Mr. Cesar,Alvarado with system pavers is knowledgeable and professional. I bought my pavers two years ago and noticed some sinkage. Cenobio and his team were so amazing but I want to personally give a huge shout out to Jorge who worked all day to finish the final touches after the pavers were put in. Buyer Beware! A picture is worth a thousand words. This wall collapsed in February after standing only 3 years and of course, past the warranty. After months of requesting a bid from System Pavers, I finally got the first one in April, but it was misleading in that they said they'd fix "the wall" but when it came down to almost signing the contract, I learned they only intended to fix a portion of the wall. The next quote came a few weeks later...for $71,000. Yes, that is the correct number of zeros. This to fix all the sinking pavers, the wall, and the lighting that stopped working after a year of installation. I let them know the absurdity of that quote and so they got the regional manager to work on it more closely. Mind you, the communication through this point was horrific and something they continually apologized for, but nothing happened until I started posting updates on their website. Many apologies and weeks later, I got a new quote. While still unreasonable, they did say they'd fix all the other failings "for free" if I pay them $25K to fix the wall like it should have been built originally. I felt like I had no option until I found a dealbreaker in the new contract. I pointed it out to the head guru who tried to get me to believe he was only there to make me happy; he never responded. I would have thought maybe someone at the company would offer a work-around, but they didn't even try. I had to go with another contractor. I'm disgusted I wasted months being frustrated and trying to work out something with System Pavers. Bottom line: don't believe what they say; see what they put in the contract. Expect to be ignored and given the round around even (or maybe especially) if you have a legitimate complaint. I'd say you get what you pay for, but that certainly isn't the case here: for the amount I paid in the initial installation, I'd expect to not see collapsing walls and pavers after only 3 years, especially when the original salesman said, "you'll never have to worry about your backyard again." Admittedly, it looked great and I was very happy with it for about a year. I had thought I was doing business with a reputable company, so we signed up for one of the costliest mistakes of my life. Let my story be a warning. read more

My job is in the beginning phases but so far, I am impressed! Lorinc came out and spent many hours with me planning the job with me and answering all of my questions. Next I was introduced to Cesar who is my project manager. Cesar has been very responsive and managing the job very well. Demolition day went smoothly and everything was cleaned up neatly when they left. Today we ran into an issue, not their doing, but from what had been previously installed at my residence. Cesar was quick to come up with a great solution and fix to get my job back on track. I look forward to a beautiful updated backyard. I will post again with end results. read more

We had a paver/ turf project done in 2018 by System Pavers. Recently we had some concerns with some of the pavers and the turf. Called our construction manager, Estella Reynoso, and she came to check out my concerns. She very quickly got approval from the company to do all the work needed. I was impressed by the way they honored our warranty. Estella's crews were professional, on time and easy to work with. Our place is gorgeous again. Jose and Rigo did an outstanding job on our backyard overhaul by installing our retaining wall, pavers and turf. Jose was very accommodating from the beginning despite getting off on the wrong foot with the sales team. Initially the sales person recommended a product that was not rated for the height of retaining wall we were looking for. My wife fell in love with the proposed Belgard design, we signed off on the quote and low and behold the day Jose (Construction Project Manager) shows up to walk through the selections, he gives us the bad news that the Belgard retaining wall will not withstand the height nor pressure coming off the hill from Main Street and the alternative could cost more because it would require a heavy duty center block/cement wall. At this point my wife and I saw this a "bait and switch" tactic" and almost cancelled the entire project. Jose was very understanding, and apologized for the misunderstanding even though it wasn't his fault. A few days later Jose brought by some samples that would work and very patiently went back and forth before arriving at a design that my wife was ok with. Jose seamlessly coordinated with my electrician, landscaper, and sprinkler system company making it much less stressful for me. Being a Sales Leader myself, I would certainly recommend the sales team receive better training and perhaps even working a few days with construction team to better understand the products they're promoting to customers. In the end we were able to proceed with project by paying the same amount we initially agreed upon but Jose deserves all the credit in salvaging this deal. Thank you Jose for making our dream backyard a reality! read more

For anyone considering paver installation, I highly recommend Sam and his hard working team. They do not disappoint in terms of grit, timeliness, and expertise. Sam made suggestions I hadn't considered, and the transformation was like POW! Lizards scattered and space opened up as my front yard brought the salesman's projected AI vision to life. This includes driveway, step, planter, and porch pavers with a few "throw-ins". What a lovely manifestation into something not only new but also inspirational in terms of next steps. Colorful planter-filling research is now well underway. Each night, I steal yet another peek at the lighted steps. Each morning, I dash out there to admire a JOB WELL DONE as passers-by spew compliments left and right. This is an uplift worth every dime. read more

If you want a "USED CAR SALES" experience, call Systems Pavers. Except, I am a seasoned, highly trained, corporate sales professional in the commercial design industry and you couldn't pull a fast one on me!!! As a design professional, I am warning customers about how bad the experience was. Really bad customer service and sales process. I tried working with this company twice and both times was a disaster of customer service, therefore I don't recommend working with them at all. System Pavers is a higher price than some of the competition, but the quality of their work is worth it and why we went with them. Bert was our knowledgeable design consultant and handled our plans for a large scale project wonderfully. Then we were handed off to the project manager, Nestor, and he walked us through all the phases of the work and made sure the plans became reality, constantly ensuring the details were as we expected along the way. He would check in regularly in case there were questions or decisions to be made if there was any changes needed. Sal was lead for the paver installation team. Their attention to detail and smooth cuts no matter how complex was amazing. Several times they helped guide our ideas to make sure it looked professional and natural and kept the work site clean and even brought our newspapers to the front door. They had a door to door salesman that rang our doorbell while it was pouring rain. He expected me to stand in the doorway and let the rain and cold air get inside. I had to tell him I wasn't interested twice before he would leave. As he was walking away he kept giving me dirty looks and shaking his head at me. He even threw his flyer on my driveway. I had a neighbor have their driveway redone by System Pavers and it turned out great. When it came time to replace my driveway, they referred me and I was linked up with Mo, who helped me plan through my project and was very patient with me and all of my questions. He never pressured me and insisted that I take time to think about my project and what my needs were. I have to commend the process because it was extremely streamlined after I docusigned. I was assigned a team, with Nestor being my project manager. He came out the day after I set my start date, and walked me through the process. I let him know that I'd be out of town during the main phase and he reassured me that it wouldn't be an issue. The job was completed in 3 days and I was updated via the portal and via text message. We replaced an old concrete driveway with system pavers. The work was outstanding. The crew was talented and efficient. The price was more than the competitors, but not by much. We are very satisfied with the outcome. However, the process sucked. The management culture at this company is transactional, not relational. They fired our sales person and didn't tell us. Our project manager made it our problem to get him up to speed on the requirements. When I escalated concerns to the project manager's supervisor, he made it a point to say "I am not your project manager". I had to say, yes, but I am the client and your people are causing my concerns. They dropped a toilet on our property after the job was finished. When I asked that it be removed, I was told it was a third party that had 10 days to remove it... basically 'not our problem, yours'. Finally, I bought lunch for a crew of 8 on both days of the project. Not one person or the project manager bothered to say thank you. That says everything you need to know about their people and their culture. I am happy with the outcome. I hated doing business with them. read more

System Pavers pricing is astronomically high. Make sure you get at least three estimates. System Pavers was my 2nd estimate. They are by far and away the highest of my five estimates. The rep came out and have me a price of $71K. The rep could tell I thought that number was ridiculously high. He said, "if I sign up today it would only be something like $65K. I mentioned I had a much lower bid. We negotiated more and it came closer to $40K. I ended up signing the contract since I had a family member recently do their pool deck and it did turn out really nice. After closer review of my first bid I found that I was still overpaying by a long shot so I cancelled my contract with System Pavers. I sent them the notice of cancellation. They would not confirm receipt of the cancellation and gave me some trouble with it. I had multiple long conversations about why I was canceling. Still they would not confirm the cancellation. After much back and forth they finally acknowledged my cancellation and refunded my deposit. You'll easily pay double the price with System Pavers. read more

Our existing driveway had raised up blocking the flow of water off the front of the garage during rains from flowing down the driveway, and up under the garage door instead. This was also a trip hazard as it had raise up quite a bit. In addition, we needed to repair a sewer pipe, access to which was under the driveway. This meant that the driveway needed to be demolished and removed, then the plumbers needed to do the repair, and then the pavers could go in. Angel, our SP project manager stopped by before the project and recommended and recommended a plumber they had interacted with before, and after having talked with several, I was good with going with the contractor Angel recommended. The work began on Monday morning, and within 5 hours the old driveway was gone completely. Plumbers did their thing on Tuesday and Wednesday, and SP was back Thursday to put in the new paver driveway. Which has since received several compliments by the neighborhood. I was really concerned about the coordination of the two contractors, each finishing their work in time before the other could step in. However, it went very smoothly, and on schedule. Amazing considering my experience with other contractors. The only complaint I have is that the pavers are still just a bit above the garage floor, once again leading to the potential of keeping water from draining out. We will see what happens after the first good rain. However, the height difference is so small that there is no longer a trip hazard. I had gotten bids from a couple of contractors, and SP was the most expensive. However, Evan (sales guy) was able to reduce their bid closer to the other contractors, and then with the long guaranty, I decided to go with SP. Do your homework to get the best price. read more

The estimate appt was made easy and one of their reps came to our house for a 3000 sqft pavers quote and another 2000 sqft for turf installation. The appt was about 2 hours long, which typically considered as short for them since the rep said normally it take about 4 hours. On the day of the appt, their system was down so the rep couldn't give me a quote and promised to send them over in the next week. After three weeks of waiting, no quotes, no email for follow up...only marketing emails that got sent out. Wasted of 2 hours time and disappointed. We have started the project with fresh pour concrete for 3000 sqft with Ramirez Concrete and turf with Artifical Turf Direct instead and got everything done in just two weeks. It took me over a year of due diligence, studying and searching for the right hardscape and astro turf contractor, before I finally settled on System Pavers. It was a tough and scary choice. Did I choose the right contractor? That would be a resounding "YES!" System Pavers was highly professional, providing superb service and a quality product certain to add value to our property. It is a Class "A" Company - 5 Stars all around! Our property presented grading challenges with a new pool and a slanted grade. We were rather unsure as to how to proceed. My husband and I tried different ideas but had not quite settled on any one that we were comfortable with. System Pavers' rather talented Design Consultant, Alex Viecco, stepped in and presented a highly creative way to meet our grading challenges and design our perfect space. In fact, it was uncanny how Alex seemed to know exactly what we wanted before we, ourselves, did. Alex was excited as he presented us with a great plan to marry a rather large space that includes a pool area, an entertainment space, plus a raised "blank" area. My husband and I plan to use this blank slate to create our own, private tropical rainforest, complete with waterfalls and tropical foliage. The workmanship provided by System Pavers was stellar with Project Manager Harley at the helm. Communications were great as he kept us apprised every step of the way and made certain we were getting exactly what we wanted. Harley worked with such a positive "can-do" attitude and even shared some creative ideas which we adopted. Harley is impressive. I did have an issue with pricing which began at 41K and kept rising until we landed at approximately 52K. I understand this was because of a sitting wall I had ordered, but I must say, that even with the discounts, I was somewhat taken aback at the final cost. Still, you get what you pay for and, since they did provide financing at a relatively good rate, my family and I were happy in the end. Again, I would like to give a shout-out to Project Manager Harley who, with his hard-working crew, toiled away to ensure that we would love the final product. Harley went above and beyond to try and lower costs here and there. Harley and his crew are some of the most professional and hard-working contractors I have ever come across. They worked quickly and cleaned after themselves. They kept to their schedule. They were highly professional throughout the entire process. As I said earlier, System Pavers provided us with a hardscape and turf that is certain to add value to our property as we look forward to enjoying it for many years to come. Jackie-the-Critic highly recommends System Pavers. You can't go wrong. Also, don't forget to ask for Harley - he's the man! read more

First off, HATS OFF to Moe. He's the true reason why I decided to go with System Pavers for my backyard renovation. Despite my expedited timeline, I was assured that the job would be completed and I would have nothing to worry about. Moe always made himself available to answer any questions, and his wealth of knowledge, made me confident in my decision to push forward with System Pavers. I just knew I couldn't go wrong with my decision. Then comes Oscar, the "Project Manager" Initially, Oscar made me feel equally as confident as Moe did in my decision to contract System Pavers for my project. After doing a site walkthrough with both Moe and Oscar, not only did I decide to move forward with the backyard, but also expanded my project to my front walkway, driveway, and lighting. At this time, I did not know who I would contract for my new sprinkler systems that would be required, but Oscar had a recommendation. He referred me to his guy Luis, and spoke to how seamless this would be since they were already doing the pavers. The pavers were installed seamlessly. As a matter of fact, I was rather impressed at how quickly they finished the job given the inclement weather. They worked on and off through the different rain storms we were hit with, and they did a great job at covering the areas when they were unable to work due to the weather. Up to this point, everything had been going smoothly with the project. I soon noticed that there was flooding in both the front and back yards. The flooding was due to the drains not being installed in the correct location in the backyard. After returning on 3 different occasions System Pavers was finally able to get the drains in the correct location to prevent the flooding from occurring. While I appreciate that this was rectified, Oscar as the project Manager should have checked the placement of the drains upon completion to assure, they were installed correctly the first time. Furthermore, after cleaning out my garage (a month after the BBQ Unit was installed), I was shocked to find the cooktop for my brand new Traeger Timberline XL was never installed at all. Again, this is a complete oversight and lack of Quality Assurance on Oscar's part. Again, the follow through and lack of attention to detail are getting worse and worse. After informing Moe of the mishap...again, it was Moe to the rescue! He instantly spoke with Oscar and the two returned to my home yet again, where they evaluated the situation and got someone to cut out the island and install the cooktop. It was inconvenient and not very acceptable that they completely forgot the stovetop, but it was fixed nonetheless. To circle back to this sprinkler system and the Luis recommendation that was provided by Oscar. The main reason I went with Oscar's recommendation is because he said that Luis would give a good rate on the work given that I was already over budget with System Pavers. In addition to the sprinkler installation, I also wanted to relocate the system to my garage. The initial installation of the sprinkler system was just as seamless as the work System Pavers did, but that's where things take another turn. My sprinkler system is not functioning correctly at all! This system is cycling back-back every hour when it is only supposed to run one time per day. Not only is this additional wear on my brand new system, but also this is a HUGE amount of wasted water. Living in draught-ridden California, this is a HUGE additional expense. I have attempted to install the app, so I can check the settings on my cellphone, but since I was never provided any paperwork or serial number for my Hunter sprinkler system, I can't even use the app. I made contact with Oscar several times regarding the issue with no movement to get this resolved. At this point he has completely stopped responding to my calls and text messages. I truly wish there was a way to divide the rating! I would give them 4 STARS. To be honest I loved Moe and what they did. Oscar on the other hand dropped the ball, from the misplaced drains, to the forgotten cooktop, to the botched sprinkler functioning, You should expect with Oscar as "Project Manager" you will have 3-5 oversights minimum and should anticipate them coming out multiple times to fix the same issues, also make sure you have a backup contact in the event that Oscar stops responding because he is tired of hearing about the numerous fumbles/errors that WILL be had System Pavers gets a job well done, while Oscar gets a blaring DO BETTER! read more

I met with a few paving companies and System Pavers really stood out - from their team to their pricing and impressive 25 year warranty. My design consultant Eric Magpali was fantastic, honest and not pushy. I relied on him for his expertise and opinion. I had a designated project manager Sam Salcedo who was on it - professional, communicative, and showed up throughout the project. He even did a walk through with me after the work was done and checked in afterwards to make sure I was satisfied and see if I had any questions. I love my now remodeled backyard so much now. Old backyard had wrongly done slopes would lead to water logging. Also we could enjoy the entire space as it was split in lawn and old style blocks. Ruben helped us design it for most efficient use and with economic budget. Helped us plan the space for the trees to create shade for the Summer time. The project manager - Nestor and his hard working crew members - Geovanny, Orli, Kenia, were very thorough in their work and had a nice polished look to the backyard when they completed, specially around some of the things like HVAC, water pipes. Nestor kept the project well on time and communicated well ahead if any changes needed. All the drain is well planned out now. We tested it under some short but intense Spring rain spells over this weekend. All the work was complete in 7-8 days. These folks are "quality on time". The only reason Im giving 1 star is because I was so happy with the original work I had done in 2021. Since then, I have had a gopher issue and needed my turf redone. After several emails and phone calls, I finally received a call from Oscar who said he would look up my previous purchase and send me a quote for repairs. After several days, I had to reach out to him again to request the quote. I initially paid approximately $21k for pavers and turf. The quote sent to me for the 400 sq ft repair was for $9k with a small discount taking it down to $8200. I inquired about financing again and he had someone call me and ask for payment, even tho I told him I wasnt prepared to do anything until the new year. When I called the person back, I had to leave a message and I STILL havent heard anything from them and thats been about 2 weeks now. So, in the meantime, I have gotten 3 other quotes, all $5k LESS then what Oscar sent me. Now Im wondering if I got scammed the first time around. I would have expected better customer service for someone returning for services. He obviously did want to be bothered with my business. Its a 0/10 recommend for me if you want a long-standing relationship with a landscape contractor. read more
