We hired System Pavers for about 1,400 square feet of backyard pavers along with new pool coping. Sales Process: Jordan was great and easy to talk to. He warned us from the beginning they will be on the higher side of any bid we got. He was right, by about 15%. It was worth every penny. Jordan made multiple visits out to our property to make sure we like what we chose with samples and answered our 1 Million questions. Once we signed off (used their financing option), the Project Manager, Oscar Stepped in... Scheduling: We needed the project to be done by a certain day and not only did they hit that, they killed it, and started within a week of signing the contract. (Note we used a pretty common paver style and pool coping, so no big orders were needed). Demolition: Demolition is scary. Ripping up the entire back yard, sprinkler pipes, drains, etc... Needless to say, the phone calls and texts to our PM Oscar got pretty frequent asking questions. He was on top of every call and text to get everything answered. *My feedback for Demolition is maybe let the home owner knkow exactly what they will be seeing during demo. Let them know "This is normal, and it will look really bad...but's its part of the precess" Installation: Went great. System Pavers will hire a 3rd party contractor for installation. They worked really well. They were on time every day, waiting patiently in their trucks to allow my neighbors an extra hour of sleep (per my request) before the jack hammers started. They didn't skip a day and someone was always there busting their butt. This is NOT EASY work. They missed 1 day...because we had pouring rain. I did have to clean up very little trash like their waterbottles/food wrappers in my planters and stuff, but that didn't matter to me. They cleaned up all their gear, did a walk through every night. The entire project was almost 3 weeks. Issues/Remediation: **This is where System Pavers Shined for me!** Oscar, our Project Manager, was awesome with this. We had a few issues after initial installion (some being more serious than the others that I needed fixed) and Oscar was all over it and got the issues resolved. We are alot happier with the final product as they went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with our final project. So not only was the issue fixed, it was better than what I would have expected in the beginning. The 20 year warranty that stays with the house is a big plus too. Where do we start, with a simple project consisting of removing the front concrete patio, replaced with paving system. And replacing an existing pergola. Simple enough. 1) The entire front porched was off from being leveled by 4 inches. Slopping toward the front door and matching the slope of the street. Rather than being leveled. 2) They redid the installation after arguing about the definition of "level". 3) I had asked to remove the existing brick path that extended past the front gate. Completely ignored. Why bother with doing a layout drawing if you are going to ignore the customer request? 4) And now after dealing with 3 months of heaving SoCal rain, and having water pore over out front door. I incorrectly assumed it was simply the gutter filled with leaves. When in fact, they had left it as seen in the picture attached. This level of stupidity and incompetency is mind blowing. We can't speak highly enough about what a great job the entire System Pavers team did on our project. Each member of the team (Cody and Nestor, especially) stayed involved daily from start to finish and proactively kept us updated on all progress and potential issues. We needed to have our driveway and front walkway redone as the concrete slab had multiple cracks and chips along with a variety of patches. We had two companies come out to put together a quote. The quote from System Pavers was comparable to the other company but what differentiated them was how we were treated by the staff, between scheduling and designing (looking at you Erin and Jordan!), we felt listened to, like we were a top priority and that they genuinely wanted to make sure we were happy every step of the way. We had a lot of delays on our end and SP were entirely understanding and patient with us which was such a relief during an otherwise stressful situation. Don't believe them if they tell you that they will help you get a rebate from the water company for the landscaping that you have done by a landscaper that they recommend. I've been waiting over a year and the person that was helping me keeps telling me that "she will check with the water company and get back to me". She NEVER gets back to me. I submitted everything she asked for, even re-submitted things that she said the water company said they didn't get. She had even told me that the water company had approved the rebate and the money was set aside for me. I'm not sure where to go from here. Legal advice? Pros: Slick Sales Pitch Fancy Website Cons: Subcontracts ALL the work Heavy Overhead 1) Sales Manager (never seen) 2) Phone support ("Please wait for the next representative") 3) email support (answered only half of my messages) 4) Lots of text messages even though I said "No Texts". 5) Project coordinator (first one never showed); second one was onsite a total of 3 hours out of a total of 70 hours wall clock time that the crew was onsite. The first crew spoke no English and I speak no Spanish. Crew began work destroying stuff a full hour before the "Project Coordinator" showed up. By then I was fed up with the crew and vice versa. They left. "Project Coordinator" said it was my fault because I insulted them. By now I had paid 2/3 of the project cost even though almost nothing had actually been done onsite. The second crew arrived the next day. "Project Coordinator" spent an hour with the crew and disappeared. I didn't see or hear from him for 6 days. The crew finished (after blowing a thick layer of concrete dust from the sawing operations all over everything) and left. The next day "Project Coordinator"  shows up for a "Final Inspection". It fails due to drainage problems. 3 days go by and the crew shows up unannounced to fix the drains. This time they pass. "Project Coordinator" sends yet another text saying he will stop by for final payment. But he never shows. He repeats this scenario a second time. I sent a message to the company asking for a different "Project Coordinator". The new guy (our third "Project Coordinator") shows up with the final paperwork but it is wrong. The amendments aren't included. We rescheduled for the next day. This time everything is correct. Good thing. I'm REALLY tired of the incompetence demonstrated by this company. If I had the name of the crew they hired, I could have hired them directly, bought the materials myself and reduced the cost of the project by 40%. But they say: You are covered by warranty and "Full Satisfaction Guarantee or your money back". Yes with all the typical "fine print" that effectively nullifies both. read more

We have been remodeling our house in the 949 and met with Tim Sides from System Pavers, he arrived on time and prepared to answer our questions. He provided insight, and gave us some good ideas and provided us with a sketch and design concept on his laptop. We appreciate that Tim kept our budget in mind while designing the patio. We approved the design and signed the contract and set an installation date within a week. We did a pre walk with Tim and the site manager Nestor Fierro, before the installation. Nestor brought in some great ideas and minor tweaks to the design, while keeping our budget in mind. Nestor was able to get his crew out there and they completed the job in two and half days. Nestor was friendly and knowledgeable and Tim provided support each day and came out to the sight on both days. They displayed excellent t communication between each other and with my wife and I as well. (They provide their workers with a port a potty and it was in and out in 3 days.) First off, HATS OFF to Moe. He's the true reason why I decided to go with System Pavers for my backyard renovation. Despite my expedited timeline, I was assured that the job would be completed and I would have nothing to worry about. Moe always made himself available to answer any questions, and his wealth of knowledge, made me confident in my decision to push forward with System Pavers - I just knew I couldn't go wrong with my decision. Then comes Oscar, the "Project Manager" Initially, Oscar made me feel equally as confident as Moe did in my decision to contract System Pavers for my project. He too seemed to come with a wealth of knowledge which I felt would be ideal for the work I wanted completed. After doing a site walkthrough with both Moe and Oscar, not only did I decide to move forward with the backyard, but also expanded my project to my front walkway, driveway, and lighting. At this time, I did not know who I would contract for my new sprinkler systems that would be required, but Oscar had a recommendation. Oscar referred me to his guy Luis, and spoke to how seamless this would be since they were already doing the pavers. The pavers were installed seamlessly. As a matter of fact, I was rather impressed at how quickly they finished the job given the inclement weather. They worked on and off through the different rain storms we were hit with, and they did a great job at covering the areas when they were unable to work due to the weather. Up to this point, everything had been going smoothly with the project. I soon noticed that there was flooding in both the front and back yards (primarily in the back). The flooding was due to the drains not being installed in the correct location in the backyard. After returning on 3 different occasions System Pavers was finally able to get the drains in the correct location to prevent the flooding from occurring. While I appreciate that this was rectified, Oscar as the project Manager should have checked the placement of the drains upon completion to assure, they were installed correctly the first time. Furthermore, after cleaning out my garage (a month after the BBQ Unit was installed), I was shocked to find the cooktop for my brand new Traeger Timberline XL was never installed at all. Again, this is a complete oversight and lack of Quality Assurance on Oscar's part. How on earth do you forget to install a cooktop on a $4K BBQ unit when well over $65K was spent on the job in total? Again, the follow through and lack of attention to detail are getting worse and worse. After informing Moe of the mishap...again, it was Moe to the rescue! He instantly spoke with Oscar and the two returned to my home yet again, where they evaluated the situation and got someone to cut out the island and install the cooktop. It was inconvenient and not very acceptable that they completely forgot the stovetop, but it was fixed nonetheless. To circle back to this sprinkler system and the Luis recommendation that was provided by Oscar. The main reason I went with Oscar's recommendation is because he said that Luis would give a good rate on the work given that I was already over budget with System Pavers. In addition to the sprinkler installation, I also wanted to relocate the system to my garage. The initial installation of the sprinkler system was just as seamless as the work System Pavers did, but that's where things take another turn. My sprinkler system is not functioning correctly at all! This system is cycling back-back every hour when it is only supposed to run one time per day. Not only is this additional wear on my brand new system, but also this is a HUGE amount of wasted water. Living in draught-ridden California, this is a HUGE additional expense. I have attempted to install the app, so I can check the settings on my cellphone, but since I was never provided any paperwork or serial number for my Hunter sprinkler system, I can't even use the app. I made contact with Oscar several times regarding the issue with no movement to get this resolved. At this point he has completely stopped responding to my calls and text messages. I truly wish there was a way to divide the rating! Moe and System Pavers generally did a great job and worked efficiently. I would give them 4 STARS. To be honest I loved Moe and what they did. Oscar on the other hand dropped the ball every time it was handed to him. From the misplaced drains, to the forgotten cooktop, to the botched sprinkler functioning, Oscar as the project manager did NOT do a good job. You should expect with Oscar on the job as "Project Manager" you will have 3-5 oversights minimum and should anticipate them coming out multiple times to fix the same issues repeatedly, and also make sure you have a backup contact in the event that Oscar stops responding because he is tired of hearing about the numerous fumbles/errors that WILL be had. System Pavers gets a job well done, while Oscar gets a blaring DO BETTER! read more

Wow! My yard was transformed from a patio of red bricks done 40 years ago settling over the years to a fabulous patio. I took 4 bids from paving companies the salesmen came out without any samples of product only books with pictures. I told each one exactly what I wanted, and they tried to measure using tapes to get measurements and each one of the 3 others said they would get back to me in a couple days. When Cody (salesmen) came out he was the only one to bring samples. He had the latest technology for measuring exactly what was needed and gave me the bid on the spot.
