This is my favorite T-Mobile store. Kim and Jason were so helpful and friendly. They went above and beyond to help me and my sister with our issue. We did not feel rushed or pressured into anything. They found everything that was right for us with our new account. 100% would recommend them to all my friends and family!! I will make sure they come to this store as their primary store! I went to a different store to get some quotes and they were very rude and didn't want to help me at all. As soon as I walked into this store I could feel a great vibe and felt so welcomed!! My phone(NOKIA LUMIA 635) broke a month after I bought. Searched online and found out this phone often has the problem with power button not working which I was in the same situation. Went to the shop and the first thing they said was "Just buy a new phone." I chose to send the phone back to Mainland and get the replacement but the delivery fee was charged to me. I asked them for a loaner phone but they can't, kept waiting for the replacement for 2 weeks now but they haven't shipped out the new one yet. This is the worst shop ever. read more

I went to this place two weeks ago to add another line on my account as a birthday gift for an important person in my life and thank goodness Lopaka was there that day who provided me a really great customer service! He was friendly, patient and professional! Thank you Lopaka! :) I came back again just two days ago to do a jump for my phone. I had been an iphone user for almost a year and i finally felt the need to upgrade to the newest and most recent samsung edge 6+! Goshh the phone was so beautiful and was very advance compare to what I have. Janine was assigned to help me go through all the procedures for my jump. She was very easy to get along with. She has great sense of humor, friendly ,and was very helpful compare to the T-mobile location at Alakea to which I had previously went to and experienced waiting for 50mins only to find out they didn't have the phone i wanted. I was forced to switch from sprint to T-Mobil due to merge. Although Sprint wasn't the best they were a lot better than T-Mobil. With Spint my signal was 3 to 4 bars and phone and internet service was pretty decent. With T-Mobile it's mostly 1 to occasionally 2 bars with drop calls and very poor internet service. I dealing with customer service for months with great customer service people. Unfortunately their agents only information given to them by there bosses. I was told to be patient until they can connect to Sprint towers and was given 3 different rolling dates. I want to move to Verizon but am locked into a contract with T-Mobil. If you live in Honolulu I would advise you to check with any satisfied customers. You'll have a hard time finding one. Do not get stuck in a contract like I did. Unfortunately broke my phone during vacation and had to get a replacement while I was there. My boyfriend looked up all the T-Mobile locations that were open early in the morning as we had a flight to catch. We called them to see if they had iPhone pluses available and they said yes. It wasn't too far from our hotel but traffic was hectic even in the AM. We were on a huge time constraint and Tony was able to help right away, got all the paperwork and processing done within 15 minutes! What a super star employee. Yes, it gets crowded quickly. Yes, the wait is a little long. It's a centralized location, so you should already expect that. However, I think they made up for it with friendly and professional service. I was assisted by Lisa who was a gem! She helped me pick out a phone and assisted in setting it up for me. I didn't have to do a thing. While I was there I did witness an abusive customer. Yelling and cursing is not acceptable, I don't care who you are. The associate stayed calm and professional. I went in to get a new phone because the battery life on my Galaxy s3 was terrible. Jenine helped me. She was really friendly and helped us find out what the best plan to change to was and ended up finding one that was cheaper than what I was originally paying for. This store has outstanding service. I had to go there on three occasions and was promptly helped with my problems. I went there today to change service plans. They did it all the peliminary work and then sent us to call the 800 number to finalize the new rate plan and transfer the numbers. This is where everything unravelled. After 1 hour 29 minutes and four (4) agents it's still not done. We got transfe ed I. The end back to U.S. customer service agent but in the wrong division. The last agent before that said we wouldn't be cutoff but if we were that they had our number and would call back...never happened. read more

I know right? 5 stars for a phone place where they take a good hunk of your money and aggressively try to push product on you. Well let me tell you my most recent experience that ahas changed my impression, even if only for a day. I had to get a smart phone for work and so I walked in to the store. After about a 15 minute wait, I was assisted by Dwayne (she's a female) who took my specifications and noted them. Without pushing a product on me she talked about her experience with an iPhone but what impressed me more was that she wasn'the boastful or arrogant about it. Anyways, long story short, I give her props for giving me customer service and really attempting to find the right fit. She even looked for inventory in the back for one of the last cases since there was a 30% off deal. She helped me install screen protectors and basically get set up with my phone so that I walked out of there pretty much satisfied despite me coming off very demanding. She was pretty good at suggesting useful items too like a back up emergency charger. In the end I really liked my phone and I appreciated that she took the time in really servicing me where as other members would have probably gotten annoyed. What can I say, when you're paying hundreds of dollars for something you just want to get it right. read more

My phone had not been able to receive / send calls / texts for the past two weeks. I came to T-Mobile Beretania and first spoke with Tre. He was really helpful and patient with giving me the best customer service he could. Unfortunately there was a block on my phone which refrained me from receiving / sending / texting on my phone. He called customer care and they advised him that it would take up to 24 hours for my phone to be unblocked, so with that being said, I left hoping that it would work. 24 hours past, and my phone still didn't work. I could get on WiFi and all of that but I still couldn't make any calls. So I called them back and spoke with Tre again, he advised me that he was leaving within the next 5 minutes and would let someone know my situation so that when I come back, then I don't have to go through the entire process as the day before. When I have arrived back to T-Mobile, Eric had helped me and knew of my situation. Although the wait time was about 30 minutes, he came to my rescue and helped me fully. Since he knew that the phone call with customer care would take a bit, he advised me to have a seat while he can settle my issue with them. When he came back to me, he ran through what was going on and that he will get T-Mobile to credit me for the time being that I couldn't use my phone which was for the two weeks. I was very grateful that he had helped me but he also told me it might take another 24 hours for it to refresh. He also told me to try and turn my phone off and on to see if the unblock goes through, so I left again. 3 hours later, my phone was up and running!!! I'm super happy!!! THANK YOU TRE & ERIC!!! I REALLY APPRECIATE ALL YOUR HELP WITH GETTING MY PHONE UP AND RUNNING. I KNOW I'LL BE BACK FOR ANY ISSUE I HAVE AND I'LL PERSONALLY ASK FOR YOU!!! read more

I'm one that never likes to write a bad review . I like to give credit when it's due . However my experience at this store was not favorable . I went in to check my bill as I was a sprint customer and now t mobile . I was being charged for a lease that was 4 years over due . The worker had no knowledge and needed to call a representative on the phone which I assume I could've done from home had I known she had no clue . She proceeded to tell me I needed to pay for the phone since it was damaged . What had I been paying $22.00 for the last 2 years . Not the phone it was the service which was clearly something I wasn't using since they could see another phone was being used . No care in customer service . Just blame that it was the sprint issue and they should've told me to pay for the phone at that time the lease was done . Isn't sprint now t mobile ??? If you don't tell them the lease is done they keep charging . Imagine all the other customers who are still paying for something they aren't using .. I changed from paper billing to paperless worse thing . I'm old school and maybe would have noticed this earlier .. my bad on that . After I mentioned how spotty my phone reception was since it was changed to t mobile I got nothing .. just a blank look . T mobile needs to step up their training in customer service . My new iPhone 6 was acting up. I took it to my T-Mobile shop on Beretania Street. Dane greeted me with a warm Aloha and a nice smile. He asked me what he could do for me today. I told him of my problem. He said he would check it out. A few minutes later, Dane came back and said he knew what exactly was the problem and he installed a new sim card free of charge. Dane showed excellent customer service and great bed side comforting manner. I should know, I was a CS manager for a big box department store. I will start by saying I've been going to this Beretania TM location for several years now, but on Tues, April 5, 2022, it was god-awful, because the 'greeter' at the door simply writes down your name and asks the issue/problem and does not attempt to help you with it, assuming it's easily addressed. There were at least 7 reps at the desk, it was "normally" busy--nothing unusual. I notice elderly waiting who were not offered a chair--extremely disrespectful on long waits,. I waited for maybe 10 minutes, and knew from previous experience over the yrs that the 'greeter' can just push a few buttons on the cell and address your problem when it's simple, as mine was, so you don't have to wait. I was not purchasing a new phone or having tech issues. I finally got aggravated enough to just leave and go to the next location, which was Market City, but along the way I accidentally went to a wrong location, so it took more time. Believe it or not, after driving *away* from the Beretania store, driving to a wrong location, then driving to Market City, I got a call from TM Beretania NEARLY AN HOUR LATER, claiming it was now my turn in line! I tried to tell the female rep what had happened and she wouldn't listen--just said, 'Have a nice day' in a snarky way and hung up on me. I went into the TM Market City store and WHAT A DIFFERENCE!! I was immediately greeted by a rep named 'Elixis' who immediately helped me sign in to my email account. She was friendly, efficient, polite and wonderful--I would avoid that Beretania store like the plague til their Manager decides to make it more efficient and respectful. If your 'greeter' can fix simple problems instead of making people wait in line, he/she should do so. And have CHAIRS for elderly or disabled. That's the pono thing to do! read more

I'm so glad I found great staff at T-Mobile Beretania! I have been a T-Mobile customer since the early 2000s and have always had subpar customer service experiences. A few months ago the manager Jason & the rep Chelsea Park at this location under Safeway helped me and I've been loyally going back to them for my phone/earbud/tablet needs ever since. Chelsea is a serious phone WHIZ and knows her shiz. Jason always goes above and beyond to fix any issues and find ways to maximize my savings/promotions. Over the past year I'd been deliberating changing phone carriers because of the customer service. However working with Jason & Chelsea changed my mind and I decided to stay with T-Mobile because I know I'm in good hands with any issues I have with my account and devices. These two are an asset to your company and they deserve a raise, partly because I'm mildly high maintenance and they are always very patient, kind, and knowledgeable! Thanks you two! read more

Let's just put it out there...I've been a customer for 2 years with T-Mobile and I hate it, so the minute my contract ends, I'm done. Their service is spotty, customer service is a mess, and going into the store you might get ten different answers, so best of luck if you decide on going with T-Mobile. I'll just say this, you get what you pay for. They have cheap(er) plans, but with cheap plans, you will struggle when you need help. Here are some things I have dealt with during my time with T-Mobile: * When my data wasn't working, the customer rep told me to call back when it's working......(um, does anyone call when things work?!) * My phone dies by lunch so when I took it in they said, "You need to turn off the data and have your screen as dark as you can to save your battery." Why on Earth you would have your screen so dark you can't see a thing and only turn the data on when you need it. Ludicrous. * When I needed to see how much it would cost to cancel my contract, two workers couldn't decide if would cost me $50 or $200. So this is what one says, "Um, I dunno, try cancel 'em and see what they say." Yeah, ok, thanks. * When I wasn't getting service in my area, I chatted online with a T-Mobile rep who claimed, "Everything looks perfect in your area." She made me take apart my phone twice and after that she said, "You should drive down to the store so they can look at your phone." I asked her, "Before I drive down, please make sure there's no service outage." Of course, she says, "No ma'am, it's showing perfect service." So, like a good customer, I drive down to the store. As soon as I walk in, I hear the workers joking around, "Yeah, Alewa Heights area had an outage since this afternoon." Hmph! Seriously? Could we get some communication going?! * I asked will you please call Customer Service so they know there's an outage? This is the reply I got, "We do not talk to Customer Service, we are separate from them. Only customers can call." If that makes sense to anyone, then ok. I feel like I could go on and on and on. I'll just say to wrap it up, you'll get what you pay for. So if you want a cheap plan and a phone that dies by lunch, best of luck. Everybody needs a customer, I guess. I'm going with Verizon where even though it's a little more expensive, I know I'm getting a better product. read more

Don't do it. Just don't go to this location, if at all possible. This location left me wishing I had driven myself all the way to Pearl City to get a new iPhone, and I only wished the Costco location sold apple products because those guys are educated, quick, and thorough. (Costco as a company doesn't carry or sell apple products) First things first, the wait was LOOOOOOOOOONG. I mean one hour before I got to discuss what it was that I wanted, manager Joshua passes me on to a trainee named Jeremy........should've already insisted that I have a skilled person take care of my order, but I tried to be open-minded. MY MISTAKE. After taking another 35 mins to just get me a new phone, the trainee........Jeremy hands me my NEW phone with a NEW phone number......?!?!?!? WTF? Who said I wanted a new phone number? Long story short, I had to go to (on my own time, because this location said they could not help me) and back to get my original phone number restored to my new iPhone. Joshua the manager did not apologize, in fact he made it seem like it was my fault for coming in and buying a new phone. LOL Joshua, your customer service sucks......and your new trainee Jeremy needs ALOT more training. Thank God the 1-800 number for T-Mobile customer service is not only helpful, but darn near heavenly to deal with, because if not I would have taken myself and my "original" phone number to another cell phone company. WARNING: Do NOT go to this location!! I had the WORST experience here. It's a long story, but basically my sister came to this location to get her iPhone turned off and to get a newer one. The guy that was working at the time was a trainee, and didn't know what he was doing. He even took the phone in the back room to ask another employee to help him. If you are familiar with apple products, they are programmed with iCloud which lets you have your information, pictures, notes, data from your iPhone stored into your computer. My sister would use my computer and sync her iPhone into it, and her iCloud account was saved in my computer. The trainee hit the wrong button which erased everything on my sisters iCloud account on her phone, and then erased everything on my computer. I wasn't aware of this until I turned my computer on the next day, it was literally like a brand new computer. All of my pictures, music, notes, documents, etc, was wiped out and gone. I found out that my sister went to this store to turn off her phone, and found out by Apple that everything can be erased by iCloud on your phone. We went in person to talk to the manager about this, and she was very rude and not sympathetic at all. She shouldn't be in customer service, and she should find a new career. She didn't understand how that could've happened, and she knew for a fact that the trainee didn't do anything wrong. Since she said that there is nothing she could do for me, we ended up taking the manager and trainee to court. We unfortunately lost the case because we didn't have enough evidence that the trainee deleted everything, even though we had documents that proved the data on my computer was wiped out on the same day that my sisters phone was turned off at T-Mobile. I was very upset about all of this, because I lost so many memories and important documents that I had throughout the years. Pictures from my trips, birthdays, graduation, prom, important events are all gone, and I'll never have them again. I just wanted to win the case so that I could've possibly recover it by sending it to a company on the mainland, which cost thousands of dollars and I wasn't able to do it since it was so expensive . This is a franchised T-Mobile store operated/owned by U-Mobile LLC. I've experienced a load of data loss after having service performed at this location. After further complaints about what happened and me speaking with T-Mobile Corp. I found out that if you have a complaint about an employee or anything else that happens at that specific store you have to file the complaint to U-Mobile LLC. not T-Mobile. By far the worst customer service from a store, from the store manager all the way to the area manager of this company. So for future reference on filing a complaint or speaking to the person in charge, contact U-Mobile LLC. I will never do service with them ever again. read more

I don't really care for the insincere welcome they bombard you with when you first walk in the door either. Horrible! Brought my phone in because I kept getting a failure message every time I tried to update my phone. I can't really blame the girl who helped me because she was new, but the guy who was supposed to be training her wasn't doing a great job. The girl helping me did not check to make sure I had an SD card in my phone. Luckily I did or else she would have erased all of my irreplaceable pictures. This review is NOT so much about this particular store, but about T-Mobile's policies. You may want to read this though if you are thinking about switching to T-Mobile to take advantage of their "buy-out" offer. I went to the Beretania store because it's close to where I live. It was busy, even though it was about 3:30pm on a Thursday and I had to wait about a half-hour to talk to a rep. That was OK, as it gave me a chance to play with the phone I'm interested in getting. I want to take advantage of T-Mo's buy-out offer to pay off my contracts with my existing carrier, but what happened during the sign-up process REALLY killed the deal. I've been with my current provider only 2 months, but not very happy as I like to listen to music some times when I work, and I've discovered that music streaming eats a LOT of data. T-Mo though does NOT count audio streaming against your data usage, so it's a no-brainer for me to switch. However, first of all I found out that T-Mo is ONLY going to actually give me $186 for my 2-month old phone, a Motorola Droid Turbo - $650 new. Ouch! But since they said they would pay off my phone, (I still owe $440), I decided to go for it. But, here's the catch - it takes about 1-2 months AFTER you send in the final bill with your current carrier to get the pre-paid Visa to pay that final bill! So, my sales rep said it would be best to just pay the bill and use the Visa for whatever. I did NOT like that idea, as it meant I was going to be out a big chunk of money for a while, same as if there were NO buy-out offer. ANNNND, they give you NOTHING in writing that says you are actually going to get this pre-paid Visa! On the other hand, they want YOU to sign this notice that you are only getting the trade-in value quoted for your old phone, and that's a done deal! Yeahhhh, rrrrrright! So, basically your just relying on some advertising and a sales rep's promise that you'll ever get more. Since T-Mo does NOT have a sterling reputation for living up to promises (Google all the people that were promised $200 for their trade-in during an earlier promo - they ended up only getting $36!!!), I needed something more substantial than a handshake. I told my sales rep this, and he started writing out an 'agreement'. But, I stopped him and asked if he was authorized to make contracts for T-Mo. He said no, to which I replied "Don't bother then, it's a waste of time." At that point I had him cancel out the whole thing and left. When I got home, I contacted T-Mo's mainland website and talked with a rep and explained the situation. She said she would be happy to send me some kind of contract that has the buy-out offer in writing through email. She was going to send me 2 emails with that enclosed, and that it would take up to 30 minutes to get them. I was pretty happy with that, and thought I would go back in tomorrow and do the switch. However, EIGHT hours LATER....I still have NOT gotten those emails! Irritating.... read more

I just wanted to see the options they have. Ended up showing me 1 option costing about $80 +. For a flip phone. Have them 1 star only because the salesperson told me Walmart has better phones that cost less. 1.5 hours just to hear that. Ridiculous... Incredible... Speechless... Waste of time!!! Had to return my Note 7, quick turn around. I saw online to expect more than an hour, we finished in about 30 minutes. I was missing the s-pen but since it is a recall, it was accepted without it. People in the forums were sometimes asked to bring back the original box and other items, it just goes to show this store is fully aware of the recall and what to do. Holden was very friendly and made the whole process easier. Now I'm sporting my new Note 7 and couldn't be happier with it and the service of this t-mobile location. I have been to different t-mobile service spots, all the same, bad and poor attitude I will not recommend any of my friend to apply for t-mobile phones few weeks ago, i went to the t-mobile in Ala Moana to refill my monthly plan. there's an Asian look guys there (he has chinese or japanese kanji tatoo on his hand), his attitude sucks! At first, I was standing in front of him and he just pretend that he did not see me, so I walked forward to him i politely said I wanted to refill my plan, he stared at me said OK, PHONE NUMBER? i told him my number, he asid R U SURE U HAVE MONTHLY PLAN?
