My entire experience with this company, was unfortunately very frustrating from experiencing their bad parking and smelly walk of human feces and urine to their building (lots of homeless nearby) to their cheaply designed room, and frustrating long lines, and finally having their mobile broadband service not work for my Mom in her home and being automatically billed even after we cancelled the service, which in turn had me visiting their office a third time in less than two weeks. As of August 20, 2014 - My recent visit to this location was disturbing. I was told they didn't have any stock on cell phones except for a few models (this was for all locations). In addition, they didn't have any clue as to when phones would be back in or what phones would be offered. I was told that calling back in a month or so would be my best bet. My company cell phone is in desperate need of replacement as it is nearing the end of its 2+ year life. As I was browsing the phones on display I was told that they didn't work because they were just there to fill a once empty display. I cannot fathom why Mobi would allow a lapse in available product for its customers! It just doesn't make any good business sense...The explanation I was given: Mobi was bringing in new phones that would better suit the needs of their customers. Apparently, too many phones were ordered before and never sold, so they are re-evaluating their current phones being offered. This is all good...but where's the urgency and continuity being offered to customers? If my current cell phones dies will I get stuck buying one of their leftover phones that I don't really want? Based on my experience, Mobi PCS seems to be in very poor shape. Our company will be taking our business elsewhere. read more

Not a Very Good Company. Service is below standard. Making an appointment to have my Phone serviced another Customer Service agent will get back to me to make the Appointment. When that Agent called me back the appointment was scheduled for Monday, but another CS Agent would get back to me to confirm Monday but it could be Tuesday or Wednesday. Where I live on Hawaii Island I have no reception at my Home and can not make a call or use the Mobile Data service. Always "OUT OF SERVICE AREA or NO SERVICE". The Verizon Antenna is less than a mile from me. I 've been told by other providers that Mobi has lost some of the there shared space with carriers. Service has really gone down. Currently looking to move my 5 Phone Family Plan to another more dependable Cell Phone Carrier. Have been with Mobi for 10 years Would not recommend Mobi as Quality suffers. B K read more

I SWITCHED TO T-MOBILE! Here's why: Yes, when I signed up, Mobi PCS was the cheapest service around and the coverage was good enough cause I never left the island. For the low price, I put up with so-so internet speed/quality, long wait times at the stores, and the call center customer service reps who spoke poor English and knew next to nothing about anything (it's like you're asking a random person on the street for help). Tip: if you need help, ask the store people first cause they know way more than the call center people. Here's why I said bye-bye: Mobi jerked me around and wasted my time needlessly. Water damage to phone caused me to lose all my important work numbers and I had no back up. I had just sent out a mass text 4 days before at 9:30am. If I could have seen my phone record from that day and time, I would've had all my numbers back. I called customer service and after speaking with 2 people, was told that I needed to write a letter of request to Custodian of Records, Paul Maes. Eventually, Paul got back to me, said that I needed to obtain and submit a legal subpoena to Mobi before they'd turn over the records. "Where do I get a legal subpoena?" I asked. "From the clerk at the courthouse," Maes replied. I go to the courthouse and ask a clerk about getting a legal subpoena. Clerk says that I need to get a lawyer and a court order before I can get the subpoena and that it'd probably cost around $400-500. Shocked and upset, I call Maes back. After a heated discussion, he confessed that basically Mobi doesn't want the work/expense of going through phone records for customers so they DELIBERATELY make it as difficult as possible. If Mobi wants to be cheap-ass, that's fine - I signed up for cheap. But be honest about it instead of JERKING PEOPLE AROUND. I could've saved 5 days of difficulty following up on this matter, going to the courthouse in the middle of the day, etc. if I had just been told up-front what the process would've been. Even if the call center customer reps didn't know, Paul Maes sure knew when he spoke to me the first time. Like any adult, I welcome up-front honesty. No need for shadiness. T-mobile is just as cheap as Mobi PCS but better: all their phones are the newest, latest models, you receive detailed activity summaries, no activation fees. UPDATE: Was contacted by Andy from Mobi PCS a few days after posting my review. He was calm and friendly and wanted more details on my situation to better understand what happened and to share the details at a meeting with his CEO so that they could figure out a way to improve customer service. I was impressed that he called and expressed genuine caring and interest - it removed some of the sourness I felt towards Mobi PCS. read more

I found this out from paying my bill at another Mobi location, when Mobi texts you about a cancellation notice, pay it ON THE PHONE!!!! I just recently stopped by a neighborhood location due to tech billing problems on the phone....instead of paying what was texted to me, I ended up paying $3 more for a "convenience fee"....whaaat??? my convenience would have been IF the phone svc did not have problems and could accept my payment. I have to stick with them thou cuz they are the cheapest. read more

I like the fact that this location has a parking lot in the back and that you have to get validation. That means lots of parking and nothing to worry about. The store is small and the staff is few, but they are helpful with anything you need. I don't have a phone from mobi but do have hele wireless internet. If I'm having trouble with it I usually visit this location. And they like to bump reggae while you wait. Cool beans. read more

I've been a mobi customer for some time now. Overall, I am very pleased with everything they offer. My monthly phone bill is extremely low compared to my previous other provider and I am very pleased with how they take care of their customers. I had purchased my phone at the nanakuli location and got great service. I wasn't the easiest customer with me having so many questions about billing options and changing my phone number. It took a while but I was rewarded with a great phone and an awesome monthly bill. The person that helped me was a woman named Raycie. I will definitely be going to her if any problems arise or I suddenly have more questions to ask. read more

Noelle provides solid backup, and fields the pop-flies, wisely yielding to her senior players when problem-patrons like me with my old Sprint annoyance-phone, or the "I make $200 and hour, I don't need this s**t" loon that provided an interesting interlude during that visit. Clearly Treasure and Robert both dabble in crowd control as well - you don't want to be the demanding, ungrateful, angry, abusive street-wacko looking for a technician/punching-bag when you walk into this store, even if it's a slow time: if firm diplomacy fails, they will F your S up. There's no predicting when there will be lines of people - a reconnaissance drive-by might be wise, because staff attentiveness has to drop when they get cranking. Another salesperson recently told me that 4G is on the way - keeping my fingers crossed for that. read more

Purchased the Hele internet service, the service is very slow, I put up with it for a long while. I decided to terminate the contract. I payed for the early release. A year later a collection agency called me and demanded that I pay them money I owed mobi. I found the contract and gave the collection agency the information. They stopped calling but the screw up found it's way onto my credit report. Mobi couldn't have just called me and we could have worked everything out on the spot...no. They had to screw me over one last time...be careful when dealing with this company and above everything save the paperwork. read more

We arrived at the store & there were 2 representatives already helping 2 customers. We walk in & not even a simple "hello, hi welcome" or acknowledgment that we even entered the store. They were busy, its okay. Theres a couple sitting down but Im guessing they were with one customer already being helped. So they have a sign in sheet right by the door, my other half puts our name on the board & we wait patiently for about 15-20mins. In those 15-20mins, I see him leave to a backroom about 4-5 times. Looking outside staring at the cop (giving a lady a ticket infront of the store) As time is passing, 2 more customers enter the store & stand around looking like they're about to make a payment (because of the cash they were holding) walking closer & closer to the counter like she was next. Still patiently waiting. One rep is finally done & says "Can i help whos next" staring at the woman that came in after us & she moves toward the counter. 1) Why have a sign in sheet if your not gonna refer to it? 2) If you paid attention to your store? You would have seen that we were waiting way before these woman walked in. So I say outloud, "how about us? We were here first waiting?". With attitude, he responded with "well thats why I said, whos next?". Unfortunately he did not have a nametag so I was unable to catch his name so that I dont have to speak so badly about all of them. We asked our questions & ended up leaving because of the lack of common decency. That one rep in particular gave horrible customer service & we will not be back anytime soon (: AT&T took well care of us & we couldn't thank them enough! read more

Very disappointed with my service through mobi. I knew when I switched from Verizon to mobi pcs I would be downgrading in coverage (phone didn't even work on the mainland unless on wifi), but I still expected decent service. Unfortunately every time I've gone in to get a new phone (three times now) they've had none of the phones I'm interested in. Generally these are the good ones! The only thing you can walk out of the store with is a "certified pre owned" one that is many prior models behind. It's a bummer. Then today I went in because I lost my phone last night and I needed to upgrade to the new mobi anyway so I went in hoping to get a newer iPhone. All they had available were iPhone 5's :( The service options also changed and now I had to choose from Verizon or sprint coverage...well guess what mobi?! Not having the products available in store just lost you a customer. The guy actually suggested that I go to Best Buy for a phone and come back to go through them for service. Nope. Going to Verizon. Got me an iPhone 6plus and a new plan. #boom read more

Mobi has the worst customer service! I understand that they only charge $35 for a basic phone line, but they are so unhelpful! I had a phone that needed upgrading, but didn't know til 2 weeks later-when I finally realized the phone was shut off-because they didn't inform us of the upgrade. We had automatic payments and never missed a payment for 2 years and the moment our credit card number changes and they can't retrieve a payment the phone is cut off. They did no means to contact us to collect payment! Not even by mail! Switched to Verizon and will be paying $20 more-- but thankfully I will never have to deal with the unknowledgable, unhelpful and unreliable service of mobi again! read more

I have been with mobi for over 6 years, with really no problems until today ! I went in with a simple transaction to make payment for the month. And the person who help me did not smile or apologized to what happened next. She slide my card not once, not twice but three times !, then ask me if I could call my bank to see if the transaction went through. My bank told me that they charge me three times, and that they need them to do certain things to get it off my account. By this time the other woman or should I say Ms attitude took over the situation. I explain to her what was going on, which shes thinking I am giving her attitude. So she goes to get her manager on line, and this customer in the back of me. Which he has been in earlier trying to hit on this woman that was helping me now. Starts getting into my business on who, what, when so to speak. My husband has been sitting quietly in the back trying not to get upset on what is happening, but he had enough!! He started telling this man to mind his own business and not get involved in it, the man was explaining his theory on it. By now my husband is upset cause this man kept rattling on, so the woman came in and tried to defuse the situation with no avail. Then she started pushing my husband out of the store and with that my husband started calling her bad names which she said she wasn't afraid of him and will call the cops. Apparently her manager was on the phone and heard my husbands outburst and had called them already. I removed my husband from the store to wait in the car, which he did and went back in to resolve this problem. Another Customer in the store had told this man that he shouldn't get involved in peoples affair which that is why my husband got involved too. Now this woman told me that the police were on there way and I should leave so we don't get in trouble! Hows that one, mind you they never resolved or even apologized for there mistake!! Then I went to the Mobi in Nanakuli, and they handled the problem without hesitation or made me feel that I was in the wrong. All I was trying to do was pay my bill and got all of this attitude that was not necessary. If they had treated me with respect and resolved the problem in a kind manner none of this would not have happened !! A Big Shout Out to Peter that resolved my problem with kindness and respect!! I just learned that Scott is no longer working here and I can't help but be extremely disappointed. I was really looking forward to purchasing new phones from him for my family. He always provided me with outstanding customer service! He paid very close attention to my family's needs and was able to recommend plans, devices, and accessories that would best suit our different lifestyles. Many of my friends who are also Mobi customers have said the same! I truly believe Scott is the type of sales representative that any retailer would be lucky to have. His positive attitude and willingness to go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction is something of great value. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for other people working at this location. I went in once and recognized one of the girls because she worked at the Kam Shopping Center location. I had a run in with her before at the Kam location when I went in to ask for help regarding my son's phone. I'm not sure if she's under trained or simply lacks an interest for working with people, but she was extremely rude, unprofessional, and not the least bit helpful towards me or any of the other people in the store that day. I went in on another day for the same issue that she hadn't fixed and Scott was able to assist me right away. I'm not sure what that girl's position is now at this location, but it seems that many of the newer girls also possess the same traits; working with an attitude and taking no interest in customers' needs. I happened to recognize that the manager here is from the Kam Shopping Center location as well and can't help but think that the attitudes of the sales representatives is the direct result of poor management and training. It's unfortunate that Mobi has such great things to offer, but lacks the appropriate customer service needed to retain customers. My family and I truly miss Scott and really wish he would come back to help us with our wireless needs! However, that seems highly unlikely and thus, we are considering switching wireless carriers. Although it may be more expensive, I'm sure it will be well worth the great customer service that other retailers are willing to provide. Side note: I also heard from a few friends that they overheard the sales representatives talking about how they should get their friends to make up good reviews for them on Yelp and Facebook. A company should not have to pester people to write "fake" reviews if they constantly provide exceptional customer service. Just a thought. read more

I went to get my daughter a cell phone for her birthday and I had asked the manager to put it towards direct deposit twice (which I had found out from my daughter that he didn't) and he also got her birth date wrong. When you call the store to leave a message on their answer machine they don't return messages and you have to keep calling to get someone. Are they busy...No, they aren't that busy! I have been a Mobi customer for many many years and never thought this day would come. I recently have noticed bad reception increasing at an enormous rate. Also I have noticed my data plan has changed and now to a low 2.5 GB. So halfway through my month I run out of data. So I get help from customer service who is rude and sarcastic. So I call back and change to the premium plan. The next day my phone shuts off because of problems on their end. So I go in and after 2 hours they can't help me. They turn my phone on and says it won't work properly but it will work. Then ten days after updating my plan they say I'm out of data. I have never used 5 GB in ten days and I don't see how. But customer service says it's my fault deal with it. So I have had enough of this 3rd rate service from Mobi Pcs. You guys have had years of profits and could have reinvested properly. But to realize it now and screw your customers in the process. I will boycott you like monsato, sorry but you have made a enemy out of the wrong person. read more
