It was time for an upgrade. My phone's wear and tear is beginning to show, so before it goes into a complete meltdown (exaggerating, of course) I decided it was time. Enter Luis who helped us. He did everything with ease using our own phones. Honestly, I kinda felt like a fool at how easy it was ordering new units simply by using the T-Life app which is what he did. (But I was already in the area, so why not...) But being an expert and all, the whole process would have been faster with him anyway. I ordered a new phone through the T-Mobile website on 8/13/24 (a month and a half ago) and was charged $470. The phone never arrived, and was clearly stolen from UPS. I have now had to call them 3 times for a total of 3.5 hours just to try to get reimbursed for the phone I never received. They keep telling me they're "opening an investigation" or "waiting on a response to the investigation" and also telling me the investigation is waiting for the phone to arrive to their warehouse. Explain to me please why a customer has to pay in time and money ($470, 3.5 hours worth of phone calls, and a month and a half of not being reimbursed) because the company or their shipping carrier "lost" a phone that was very clearly stolen from UPS...and how is a phone that was STOLEN supposed to arrive to their warehouse...before they can close the investigation and reimburse me? MAKE IT MAKE SENSE. I had to file a claim with the BBB, and as soon as I get reimbursed, I'm leaving T-Mobile and will never do business with them again. I've been a customer for close to 20 years. Never in my life have I experienced anywhere near this level of horrible service - or fraud. read more

We decided to switch from ATT phone and internet to T-Mobile. When we arrived the store manager and JT greeted us. Was very impressed with the customer service. JT spent much time with us in helping us switch over. We kept one phone got another new phone and the wifi internet. We ended up with a better product better internet and saving over 100 a month. JT did not upsell us and was quite frank on what they can do for us. He did mention it's always better to go into the store than doing purchases online since they can make sure everything is done right. JT did not rush us and of course they seem to care about their customers. We've been to other cellular places and always seem to be treated as we're more of a inconvenience. Thank you JT and to the store manager for being polite and taking your time to help us out and giving some advice along the way. Highly recommend this store! If zero was an option, I would be giving them no stars. Miss. Kay (probably short for Karen) had the worst attitude and was disrespectful to my friends. She kept cutting my friend off when she was trying to speak and wouldn't complete a simple phone transfer. We aren't to be in the middle of a store turf war; we just wanted a phone, but she was on something else entirely. We spent the whole time wondering who had hurt her that day! Like it's not that deep! It shouldn't take over two hours for a simple phone transfer. Still waiting as I type this and I hope this nightmare ends soon. read more

I came in to do an upgrade but also escape from sprint and their confusing plans. Rosie assisted me in that process. She went above and beyond and was very patient and helped answer all of my questions. She wrote nearly everything down so that we can do comparisons and breakdowns of the phone amount and new plan costs. I was in the location for quite a while and from what I can see they are all a great employees and assist all of their customers as best as they can. The location was definitely a bit busy because of the holidays but they have a lot of employees who are ready to assist when it's your turn. read more

Just switched from expensive AT&T to T-Mobile. Got my phone at the Lakewood store and reps were very helpful. I noticed the next day that there was a tiny dent on the bottom of my phone. I went into the Carson store, showed the employees my receipt, and told them about the defect. The fat girl behind the counter started whispering to one of the guys as if I was lying about it. Suddenly, the guys comes over and tells me they would charge a $50 restocking fee to return it. First off, I didn't ask to return the damn phone. I wanted another NEW one that was not defective!!!! Needless to say, I didn't feel like arguing. I kept the damn phone and went about my business. Their company is hard up for money, not me. But the employees can be much more pleasant and helpful toward customers. It was a good 20 people in there huffing and puffing, standing and waiting around. If employees don't want to deal with customers for minimum wage, that's their problem, but the attitudes need to be adjusted! read more

In my initial visit to buy a new phone I went to this location and everything went smooth but 2 days later my wife returns to buy 2 screen protectors paid in full and they asked her for all her info about her account just for screen protectors that was odd. Our 1st bill comes and its a little higher than it should have and it turns out they added 3 items for a phone we don't own to our bill. We are currently working on fixing this issue with Tmobile but will not be visiting this location ever read more

When you enter the building, you are welcomed in and they tell you they will be right with you. My phone wasn't receiving calls, nor could I call out. Ruben took my phone, tried everything he could with no good results, so his supervisor called customer care, letting them no what the issue was and ask them to expedite the repair to my phone. 14 year customer here and today was the worst for this store. Went in to upgrade 2 phone and purchase a 3rd. Mind you 7 lines with T-Mobile. Problem is with the IPHONE XR. They let you jump at with the payoff amount is half. But here is the catch They need to see a water damage indicator that is hidden in the sim slot. The IPHONE XR seems to have shipped with out this indicator. Simple google search you see the problem. SO WHY doesn't t-mobile. So my question was to the manager Mario Flores did you check to make sure it was there when you sold it if you are requiring it to trade it in. His response is no. I said why if you require it then there should be an inspection done prior to selling the device to ensure it meets the quality that t-mobile is requiring? His response was no they all have them and you had to have done something to the phone. That accusation from the manager was where I took issue. Customer service needs to trained and processes need to be in place to protect the consumer for what seems to be a scam type deal. T-mobile corporate needs to make sure issues like this are addressed at the store levels so customers are treated this way. I in turn call 611 and t-mobile customer service WAS AWESOME. She took care of the problem and got a new iphone shipped ASAP. The manager at the store should have called customer service first to see if he could help but he didn't he was adamant he was right. That is fine but that why the store front will loose customers and trust cause they have lost mine. Conclusion, don't take what the store says as the final answer. Always call customer service if something doesn't seem right. read more

This location is a scam. I trade in my phone and the first charge was 299 when I ask my receipt he said he can print but will come via email. The email came after 2 days and charged me power adapter for the iPhone 15 pro I purchased. I called customer service why I got charged, the rep said because I phone 15 doesn't include the charger and T-Mobile has to sell separately. T-Mobile can't add items to customers without our knowledge. I have a lot of adapters at home , I don't need a new one. SCAMERs! Again I went the same store after I received my phone to activate it. The sales person that helped me is not professional at all. First of all he's was watching a game in his phone while working on my phone. Second they have no knowledge of the items selling in the store. He said the screen protector that he convinced me to purchase has life time warranty. When I registered it has only 2 years. He already stick the screen protector and put my phone case and trash all the boxes. That way I don't return it. ANOTHER SCAM. T-Mobile and its associates are stealing our money. Great customer service! I was faithful to AT&T for so many years but was finally persuaded to move on. My Blackberry kicked the bucket after 2 years of dropping it on a daily basis. My boyfriend had recently purchased the G1 ans was more than happy with t-mobile's service. He mentioned making a trip to the store to browse for phones. Honestly, I'm very apprehensive about these stores. Working in a salary and comission based job, I know an employee's priority is to make a sale, and a high one at that. But the boyfriend promised everything would be fine.. As soon as we entered we were greeted by staff. We weren't confronted by an overbearing employee. we were free to roam around and browse. My initial plan was to get the MyTouch. Android based phone all the way..I wanted a keyboard though, so I wasn't sure. A sales guy comes up and asks if we need assistance. Told him I was considering the MyTouch but wasn't happy with the no-keyboard thing. He then mentions the Motorola Cliq (which I am using to write this review). Had no idea what he was talking about so he shows me the phone and goes away so that I can inspect the phone for some time. The good thing about dating a geek with a superior knowledge in computers, video games and the like: he's gonna research and research a product until he's 100% sure it's good. "This is your kind of phone, and better quality than the MyTouch." After pretending to listen to his babble about all the capacities of this phone (insert elevator music here), I gave in. Thirty minutes later, we confronted a sales gal. Not only was she very helpful, but she also got us a student discount! I wanted to keep the same phone number, so she gave me a business card with her info. She would call AT&T to canccel my account with them. She didn't try to sell anything extra. Told me to call or email for questions. Once I got home, I gave the phone a test when I e-mailed the lady with the account info. This was about 8-9pm. She responded within an hour and canceled the AT&T account. That's serious customer skills. AT&T reps never used this type of professionalism. I'm glad I switched. And for unlimited call, txt and web at a discounted price, they converted me. This location gets a 5-star in my book. Highly recomend Yolanda! read more

A very unprofessional conduct from "store manager" EDDIE WALKER. EDDIE does not deserve this position as a manager since he cannot commit to dedicate his best service to his customers. EDDIE lied and told us to come back after 45 mins since he will be attending his lunch break. We just needed to fix our overpriced monthly bill, simple as that, but EDDIE literally ignored us. It was only 6pm but EDDIE told us to come back the next day so he himself can fix the issue. EDDIE could have had another one of his associates to assist us. But he didn't. After 45 mins, we found out he had actually clocked out for the day. Other employees and customers heard this altercation but nobody bothered to step in. MR EDDIE WALKER, you are a simply rude, dishonorable employee. You do not have any right to abuse your position as "store manager." It is ridiculous here. Tried to use my jump plan to upgrade to the iPhone X Max and they say they don't have any stock and they have to wait a week to be reordered. I finally go back and waited in line for TWO AND A HALF HOURS. there was only 1 sale associate on the floor most of the time. I step out and call the branch, and they say there is no wait time yet, THERES STILL TWO PEOPLE IN FRONT OF ME. This is a reason why i switch to AT&T; they're always quick about questions and ALWAYS have a minimum of FOUR sale associates ON THE FLOOR. I am LIVID, because they literally called me an hour before I went saying my phone was ready for pick-up so I don't understand the why i had to wait over two hours, best thing is there's no sitting space inside the store which is RIDICULOUS when you have to wait such an atrocious time length. read more

When I first entered the store, i was already irritated by the amount of people in front of me, but Edgar quickly approached me to ask me what I needed. Not even 5 minutes passed, and my name was called. Edgar asked me about what i was looking for and what was important to me from a telephone standpoint. We went through my list together and he began explaining and recommending to me what he thought would benefit me and my needs. I was there for a few hours (even after hours) because of all my questions. Edgar did not once hesitate to be present and answer my redundant questions over and over. I have to say this place took care of me and my family! We have been spending to much money on our old plan with Verizon and once my dad changed he convinced us to go with T-Mobile. We went in around 5:30 to get more information on the subject on switching the fees and all that stuff. Our amazing assistant Jennifer took her time and explained everything to us. We loved the place itself they were very patient and tolerated our little brother and his cries. Jennifer explained the prices and how we get more for our buck and how to make it affordable. Jennifer had so much patients with us we didn't finish till 8:30 almost 9!!! Not once did she changed her tone and character and was just amazing. I don't know what all the low reviews are about. Every time I go here I am helped by RJ and I've NEVER had a bad experience. If you find yourself walking in this store I suggest you ask for RJ. Super friendly, super helpful, and super professional. You can tell that he genuinely wants to help you and always get you the best deal. I've never felt ignored and I like that I don't have to spend hours just to purchase a new phone or fix an issue with my phone bill. RJ provided generous and honest service that even my boyfriend switched over from Sprint. Again, if you go to this location make sure you call and ask if RJ is working that day. Customer service here is very helpful, friendly, and informative in general. I had a negative experience at first with an employee named Young. Try to avoid him, I'm not sure if he was having a bad day but he was pretty condescending, giving me the wrong info about my Jump On Demand account and was very insistent with that. I was able to get the right help eventually after I called customer service over the phone and I got a hold of store manager named Giselle. She was able to correct the situation. Came in to inquire about getting new service. A Korean guy named Young Kim assisted us. When he first greeted us, he was warm and inviting; however, after sitting down and talking to him for a few minutes... like another Yelper mentioned...he was very condescending. He seemed inpatient, was a bit rude, had a DRY personality, and didn't even have a funny bone in him. Looks like he's only out to get a sale/paycheck and doesn't really care about his customers.
