I'm confused about what happened here. I requested a quote for a laptop battery replacement and was told $75 plus tax on the parts, so around $78, which I still think is a good price. I agreed and said I would come in on the 8th. A few days later, I messaged to reschedule to the 15th. The owner replied on Yelp that it was fine. Instead, I waited over two hours with zero communication and had to call the store myself just to get an update.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Only then was I told it would be another 30 minutes. Upon arrival they showed me my iPad charging port was fixed--but now the screen was not working properly. This was never an issue before I brought it in. After pointing it out, they took it back again and was told it would be about another hour. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The second time I can around to received it, they told me they had removed my tempered glass screen protector without my knowledge or consent. No one informed me this would be necessary, and when I asked about replacing it, they refused.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] To make matters worse, after a few hours of use, the screen started showing pixels and faint lines--an issue that did not exist prior to this repair. I brought in my device with one problem and left with multiple. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I called to resolve this, I was essentially told my only options were to let them "fix" it again or have them undo their work.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] At this point, I have no confidence in their ability to handle my device, given they already caused additional damage. A reasonable request for a partial refund was denied. Overall, this experience reflects poor communication, lack of transparency, and questionable workmanship.
