I went into this T-Mobile store to upgrade my phone, and the experience was extremely disappointing. I've been a T-Mobile customer for over 10 years, and the employees told me, word for word, "we can't do that because it will hurt our metrics." Instead of helping a long-time customer, they were more worried about their sales numbers than actually providing service. The manager was present the entire time and did nothing to step in or resolve the situation. When we said we would write a review and report what happened, they chose to refuse us service altogether rather than make it right. What makes this even worse is that another T-Mobile store was able to solve my upgrade in about 30 minutes with no issue at all. That tells me the problem is with this specific location and how they're training and managing their staff. If I ever return to this store, it will only be to walk in and out of the doors, because it's clear their metrics are more important than their customers. read more

Rose is the worst employee. She is disrespectful, does not understand how to do her job, and has horrible customer service. She acknowledged that we got there an hour before closing, we patiently waited, and then 5 minutes before they closed, she told us that she is not going to help us. She could have said that MUCH sooner. I wasted an hour of my BUSY life and she had the audacity to be rude when I asked why she didnt say something sooner. I just thought they were going to be nice and accommodating to help us out. I have never been more upset leaving the phone store. TMobile is terrible and their customer service representatives don't give a damn about you unless you're buying what they're selling. If it's a simple fix they love their scripted fake nice they serve up to you. Once there is an actual problem that needs authenticity and a little compassion all that fake nice is out the window and they truly do not care about you. I've never been so disappointed with a company and how they handled a situation that was completely outside of my control that after 7 years of being a customer I was done. They never made an effort to remediate the situation and spoke to me like I was the problem. I can't believe the audacity of the last person I spoke to. I'm only saying this because people deserve to know what they're getting into. Go read the TMobile subreddit on Reddit.com and you will be appalled and disgusted by the shady business dealings of TMobile. Slimy people that only care about conversion to the point they lie to you and know they're training their employees to lie to you. As long as it's surface level issues they'll spoon feed you their scripted fake narrative that they care about you. They don't and they aren't even trained to pretend like they're human beings. 0/10 do not recommend. Will never go back. Do your research and don't give your money to a business like that. I went in for a phone protector and the gentleman was rude and never smiled. I asked a question about something that's been happened to my phone. His response was will I don't know if you can't explain the problem. As I was giving h info he had a rude straight face. At that time I said forget it. I paid and walked out. Long story short: Do yourself a favor and avoid this store if you do not want to deal with the headaches or stress of fixing your bill after these people put several add-ons and other services without your consent! --------------------------------------------------- I was a new customer looking to switch over to T-Mobile from a different provider. After being given the breakdown by Tim and Derrick and being satisfied with what I heard, I went ahead and signed myself and my family to T-Mobile. After agreeing to sign up, that's when things started going downhill. I was "assisted" between Derrick and Tim. Tim did the worst damage between the two. Tim started adding services I never wanted WITHOUT my permission! Tim never asked me which phone plan I wanted. He assumed I wanted Magenta Max when I later found out all I wanted was just Magenta. Tim never asked if I wanted insurance plans on my phones. In fact, he never told me he added insurance to the phones. He went ahead and added insurance to the phones without my permission! Tim also added something called "JUMP!" on the iPhone's, which again, he never asked if I wanted them or told me he added "JUMP!" Tim also never told me how much the screen protectors on the new phones would cost. That was my fault for not asking because I assumed Tim was an honest man. He told me a total number and I assumed it was the taxes for the new phones. I was half right. It was for both the taxes and the screen protectors. The cherry on top was when he put me on paperless billing (I was going to go paperless anyway, but I felt violated that he did this without my permission!) Checking my bill online under the "Account" tab on "My T-Mobile" when I got home was exactly how I discovered the damage. My phone payments went from the $125 I was supposed to pay a month to $203.33/mo! I was FUMING! I went back to the T-Mobile store to have them explain to me why my bill jumped so high! Tim was busy with a customer, but Derrick came outside to "assist" (for covid reasons, a limited amount of people weren't allowed inside the building, so he came outside to talk to me.) Derrick never excused himself to look at my bill to see what was going on. In fact, he didn't even bother looking at all. He explains outside the store by telling me that the reason why the number was so high was because it was "pro-rated" and I had to wait until the next bill to see the numbers go back to the price I wanted. To his credit, he did tell me that he'd take care of the bill if my number was still that high, however, he also concluded his statement by letting me know that he was not a shady salesman and he would never do that to his customers. Something just didn't settle with me when Derrick said he wouldn't do anything shady to his customers, especially since he didn't bother to take a look at all those add-ons that were added without my permission, so I went elsewhere to see what they can do. I had someone else take a look at my bill and after I told them I never requested for those services, they fixed my bill within minutes, whereas Derrick wanted me to leave it alone and hope that it fixed itself in the next bill! Thankfully, the damage was fixed (no thanks to the folks at the AG location), and my bill is right where it's supposed to be. If you're looking for good T-Mobile stores, I recommend two Santa Maria stores (one on North Broadway by AutoZone and one on Betteravia by Wingstop.) They've done everything right as far as customer service is concerned! Where Tim and Derrick at the AG location saw an easy sucker they can take advantage of, these Santa Maria stores have treated me wonderfully! If I ever need any assistance from T-Mobile, I'm going the extra mile to Santa Maria to avoid the AG store from here on out. read more

If I could give a zero I would. The store sold Me a gateway home internet and stated it would work in a sprinter van. It does not nor was it ever intended to be mobile. The phone resources are great but this store is horrible!!! I have gone into this store before and it is the same every time I go in. The store can be empty, there is one person trying to deal with customers and 2-3 people in the back room. I tried to return the gateway, that I should never been sold, then she asked for a receipt which if she would have had the energy to pull up my account she would have found. Then she told me I needed to print out a return label and drop it off at a UPS!!! Judy is lazy and not the best representation for T-Mobile. T-Mobile is not a bad company and the tech and billing support is great but avoid this store. read more

Paid $70.38 for one month service. We specifically asked if there was service in the area we live. They said yes. Got home; zero coverage. 1. Went to store the next morning - can't give you a refund 2. Called 800 nbr... have to do it through the store. 3. Called the store... have to get refunds through 800 nbr 4. 800 nbr: have to go through store. Call the store and have them conference call with us. 5. Called the store: 'we can't conference call with them. If you have WiFi, just use it when you're home'. 6. Called 800 nbr. They agree a refund is due, but store must do it. There's two hours of my life I won't get back. If this review steers one person to another provider, AT&T breaks even. Two? They lose sales. That's my hope. Classic short-sightedness. read more

If I could leave a half star I would. I have been a TMobile customer for quite a while now and only went into the store to add a hotspot to my plan. Walking in I did not have a mask on which I was told that they wouldn't help me unless I had one on, so I asked if they could provide one. They then told me to wait outside, so I complied. I had my 5 and 3 year old with me and the youngest one touched the glass of the store and the manager tried to scolled them through the glass. I told him that he was out of line and that it was not his place to get onto my kids. He replied with "I just cleaned that window!" Which I didnt care. He then proceeded to kick me out of the store and refused me service. I will not be cancelling my plan with T-Mobile and I called 611 and spoke to a lovely gentleman by the name of Dylan who took care of what I needed. If this is how TMobiles locations are being run then I suggest shuttering them all down and pass the saving along to customers. I would never allow one of my employees to treat a paying customer in this way. read more

I went in to add a line this morning and Derrick there manager told me that I needed to call customer service to do that. So I did. After my line was added they changed the phone number which would not work because it's a business line. He refused to port over the information on the phone and refused to give me the WiFi password so I could Atleast try by myself. He then asked me to leave and not come back. This guy needs to learn what customer service is. By the way I went to SLO TMobile on Los Osos and they took care of everything and said that Arroyo Grande store doesn't know what they're doing. read more

Frustrating. I specifically asked if there would be a monthly charge on the watches that were part of the 'deal' and the answer was 'no'. I had also mentioned that I did not want the watches if there were a charge. Well there was a charge. So many other things went wrong with our interaction with the AG store. Costs were off, difficulty logging into the account to get all the details on the charges, not helpful sales people. We went in 5 days in a row to try to solve the problems . The first day they couldn't process our transaction because the system was down or not working properly. That happened the next day as well. Then they were supposed to have the phones and watches sent to their store so they could mess with them before calling us so we didn't have to wait around for hours again.. no.. the phones and watches were sent to our house where they needed a signature. We weren't home because we didn't think we needed to be what with the phones going to the Tmoble store.. It goes on and on. The guy we spoke to today was dismissive and I just can't recommend enough.. GO TO ANOTHER T MOBILE LOCATION. read more

I have been to other T-Mobile stores that are much closer to my house but have not received this level of great customer service . He should be moved up in ranks most likely CEO one day. I am so amazed with Tyler, an account rep at this store. I had just switched to T-Mobile from Verizon. I kept my Verizon phone, and couldn't get or send MMS messages. After an hour in a store in Fresno, and two T-Mobile tech calls, I was ready to just switch back. Technician on phone said go into store and see if it was the SIM card. Tyler changed one setting, Bam. It worked. He saved a customer, and the tech's on phone couldn't figure it out. Thank you Tyler! read more

So far, so good! I've been trapped in Verizon Hell for too long, and now feel like I've found my carrier. My bill is HALF what it was, and I've been in to this location three times in the past week, and have been waited on quickly, had all my questions answered, and the guys are friendly and knowledgeable. Jason & Angel are the best - thanks, guys! ***UPDATE*** Nope. I was wrong. My new phone doesn't work properly. I've taken it in FOUR more times, called 611 twice, tried in vain to have an online chat with a representative (who never joined the chat), and now have a worthless phone and NO ONE at T-Mobile gives any damns. I've been getting pop-up ads on my phone that interfere with my calls, camera... everything! The 611 child I spoke to ARGUED with me and said it's Verizon's fault and I should be mad at them. But T-Mobile will happily sell me a new phone at full price. Grrrrr! Oh, and it's been two months and my "reimbursement" credit card hasn't come yet. Verizon is breathing down my neck to pay them and T-Mobile... wait for it... said there was a glitch and I should call to resubmit the request. PLEASE don't transfer to T-Mobile - you may save a few bucks, but the coverage sucks and this company has the worst customer service EVER! Can I interest anyone in a LG V20 paperweight? read more

Here's the thing, I was with Verizon for eons until my wife saw T-mobile's ad for an amazing veterans deal. We talked it over and went for it. We both got brand new iPhone Xrs and a nice unlimited plan. I never once had a signal issue in all my years with Verizon, but as soon as we got rolling on the way home I went from 2 bars of LTE to 1 to 4G in the course of just driving from their store to the AG side of the Mesa. At home I get 2 bars at most and have calls drop. I can't text or even call my wife to ask her a question from inside Costco or the other stores I went to in Santa Maria the week before Thanksgiving. With the holidays I was unable to make it back to the store before the 14 day return policy. I'm a disabled vet and don't get around as much as I'd like to be able to. Taking my phone to Verizon I find out that T-mobile buys a model of the iPhone Xr that only has one antenna built in and cannot be used on any other carrier than AT&T after being unlocked. The other major carriers buy iPhone Xrs that have 2 antennas built in so that after paying off the phone it can be unlocked and used on any network. Went into the store and was told it's out of their hands and to call 611 and see if they can override the 14 day policy. after 1 hour and 4 minutes being bounced between 7 different people in India, several of them told me it was up to the store I got them at, eventually I was told they would let me ship the phones back but I would still have to pay for them. (right...) So now my wife and I have 2 3 week old iPhone Xrs which we have to pay off for $1500 and can't use them going back to Verizon. To top it all off who's going to want to buy a phone that won't work on a real network around SLO county? Friggin nightmare of an experience and a waste of a ton of money for 2 paperweights. read more

The WORST T-Mobile store I've ever been in. I've been with T-mobile for over 3 years and have lived all over the country and been to many, many stores owned and franchised by T-mobile. This location has failed me yet again (4th time I've been here). The first couple of times I've come in here the staff was just incompetent but didn't do much damage. This last time was the straw that broke the camels back. I had called the support team on the phone and spoke with a lady in the care center who had said that I was able to JUMP and upgrade to an iPhone X with no money down. She said "Go in and speak with "Jesse" and he will be able to help you" "You can PICK THE PHONE UP" I went in after work and no one there knew what I was talking about (even Jesse who wasn't there). Then the new employee who had "been there for 6 months" proceeded to try and upgrade me herself. After being there for an hour (on my boyfriends birthday - who the phone was for) she said it would be around $250. Even the manager who decided to come out of the back after all of this said "Jesse said he was just informed to say we should help you out" Which was a lie. I just called T-Mobile support back and they said that I would have gotten a phone for free if the staff had known what they were doing. But it's now too late because the new phone came out and the order timed out. So... I will not ever be coming back to this location. Suggestion: Don't hire potato a** people read more

I ended up with 2 Sync Up Drives and they have been wonderful.They also helped me get a better/cheaper plan with T-mobile One and Digits set up for free. You guys are very helpful and enthusiastic. Ive been with Tmobile for about 7 mos. I switched over from Verizon to save money and have been happy with the coverage for the most part. Went into the Arroyo Grande store recently to upgrade and look at new plans to maybe save even more money. Worked with a really nice and informative guy Jason that hooked me up with a much better Samsung phone, Digits which allows you to have a second phone # attached to your phone and so far everything is great! Would have given 5 stars if it were not for this soul sucking body of mass named Cyrus who somehow works there. Just stay away from him, unless you want to spoken to in a patronizing, sarcastic manner. And if that floats your boat, go for it and change this review to 5 stars!! read more
