Customer service leaves a lot to be desired. I came in to buy a OnePlus 6T and upgrade from my lg g6. They started the order then said there was a $20 upgrade fee. I paused, confused, asking why I had to pay $20 just to buy the phone. The employee suddenly looked angry and said, "that's how we get our money!" I was taken aback and said, "Ok...but I can buy it online directly from OnePlus and not pay $20. The phone is the same price through them." "Yeah but then you can't finance it." "Ok, that makes sense, but I planned to just pay all at once anyway. If I can't waive the fee I'll just buy online and save the money." "Fine." and then the employee walked away. I stood there for a moment, since they walked into the back room, then decided I guess I should just leave. Felt super awkward and felt like they just wanted my money rather than to provide actual customer support and assistance. Here's my story and I hope somebody can help me do something against this company I've been with T-Mobile for over 5 years in May I purchased a Google 6 pro phone but the phone was effective from the beginning when I spoke with customer service the guy that I spoke with his name was John and that's all I have said that I could return the phone so that I wouldn't have to go through insurance since the phone was new and otherwise I would get a refurbished phone which wasn't right so I returned the phone to T-Mobile in the meantime while the phone was getting to them they were recording that they have received it the phone they said they had to record it in the warehouse I went on June 5th to the T-Mobile store near me and bought a watch for my phone but since I have purchased the T-Mobile phone or the Google phone through a payment plan through T-Mobile I said I did not want to have a balance for the phone and I decided to pay it off I paid it off with my credit card it was about 718.75 the T-Mobile received their phone it was marked as received and everything on July 1st ever since then I've been trying for T-Mobile to pay me back the 718.75 I paid at the T-Mobile store they keep refusing to pay me because they said that their billing is different than the billing in the store that only the store could refund me I went to the store three times spoke with the manager showed him my receipt and told them that they needed to reimburse me they even spoke with the customer service and they refused to do it because by now it had been over 30 days since I had made my payment so at this point we're on August 15th and T-Mobile hasn't given me my money back the store won't give me my money back and I had to go through my credit card but I recently found out that my credit card that they declined paying the credit card back the decline the claim so the credit card is having to file again this is extremely wrong and they're taking advantage of me and the fact that I don't have money to go hire a lawyer and take them to court T-Mobile is the worst company out there read more

AVOID THIS T-MOBILE LOCATION AT ALL COSTS!!! The staff are extremely disrespectful and not helpful whatsoever. I wish I read some reviews before going. I walked up to the service counter and let them know that I had recently broken my phone screen and was looking to get a new phone there since I'm a T-Mobile customer. The girl proceeds to say "I am so busy right now, I do not have time for this." I was literally the only customer in the store and the other 2 workers just stared at me until one "offers" to help me but literally does not help me at all. He does not show or offer me any phones. I went in with a way better phone than the phone t mobile provided me from AT&T and worked with AT&T to get a code to unlock my phone. Three of my family members are on the same plan. I went to the Clayton store and couldn't even get any of them to look at my paperwork with the unlock code that was already applicable through AT&T for five days. Zero customer service and sent their customer away to AT&T. I went back and told them I was going to report them to corporate and their dread lock manager starts walking out eyeballing me like he wants to fight with the ghetto girls in the back waving bye like I was a nuecence. If I could give this location zero stars, I would. Been a t-mobile customer for 15 years and this experience with Veronica has made me want to abandon their service entirely. She messed up my new account and the family account I transferred from so horribly that 3 weeks later, we are still spending hours on the phone trying to fix them both. I've spent no less than 4 hours in the store and 8 hours on the phone trying to fix her massive errors. Go to ANY other location than this one!! read more

I would not recommend this location unless you get any promos or offers in writing. I switched to T-Mobile on July 31 and was offered a promo that was not honored. I learned this when I got an email saying I was getting a trade in credit of $10 per phone vs the $800 I was offered. Upon contacting T-Mobile by phone I was told I would need to discuss this with the store where purchased. The store manager in Clayton, Keith said the 2 sales reps I worked w no longer work there. Keith went on to say you know how people always try to take advantage of retail when they can He shows no interest in resolving my issue. Keith refuses to give me his last name or the contact info for the next level Manager. Beware of not getting what you are offered!!! And just now after 1:33 mins on the phone I learn that the store Manager KEITH could give me $100 credits to use towards my bill. This has not been offered. read more

One star is two stars too many! Its not a real T-Mobile, its Alltel owned and they carry TMobile products. Not a chance will we step foot back in here. The latest fiasco - we bought a new iPhone and brought it back within the 14 day return window. The phone was defective - ok, maybe not the fault of the establishment but 4 years ago, we bought a windows phone and it was also defective. Trend? Maybe! But hey, that's ok, we returned the iPhone and the clerk says, 'well, its defective so we will waive the restocking fee' - really? I'm not returning it for another color, honey, its DEFECTIVE, BROKEN, and cost a lot of money. Oh but wait, there's a $45 dollar screen protector on the phone that they sold me. Nope, can't refund that. Accessories are "non refundable." Um, excuse me. You're phone is defective yet I have to pay for something that is 100% tied to your piece of $hit? Oh no, sorry, that's BS. And oh yea, don't get me started about it not being a real, TMobile Corporate store. You've lost this customer for life - and I'll still be a TMobile customer. Never again will we return to this store. When we walked in we were the only customers inside. There were three employees standing in a row and not one of them said a word. Not hi, hello, welcome, can I help you ...Nothing! I'm not sure the employee's name that we spoke with but what I can say is he needs to learn some customer service skills. If they continue to hire incompetent employees who do not know how to interact with customers you will continue losing business. We asked the employee who had tattoos covering his arms, if they had a certain phone in the store and before we could finish our question he interrupted by saving "their discontinued". I asked why they were still available on T-Mobiles web site and he said they may have them but their discontinued! He didn't even try to help us out with picking out another phone. He just stood there like we were wasting his time. I than asked if they were offering any specials or deals if we purchased two phones? And his quick, sharp blunt answer was "No"! He offered nothing but a bad attitude. He should have at least made an attempt to help by showing us what phones would be available in the price range we were looking at, instead of being a jerk! We turned around and left the store because we were not going to stay in an establishment who hire rude employees that don't seem to want to be there either. read more

i had quite a good experience here trying to hook up two samsung tablets to their data plan. it wasn't a straightforward data card insertion but the associates bany and chris were really helpful with doing the research to get them to work. i noticed they were also extremely patient with the long line of customers and i have to rate their service and effectiveness as topnotch! read more

Today, my husband and I were looking into switching to a different phone carrier. We have 4 phones that we have on an AT&T plan and looking for better reception. We went into this store and talked with Mia and Alicia J ( Manager ) and these ladies took all the time to answer our questions and explain things ( sometimes more than once ) to us. I needed help with my dad"s phone and went by this T-Mobil store for the first time, I had to ask if I can come in because the young man in there was to busy looking at his phone, I approached this young man named Josh and asked if he could help us with my dad's phone that was giving him problems and immediately noticed he did not want to help us at all and answered me very rudely saying I don't want to touch your phone! so I was trying to explain the problem and he just would look away, so I went and asked the other young man that was there his name was Keith , and he gladly helped us , solved the problem and I even bought another phone and he transferred all our info to the new phone and was very helpful, I greatly appreciated his help and was very great full . So next time if I go back I would straight definitely go to Keith because apparently Josh doesn't even look like he wants to work there because while I was being helped by Keith another customer walked in and I saw how he treated the other customer and he continued being very rude to the other customer as well. read more

I have had their phone service since the ice age and decided it was time for a new handset. Did my research and went in to look at the phones. Dylan in the store assured me that the phone I was looking at had a memory card slot and other features that I knew were not the case. I did watch CNET review before going. I have been a T-Mobile customer for many years and haven't always had the best customer service in a variety of different stores. Joe spend a lot of time helping me with various situations with my old phone. After giving me advice on ways to fix my old phone (galaxy s3) I opted out to buying the phone he recommended for me(galaxy s5). Joe was very knowledgeable on all the devices I was interested in and made me aware of the upsides and downsides of each phone. I purchased the phone and Joe helped me from start to finish setting it up and transferring things from my old phone. I appreciated his honesty and lack of pushiness, which made me want to buy a phone from him even more. His passion for T-Mobile as a company and maintaining it's integrity and close clientele - based customer service experience made me feel obliged to write this review to let who ever the manager of this store know that Joe is wonderful and was extremely helpful. I was about to switch carriers, and if Joe wasn't there that night giving me a run down of the benefits of being a customer with T-Mobile, I would have. As someone who knows nothing about phones I am very grateful that Joe was there to help from start to finish!!! read more

Went in to buy a new iPhone to replace a broken Samsung. Remy was super helpful. I'd give him 4 stars (he seemed new, and didn't have ALL the answers, but was polite, patient and helpful). Unfortunately for us, another employee, Maria, kept interrupting us, putting her 2 cents in. She came across with a rude, snarky attitude on top of it. She claimed she would try and help us save money, but then suggested a plan that was a higher monthly cost. Umm maybe time to go back to elementary math Maria. She even had the nerve to call me "crazy" for choosing to pay the cost of the phone up front. Really?! I'm putting down a lot of money in your store, you need to learn the basics of good CUSTOMER SERVICE, Maria. Whoever runs this store ought to think twice about employing her. On the flip side, Remy was great, I recommend working with him. Keep up the good work, Remy! Another downside of this store, the Wi-Fi was not working so they were not able to help set up the new phone. A cell phone store should have its technology working properly. Probably best to go elsewhere for your next phone. read more
