in the trash can aggressively and said something in his language under his breath. The employee told me to never come back again. I just wanted to use the free drink, but the employee told me that I cannot use it on a drink other than milk tea. Maybe I shouldn't judge a place based on one experience, but I feel like this incident should be noted. I tried some of their drinks before off of friends, and I really like their fruit teas and popcorn chicken. However, when going to the actual store, their service is different. I went with a group of friends and there were about three people in front of us. Still, we waited a good ten minutes before getting to the front. I soon realized that it was because the cashier was also doing toppings and delivery at the same time! When the cashier is done with a customer they would go fill up toppings, leaving us to stand and wait. And while I was taking out my change, he left to deliver food. Maybe this was why he GAVE US THE WRONG CHANGE. My friends ordered a total of $26 and I handed him the exact about. However, he did not put in the happy hour discount yet when he took the money. After the cash register read $21, he proceeded to only give me back $1. That means, he took FIVE DOLLARS from me. I was too timid and honestly quite tired to call him out on it, so I left it like that. But, my friends also saw and pointed it out to me afterward. When we got our food, I realized that the cashier put in a Unigadon when I asked for a BBQ Beef Udon instead. Again, I figured he repeated the order to us beforehand, so did not say anything. Still, these mistakes were able to ruin my experience, even though some of their drinks and snacks are actually pretty good. I also want to mention that their smoothies are more like a slushy / snow cone (very icy and not blended). This is just a note, not necessarily a bad thing, I just did not expect that. Overall, T4 is fine when it comes to some food/drink qualities (like the fruit teas and popcorn chicken which I very much enjoy). This review is only for drinks: 1. Milk tea with coffee jelly, add pearls: All I can taste is the milk and the pearls had no flavor. After I walked out with my drink, I noticed that they forgot to put coffee jelly in my drink so I had to walk back into the store and have them fix it. First time here. Got the peppermint milk tea with tapioca, 0% ice and 30% sweetness. I'd recommend getting a little more sweetness, but the flavor is on point. Pearls are nice and chewy too :) woohoo! My brother got the red bean milkshake and the basil popcorn chicken (spicy level 2). He really liked it, but he also said it tasted better at the Fremont location. The chicken wasn't very crispy as I prefer, but I guess it wasn't advertised as such. Our buddy got the grass jelly milk tea (80% sweetness, 80% ice). He said it was "just okay". They also have those handy stamp cards (buy 10, get 1 free). I promised myself that I would go back for the grass jelly milk tea. I'm so glad that I did because its high quality is on par, if not better, with the boba coffee jelly milk tea that I got last time! As expected, the milk tea was wonderful with adequate tea leaf smell and taste. But it was the grass jelly that caught my attention - it came in big chunks, super silky smooth (trust me, I tried grass jelly elsewhere that are not) and a strong herbal taste to it! People who love real grass jelly is not going to disappoint with this drink choice! Since becoming a regular at this location, things have slowed down a bit. There seems to always be lines, and not enough workers. The influx of people makes the wait quite long, especially when one person orders multiple drinks. The music is also very loud, making it very inconvenient to hang out with a friend and have a conversation. The music is mostly mainstream and played loudly, to an uncomfortable level. The quality of boba remains the same. I still like everything about their milk teas, but I docked one star mainly because the experience of buying the beverages sometimes dissuades me from going at times. The location itself shouldn't be a deterrent, but it is. I have also noticed that the workers work very quickly, but efficiently, for the most part. I went today and my friend ordered a large drink, but got a small instead. He was given a larger drink, and my friend asked if he could have the other one that was unopened. One of the workers asked his co-worker if he was going to drink it. Without saying anything, one of them just handed it to my friend. I found this to be sort of odd, but hey, thanks! One tip would be to just offer the mistaken drink to the customer free of charge, and make them the new one. The reason I think this is somewhat warranted is because the wait is always long, and to wait for a drink to be remade is almost like getting in line and ordering again. I used to come here when I was pregnant - at least 3 times a week. They have a pretty good variety of food selection. I loved their popcorn chicken and royal milk tea. The royal milk tea uses fresh milk so the taste is more silky. Lots of ample seating. Cashiers are quick and efficient although sometimes, the food orders did take forever to come out.
