This is my updated review for System Pavers. I want to point out that they are an outstanding company overall, they stood by their warranty. That was one of the main reasons i chose them, the other is the quality they provide in their craftsmanship. I had a problem with the quality, and the customer service from the PM they initially assigned. They then assigned Tony Garcia to this issue we had, and he basically brought in his crew and knocked it out in about a day.. I am very pleased with the work Tony's crew did. It just goes to show not every company is perfect, but at least they have to fix their mistakes. read more

We started our backyard pavement project with System pavers just before COVID-19 happened, the project crew had to pause the work because of the safety precautions in place. Once the project resumed, company was very professional making sure all safety measures were adhered to, construction crew was wearing masks, even maintaining social distancing while working. We worked with Project manager, Javier Rodriguez, he is extremely professional and friendly at same time. He visited the job site every day to make sure our project was not only on track but also that the crew was doing top notch job. We even added scope of the project seeing how professionally it was handled. Over all we are very satisfied with the work that System Pavers did for us. The result are no short of excellent. Highly recommended. read more

I had a great experience with system paver coming in quickly to remove pavers to get access to leak and then putting pavers all back to original state in a very timely manner. The site foreman Oscar stopped bye on many occasions to ensure job was progressing. He even followed up after completion days later. I would highly recommend Oscar and his team. read more

I would recommend System Pavers if I had the guarantee that Sam Salcedo would have nothing to do with the job. He is the most condescending person I have ever met and thankful will not speak to again. read more

System Pavers just finished our deck in Crestline, CA and it looks beautiful! They did a great job on the plans, San Bernadino County permits, and County inspections. The winter rainy and snowy weather didn't make it easy either but they never complained and got the job done. The customer service from Roger, Jackie, Thomas, Janel, Bobby, and Wade was Excellent! I have to add Thomas didn't give up on us when we told him about our budget. He was able to figure out a way to design our beautiful deck within our budget. Thank you all for doing an excellent job on our beautiful deck! read more

I was very pleased with work done by System Pavers when they finished my driveway. The team that did My project was led by Jose Muniz, as Project Manager. For me they perfectly finished to the smallest detail and were so "neat" in every aspect!!!! I have absolutely no problem in recommending Jose Muniz and his team! You will be PLEASED. read more

This review is long overdue but they did an amazing job putting pavers near our pool. Be sure to ask for Evan. He was very honest and knowledgeable about the soil in our city and gave us the best suggestion. I was afraid to call because it was a small project but he said no project was too small. His entire team was lovely and very professional. Will definitely be calling him again! read more

I have been enjoying my backyard with both pavers and artificial turf, a custom dog run, and a fountain that System Pavers designed and installed for me almost seven years ago and absolutely love it. They made my dream back yard come to life--and everything came out exactly as promised and right on budget. The sign of a good company is one that stands behind its work, and System Pavers and Project Manager Ryan Mainwaring, along with colleague Roger Torres & supervisor Luis Paez, personify System Pavers' quality guarantee. When I experienced a small problem this month with part of the installation, despite the fact that everything was almost 7 years old, Ryan and crew came out and fixed the problem and made sure I was satisfied and happy. I could not be happier with my back yard and System Pavers, and highly recommend them! read more

System Pavers just completed replacing our concrete driveway that was nearly 40 years old. 3300 sf. They also put all the downspouts underground so the new pavers would not discolor from rain water off roof. Workmanship was excellent, crew worked diligently and finished early. I had system paver done my driveway, entrance and some backyard work 7 years ago. It was very nice. Now we want to add synthetic lawn and adding some additional hardscaling. The sales person came, we ask him to give us some suggestions (ad said free design), he felt the square footage was too small. He said that he wanted to take some pictures from my backyard. The he left without closing my fence gate. Never got back to me. I guess the job maybe too small? read more

We moved into a new community where everyone is doing landscaping. System Pavers salesman rang our door to sell us their services. After multiple calls someone else came out to talk to my wife while I was at work. He literally told my wife that he can't tell her anything more unless the husband was home. Huh??? This person needs a lesson on business practice not to mention humanism and reality. I'm sure that wives have at least 50% decision making in matters related to home and yard - it's more like 99% in my home. If he asked me I would have told him, I don't care as long as it's cheap. Absolutely no interested in talking to these people or seeing them in my neighborhood. read more

We had an amazing experience with System Pavers paving our driveway. We had Karen as our design consultant and initial sales person. She was helpful and understood what we wanted. We initially arranged to start the middle of March but with the coronavirus it was pushed back. Our contractor, Sam, stayed in touch and they contacted us Monday evening to say they could start. Bright and early Tuesday their crew arrived. They were professional and so quick. By Thursday everything was done!! And they cleaned up beautifully! Their website with all the Crew's contacts was easy to use and pay as needed when each step was reached. Initial deposit, when materials are ordered, when they start the work and when they are finished. Sam was so professional and caring. The laborers were hard working and skilled in what they did. Our project is underway with System Pavers but I wanted to compliment the entire team for a truly professional job to date. I can't thank the initial sales representative Robert Frost and now Mark Trojanowski the Project Manager. From the time I first met him to go over the project to his daily visits to discuss the ongoing process he has been the consummate professional. Isack the construction supervisor and his workers are doing a superb job as well being mindful of the neighborhood during the morning hours. Interesting that when the truck driver delivered the pallets of material from the supplier he asked who the project manager was. When I told him that it was Mark Trojanowski he said that he was a great individual to deal with. He also remarked that System Pavers was the best he had seen in the industry in Northern California. I can't wait to give a final review when the project is completed. read more

Long story short HORRIBLE SALES TACTIC, BAIT AND SWITCH MUCH?! JEFF BROWN ABSOLUTELY WASTED OUR TIME, AND HIS CONDESCENDING TONE OF NOT HAPPILY DROPPING $8K+ FOR A JOB WE DONT EVEN WANT (RATHER FORCED ONTO US).. NO THANKS We want to put some pavers down on just 1 area: - side yard gate to driveway, so our trash cans don't have to be dragged through a dirt path With the likely possibility of also adding on: - lining the length of our driveway, 1.5 ft (maaaybe 2 ft dependent on pavers chosen) to have more space to strap the kiddos into their car seat whenever we park on the drive way System Pavers sent Jeff Brown to do an estimate, last Saturday morning (7/13/19). It was clearly communicated what we wanted. Very clear At that point, Jeff Brown could have just said, that there's a minimum (sq ft, or $$) and not have wasted our busy Saturday morning (hungry kids & all). Instead, he goes on to do a general sales pitch. He's pretty clear on what color to recommend (& doesn't really reciprocate when we seem reluctant with his rec). He showing small tiny color samples (like paint chips) off a manufacturer printed booklet, and doesn't know his literature. Can't match the color he recommends to installed photos. The sample squares are all more pigmented, so no where near true to color. Anyways, he then asks for 20 mins to measure our front yard. Sure.. We then regroup, and he continues to sales pitch. He asks for a little more time. When we regroup a second time, he comes inside to show us his drawing (I will give it to him, it's very well done), and does mention to ignore his rendering of our front entrance (landscaped with concrete). He then talk about the history of the company, the big jobs (non relevant to us) that they've done, etcetc then show a video rendering of how pavers are installed. I'm uninterested since I know what I need to know, and just want the estimate. Even in the video, he mentions to ignore the Concrete being drilled/ and Demo'ed. Since it's not relevant to us He then sits there inputting what I believe the sq ft, pavers etc he wants, and asks us to guess what we think it'll cost. We say we have no idea (but of course we do), and he makes a little bit of HGTV show in revealing the price by creating (fake) suspense and stalling on clicking the calculate. It shows up to be over $8,000. And trust me, that ridiculous. For the side gate to concrete? Not even the length of THIRD the garage.. Yea.. not happening So he skims over that his company does have a square feet minimum, so this cost will be all inclusive. And with this price, he will include lining our drive ANNNNDDD get this, our front entrance. Almost condescendingly saying that our curb appeal is uggg, and the steps we have (literally 2 steps, that almost every house in our track have) is not contemporary. Etc etc I ask for the cost of just the side yard, he responds it is the same. Whether they do the job we asked an estimate for, to add the driveway trim, or to bring a drill and remove all the front yard concrete to our front door and pave the entirety. He makes it sound like it's amazing, say he will give us time to think about it and walks out. Maybe in 5? Mins, I try to have him come back but he's on the phone. So another 10-15 minutes later he joins. When I tell him this is not the job we want, he doesn't address it. He mentions that it's a lot of value/ curb appeal. He talks about the no interest 12 month payment plan a couple time, to which I tell him it's not the $8k. That if I want all this, I understand it'll cost the $8k but that isn't want we want done. Literally diverts. I tell him I don't want drilling, nothing wrong without front etc etc. he responds that he will be in & out in 2 days. It gets tiring trying to say "no thanks" nicely. All this time, we gave up our Saturday morning plans. We are not being attentive to our hungry children (I managed to give them some cereal, shush them to be quieter, etc) for what? To hear a quote for work we don't want. So as my husband has to take over some baby duties, he takes them to the other room. I mean, I've said no at least 3x in a nice way. I just straight up tell Jeff Brown- That he seems like a nice guy. But he must have known right away WITHOUt measuring that our requested job doesn't hit the company minimum. He should have just been upfront. Apparently we aren't even close to not hitting that min. We are far far faaaar from it. And that, he has wasted all our time. That the company should be honest and upfront. What company policy is to do this??! When he realized there's no convincing, he packed up quick and just walked off. I can NOT recommend System pavers. We have since asked for quotes, and all other companies are upfront with minimums. (Edit to add: I might have the wrong last name) read more

System Pavers is a joke!! Made an appointment with them to come and give us a quote to do pavers on our backyard! Typical sales person spent most of his time talking up the company, mentioning how they are the best in the business, and showing us videos on how amazing the work they do is. This is not my first rodeo, and the longer he went without him mentioning anything about price confirmed to me what was about to happen. After 2 hrs of wasted time, he finally told me that it was going to cost $30,000 to do this little backyard of around 500 sqft. He lied about promotions that are supposedly going on and that he had already applied those savings to get me to that price. When I told him that this was ridiculous he said there might be some discounts we can do to get you to $24,000. All of a sudden he found $6,000 in discounts??? Shady tactics!!! Typical sales BS where they drown out the process for a long time and then surprise you at the end. He asked from the beginning if I had spoken to any other companies or had gotten quotes prior to System Pavers. I said no, because I wanted to see if they were going to take advantage of me. Sure enough they tried!! I'm sure they do good work, but so do many other Licensed Professionals for less than half the cost of System Pavers. Don't waste your time and money on a company that conducts themselves in this manner. Response to Cali D (business employee) Please don't respond with the assumption that the pricing was frustrating. Trying to rip someone off by hitting them with a high price hoping that they will say yes, is frustrating. Quoting someone then back peddling $6000 to try to make the deal is frustrating. Didn't write my review for a response from your shady business. I wrote this review for your potential customers. Hopefully my experience will give them some insight into what to expect when System Pavers comes to their house trying to take advantage. read more

System Pavers upgraded my small back/side yard areas. They removed old concrete patio and dirt/weeds, and installed drainage, drip plumbing, pavers and some artificial turf. All aspects, from sales process thru construction were done in a professional and quality manner that instilled confidence, and communication was excellent throughout. Jose M, project manager, was very open, helpful, knowledgable and patient in explaining every aspect. Overall, competent and a pleasure to work with. He regularly inspected and ensured all details of the construction were of optimal quality, and walked me through it. The installation crew worked hard, fast and seemed very efficient. They kept the site as clean and organized as possible. System Pavers is not inexpensive, but with it comes the benefit of using a large, reputable company. The quality of all aspects of the project made it well worth the money. The outcome is beautiful. read more

I bought a System Pavers back yard two years ago. During the install I found out from my neighbor that one of the employees tried to sell him my extra pavers (for cash). After first year we had to have the warranty work done to get the edging replaced and most of the patio re leveled. In April I contacted them because most of the pavers are uneven, lost sand (i've re sanded twice) and all bumpy. It is now end of June, still waiting for the work to be done. The representative says it is because they are busy with new jobs. OK, but your busy schedule isn't my fault. When do I get my backyard fixed. After summer is over?? Company isn't standing behind their warrant. Used to be the warrant was a big selling point-a piece of mind. Not with System pavers. read more

I am extremely disappointed and upset with the shotty work that was done in my driveway by System Pavers. After they finished not shortly we're there many spots on my driveway due to their vibrating motor on the roller. SP did a horrible job. There was a day when they screwed up on the schedule being a no show which equals no good and unreliable! Because of this I lost a day's pay. It was so upsetting. They may quote a fair, cheap price but do not expect them to honor it. Find a reputable company because their workmanship equates to garbage. I am still in the process of trying to resolve the mess and damage they created on my property by reaching out to above and beyond including some gal Jennifer Ressler who is supposed to be a VP or Regional Mgr of some sort. My emails and calls by them have not been returned. I am about ready to report them to the BBB. Just do your research well prior to committing to a company. Unfortunately, I have regrets with SP. read more

Do your research, I repeat do your research before signing a contract with system pavers. They use most of the same products out there but charges you 5X more than what you should pay for. They are a middle man business model. They do not, I repeat, do not have a crew of their but rather contractors. They also sub-contract to other local companies. They won't tell you that I found out myself when we tried to get pergola or patio covers. They jacked up their prices so high because they say it is back with their outstanding warranty. I say B.S., just to deal with warranty work is a nightmare. I dealt with them for more than a year and finally settled down to get walkway pavers done. Initially, we started out with a big project to install patio pavers, fire pit and fountain. Then, it switched to pergola/covers. Our original sales person is Anthony. He's a good guy doing his job. Honestly, I felt bad and should've kept the original project with him. The next sales person to take over is Byron. For some reason, he couldn't make the contract paperwork to show how the prices are broken down when Anthony was able to. He didn't even communicate what was supposed to be our backyard paver design to the project manager. Also, when they scheduled this, they mentioned they won't start until Tuesday but their workers showed up early Monday morning. The fact I'm not aware of this and they just let themselves in our backyard is so unprofessional. They didn't even ring our doorbell. My dogs started to bark then all I saw is a head out in the kitchen window. I went out to check it, then I saw their lead worker. I allowed them to work which is no biggie but would've been nice to get a phone call first to confirm. What if we weren't home? A couple of hours later, I got a call from Wade the project manager. He apologize and himself wasn't aware of the scheduled work until he got to work. Anyways, they were done in 3 days. Their quick and took care of business. I like Wade, he took care of the customer and made sure the client is happy. We ran into some issues but each time I took it to him, he took care of it. He's the only bright spot for them. read more

I called System Pavers to come and look at my project that I wanted to do in my driveway, I got a call from Mr. Moe Petrus. He was very informative as to how I could do, what color I should choose. He brought some designs, different configurations and I was very happy with the way that he proposed the project, and so we wrote up a contract. The crew that installed the pavers were very professional very neat and clean. After completion Moe came over to make sure everything is fine. I was extremely happy, everything is just went perfectly fine. I would recommend to anybody who wants to install pavers, go through Moe, he's calm, collective, friendly and knows how to treat people with respect. read more

I would not recommend this business. They are big time cheaters. Wish I could have given negative stars. Very customer unfriendly and non professional company. Recently I bought a house that has system pavers from the previous owner with a 25 years warranty. Previous owner of the house told me that the warranty stays with the house. When I called system pavers for some repairs after a few months of buying the house, they told me that according to the company policy you should have transferred the warranty on your name within 30 days of closing. Later I checked which was written in fine print but my previous owner was unaware of this policy and also the sales guy did not tell him anything like that, the sales guy told him that warranty stays with the house (false promise for selling their product). It sounds logical also that warranty stays with the house and works the same way with any product that is in the house. I am sure this policy was made just to mis-use this, they know at least 60-70% of the people are not going to live for 25 years in the same house and many of them will for sure forget to transfer the warranty and it is going to help them. Very cheap, unprofessional company. They are big time cheaters. read more

OK, I'm a Do-It-Yourselfer for many things, but there are some things that are best left to the pros; installing pavers for a driveway is one of them. I had a cement driveway that looked like it had been though World War II, so my wife and I decided to look into replacing it with pavers. I meticulously researched everything, and quickly realized that doing it myself was out of the question. There are a lot of important technical steps involved, including proper sloping of the driveway, compacting all the different levels of soil, base aggregate, bedding sand, joint sand, cutting pavers to fit tight areas, creating concrete edge restraints, etc. I searched for "paver installation" on Google, and saw the company "System Pavers" in Santa Ana, all over the place. They seemed to be the most well-known, so I avoided them, assuming that they would charge an arm and a leg. I then got a quote from an unlicensed contractor that sounded like a really good deal. But then I saw some photos online of badly-done paver installations, where the pavers began sinking and drifting. So I contacted a small, local landscaping company, which was licensed, for comparison purposes. To my surprise, they quoted me approximately the same price as the unlicensed contractor, and the quote included a 4-year warranty. Next, I decided to call System Pavers, who advertised a 25-year warranty. I assumed the System Pavers quote would be much higher, especially due to their long warranty. System Pavers Sales Rep Karen Shurtleff came to my house, and explained the process to me. She helped me select color schemes that coordinated well with my house. She explained the things that can go wrong if any part of the process is done incorrectly, and clarified the details of the 25-year warranty. After hearing about all the things that could go wrong with improper installations, and hearing about the long warranty, my heart wanted to go with System Pavers, but my head told me that the smaller local company would be much more cost effective... until Karen gave me a quote that pretty much matched that of the local company with the 4 -year warranty. So I ended up getting my wish, and went with System Pavers. I always do a lot of research before getting into something like this, and I still had a lot of questions; Karen kept in touch with me via text, phone, and email, answering all of them. Project Manager Tony Garcia came to my house to meet me, take measurements, and answer any questions. Within a few days his crew came to my house, ready to get started. Leo, Jose, and all the others were very professional, obviously knew their stuff, and completed my entire driveway project in 3 days! We are talking 800 square feet of driveway, with a lot of planters, columns, and steps to build around. (Take a look at the "Before" and "After" photos, to get an idea of the amount of work that was done.) In 3 days, they demolished the entire concrete driveway, dug the soil down to the desired level, set up measurements for the slope, placed and compacted all the different product (geotextile, aggregate, sand, etc.). They even relocated 3 sprinklers in my lawn, so that the pavers around the edge of the driveway would fit properly. Many pavers were also precision-cut, to fit perfectly into tight spaces. They placed the pavers in a "Capital I" pattern, and placed the colors in a way that created a random, yet even distribution. Karen told me that these guys were "artists," and she was right. If you are thinking of getting pavers for your driveway, or patio, or anything else, I don't think you will find any other company with the quality of work, price, and warranty of System Pavers. Highly recommended! read more

The guy that came out to give an estimate was rude and condescending. He was also an hour late.

Stay away. They make this amazing promise of not being like your typical contractors and they are the same if not worst then them. Had a simple job of planters and turf that was messed up from the start. They returned to try to fix it and still had issues and I even had to babysit the contractors they hired I'd assume. To prevent even more issues which I shouldn't at the "luxury" price they are charging. Then our original contact is fired, they don't handle that at all as all of our referrals aren't accounted for and the promises he made they act it never happened. Also was promised 10K on a future job after my five referrals and they now say that's not valid randomly. Save the headache and let down. Go with a local contractor and at least then you expect some of the usual stuff instead of being mislead with false hope of amazing service. read more

I was told 5-6 days and it turned into 15 days. The first crew they sent rarely showed up, left trash on our AC compressor, left early on days they did show, etc. After 10 days of that nonsense SP finally sent a different crew that finished the job in just over 3 days. I am honestly just relieved it is done at this point and the second crew earned them the second star for the review as they worked their butts off to get it done quickly. I chose to not go with lower bids because I hoped a big company could avoid multiple delays. I should have saved myself the money and gone with anyone else. Some of the pavers look like a milky liquid was poured over them (some have efflorescence, but there are a few pavers that are much worse and it really looks like a spill). I was told it would come off if I hosed the patio off a few times. It has been hosed off extensively thanks to a sick dog and the efflorescence isn't going anywhere. They told me they would seal the pavers as compensation for the bad experience, so did they seal in the efflorescence? Or is it something else? I am going to hire another company to clean the pavers as I don't want SP anywhere near my house again. read more
