"Why would anyone ever eat anything besides breakfast food?" ― Ron Swanson, Parks and Recreation Stumbling in, fresh and sweaty from the EOS across the street, we tried to grab a table for four on a cloudy stormy Sunday. We were told it would be a 20 min wait but as we kept seeing more and more church goers stumbling in to grab a table, we knew our wait would be a long one. With it being so windy, a complimentary water and coffee station being politely set up for those waiting outside, it was hard to understand what the already-scratchy intercom was saying. We almost thought our table was given away! A half an hour wait later, we were seated inside. During that time of waiting for our table, I went from wanting something healthy to wanting a drink and a plate full of salt fat acid heat [we're not talking the Netflix documentary]. I ended up getting the Biscuits & Gravy with a spicy Bloody Mary. The food was so good but that might be because I was hungry from spin class and was half-frozen from the blustery winter weather but it hit the spot. SO. GOOD. So yeah, I'd be back! It was a busy spot where we were among the younger crowd inside but they had booze and brunch foods. I'm a happy camper. read more

My mother and I have been to this establishment several times in the last two years, but never been treated as poorly or had such bad service as we did today by Chris L. We were seated at 11:27 PM, and our server didn't even show up to the section until we had been sitting there for 7 minutes. He walked past us and didn't even say hello, I'll be right with you ladies, nothing. I had told my mother at 10 minutes we were leaving. Most restaurants have greeting standards. Just a we were preparing to leave, Chris comes over to take our drink order. Great, 10 minutes in and finally got some service. However, apparently he couldn't read the cues that our menus were stacked at the edge of the table and we were ready to order. He asked if we needed more time to review the menu, I let him know the time we had been sitting there was sufficient enough to make a decision. He made a smart ass comment, took our order and left. Another 10 minutes go by and we had yet to receive our drinks. However, he had time to drop some checks at other tables, and take another tables order. Usually, to be successful at this job you have to know how to multitask and run your tables like a circuit. At this point we are twenty minutes into the experience with not even waters on the table. Frustrated, I asked a manager that past by if she could help us with our drink order. A few minutes later Chris came by with our drinks, and asked how my timer was doing. I told him he was currently 20 minutes in and just now getting to our drinks. He said I had stopped his general manager, and he could have her stop by periodically if I so wished. I told him I would love that, as I could share my 10 years of being a server with her to help the staff. He commented that I was delightful and he was sure I was good at my job. I'm sorry, but your inability to successfully do your job in a timely manner does not warrant your being frustrated with your guests because they have pointed out your lack of good service. Sadly, solely because of our experience today with Chris we will just not be returning period. I understand slow service at times, but to not be acknowledged for that length of time, not receiving any kind of apology, and being a jackass on top of it, is completely unnecessary. He's lucky my mother paid the bill, as that is the only way he received any kind of tip. read more

My girlfriend goes here all the time so I finally met her there for breakfast. It was delicious!! I ordered coffee (always coffee) and eggs Benedict with bacon and avocado. So good! We will start with the base of the Benedict...the muffin! Best muffin I ever had! Not sure how they did it but the muffin did not get soft or soggy as the layers of runny eggs, and Hollandaise sauce sat on top. Big points! The bacon (I substituted it because I don't ham) was crispy but not burnt....cooked to perfection! Then the poached egg....delicious runny goodness!! On top of that was avocado and then the best Hollandaise sauce since I went to Payson a few weeks ago! I can't say enough about every layer! I even took my potatoes and dipped them in the sauce! Fantastic service, excellent food and so-so coffee. Coffee was kinda weak....it looked like brown sad water!! Everything else was delicious! So....you know the drill! Stop in, order, tip well, write a review and tell a friend! read more

I've been going to Eggington's for years and my daughters love it too. It's a very clean cozy spot. Their food is delicious, I got the vegetable frittata with potatoes. Service is sweet . On weekends there's always a crowd waiting for doors to open so they bring out coffee etc for everyone. Love it always!!! read more

Our first meal out with freinds for me and my lady in 14 looong months! We decided to introduce friends visiting from Tennesse to our most special breakfast restaurant, TC Eggingtons and let me tell you, they weren't disappointed! Normally, I enjoy their delicious breakfast fare, but decided to try something different. I chose the T.C Sirloin Stack sandwhich from their lunch menu. For my side, I ordered sliced tomatoes. I surely didn't regret my decision! The thin sliced sirloin was super tender and was accompanied by awesome cheddar cheese, red onions and fresh greens with ranch on brioche. Holy cow, what a perfect combo! One of the best sandwhiches I've ever had! It felt so so wonderful to to enjoy dining out again with my lady and friends! Gotta lot of catching up to do! read more

The food is always delicious and the service is always top notch. It's our favorite place for breakfast and lunch, too!

The food was really good. HOWEVER, our server Alissa (I apologize if that is not how you spell your name) she was amazing! Very attentive & extremely nice. Not once did we ever have to track her down, she was a great server! I recommend the "best tacos" they had a delicious sauce. Thank you so much Alissa! :) read more

Everything on the menu is good. I never thought I would recommend a bran muffin but mmm are they tasty (almost as good as the apple cinnamon.) I've tried omelettes, pancakes, quiches, and lunch sandwiches. Only once in all the years I have been eating there was i disappointed and it was because my food came out cold. I asked for it to be reheated but it didn't seem to make much of a difference so I took it home to reheat. The manager stopped by and comped me because he could see I hadn't eaten it. The staff is so sweet and I enjoy every visit. Just be warned, the wait time can be well over an hour at brunch. read more

It was alright the biscuits and gravy did not have good flavor. The food in general was not as I expected it to be.

I have eaten here for many years and always had a fantastic breakfast . The new owner of the restaurant appeared to kept the same menu and I still get my favorite item crack of dawn with three bastes eggs and my potato extra crispy. I have met many of my friends from the Cat dealership and my employees there. I take my wife and she always wants to return to have breakfast. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. We do miss Tom the prior owner. read more

Great service, full menu, good food. Can't ask for better than that! Easy parking too.

Disappointed at the service I received/ didn't receive. Sat for about 5-10 minutes without ever being greeted. I'd say at least 2 employees walked past me multiple times and I'd obviously had not been greeted. Another gentlemen was sat after me and his waitress stopped by and let him know she'd be right back. Watched his order get taken and decided to just leave. Brought my menu back up front and the same employee that walked by me a couple time, asked if everything was ok. I had let him know, that I had still not been taken care of. He then tried to make it right. Although I appreciate the sudden care and attention, why not at least come by and help when you saw me sitting there looking around for someone.... Can't rate the food because I didn't get the opportunity to try it. Based on service or lack their of, don't think I'll be coming back. read more

We have a VERY long relationship (over 25 years) with TC. Up until the last 4 years, we LOVED the food. My parents boast they've visited since the early 1980's. In the last 4 years we've visited less and less. The food has taken a HUGE HIT, and the service (which was typically great) has also become very average. We keep going back, but now only because it's requested by others, who haven't eaten there in a while (so they're memories are of great food/service). Today my father (91) and mother (87) wanted to go. Like the others, it had been a while and they missed the great food. We kept our mouth shut and took them. We didn't want our past experiences to taint their experience. Here we go again.... The food was bland, service was below average and even my parents said they wouldn't be back. Sad really. We've heard that the original owners sold a few years ago, which could be part of the problem. My wife thought maybe the economy had to do with the meal today being bland. The eggs looked pale, rather than the bright colors of the past. Maybe cheap eggs, rather than raise the prices?? I wrote this looong review out of disappointment. Sad to see a great place drift deeper into the ordinary. It's simply not worth the money, so I'd suggest you go somewhere else. read more

Wonderful example of having a truly delicious fresh homemade meal, except your not at home. You're at T.C. Eggington's! Our Sunday Brunch roost was made special from beginning to end. Too warm a day to sit the the patio, we opted for their indoor seating. Although busy, they sat us down immediately. Happy happy! Mimosa's on the menu made me happier therefore we started with those. Miss Kelly was delightful and patiently helped with menu questions. Great, because they have a marvelous variety of food choices and a few are ever so slightly different. But still different. We ordered 3 main dishes being: Crab Puff, Eggs Benedict, and Piglet's dish. Additionally ordered the Plain Pancakes and a side order of bacon to share (with our table) Easy to understand why this place rocks! Everything came out just made, piping hot and tasted very fresh indeed. We ate in total comfort and friendly warmth service this restaurant exudes. One impressionable feature for me was the Coffee Flask left at the table for us to refill our... Coffee! We love having a hot full cup while eating breakfast and therefore with that result, sealed this 5 star deal! read more

It pains me to drop my review. This was my favorite place for years. We used to go camping past Payson & pack up & drive down early for breakfast that's how much we loved Eggingtons. This is the 2nd or 3rd time going since the new owners took over & each time has been more disappointing than the last. Maybe newbies won't notice but if you know you know. That hollandaise was so good you could pour on a flip flop & it would taste good. As is it was just bland and sad. Can't put my finger on what they cut back on but something is definitely off. Oh well, there's better cheaper places closer to the house. Thanks for the memories. read more

The food was very Mid for the price that it was and everything was very plain no flavor at all the wait time for are food was to long for the quality that it was but the server was very nice and sweet also had a great smile. read more

We have been here several times and always enjoyed it. This was Sunday and very busy. IMO however it was no excuse for the manager at the front door taking names wearing his mask below his CHIN! Why have a mask requirement sign and then ignore it? Saw a customer walk to his table without any mask at all. No one acknowledged our presence as we waited to have our name added to the waitlist. Not happy about that as we had to but in to get someone's attention. Hence a 3 star rating. On the positive side, our server Emily was perfect and the food good. read more

Great food, but poor customer service. Live in the area so go quite frequently. Was sat on the porch today, which started out fine. The problem is they try to squeeze too many tables onto the porch area, and as a result, it's not a pleasant experience. It was a two seater table that is quite literally less than one foot from the door that swings open and shut constantly. Additionally, the door squeaks loudly, and the servers throw the door open when they go in and out , so about every 30 seconds to 1 minute you're met with a door that flies open aggressively, which is quite jarring. Attempted to make a mention of it to the manager and was basically treated very dismissively; he acted as though he couldn't care less. I was simply told just request not to sit there next time. Servers in the background were smiling and/or rolling their eyes which was not appreciated either. I understand probably not much they can do if owners insist on packing people in, but at a minimum either WD40 the door hinges or prop it open when it's nice outside. Or at least act like you're interested when a customer is speaking with you. Poor Customer service is the reason we won't be visiting again anytime soon. Too many other brunch spots around with better experience and customer care. read more

I'd say it's a very basic diner type of atmosphere and menu. The inside needs a major upgrade - it was very outdated, they need to take care of the fly's inside, there were quite a bit. Glassware and coffee mugs were dirty. Food is average. Service was fine. Will not be back. read more

I'm not one to complain but check your plates for dried food particles. Ever since new owners have taken over it's very disheartening. I mean is the dish washer too busy checking instagram or FB. What's really going on. The food is amazing don't get me wrong but the last three visits each several months apart, I've spotted dried food on my plate. Be sure to check yours. read more

Sunday mornings are very busy but the service and help with people that are handicapped is super.

Everything was delicious! My husband and I ordered the fosters French toast and an omelet. Both were great! Add cheese to your potatoes to make them extra good. We were also impressed when we told the waiter we were splitting the omelet he brought it out already split on two plates for us. They also gave us a cut up banana for free for our baby. Only complaint is the coffee is a little watered down. We still drank 5+ cups- I loved that they brought us a pitcher to fill up our own cups so we didn't have to wait. Overall great experience, great food, great service. We will definitely be back. read more

Best breakfast menu ever. That chorizo frittata gives me life. And the service is great, everyone is always welcoming and polite. `

Pleasantly surprised by their professionalism! Friendly greeting and seating. They're obviously used to serving old guys. I was hoping for a gut blasting steak and eggs with biscuits and gravy, but not on the menu. Settled for cheese omelette with potatoes and English muffin. Coffee carafe on the table, as was a tureen of ice water, also a jug of excellent strawberry preserves. The food was brought quickly, server was friendly, place clean and well organized. Priced right. This is a very solid 4 star place that did not disappoint. read more

A local joint that is basic but delicious. If you are looking for a true American style breakfast, this is your place. There are tons of options and each is made very well. The flavors aren't extraordinary or out of this world and that's why I give it three stars. The service is pretty exemplary every time I've gone and the food teeters between a three and four star. The atmosphere could be any generic restaurant with a little extra effort coming in the form of their menus which are cute and made from "cage" material. The mimosas are small and nothing special and also overpriced (I think a lot of their stuff is expensive for what it is) but the portion sizes can be generous depending on the item. Overall a yummy down to earth place that I enjoy but is nothing earth shattering. read more

My bestie friend is taking me to all her favs in the Mesa area, I would have to agree this was is a good one. I had the biscuits and sausage gravy, yum, and I am very picky about my B&G's (usually cannot eat in most restaurants, because of my pickiness). Definitely Bacon was crispy, scrambled eggs were excellent as well.my best friend had an omelet. She said it was sooo good. Lastly, the red velvet waffles are AMAZING!!!! Definitely a must try. Restaurant is clean, spacious, and the staff were very polite. Waitress (and I do not remember her name) was excellent, very attentive. read more

This was our first time here last weekend as we're from out of state but travel to AZ often. One of the best breakfasts ever. We got there just minutes ahead of the Sunday brunch rush. Only had to way maybe 6-8 minutes for a table for my wife and I and our baby. My wife ordered the O'Pear Grenache omelette and was blown away. Taste and presentation 5 stars. And she's lived in NYC and SF, and said this was hands down the best omelette ever. I ordered the frattina kalamata omelette, and same. Soo good. Orange juice was amazing as well. Our 11 month old had pancakes and gobbled them up. Service was attentive. Great place all around and will be back! read more
