I recently went to Sewing Plus in Grover Beach to have a pair of work slacks altered, and I was very impressed! The service was friendly, professional, and efficient. They actually finished my alterations several days earlier than promised, and the fit turned out absolutely perfect. I was so pleased with the result that I immediately brought in two more pairs of slacks. The whole experience was stress-free, affordable, and done with real attention to detail. For comparison, I took an identical pair of slacks to a different alteration shop in Pismo Beach on the same day. That location charged nearly three times as much, and their anticipated completion date is still a week and a half out--so I can really see the difference in both value and turnaround time. Marci, one of the seamstresses there, was altering my dress and told me to "eat a salad" because she had a hard time zipping up the back of my dress. Extremely unprofessional and inappropriate.
