Apparently there is a vast difference between a phone kiosk purporting to be a TMobile outlet and the actual TMobile store on Beretania. The service we've had at the TMobile outlet inside of Don Quixote has always been horrendous. And the last time we went in (oh mebe 2 months ago) a plug eared cocky kid was smoking an ecigarette. Jesus. I could tell he knew it was bad form since he huffed behind the counter whenever he could but it was plain to see that his sniffles be damned, he was going to have his mist fix.
The older co-worker who was a bit more reserved and mature said that their boss is really lax about that sort of thing. Schlurping hot soup from a Campbell's can is OK too I guess, because pluggy was at that too. As sick as pluggy was, those e-cigs seem counterproductive to his glassy eyes and watery nose. Stay home. Get well. And quit those e-cigs that you think are "healthier" for you. They are not. With our without nicotine cartridges, I don't know of any educated person who thinks that constantly inhaling water vapor is necessarily good for the lungs. Bacteria ladened from the old spit inside of your mouthpiece could probably give you a hacking cough, m'friend.
So it was with great delight that my brother and I walked into the T-Mobile store on Beretania right after eating shrimp/veggie noodles at Asia Mix, Tea Time a few steps across the way. At under 10 dolla, it's well worth it. I dare you to eat a whole one. I couldn't. But chew those great, fresh noodles slowly and well. I almost choked to death. A happy death though, no doubt.
Within seconds of opening the TMobile door, a dear young woman named, Dwayne yes, you read it correctly,( Dwayne is a she), approached us with a clipboard to ask us if we needed help. She was very pretty, young and also as refined as they come. She was extremely knowledgable about TMobile products but also very capable as an iphone and accessories salesperson too. About as capable as they come, bar none. Dwayne showed us around and answered questions in a professional manner, went to check on stock, my brother's account, explained several options and discussed accessories. My knowledge of iPhone 5S is OK but my bro is very limited in his understanding and practical use of smartphones.
Yet, Dwayne insulted neither of us by her quick answers, continued focus on our needs, calm and patient attitude and remained a wealth of information regarding out many questions. She took our combined ignorance with good humor but never got silly or unprofessional. She is not, li'DAT kine. She is very refined.
As a salesperson, Dwayne is top notch. My whole attitude towards TMobile has changed for the better. I will never step foot in the kiosk purporting to be a TMobile representative, at Don Quixote.....ever. But if you have any concerns and feel as though you might be put down at any store for your lack of knowledge and know~how about androids or iPhones, see Dwayne at this TMobile store location.
We left with a new iphone 5S for bro, a belt clip holder, a car charger, and a wonderful bluetooth speaker for my laptop which I have been needing for a long time. TMobile was running a buy 2 get one free sale on accessories and we would not have gotten all of those items if it hadn't been for Dwayne mentioning it to us. She is a great sales associate and when I say great, I mean for TMobile but the customer as well. She didn't push any product but did explain each one carefully to us.
TMobile, I hope you're reading this. This sales associate is special. Dwayne was never condescending, she is highly professional and knowledgeable about the products and plans, reserved by nature and not at all pushy or loud as some sales personnel can tend to be. I must say that every employee there that afternoon was industrious, as busy as they could be and all of them seemed to engage their customers promptly, efficiently and courteously. I might have been able to write about any one of your fine employees but I just so happened to have lucked out with Dwayne.
It was our great pleasure to have been helped by her and feel that more than a shout out for this fine, young woman should be dedicated to her. If I were her employer, I would not only value her expertise in dealing with the less than stellar customer (us) but would also keep my eye on her as a potential managerial level position employee. TMobile you would be well advised to keep your eye on this gem.
Lookit, she was more than great. Dwayne is the reason I am always going back to that TMobile store, the reason I am recommending to all my friends to see her if they have any TMobile needs and lastly, she is the real reason I am spending the time to carefully describe the treatment we received and how grateful I am to TMobile. Going on well over a dozen years, I was a customer who was ready to jump ship from TMobile and I have found a reason to stay loyal for a long, long time! Thanks to Dwayne! read more
