They were out of stock of the phone that I wanted. No big deal. Then the guy keeps telling me my bill will skyrocket if I add a line with the new phone. No, I don't want to add a line. I want to buy a phone. I made this very clear and had to repeat myself quite a few times. Anyway, he ordered a phone for me and said he would give me a call when it arrived. He never did. There were two young kids in the store with their eyes glued to GIANT iPads. Thank god that ain't me. Overall a frustrating experience with no solution, however, the associates were very polite and friendly. It's just unfortunate that they don't know what they're doing.

I had to come to the main office in San Luis Obispo to review my bill and turns out this store didn't credit me for my old phone and had been making payments on a phone that I should've owned outright. I chose uBreakiFix because they advertise a "1-Year Limited Warranty that is valid at all locations." Unfortunately, when a display defect developed and progressively worsened after my repair, the warranty claim was immediately denied without anyone physically inspecting the device. I was also told that this store was "privately owned and operated," and therefore can make decisions inconsistent with the advertised warranty that is advertised as being valid at all uBreakiFix locations: https://www.ubreakifix.com/faq. My frustration is not simply that the claim was denied; it's that the decision was made without inspecting the device and without any meaningful effort to determine the actual cause of the issue. I thought I could trust them as a national chain. Instead, they performed shoddy work and refused to stand by their advertised warranty. You're better off going with any local chain that actually cares about quality of work and customer service.

There are a couple of great guys that work there that I've never had a problem with. However, I've…read morehad a problem with a female there as well as a newer employee there and have decided that I will drive a longer distance, unfortunately for me, to another UPS store so that I don't have to deal with these two people. With the female, I brought something in to return and everything got scanned, but then she told me that she un-did one of the scans and to bring it back in a few days to return it (?). I did that, and it showed that it had already been scanned previously (which means that she didn't un-scan it as she said she did). Instead of apologizing, she said curtly, you're going to have to call the company and have them send you another scan code. This was a burden to me that shouldn't have happened. I think if she would have apologized for her error, I wouldn't have had any problem at all, but people are so rude these days and unaccountable, I was very disappointed. The newer guy there, I'm sure he's a nice guy, but I think he's on some kind of speed drugs or something. He moves very fast, twiches and non-stop talking very fast. The first experience with him I asked if he would slow down in his speech because I was feeling nervous with the non-stop talking. He apologized again and again . . . and again and then continued to talk super fast. I told him that I couldn't understand what he was saying - my brain doesnt' work that fast. He just couldn't slow down and it left me feeling very nervous. The next time I was in and he was working, and when I wasn't responding to his constant talking, talking, talking and more non-sensical talking, he seemed to take offense. Having been a professional executive for my career, and knowing how to listen to people and respect their boundaries, I felt extremely uncomfortable with this guy as he had zero respect for mine. I need calm in my life and his haphazard continual talking, and talking so fast I can't understand what he's saying, was just the last straw. I don't believe it's in UPS's best interest to have him working with the public. Maybe stick him in the back to do work back there. He's also super slow at his work even though he's twitching and moving frantically. It's a pretty scary experience there for me. Last think I need, and probably others as well. Anyways, I won't be going there again, even though it's a super convenient location for me. I will drive 5 miles (instead of less than 1 mile) to go somewhere where they are more professional. This place has really gone downhill, except for the couple of guys that are great there. Good-bye UPS on Johnson!
