About halfway through our trip, my friend told me about some phone issues in calling a friend at home. We tried calling each other and got an error message. The next morning, I Yelped T Mobile and found this to be the nearest store. Parked at Long's, we were unaware of the store location so I went to the information kiosk to ask. It was a bit of a trek, especially since the store was near where we originally parked. With one set of escalators out of service, it took a little under ten minutes to make our way here. When we arrived, all of the staff were busy with customers. One gentleman greeted me and told me that I would be next despite seeing two people sitting at opposite ends of the entrance. It turned out both were waiting for their friend or relative who were already being helped. A few minutes later, Dante introduced himself and asked me what I needed. Describing the situation and my friend's phone information, he started working on the phone. A few minutes later, he asked me to call the number and the problem persisted as it went directly to voicemail. We tried again unsuccessfully tinkering with the phone. He excused himself and walked to his work station. When he returned, we tried again and this time it worked. We tried it again once more to confirm there were no more issues. I didn't know that there is a T-Mobile retail store at Ala Moana shopping center until I needed to locate the store. I was here on September 20, 2025, when I picked up my iPhone 17 Pro Max. T-Mobile is one of the largest mobile carriers in the nation, so the service and network coverage is generally pretty good and reliable. No problems with that with me - usually. I decided to upgrade from the iPhone 15 to the iPhone 17. This time around, I wanted to pick up the phone from the store instead of having it delivered to my home via UPS. I walked into the T-Mobile retail store that Saturday morning. Along the way, I passed the Apple Store and there was a freakishly long line there. There was a bunch of people at the T-Mobile store too, but the wait wasn't too long. I checked in and they told me the wait for service was about 30 minutes. So I left and had lunch and came back. There is plenty of people here waiting around to get service as well. I probably spent the bulk of an hour and a half or so here getting my new phone, purchasing the screen protector, and the phone case. The transferring of the data was helped by the Apple store employee, which was very helpful and knowlegable during the entire process. The overall experience here at the T-Mobile Ala Moana store was decent, due to the waiting, but exceptional, since I got the last iPhone 17 ProMax in store that day. I was estactic. The T-Mobile store was stocked with every accessory you can think of for your phone. They helped me set up my new iPhone along with the transffering of data. After all that, we erased the data that was on my former iPhone 15. The atmosphere inside the store was warm, and maybe they didn't put on the air conditioning full blast, but it was comfortable enough. The T-Mobile store was a simple set up. It felt inviting. Thankful to the T-Mobile employee who helped me with my purchase. It was ready to use right out of the box after transferring all the data and settings from my old iPhone to my new one. T-Mobile is one of the better carriers out there. They carry the latest phones as well as have nationwide internet service as well as crisp cell service too. Check them out. I would definitely recommend shopping here first or switch carriers if your current one is giving you problems. T-Mobile Ala Moana is located on the 3rd floor of Ala Moana shopping center, directly upstairs from the Jamba Juice and Bloomingdale's wing of the mall. They accept major credit cards, although I am not sure if they accept cash. As far as parking goes, your best bet would be mall level parking as close as you can to the store. There is no shade, but at least you don't have to climb stairs. There's plenty of parking here at the Ala Moana shopping center, but make sure you know where you parked. As for me, many bus routes start or end at Ala Moana shopping center. Choose the route(s) that's perfect for you. And as always, there's always Uber and Lyft if you need them. While the location in the mall might be obscure, it's centralized for your enjoyment. I had to look around to find it the first time, but once I figured it out, I was glad it was here at Ala Moana. We preordered our iPhone 17s two weeks ago and received them today. My phones data and service transferred from the old phone to the new phone at home. Technology has come a long way. I don't know what my husband did, but his service did not transfer over. We came to this location to see if they could help us. It was around 7pm and there were quite a few people inside. The guy taking names by the door said that they close in an hour and probably won't get to us. My husband pressed a few buttons on his phone and got it to transfer over. We're still not sure what happened, but at least both of our new phones are now working. read more

I recently went here to upgrade my iPhone 12 Pro , I've been a customer since Sprint was still a standalone company. lol I've had previous visits to both a T-Mobile and Sprint store where the associates weren't very helpful, but the ones working at this location are all super nice and accommodating. In particular, Reece was the one who initially greeted me and was able to locate my pick up order. He was quick to help when my name did not match my order name, and I was able to edit it on the T-Mobile app. Dante was the associate who helped with transferring all my data to my new iPhone 17pro, and the whole process was super quick and easy. If you already know what you're looking for and what you want to accomplish on your visit , then this store is more than willing to help. They don't really try to sell you any extras or pressure you into adding services or protection you do not need or want. Overall, this is now my preferred T-Mobile location and I will return if I need any assistance with my phone / services. read more

However, the representative set it up for us, and our bill reflected it as a "regular line," resulting in a charge. This negative experience prompted us to never go back again and decided to go at different location which is here, the Ala Moana branch. Fifteen minutes before closing time, Jaci assisted us, along with her manager, whose name I was unable to recall. She took the time and effort to help us without making us feel rushed, even though it was closing time. We walked in to get my Mom a new phone. Rochelle greeted us when we walked in and helped us throughout the entire process. She asked us what we wanted and made the process go by smoothly. Once she got the new phone from the back, it took a bit to get through the computer but we eventually got to the transfer portion of it. That took about 21 min. We left and returned after the time was done. Rochelle had us check to make sure that everything transferred onto my Mom's new phone, then assisted us through the deletion process. Until my recent visit I realize that I've been with T-Moble for 20+ years woah! What keeps me here...customer service! I rarely do have any problems but when I do I've never experience such patience in listening and understanding. Well this visit as I wanted to "check out" on adulting and decided to go way up north to the beach and I lost my phone WAAAAAAA!!!! Long story short many other mishaps followed thankfully I finally made it here at the Ala Moana location. This location is pretty much always so busy but I get the service and detailed check on what I need. I'm SO sorry if I get the names wrong but after waiting for an hour I finally get things taken care of by the Manager, Trevor he checked and checked on available promotion and did all the calculations and came up with the best deal for me and explained it to the best of what my brains can handle. Making the decision on which phone and a few other choices now was the time to get rung up and set up as well...that was done by iloilo (sorry did in lower case so you can tell it's and I) very patient and awesome it did take awhile but was there every step of the way and made sure I can call or visit anytime I have more questions. Absolutely horrible service! My mom doesn't speak English, went in to trade in her iPhone12 pro in the end of November 2022 (qualify for $500 trade in), to get newer iPhone. We have to pay off the remaining balance of the phone and trade in for the deal. Due to the lack of supply of the newer phone at that moment when she initiated the trade in, T-Mobile has to order the new phone. When the new phone arrived in mid-December, we finished the whole process of switching to new phone. However, the trade in dropped to $400 in December. T-Mobile said Nathaniel (manager) will honor the $500 trade-in deal as we started the process in the end of November 2022. They said they will call me back once the issue been resolved. Fast forward March 2023.... I called T-Mobile customer service line, it is still only $400 trade-in; not $500. I called the store at Ala Moana 5 times and got hung up on... is not the money is the principal!!!! I was told $500 when traded in, but only got $400 at the end... read more

After work decided to stop at Ala Moana Shopping center to purchase a new iPhone 13 pro max . I was debating to go to the Apple store or to my cellular phone provider which is T-Mobile. I decided to go to T-Mobile because I figured it would be easier because T-Mobile will load and transfer everything from the old phone to the new . Walked into the T-MOBILE store which is located on the 3rd floor Ewa side of the Ala Moana shopping center . Got greeted right away and salesperson said someone would be right with me. About 5 minutes a salesperson person came and helped me . I advised Jaci the salesperson that I wanted to purchase the iPhone#13 pro max . She then replied what color and if I needed any accessories. I told her I want the blue IPhone and I need a case w/screen protector and also air pods. She quickly got everything together then she advised me that if I wanted to wait until Thursday the new IPhone #14 will be coming in. Also it would only be a difference of $100 more ? So of course decision I needed to make final outcome I just settle for the iPhone #13 pro max . Just wanted to say this particular t/mobile location provided top notch customer service, efficient and very knowledgeable on their products and very friendly and made my shopping experience quick and easy . I went to T-Mobile because there was a campaign that would make the trade-in value $1000. I was originally using this carrier, but I had to switch to a higher plan, so I paid all the fees and signed the contract after checking the condition of the iPhone. The new iPhone arrived by mail, and I transferred all the data and then took the old iPhone. However, the T-Mobile staff refused to accept the trade-in, claiming there were scratches on the phone, even though they had checked it once before. They insisted on paying the full normal amount and offered no solutions. I couldn't understand this, and the manager was of no help. They even changed what they were saying after I had visited the store twice and gone through the trouble of data transfer. It was very frustrating, and despite switching to a more expensive plan and spending a lot of time, they were essentially refusing the trade-in at the last moment. This seems like nothing but a scam. T-Mobile's trade-in plan appears to be a scam. They make customers go through a lot of trouble and then refuse the trade-in, leaving you with the choice of either starting over or becoming a victim of this fraudulent plan. I couldn't accept this absurd situation, so I returned the new iPhone and reverted to my previous plan. Be cautious when buying an iPhone or falling for enticing campaigns with T-Mobile. They seem to change their story and push customers into higher-cost plans while denying the trade-in. Even the manager at the Ala Moana store was unhelpful and didn't stand on the customer's side or try to resolve the issue. This seems to be a coordinated effort, so be careful. read more

As a boomer who travels, T-Mobile is the way to go. For $45 per line, I get Magenta Max 55+ with unlimited call/text/data, plus free Netflix and 1 year of free Apple TV. The coverage in Hawaii has been good. And on a recent trip to Vancouver Canada, my phone worked seamlessly with no roaming charges. I received great service at the Ala Moana store. (First I had stopped by the store at Salt in Kaka'ako, which sucked. The guys yelled at me for asking questions.) read more

Me and My mom came here Friday Afternoon. She lost her watch and wanted to check what she could get, thinking she had insurance. A guy named Juice helped us quickly. We just came from lunch and my mom started having a headache from all the salt. I told her ok, take deep breaths and we can grab water in a bit. Juice overheard nodded his head and grabbed her a water in the back for her. This thoughtfullness went a long way and made us feel cared for. He then looked at our bill and we found insurance was'nt put on the watch. We ended up getting another watch for my mom, added insurance and the bill was around the same as it was. Due to auto-pay and T-mobile paying the last 3 payments of my moms lost watch. He offered us a free Home Wifi Device but we already had one! We also went home with some Koozies and Journals. Overall, such a great experience with Juice, felt comfortable, heard, honest and patient. I was just at T Mobile at Ala Moana Center. Juice helped me and he was fantastic. I had read Yelp reviews before I went and wasn't necessarily looking for Juice because of all the great reviews he had, but luckily he was "assigned" to me. We had issues getting my previous carrier to unlock my SIM card but he was patient and did all the hard work for me. We parked at Ala Moana Shopping Center. Went with the Hubby to upgrade his s8 to s9. May was very friendly and helpful. She transferred data, apps and photos to the new phone. Had some issues transferring all photos from SD memory card - not all transferred, so had to trouble shoot and redownload by Folders so it should be kept in order. It took 2 hours; we shopped around and got a Tech 21 phone case $39.99 & PureGear Screen Protector $44.99. WOW! Really nicely put on tho! I also checked out the cool new SyncUp Drive device for vehicle monitoring, diagnostics, car maintenance, Wi-Fi, roadside assistant. Very cool concept! $72 for the device itself then $10/month for monitoring service. Overall we had a great time! Learned a lot about the new Bixby feature - kinda like Siri but also the Bixby Vision is in Camera app and that has a cool Eye that can take a Live Photo and get all sorts of information / where to buy product and translation feature. Just park anywhere in the new parking structure and take the elevator up to the upper Mall level and cross the sky bridge and they will be right on your left hand side. Being located at the Ala Moana Shopping Center makes it super convenient to pick up your T-Mobile Tuesday swag! Yes, that's right if you have T-Mobile, you get something free every Tuesday! It could be a discounted movie ticket or a Papa John's Pizza, ice cream from Baskin Robbins, a baseball cap, Valentine's Day socks, or even an awesome cape for Halloween. Long time T-Mobile customer for umpteen years, so loyal that I've always gotten personable customer help from Anthony when he was at the Alakea Store, followed his schedule from when he'd bounce around from Kahala Mall to Ala Moana. Really bummed that he moved to the mainland. So anyways this past weekend, my old cell phone, the network completely went out when I was off island. Kept resetting if that could have trouble shoot it. Thought it was going to be up and running in a few hours, it was still out overnight. Called customer care several times asking for an estimated time for repairs and 5G upgrades to be complete. Still no exact time. When I returned to Honolulu on the last flight, I went straight to Ala Moana before the mall closed to get some more help. Jen was really nice and helpful. She gave me the option of using my phone insurance, but will take a few days for the loaner phone to arrive especially because it's being mailed from the mainland. I decided on holding off another day and purchasing an upgrade the next day from the Apple Store. Btw the iOS transfer takes hours, by the time it was complete, I still couldn't complete the Apple login. Went in first thing today, Apple could do about half of the process, but upon arriving back at T-Mobile, Thomas another customer care staff completed my SIM card transfer operating my current mobile # on my new phone. Bit of a process, a few stops and yields, but I'm amazed at how my data, pics, and about every single contact info was saved! I'm not sure if I'm completely satisfied with the transfer, because now I have to figure out exactly which apps, bookmarks, and miscellaneous info was on the old device. T-Mobile's network has choppy signal off island and even in certain areas of Honolulu International Airport. I hope when they complete the 5G system upgrades, that they will have the largest and fastest as they keep promoting. The reason why I've stayed with T-Mobile for years is because they have the best family rates and for international travel, roaming is built into the plans, also when you have multiple lines and extra devices in the same household. read more
