I had some artificial turf installed by System Pavers a number of years ago. The turf didn't hold up to the warranty and was replaced by System Pavers, they did a tremendous job. When I called regarding the turf I was connected to Sam Salcedo as the Project Manager. Sam has been great to work with. Sam has kept us informed every step of the way and let us know when the turf company approved replacing the faulty turf. Sam paved the way for getting a project team available for the replacement effort and we couldn't have asked for a better liaison. The crew that arrived to perform the work was tremendous. The team consisted of Chris, Dennis, Alexis, David and Alex. They took extreme care of our property, were very pleasant and professional while working in some extreme heat. Every aspect of their effort was top notch, and I couldn't have asked for a better representation of a team effort. As they got further into their work, they cleaned as they went, paid attention to the most minute detail. I would highly recommend System Pavers to anyone that is looking to have home improvements completed. read more

WOW! This company must not need the business! We scheduled an appointment two weeks ago for Saturday morning. The salesman didn't show! Said he was "Sick" when WE contacted the company later that morning and got the dispatcher on the phone! Only explanation... dispatcher said "He tried to leave a message!" Not only is my Saturday wasted but the negativity made my college football team lose also! Way to go System Pavers! After multiple calls confirming the appointment time and date I may add! Terrible business practices! read more

From start to finish, this was a really fun experience! Our team was on top of our project and finished the job quickly. We love our back yard pavers and fire pit! read more

Below is a letter I sent to System Pavers after an awful experience with the company. Unfortunately, I received no response. We recently decided to give them another chance and had a similar experience. It seems that there is a definite disconnect between the contractor and the people who actually do the work. Poor management. That is what is leading me to post this review: April 16, 2011 To Whom It May Concern: On February 23rd, 2011, System Pavers started a project in our backyard, which consisted of installation of some artificial turf, pavers, a fire pit and a semi-circular 8-foot wall. This is not the first time we have hired System Pavers. We have spent nearly $80,000 with this company. Several years ago they installed a new driveway, sidewalk, patio and walkway in both front and backyards of our property and everything went fairly well. Unfortunately, this time, it was not the case. I will list the problems we had in this situation numerically, since there were so many, making it easy for you to reference. 1. The first morning of work, a truck arrived at 6:45am to deliver the pavers. No one from System Pavers was here to supervise the delivery. The driver had to use a Bobcat to move pavers from the truck to our driveway and in doing so, blocked our garage doors with pavers so we could not use one garage for a week. 2. The pavers that were delivered that morning were the wrong ones. So, work had to stop and the project was automatically behind schedule. The correct pavers arrived 3 days later. Again, no one was here when the truck arrived at 7am. 3. As the artificial turf was being installed, any leftover turf was being dumped into our green garbage cans, which are only to be used for REAL greens, not artificial. When our garbage bins were full, I watched as 2 of the System Pavers workers walked to the neighbors' cans, which happened to be on the street, and dumped more leftover turf into their green cans. 4. We were told by our System Pavers sales rep, Jeff Geer, that the company would also provide us with gravel to place around several trees and along a retaining wall in our backyard. When I asked where it was, the Field Supervisor, Estella, told me that WE were to provide the gravel and they would place it for us. I declined and later, bought it and placed it myself. 5. Jeff Geer also told us that we would have a fire pit installed. We hired a plumber to lay the gas line as directed by both Jeff and Estella, which he did. The Systems Paver workers then built us a pit of pavers and brick, which looked really nice, but was not a finished fire pit. When we asked when the pit would be finished, i.e. with a fire ring, lava rock and fire glass installed, we were told by Estella that System Pavers does not do that work. Isn't that a bit like buying a car with no engine? Had we known that, we would have had another company do the work. 6. The morning after all of the work was finished, we called Estella, who was so rarely present that it's really no wonder so much went wrong, to let her know that we would do a walk-through of the work and call if we had comments or questions. As we started our walk-through, my husband and I both noticed the smell of urine near the work site. And then we saw the urine, running down a wall that was built around our heating unit for our hot tub. So, for 2 and 1/2 weeks, 6 male Systems Paver workers decided it best to urinate in our yard instead of ring a doorbell and ask to use a bathroom. Wait, let me correct that. They urinated on cement, not even in the yard, as if that would be any better. We called Estella immediately and after she told us that this was not the first time she has had complaints of this sort, she sent Oscar, the crew chief, with a bottle of disinfectant, to clean the area. He did so and left. After the last problem, we decided to talk with a manager. Estella gave us the number of Tom. My husband, Rich, spoke with Tom about all of our issues and Tom agreed to have the workers come back and complete the fire pit with gravel, a ring and fire glass, which they did, a week later. However, they arrived with not enough glass to fill the pit, and we had to order more ourselves. Tom agreed to pay for the extra fire glass. He also sent us a check for $1300, to cover a $5600 discrepancy that we were charged as a result of Jeff Geer not showing us all options of the look and color of the artificial turf. By the way, System Pavers also did our pool. When the tile arrived, they installed it incorrectly and Estella said to me, "I wondered why we had so much tile left over." It's inexcusable. I felt it important to make you aware of this situation since unfortunately, we will not be using System Pavers in the future. We have always been impressed with the actual masonry work, but all things considered, it's not worth the cost and headaches involved. read more

I decided to go with System Pavers for my "very" neglected back yard, after checking out the price of cement work, workers, & lack of any type of guarantee/warranty on cement work. The warranty that System Pavers offers on pavers (25 yrs) & turf (10 yrs) is fantastic! I doubt you will find anything better! Chris Van Rossum was my initial contact with System Pavers, & he was very knowledgeable & explained each detail to me & then to my husband. Mark Trojanowski was project manager & was here every morning to check the work being done each day. Isaac was lead worker of 3 men & the 3 of them work very hard & do a great job! Timeframe was reasonable & completed job is fantastic! I look forward to enjoying my backyard for a long time!! read more

System pavers did a great job on our backyard project and we are very happy with the outcome. Keep up the great work.

We used System Pavers for our full backyard remodel. Pavers, patio covers, fire pit, free standing barb b q, landscape design and a paved out basketball court with a custom Laker logo engraved in the pavers. I will say first this isn't the cheapest company out there, however I felt the quality of work and crew I was able to work with helped me swallow up the fact that it was on the higher priced side. The crew that was assigned to our project worked long days here and always kept it clean after they worked. Our project manager Ryan M. was amazing. He was able to put up with all of my annoying questions each week, and was really good about keeping in communication with us. My kids loved when Ryan would come by and visit the project. He became like family by the end since our project lasted extra weeks because we began in the rain season that seemed to last forever!! We get nothing but compliments on our new gorgeous backyard! Thank you System Pavers! read more

Similar to KarineL, we also purchased a new construction home in the same community and needed a landscaper that understood the constraints of a very small backyard with neighbors a mere few feet away. Met with Scot Birrell and not only was he friendly and personable, he came prepared and proved very knowledgeable about his product, his designs and the restrictions of this community. He's experienced and professional. Once we started discussing what we envisioned for our small backyard Scot quickly grasped our concept and came up with some very smart suggestions. He even considered the needs of the dog and ensured we had pet-friendly areas. Scot recommended a gorgeous color scheme that we absolutely LOVE! We added landscaping, lighting, and believe it or not a small pergola for privacy, with installed lights. Our project manager, Cory, proved relentless! He worked around our demanding work schedules and met with us in the evenings and weekends to work out any issues with the installation. He doggedly worked the lighting issues to ensure we had a smart wireless system that met our needs. Our backyard is a showcase for the neighborhood. We couldn't be happier with the result. Our small space is a very serene and inviting area, all due to System Pavers and the Scot and Cory team. Thanks so much gentlemen! read more

What an incredible experience. We had a big job, a complete backyard remodel, and a complete front yard remodel, including expanding our driveway and adding a retaining wall. It began with Jon, our design consultant, who showed up for our initial consultation exactly on time. Jon spent 4 1/2 hours at our house. He told us about the company, went over how the entire process would go, and all the steps they take. Then he showed us all our options, gave us recommendations, and answered all our questions. Then he went outside and measured our property, drew up detailed diagrams, and gave us our quote. I had researched what pavers should cost, and it's a wide range. System Pavers, being the giant in the industry, I expected them to be at the top of that range. We were very surprised how reasonable the quote was. We were so impressed with the whole package, we signed the contract that night. Sam, our Project Manager was great. He was here on site almost every day, making sure the project was on track, keeping us informed on everything that was going on, coordinating the material deliveries, and making great suggestions along the way. Sonovio the foreman, and his crew were fantastic. We had the same crew every day, they worked so hard, for 10 or 11 hours a day. I can't say enough about the workmanship, and attention to detail that they put into their work. The results are better than we could have imagined, and its amazing they did all this in just a couple of weeks. read more

If you are going to contact System Pavers for an estimate, I highly recommend requesting Michael Skilliter. Although we have to put our project on the back burner for now, I can't say enough good things about the design consultation I had with him. During all of our home improvement projects over the years, I have never had a person invest so much time in working with me to come up with the perfect design plan for my home. He is incredibly patient , and thorough! And not to mention, has an incredible eye for design! As soon as he saw my wood floors in the entrance of my home, he suggested doing timberline, a new paver that looks like wood, on my patio to extend the look of the wood grain. He didn't just hand me a catalogue to show me what it looks like, but instead gave me his iPad so I could easily scroll through examples of it in his massive portfolio of projects he has done before. I was completely sold on all of his ideas. I could tell Michael is really passionate about his craft and really cares about his clients and manifesting their ultimate vision. In other words, it didn't feel like I was meeting with just another sales associate of a large company, but a personable landscape designer who loves what he does and knows how to work with, and enhance your vision. I thought I would be overwhelmed with the options when it came to choosing pavers, lights, and turf, but Michael made it surprisingly simple, and I was left feeling completely happy & confident in the design we came up with. I highly highly recommend meeting with senior design consultant, Michael! read more

They did the driveway, walkway and front porch entry. They are not the cheapest option but definitively worth the investment. Very professional from start to finish. Kris was the front end sales consultant and did a great job laying things out and helping with the choice of pavers. We had issues with the approval process from the HOA and Kris personally want down to the homeowners association and walked through the paperwork and got the approval done. Travis came on board once the job got started. He was very professional as well, walking through each part if the process and dealing with any concerns I had. He got the job complete a couple of days early and done right. The install team was very clean and seemed to love their work. The attention to detail was awesome. If I ever need pavers again I will reach out to them as long as they send me the same team. read more

We just had our back patio re-done and from beginning to end, the process was seamless. This is literally the first construction project we've done at our home where I can honestly say it was effortless!Starting with Charlie, who came by to give us a design and a quote. He was very knowledgeable and helpful in designing our dream patio! The team who did the demolition and construction, led by Sam, were amazing!!! Sam was always available by phone and in person, from beginning to end!! The craftsman were very talented and patient with my questions!! It was a true pleasure working with System Pavers! read more

They get 5 stars for the work and price, and 3 stars for communication. The pavers themselves look fabulous. You really won't be disappointed by the professionalism of the team working on the project or the end result itself. Seriously top notch work. They also had a very competitive bid price - I think their size lets them get great prices on the high quality pavers themselves. The reason they get 4 stars instead of 5 is the communication side of things. Even at the start of the project before we had booked them, emails or calls would go unanswered for long stretches of time - think like 4 or 5 days, which can be frustrating when you are trying to get a project done in time for summer. Anytime we did meet with our representative or have communication over email, it was nothing but professional. It was the lack of responses that I found confusing given a company of this size. Additionally, this was our first time using pavers, and we weren't knowledgeable about the process. They did a great job explaining the steps, but the project itself did take longer than we were told initially (two weeks instead of a week), which is fine considering the high quality work they did. My issue came at the end, when it turned out joint locking and sealing were not included in our price. This left us with pavers that just had loose sand everywhere and we had to hire another company to come in and joint lock and seal the pavers. I just wish that had been communicated a bit more clearly up front. I would have rather had that part of the process be rolled into the one bid price rather than an extra expense at the end. We had several companies out to give us bids, and ultimately I am happy we chose system pavers. read more

This was my first experience installing pavers or any driveway for that matter. Michael and his team were fantastic to deal with; the whole process was simple. I would highly recommend System Pavers and do not get fooled by companies or people you claim to know how to install pavers. Our project was challenging; our property is above 8,000 feet. As well, we are on the top of a hill with a steep slope. Watching the install process gave me full confidence that I will have a driveway to be proud of for years to come. Additionally, if I sell the property I can pass on the 25 year warranty to the new owner adding instant value to my property. read more

This contractor in Tacoma laid a concrete paver patio in our neighbors yard. They cut their pavers against our fence so that all of the silica and concrete dust blew into our garden, over our heat pump A/C equipment, on our windows, siding, plants. His staff did not wear masks or protective eyewear while using a dry cut hand saw in contravention of OSHA and L&I rules. I did my backyard with System pavers 18 months back. At that time, they advertised 20 year warrant for their work... Beware of their warranty. Read their terms and conditions. Their warranty does not cover the most common issues related to joint sand etc... Expected a better service/warranty from them. Their warranty covers the issues that most likely will never happen. And they do not cover the issues that most customers would experience... read more

We are very sorry that we chose System Pavers- they are the worst. Our pavers started fading and showing calcium deposits soon after we had them installed- every time someone from SP and even Angelus stones came out they blamed everthing and everybody except themselves- it was our sprinklers, it was the wind, it was the rain, but no, their pavers were not the problem. We were not told beforehand that the sprinklers were going to be a problem, but the fading and discoloration is evident even in the areas where no sprinkler water could or did reach. After almost $30000 worth of paving (we are still paying for it), our driveway looks like it was laid a hundred years ago and our backyard, especially now after all the rain, is covered in white. Their customer service is worse- we have written letters and called and emailed, only to be yelled at or lectured to or ignored- the last encounter on the phone was with a gentleman who said that unless we spent a lot of money in redoing our sprinkler system (putting it underground), they washed their hands of us. We have no problem with the installation crew- they did a great job- our problem is that our very expensive pavers look like s--t. I have seen my neighbors' pavers, some of which were laid before ours, and they look great. I have seen pavers in public areas that were laid ten years before ours, and they look like new, even though they have thousands of people walking on them, and even cars driving on them, and rain and snow falling on them, and wind blowing over them, and kids spilling milkshakes and ice cream and sodas, and cigarette butts and spit and snot. Every solution SP gives us does not include any fault of theirs or their pavers but is going to cost us more money- fix your sprinklers, have the pavers sealed every couple of years. DO NOT USE SYSTEM PAVERS! read more

Great response time from Chris Rocha at System Pavers on fixing my lighting sytem. Just in time for my guest this evening. Thanks a bunch!!

Beware ! I arranged a quote at the OC fair opening weekend. That experience was kinda weird and not informative at all. The rep was very young and did not have any answers for many of my questions. The Meeting was set for July 15th. The sales rep was yet another very young person who spent 5 min showing us sample book, which contained several completed job. She did some measurements outside and came back inside with a quote $37K for laying down turf and pavers WOW ! I asked her to please break down the cost of the job, piece by piece and all she kept saying was "we have the best warranty in the business" I advised her I had two previous quotes, and they both came in 60% percent less of what she was quoting. She asked to see the quotes so she can compare apples to apples versus the other companies. When I said no. She became very hostile, closed her laptop, gather her sample books and left. The radio ad is misleading. They don't sent an experience sales rep, no before and after photos of what your back yard would look like and they don't explain how the job would get done. I'm glad I got this company out here and I was able to make my decision to hire another contractor. They broke ground Monday and my project should be completed in next few weeks at a much lower price and I even got some free palm tress. :) read more

After hearing the ads on the radio and being referred by a co-worker, I decided to go with System Pavers for a project for a brand new backyard. James Navarrette, our initial contact, came in for a design evaluation and helped develop a design that properly utilized the space we had in the backyard. Our guests rave about our backyard and how creative the design is! After that, our Project Manager, Ryan Mainwaring took over and was fantastic to deal with. With a project start date in January, and dealing with the torrential rain we saw in Southern California that month, Ryan was a true pro, keeping us notified of what needed to be done, working around the rain schedule, and maintaining a completion schedule that exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend. Spend the extra couple bucks and go with the pros - the warranty itself makes the investment worth it. read more

This review is really just on the sales and service aspect of System Pavers, as I chose not to move forward with contract signing because of my experience. The sales lady was very enthusiastic and friendly initially. She was on time and provided me lots of pictures of sample work they have done previously. I was given a quote, which I told her honestly that I will be meeting with a couple of other vendors to compare. Subsequently, I followed up with her with a promotion that was offered on their website. She agreed to give me the promotion (free demolition), but severely undervalued the discount (in my opinion). She also informed me that there are additional charges to what she had initially quoted me, essentially raising the final number. The most frustrating part is that she couldn't give me a straight answer of how much more those additional charges would be without revisiting my home. I called, emailed and texted her multiple times to set this up, but she never even bothered responding to me. In the end, it felt like she thought I was hung up on the price and it wasn't worth her time to circle back to me. As a potential customer, I did not feel valued and I felt her service was very disappointing. I also contacted the System Pavers office, asking to speak to a manager. But I was told that there is no manager available EVER to speak with me if I just call in, and that the only channel is for a consultant to call me back to discuss. I took my business elsewhere, and I chose it based on the vendor's customer service and quality of work. Even though System Pavers' initial quote was about $2000 less than the company I hired, I felt much more confidence in the service and responses of the latter. It's not just about the money, it's about experience and quality. read more

My husband and I had our first consultation today with System Pavers and we were truly disappointed. I would've given only one star for this review, but the second star is there bc we actually learned that some of these patio contractors are full of shit, and without today's consultation we wouldn't have realized, so thank you for that. Here's how today's "free" consultation went which started at 9am: 1.) guy shows up to our new home, thinking it's okay to walk inside our home with his shoes on. Where's the courtesy? 2.) we let the guy know what we wanted and our budget, he seemed to understand. 3.) a few hours later, he comes back after doing the measurements and coming up with an idea for the house, and the budget was more than twice our budget. 4.) he then offended us by stating, "maybe it's better off you do concrete all over the house, hah, that'll get you guys to the budget you guys want." 5.) System Pavers wasted 5 hours of our time, this crucial time when we're extremely busy setting up our new home. Disappointed. 6.) p.s. He stated that we can't do all of the things we wanted within our budget, little did he know, we've met with several other patio contractors, and some of them are actually able to do it around our price range 0:) think twice before you say something stupid to your customers, because this experience will be heard within this new, rich Irvine community very quickly 0:) we apologize if we're simply being smart about how we want to spend for our new home 0:) ta ta . read more

When looking around at various paving companies to get quotes, my father-in-law recommended System Pavers because a buddy of his used them to pave his driveway and was happy with the results. We called them up, got a quote, and after a little back and forth got a price that we were happy with. System Pavers seems to have varying reviews amongst people. Some accuse them of farming out their jobs (and this upsets them), while others are perfectly happy with their work. I'm somewhere in-between. The work they did was good and solid. My patio has never looked better. I'm also happy with the price and the attention my job got from their company even though it was probably on the smaller side of things they usually work on. My upset with them, though, comes from their hired labor. Ignoring that nobody on their labor team spoke English, they left a lot of trash just lying around. This wasn't trash that they needed to use nor was it trash they intended to pick up. This was stuff like empty soda cans, paper scraps, plastic, etc, and it was all laying outside my garage. They were too lazy/inconsiderate to clean up after themselves. After having a word with the supervisor(s), the problem never happened again. It's a good thing too, as my HOA wouldn't have reacted too kindly to a big bundle of trash outside my garage tarnishing the neighborhood (that was sarcastic, btw). In short: System Pavers is a good company, does good work, but requires a bit of oversight to ensure everything is done to satisfaction. read more

The issue I had with System Pavers was not the initial workmanship. The problem was with their warranty service. A week after the driveway was installed, one guy, who seemed in a hurry came out to seal it. The sealer was not properly applied; it may have been watered down. Consequently, sand began disappearing from between the pavers, especially after a rain. I had to call six different times for warranty service before I even got a response. After waiting weeks, the same guy came out with a small ketchup sized bottle of sealer, for what he called, "touch-up". He didn't want to reseal the whole driveway because a second coat would be "counter productive". After doing some basic research, I later found out what he told me isn't the case at all. The problem with the disappearing sand between the pavers continued. Since System Pavers flatly refused to fix the the sealer issue, I decided I would re-seal the driveway myself. I called System Pavers again to ask what product they used to seal it so I could purchase the same sealer from a builders' supply. The lady told me she would have "engineering" call me with that information. It's been days, and I still haven't gotten a return call. Interestingly, System Pavers has a referral policy that sounds fantastic. If one of their clients refers them for a job, they will send that client a $500 referral fee. Some people, who haven't experienced calling System Pavers for warranty service, may refer them to receive the reward. However, I have later run into other people, who went with other paver contractors, for their driveways and told me they paid almost half of what we paid. Someone's paying for that $500 referral fee, think about it! So here's my advice: even though they claim their work has a 25 year warranty, they fail to mention that they will follow-up on service, sometime around when Hell freezes over, and then good luck getting any results. If you want a great driveway at a great price, AND great warranty service, do yourself a favor and look for another contractor. read more

EDIT: Just wanted to include that I did respond to System Pavers reply on here, forwarded them my saved e-mails just so they know I didn't make any of this up, the person said they were forwarding them to upper management, that's the last I heard. After I purchased my home I got a quote from System Pavers for a front walkway. The guy tells me a standard walkway is 4 feet wide. I told him don't you think that would look ridiculous being that my house is so tiny, he claimed it was the standard, I didn't end up getting the work done, but kept them in mind. Recently I was looking to get the back done so I had SP come out. They start out w/an outrageous price then say "I'll give you a 15% discount for scheduling it today, I can't give this discount say 1 week from now, it's TODAY ONLY". He starts off at $8K for 396 square feet + 1 drain. He comes down to $6,550 and we've got a deal because I want It done before the rain hits, + I have a coupon: NO PAYMENTS UNTIL SUMMER 2014. I inquire about a permit for the drain he says it's included. The papers are signed, job scheduled, everything is good.... Then I start thinking they could shorten the patio 2 feet and give me a walkway in the front, the square footage would remain EXACTLY the same, so I send the guy an email, I also inquire about permits since I had the time to read the FINE PRINT: "purchaser will obtain and pay for all permits", I get a reply he says permits are not required for my city, BUT I've already contacted the city so I know he's not being truthful. I tell him this and get no response, I wait a day & say I have 3 days to cancel this order, I need to know if it's included, his reply "it's included. Trust me we wouldn't be in business 20 years nation wide company if we didn't do what we say".... So he comes out to do a change order for the front walkway and says it's an additional $198 for demo (BUT WAIT ACCORDING TO MY CONTRACT DEMO IS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE). I inquire again about the permit and he says if anything the permit is what $25, I said no it's $175, then he says we can do a different kind of drain that does not require a permit (BUT ORIGINALLY HE TOLD ME A POP OUT DRAIN WOULD NOT WORK FOR ME). Then he starts telling me well it's up to the contract manager really & you can bring this up to them.... They also start trying to give me the run around & I let them know I'm not having it, if the permit is not included they need to say so, not lie about it. This person is a bit more truthful than the sales guy.... The work gets done, and on a scale of 1 - 5, I'd give it a 3.5, the drain works, but the way they have the pavers a lot of water is flowing the opposite way of the drain which is not what I wanted, theres a lot of sand even now months after the pavers have been installed. The walkway is crooked, I told the workers about this when I noticed it but they already had it cemented, so they corrected it the best they could, BUT it's still crooked, oh and the kicker they started billing me the following month, the guy did not write on my paperwork the coupon I had for NO PAYMENTS UNTIL SUMMER 2014, oh and I have a big pile of pavers stacked in my backyard that was leftover from the job... The sales guy claimed the cost of the drain was $800, so they charged me $6,550 + $198 = $6,748 - $800.....So the cost of the pavers was approx $15 per square foot. Like I said I like reviews with prices, that tells the real deal. SEALER IS NOT INCLUDED EITHER. read more

Highly recommend 5 Stars! I did my research with a few companies, and my initial thought was to rule out System Pavers because of my budget constraints. After meeting with Cory, Noel, and their team, I was able to better understand the value that they brought to the table. Yes, I invested more than my initial budget, but it was definitely worth every penny. Cory is an amazing project manager. He was thorough with his planning, communication, and execution. He made sure that he checked-in with me throughout the project and any necessary changes were made without a big hassle. He was also very willing to help with anything he could! I would highly recommend Cory & System Pavers! Thank you for helping to bring my backyard vision to life! read more

SMALL JOB, BIG QUALITY My wife and I, residents of Glendale, CA, just last week had System Pavers do a small but much needed job in our front yard, which was to replace a horse-shoe shaped walkway (approx. 290 sq. feet) paved with decomposed granite (DG) with a surface of interlocking bricks. When the DG is dry, it's as hard as, well, granite. But when it gets wet, like during the rainy season, it turns muddy, becomes channeled by water run-off, and is pitted by water dripping off the eaves of the roof. To prevent the pitting, I was having to cover with plastic sheeting. From the date of the visit by the design consultant to their start on the job was only 10 days, and it would've been 5 had there not been a rain dump midweek. The design consultant, Tyler, was personable, had a polished laptop presentation (featuring a satisfied customer of some fame - Bill Handel, the morning drive host on KFI 640 radio) and had a truck filled with samples of brick types and colors. We chose the weathered-looking brick in three shades of gray. The project took only one day for the work crew to complete, which including taking up the old DG, putting down the bricks, creating a set of steps, and filling the narrow crevices between the stones with sand. The finished product looks impressive, and the crew cleaned up the construction debris to perfection. Our only minor complaint was that an area on which we store our wheeled trash bins behind a gate was a bit narrower after completion compared to what it was before because the steps they'd constructed had a slightly longer footprint than before. Once we made this known, the crew came back a couple days later and widened the space to our complete satisfaction with an additional row of bricks. The completed project was inspected by a field supervisor named Estella who couldn't have been more pleasant or helpful. Writing the final check for her was painless as we feel we got tremendous value for the money and we'd have no hesitation to call System Pavers again if and when we want to have our side patio resurfaced in the same brick. read more

We had big problems with our concrete driveway due to three big pine trees next to it causing unevenness and several people tripping and falling. We had put off getting it replaced due to how much we thought it would be but finally decided to get some bids. System Paver's rep came out and had the most professional presentation and was very close to some of the other bids. The 25 year guarantee was very important to us and we went with them. Long story short, in one week we had the most beautiful driveway in the community! They also remodeled a planter to match the driveway and widened the sidewalk and put in a new retaining wall, it looks great! I don't understand some of the bad reviews but we were very happy and don't have to worry about the driveway for 25 years! read more
