Gilberto came out the morning after I connected with him on Yelp to provide a free estimate. The cost was very fair considering all the work that needed to be done. He then got started the next morning. It took Gilberto and his team about five hours to give the front and back yards a complete overhaul. There were SO many weeds that needed to be pulled, random flower boxes filled with dirt and trash, trees and bushes that needed trimming and pruning, and overgrown grass in the yards. They did fantastic work and all the landscaping has made the house look new again! We're looking forward to continuing to work with Gilberto and his team for weekly maintenance.

To be honest, it really restored my faith in landscaping contractors. I submitted an online request for a quote and the next day Mike emailed me requesting pictures of what our project wanted to include. Originally we just wanted to pull out our front yard plants and redo just the front but there is a $5000 project minimum. After deciding to redo our turf and also include our backyard, Mike came out the next week for a free in person consultation and got me a detailed quote within 2 days. The turnaround time for everything was just amazing, I've never seen anything like it. Our lot is about 3615 sq ft to give a reference point. Our project included: all the labor to demolish/uproot all of our plants including a very large 20 year old tree in the backyard + all the roots (completed in 2-3 days), redid our front and backyard turf (completed in 2 days by Backyard Golf Company), added a veneer stone and cap on our retaining wall (1 week) and replanted all our plants/installed a drip sprinkler system/installed lighting front and backyard (1 week). We have an HOA and Mike had a complete detailed plan and diagram ready for us within 3-5 days. Once HOA got back to us, the project was started within a week and finished in the estimated time frame. Workers came promptly at 8 AM and they were actively working all day not just sitting around. Very respectful, even blowing all the dust at the end of the day to keep the area clean, no garbage left anywhere. The entire project was $30,000 and there weren't any surprise or unexpected costs. Invoices are sent every week on a reasonable schedule and I just loved our experience. I'd recommend Seabreeze to anyone wanting to do their hardscape landscaping in a heartbeat!

My yard was overgrown and a mess. The sod from 2000 was done and full of weeds. The planting areas were in terrible shape. Fern and I talked and together we put together an idea of a combination of sod and DG. I mentioned to him that I always ask for more than discussed and to make sure he added the additional expense. They showed up on time every day at 6:30am and worked nonstop until dusk. They removed two big truck loads of dirt, old sod, weeds, roots and old plants by loading the truck using wheelbarrows. They put in new drip irrigation, new sprinkler lines and valves and repaired my outdoor electrical outlets. They built three paver borders and used cement to make a paver border fence I built by stacking blocks permanent. He cleaned out a raised planter not in the quote, fixed the drip lines and mulched and used my old fountain to build a bird feeder space in the planter. The quote was very fair and the addition price for the added work was very fair also. I will definitely be using him again for my next project. He also installed new ceramic tiles with my address on the front of the house and cleaned out part of my gutters and fixed the leaks to keep them from dripping on the DG. Use Fern for your landscaping needs and I'm sure you will be very satisfied!

The project included removal of a concrete patio slab ( severely damaged by palm tree roots) as well as a connecting slab, approximately 12 yards. Excavation of another 12 yards of dirt and palm tree roots. Brought in, spread and compacted 14 yards of road base as a base for the 11.5 yards of new concrete. Also did grading and set up drainage as needed. All work was done by hand and wheel barrows as access was not big enough for equipment. Communication was excellent, on time every day, very flexible to make changes during the process, pricing was very fair. The finished product was everything I expected.

He also created documents to submit to our HOA for approval, and he was able to make changes quickly when needed. Victor and the crew were on time, efficient, and timely with the work. It was greatly appreciated that everything was washed down and cleaned by the crew at the end of each day. They were also able to make quick adjustments when our neighbor had some concerns with the hedges we wanted to plant. The scope of the work included adding a concrete pad, extending our concrete patio, planting privacy hedges with drainage and auto watering system, installing artificial grass with paver walkways, and adding pebbles along the exterior wall of our house. Since we have a soft watering system, we also had them install a separate line from the main. Overall, Caliscapes OC was professional, friendly, and accommodating. We even had one of the hedge plants not doing well. We reached out to Caliscapes OC to advise us on how to revive it, and they said they would replace it. He removed the roots carefully, paid close attention to detail, and surprised us by applying weed killer between the pavers and shrubs. Our family was impressed. For the 2nd visit in March 2026, unfortunately the company did not meet the same standard. We communicated via the same number, so they were aware of that we were interested in the same work as before last year (weed removing, trimming of tree shrub) This time, a different employee (H.H.), performed the work. He trimmed the trees and shrubs a bit more quickly than Francisco did, which was not an issue in itself. However, he didn't remove the overgrown roots, but rather just trimmed them, which caused the plants to grow back much faster than before. He also didn't apply any weed killer. After we paid via Zelle, we noticed that our 24-hr security sign had been snapped in half and left on the same spot it was planted. No shrubs were around that area. The employee didn't mention to us at all, but when we asked him what happened, he initially said he didn't know. Only after we saw pictures showing that the sign was intact, he apologized. Additionally, another blue security sign next to our AT&T fiber box was missing. The sign had been in place for months and was clearly visible from the driveway since the shrubs didn't fully cover it. The worker claimed he never saw it. We understand accidents can happen, but the lack of communication and transparency is unfortunate. We are likely moving on to another company.

Steve and his crew are regular people that treat others with kindness and respect not because they have to, but because that's who they are. They fixed a leaky pipe in my backyard without having to pull up my pavers and then they fixed a pipe in my front planter that solved low pressure on my drip lines. No fuss, no extra charges or unnecessary parts and labor. Steve's team obviously have deep knowledge and experience but what makes them so great is that they communicate clearly and are enjoyable to work with. Highly recommend them.

Sincerely, I cannot say enough about Pacific Pavers and Jeff's performance. As a home flipper with over 250 properties sold, we interface with contractors frequently. I will NEVER contact another hardscape specialist again. Jeff's crew was professional, conscientious of neighbors and always showed up on time. While these mentions would seem expected, it is certainly not the norm. Again, we were just blown away by the execution and results. Jeff drove across the county each day to ensure each daily milestone was accomplished. If your experience with Pacific Pavers was or turned any different, frankly, I would not believe you. Jeff would not let that happen. Period. He is just one of those guys you enjoy referring to your friends and family. We recently got our patio done around our pool area and it made our backyard look like a DisneyLand Resort. But really it looks so much nicer. The Pacific Paver crew came out wrote us our estimate for our patio which was significantly lower than the other local masonry and paving companies. When it came time for the construction they came on time and worked the whole time, you never saw people just sitting idle like you do very often. What was the best is how clean they are. We are so happy with pacific pavers. We didn't know where to go in regards to artificial grass. We were tired of watering our grass and treating the dead spots. But now with our artificial grass we don't have to fight that battle anymore. We get compliments all the time and people are always asking where we got it done. I got estimates from 3 paver contractors and Pacific Pavers was not the cheapest but they are the best. They were here every morning around 8 am and worked until 4-5 pm. Sam came by twice a day to answer questions and give me a progress report. My patio looks great and the walkways all around the house are perfect. Great Job! read more

While the pavers look good, I noticed a few uneven spots. Overall, decent service but nothing out of this world. Would consider them again, but I'd do more research first. read more

It did nothing to reflect the scale or architectural presence of our three-story, beach-adjacent home. Today, that same footprint operates as a private, structured courtyard -- a defined outdoor living space that feels intentional, modern, and architecturally integrated. The Techo-Bloc paver installation is executed with geometric discipline and clean proportional balance. The contrasting border trim sharpens the layout, and the modular patterning reads refined rather than repetitive. Where water once pooled visibly, the drainage now performs efficiently and invisibly -- The upgraded water line alone was transformative. What used to produce barely a trickle now delivers pressure so strong it rivals commercial output .The underground drip irrigation system is intelligently concealed beneath the hardscape and reemerges precisely within the base of our large entry planters. It is automated, timer-controlled, and calibrated for plant health without visual clutter. For us gardening is a foreign labor, the system removes guesswork and replaces it with precision. After going through the process ourselves, I can absolutely see why they spoke so highly of the company. From the beginning, Byron made the design and estimating process feel very clear and professional. One thing I really appreciated was that he used an iPad on-site to draw out the design, calculate measurements, and price everything very accurately. It was not a vague "ballpark estimate" type of process -- it felt transparent, exact, and easy to visualize, which gave us a lot of confidence moving forward. Byron also helped us finalize the color choices, especially for the walkway, and his suggestions made a big difference in the final look. Roberto, who supervised the on-site construction work, was also excellent. He really listened to my concerns, took the time to discuss details with me, and most importantly followed through in the actual work without any issues. That meant a lot to me because I care about both design and functionality, and he handled both very well. Casandra in the office and Oscar as the business manager were also great throughout the process. They were organized, responsive, and helped keep everything coordinated smoothly, which made the whole experience much less stressful. What stood out most about Hillside Pavers overall was that they listened to our preferences and worked with us instead of pushing a one-size-fits-all solution. The workmanship, communication, and attention to detail were all strong, and the finished project truly transformed the property. During the project and especially after completion, we received numerous compliments from neighbors and friends, which really confirmed for us how well everything came together. To be honest, it really restored my faith in landscaping contractors. I submitted an online request for a quote and the next day Mike emailed me requesting pictures of what our project wanted to include. Originally we just wanted to pull out our front yard plants and redo just the front but there is a $5000 project minimum. After deciding to redo our turf and also include our backyard, Mike came out the next week for a free in person consultation and got me a detailed quote within 2 days. The turnaround time for everything was just amazing, I've never seen anything like it. Our lot is about 3615 sq ft to give a reference point. Our project included: all the labor to demolish/uproot all of our plants including a very large 20 year old tree in the backyard + all the roots (completed in 2-3 days), redid our front and backyard turf (completed in 2 days by Backyard Golf Company), added a veneer stone and cap on our retaining wall (1 week) and replanted all our plants/installed a drip sprinkler system/installed lighting front and backyard (1 week). We have an HOA and Mike had a complete detailed plan and diagram ready for us within 3-5 days. Once HOA got back to us, the project was started within a week and finished in the estimated time frame. Workers came promptly at 8 AM and they were actively working all day not just sitting around. Very respectful, even blowing all the dust at the end of the day to keep the area clean, no garbage left anywhere. The entire project was $30,000 and there weren't any surprise or unexpected costs. Invoices are sent every week on a reasonable schedule and I just loved our experience. I'd recommend Seabreeze to anyone wanting to do their hardscape landscaping in a heartbeat!

To salvage the opportunity, the salesperson, Chris, texted me and offered to come the following day at noon instead, along with a 5% discount for the inconvenience. I rearranged my schedule twice to accommodate them during what was already an exceptionally difficult time, as I was preparing to say goodbye to my 16-year-old dog that weekend. Chris did arrive on Friday as promised, but a week has now passed and I have received neither a bid nor any follow-up communication from anyone at the company. Shortly after the appointment, their Thumbtack profile was also removed or hidden. While I can't say why, the timing was odd, as it prevented me from leaving a review on the platform where we originally connected. I've uploaded screenshots with this review documenting the interaction, including Chris's last-minute cancellation, his offer of a 5% discount, and the Thumbtack notification showing the company was no longer available on the platform. If reliability, communication, and follow-through are important to you, I would recommend looking elsewhere.

Our back yard is incredible now. The crew started when they said they would, and those guys worked super hard. I was amazed at the progress they made each day. The pavers went in very fast. The side yard drainage issue I had is no more! That alone was worth a lot to me. The only hang up was the patio cover. We had to get a permit, and the city took forever because of limited appointments due to COVID. Carlos did his best to keep things moving along. It also took some time to get the materials. I think the price was reasonable for all the work that was done. Carlos checked in regularly, and made sure the job was progressing. Everyone on the crew was very nice when I went out to check on progress. We are very satisfied. I will not hesitate to recommend or use West Hills again in the future.

I would not recommend this company. Their lack of attention to detail made the entire experience…read moreunpleasant. The drainage tube was installed with the slope going the wrong direction, and the walls were not properly covered before the concrete was poured, leaving concrete splatter all over the side walls. The concrete also cracked less than three days after it was poured. It was poured on Monday morning, and on Wednesday the artificial turf guy was using a large plate compactor right next to the two-day-old concrete. I believe the vibration from that equipment contributed to the cracking. When I spoke with JC about the issue, he told me that concrete will crack sooner or later and that is why they do not warranty cracks. Concrete was poured directly on top of the soil, no gravel was brought first. While I understand that concrete can crack over time, I did not expect it to crack before I had even made my final payment. Despite my disappointment, I paid the remaining balance. After that, I never received any follow-up confirmation that the payment was received , or even a simple thank you.
